As NARAL, the lobbying group for abortion rights, rolled out a campaign they call “Men for Choice” attacks against pregnant women by pro-choice men are increasing.
Last month, the State of Florida Board of Medicine issued a “slap on the wrist” to an abortion doctor who was arrested after he slapped one of his abortion patients.
The incident occurred in 2010, when a woman identified only as “Amanda” went to the Orlando Woman’s Center abortion clinic to have her unborn child killed. Once she was on the table, abortionist Randall Whitney tried several times to find a vein in her arm to give her a shot of valium. And even though he was not able to put the needle into a vein, he injected the drug anyway. The result was a severe burning sensation in the woman’s arm and she started to scream. At the same time, her arm began to turn blue; she got up off the table and told Whitney she wanted to leave. He told her to shut up because she was frightening his other customers. Then, as she tried to leave, he slapped her in the face.
A transcript of the police report reads:
I, officer Hughley was sitting inside the office when I heard a OWC [Orlando Woman’s Center] patient run out of one of the rooms screaming advising the doctor has slapped her. I followed the patient outside and she advised in a sworn written statement: she went into the exam room to get an abortion procedure and the doctor was trying to find a vein to give some valium. She Amanda ______ advised the doctor had poked her three times trying to get the needle in the vein. She told him the needle was not in the vein and it started to burn. Amanda advised she started screaming. The doctor took the needle out and told her to shut up because she was scaring other patients. Amanda advised she got up and told the doctor she wanted to leave, so she stood up and the doctor slapped her on the left side of the face. Amanda advised that’s when she left. She also advised she did not give the doctor permission to slap her and wishes to press charges. Due to the needle or medicine Amanda’s fingers began to turn blue, so OFD (Orlando Fire Department) was notified. When I (officer Hughley) went back inside the building, the doctor (Dr Whitney) was sitting in the front office and he advised he did slap Amanda because she was being very uncooperative and he was trying to calm her down. Assistant Sonia Merced was inside the room with Dr. Whitney, but refuse to say what happened, nor did she want to write a statement. Dr Whitney refused to write a statement also. Amanda’s face was red on the left side of the face. Whitney was arrested and transported to central booking for aggravated battery.
Eventually, the police were called and Whitney was arrested and charged with aggravated battery. But in 2012, authorities reduced the charge from a felony to a misdemeanor and a few weeks ago, he was reprimanded and given what amounts to a slap on the wrist.
According to Mark Crutcher, president of Life Dynamics, Inc. which investigates the abortion industry, “This of course, is exactly the kind of behavior we’ve come to expect from the washouts and losers who work in abortion clinics.”
Media and Pro-choice Women’s Groups Ignore Real War On Women:
Crutcher points out that, “The abortion lobby’s media stooges will always look the other way when these episodes take place. And if you want to see how outrageous that is, just ask yourself how much coverage this story would have gotten if, instead of being assaulted by her abortionist, this woman had been slapped by a pro-life sidewalk counselor as she was walking into the clinic. Where are the so-called women’s groups? If anyone other than an abortionist had done the same thing, do you think they might have trotted out their “war-on-women” rhetoric? Count on it.”

Just this month the following cases of PRO-CHOICE VIOLENCE have been documented;
A South Dakota man has been accused of giving herbs to girlfriend to cause an abortion. According to reports, 36 year old Alfredo Vargas once told his pregnant girlfriend Lisa Komes that she should get an abortion. Komes claims that Vargas gave her a drink she said tasted bitter and gritty. On another occasion, she said, she saw white residue at the bottom of her fountain drink cup. Not long after, Vargas brought her another fountain drink — and it smelled minty, and Komes called the police. The drink was taken for testing and Komes said police determined it contained pulegone, an herb known to cause a miscarriage. Vargas, faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
An Ohio man who allegedly shot at his pregnant girlfriend when she refused to get an abortion has been arrested on charges of felonious assault. According to reports, the 18 year-old woman told police that she was driving her car when, her unborn baby’s father, 23 year-old Tanner Hopkins, pulled up next to her and fired two shots without saying a word. The victim told police that Hopkins insisted she get an abortion and said he was mad because she refused to do that. Both the victim and the unborn child were not hurt in the assault.
In Florida, the son of a doctor has admitted in court that he intentionally tricked his pregnant girlfriend into taking a drug he hoped would cause a miscarriage. 28 year old John Andrew Welden pleaded guilty to federal charges of product tampering and mail fraud, admitting that he slipped his ex-girlfriend the abortion drug. According to reports, Welden did not want to be a father, so when his girlfriend, Remee Jo Lee, got pregnant, Welden faked a prescription for an abortion pill, switched a label so the medication appeared to be a common antibiotic, and gave her the drug. The drug did its job. The unborn baby died. Welden faces up to 15 years in prison at his sentencing hearing scheduled for Dec. 5.
A 24-year-old Wisconsin man was found guilty after pleading no contest to charges he punched a pregnant woman in the stomach to make her miscarry and then doused her with gasoline. According to the criminal complaint, Tyler Ress poured gas on Carrie Lynn Mayhone and then held a lighter near her, threatening to start her on fire. He punched Mayhone, who was pregnant, in the stomach several times, telling her he wanted to force her to abort the baby.
A Pennsylvania man is in police custody, charged with simple assault and other offenses after he allegedly threatened to cut the baby out of his pregnant ex-girlfriend. Police say that 29 year old James Lynch also allegedly dragged the three-months-pregnant woman down a flight of stairs, bruising her body. Lynch has also been charged with reckless endangerment, terroristic threats, burglary, robbery of a vehicle, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and harassment, according to court records.
In June of this year 26-year-old Ryan Timothy Reeves, was arrested and accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend. According to the police report, Reeves told his girlfriend if she did not get an abortion, he would stomp on her stomach with his cowboy boots. Reeves has been charged with third-degree domestic assault and second-degree property damage.
Also in June, 21-year-old Carlton “CJ” Bryan, was arrested and accused of hiring a hit man to kill his pregnant girlfriend, Shamari Jenkins. Police believe the motive for the murder was over Jenkin’s decision not to have an abortion.
Mark Crutcher, President of Life Dynamics, Inc., a national pro-life organization located in Denton, Texas, has documented that violence inflicted on pregnant women by pro-choice men who want their pregnancy aborted is nothing new.
Life Dynamics has collected data on a large volume of these cases and compiled the data in a report entitled, “Under-the-Radar Violence in the Conflict Over Abortion.”
Crutcher asks, “What happens when men use abortion as a sort of safety net? What do they do when the woman they’ve impregnated won’t jump into the net?
Crutcher warns women, “If he’s going to be pro-choice about your baby, he might be pro-choice about you.”
The report points out that this kind of violence against women is not commonly reported by the media.
According to Crutcher, “In almost every incident in which women are told that they will be physically harmed unless they abort, they are going to comply, never tell anyone and, thus, fade into anonymity. For those who resist and end up on a stretcher or an autopsy table, they can expect to have their experiences hidden under a thick blanket of media deception. When we were able to obtain copies of police reports, indictments, court records or other similar documentation for these cases, they would almost universally show that when a perpetrator is confronted by an unwanted pregnancy, his first response is not violence but a demand that his partner have an abortion. When violence ensues, it is inevitably a reaction to her refusal to comply. However, the media’s coverage of these incidents often contains no mention of abortion. Instead, they either portray women who are attacked for refusing to have abortions as women who are attacked for getting pregnant, or they characterize the incident as one of simple “domestic violence” in which the victim’s pregnancy is basically inconsequential.”
Life Dynamics also documents that the abortion lobby is aware of how common this problem is:
Crutcher states, “Over the years, we have acquired tape recordings of National Abortion Federation (NAF) conventions in which discussions about women being forced to have abortions were held. The prevailing attitude expressed in these sessions may best be described as one of “convenient indifference.” Attendees will acknowledge the problem’s existence and talk about it in disapproving tones, while making it clear that they feel no obligation to let it influence the way they deal with these women. Their philosophical position seems to be that, even if a woman chooses to have an abortion she doesn’t want because of threats from others, it remains within the “pro-choice” purview since she was still the one who ultimately made the decision. In fact, on the NAF tapes mentioned above, some abortion clinic employees can be heard paraphrasing this very argument and using it to justify their habit of looking the other way. It is a truly bizarre rationalization analogous to saying that women who submit to sexual relations at the point of a gun are not really being raped since, technically, they are consenting.”
“At the clinic level, there are also two additional considerations. First, those who provide abortions have a financial interest in the woman’s decision. If she aborts a profit is made, if she doesn’t a profit is lost. This remains true whether free-will or force was driving her decision. The abortion industry may not approve of women being bludgeoned or killed for refusing to have abortions. But they have made it clear that they are willing to write-off these women as just collateral damage in the war to keep abortion legal.”
Crutcher concludes by pointing out that the early feminists who wrote the equal rights amendment were opposed to the legalization of abortion because of how it would ultimately affect women. “What these early feminist leaders understood is that legalized abortion does not advance the cause of womens’ equality but is, instead, a safety net for sexually predatory and sexually irresponsible males. They were warning that, in practice, legalized abortion would become a mechanism for these kinds of men to avoid any commitments to the women whose bodies they use or any responsibility for the children they father. Regrettably, that is what we see being played out in front of us today.”
