The pro-life group, Protecting Black Life is putting up billboards in Ohio which highlight deaths of Black women killed from legal abortion.

Their first billboard highlights the death of Laura Hope Smith killed by a legal abortion. Her death was so egregious that her abortionist served time in prison following her death.

“On September 13, 2007, young, beautiful, vibrant, 22-year-old Laura Hope Smith entered the Women’s Health Center in Hyannis, Massachusetts for an abortion, the group explains on their website“, When Laura’s friend arrived to pick her up, “Laura was not in the waiting room. An employee of the abortion mill said that Laura had aspirated during the abortion and 911 was sending an emergency response team. Although Laura was rushed to the hospital, it was too late! Laura can’t answer the “roll” when her name is called because of a so-called safe abortion.”

In an interview with WLWT, organizer Rev. Arnold Culbreath explained that abortion is the number one cause of death inside the African American community.

You take all the other causes [of black deaths] of death and add them up and that’s the total it gives you 289,072. When you add up the Black abortions you get 300,060,” Culbreath states, We are leaving this earth at a faster greater rate than we’re coming.”

Today, the pro-life group, Protecting Black Life has launched its 30-Day “Roll Call Billboard Campaign” in Greater Cincinnati, OH.

This “new” campaign contains billboards located in 10 of Cincinnati’s African American communities, where Ohio’s highest abortions occur, according to the Ohio Department of Health’s “2012 Induced Abortions in Ohio” report.

Their desire is to inform Black Americans in Greater Cincinnati, as well as the community at-large, that an ever-increasing number of young women-of-color are ending up dead, following so-called safe abortions.

The events contained in this tragic tale occur far more frequently than most people realize.

It is Protecting Black Life’s hope that our “Roll Call” Billboard Campaign will prevent someone from venturing down the same dead-end road of abortion that Laura did. Abortion is not your only option,” the group states on their website .

Rev. Arnold Culbreath: Urban Outreach Director of Protecting Black Life – said the response to the billboard campaign has been positive, “So far we’re receiving comments like, “The billboard is VERY powerful. Not many words, straight to the point!,” “Impactful!,” “My husband said it hit home!” “People don’t usually think about the woman dying by abortion!”

It is my prayer that lives are saved as a result of this campaign…both born and unborn,” Culbreath writes on his Facebook page.

Below is a press conference Rev. Arnold Culbreath held after death of another Black women, Lakisha Wilson, following her late term abortion at Preterm in Ohio.

Abortion was founded on racism and the group, Life Dynamics, has done an excellent job of documenting the racist agenda of abortion in their film, Maafa21. Watch it for free here.
