Group places billboards of Black women killed by legal abortion around Ohio

Today, the pro-life group, Protecting Black Life has launched its 30-Day “Roll Call Billboard Campaign” in Greater Cincinnati, OH.

This “new” campaign contains billboards located in 10 of Cincinnati’s African American communities, where Ohio’s highest abortions occur, according to the Ohio Department of Health’s “2012 Induced Abortions in Ohio” report.

Their desire is to inform Black Americans in Greater Cincinnati, as well as the community at-large, that an ever-increasing number of young women-of-color are ending up dead, following so-called safe abortions.

Their first billboard highlights the death of Laura Hope Smith killed by a legal abortion. Her abortionists served time in prison following her death.

On September 13, 2007, young, beautiful, vibrant, 22-year-old Laura Hope Smith entered the Women’s Health Center in Hyannis, Massachusetts for an abortion. When Laura’s friend arrived to pick her up, Laura was not in the waiting room. An employee of the abortion mill said that Laura had aspirated during the abortion and 911 was sending an emergency response team. Although Laura was rushed to the hospital, it was too late! Laura can’t answer the “roll” when her name is called because of a so-called safe abortion.

The events contained in this tragic tale occur far more frequently than most people realize.

Read more on her death here.

It is Protecting Black Life’s hope that our “Roll Call” Billboard Campaign will prevent someone from venturing down the same dead-end road of abortion that Laura did. Abortion is not your only option,” the group states on their website .

Rev. Arnold Culbreath: Urban Outreach Director of Protecting Black Life – said the response to the billboard campaign has been positive, “So far we’re receiving comments like, “The billboard is VERY powerful. Not many words, straight to the point!,” “Impactful!,” “My husband said it hit home!” “People don’t usually think about the woman dying by abortion!”

It is my prayer that lives are saved as a result of this campaign…both born and unborn,” Culbreath writes on his Facebook page.

Below is a press conference Rev. Arnold Culbreath held after death of another Black women, Lakisha Wilson, following her late term abortion at Preterm in Ohio.

Protecting Black Life’s “Roll Call” billboards are currently located in many of Cincinnati’s African American communities, where Ohio’s highest abortions occur, according to the Ohio Department of Health’s report entitled: 2012 Induced Abortions in Ohio.

Abortion was founded on racism and the group, Life Dynamics, has done an excellent job of documenting the racist agenda of abortion in their film, Maafa21. Watch it for free here.

Abortion is a dangerous medical procedure killing women across this country of all races. See their list of names here.
