Media narrative on feminism is pro-abortion and disregards pro-life opposition

Sorry, pro-abortion media: Pro-life feminism isn’t going away

feminism

On the heels of the #MeToo and #TimesUP movements came International Women’s Day, a date set to celebrate the accomplishments of women and look upon ways to improve their lives. However, the media predictably seems to have chosen to seek out the voices of abortion supporters with regard to feminism, again largely neglecting the thoughts of pro-life feminists.

Yahoo! asked simply, “What is feminism in 2018?” but failed to publish the remarks of a “conservative [female] campus leader” alongside the remarks of other feminists; Yahoo! reserved her thoughts for a completely separate article, essentially segregating her comments from the overall discussion of feminism.

And while USA Today quoted some conservative and pro-life women in a piece they published, asking, “Can you be a Conservative feminist?” the publication failed to point out that pro-life feminism used to be the standard. Early feminist leaders like Susan B. Anthony referred to abortion as “child murder” and viewed it as a means of exploiting both women and children. They demonstrated that true feminism was pro-motherhood, pro-woman, and pro-child.

The fact that conservative feminism was questioned to begin with reveals a deeper problem.

Some mainstream media articles on International Women’s Day included interviews with the head of an abortion rights organization, but failed to give equal time to pro-life leaders. The author of the Yahoo! article, for instance, managed to include the thoughts and statements of NARAL abortion lobby group president Ilyse Hogue but failed to publish remarks from female leaders of national pro-life organizations. Perhaps this was a simple error… or perhaps it wasn’t; after all, pro-life women do not fit into the modern day feminist image or the pro-abortion media narrative on feminism.

But Yahoo News cannot be totally faulted for this way of thinking, since history teaches us that the association of abortion and feminism was by design. National Organization for Women (NOW) founder Betty Friedan, the “mother of the women’s movement” in the 1960s, was herself complicit in silencing pro-life women and allowing them to be systematically pushed out of NOW for one single reason: they opposed abortion. Despite this, NOW was inaccurately dubbed the largest “women’s organization” in the nation, even though the group philosophically discriminated against pro-life members, and a major pro-life women’s group far outnumbered them. While many pro-life feminists in the 1960s and 70s were in agreement with fighting inequality and abuse of women on all fronts, they spoke against NOW’s insertion of abortion into their plank in the late 1960s.

The idea of inserting abortion into NOW’s plank came not from Friedan, but from two men: Larry Lader and Bernard Nathanson. These men were obsessed with decriminalizing abortion as was Planned Parenthood’s then-president, Alan Guttmacher, a former vice president of the American Eugenics Society. Lader, who had known Friedan for many years, authored a biography of Planned Parenthood’s eugenicist founder, Margaret Sanger, and called himself “her disciple.”

Image: Larry Lader and Bernard Nathanson. Nathanson became pro-life.

Larry Lader and Bernard Nathanson — two men behind the original abortion industry in the U.S.

Once these men were successful in convincing Friedan to make abortion a part of NOW’s plank, the group, along with the mostly male-dominated media at that time, deliberately chose to link feminism directly with one issue: abortion. They redefined being a “feminist” and made it so that such a term became synonymous with asserting a woman’s dominance over her preborn child instead of with fighting inequality or fighting abuse, for example. This caused a deep rift between pro-life and pro-abortion feminists — a rift that remains to this day.

Today, we see the effects of this way of thinking, as many women remain silent in the face of real abuses against other women, as in the case of Harvey Weinstein, in which notable female Hollywood actresses failed to speak out to warn vulnerable women in the industry. This was never the intention of true feminism. True feminism spoke up for women as well as those weaker than themselves: their children.

Many of the same Hollywood actors and media outlets that were silent on the Weinstein scandal are equally silent on the fact that Planned Parenthood covers up child sexual abuse, often returning underaged victims of rape and sexual assault into the arms of sexual abusers. This has been documented again and again, but thanks to modern day feminism’s allegiance to abortion, Planned Parenthood remains government-funded, protected, and unaccountable while child victims are left to fend for themselves.

When the media discusses feminism, any perceived threat to “reproductive rights” (another term for “abortion rights”) is always front and center, again making it seem as if all women and all feminists find this to the be the most pressing issue for women, and synonymous with feminism, which is untrue.

A large number of women in the U.S. oppose abortion, at least on some level, and many oppose it altogether. Many women who have experienced abortion come to regret it deeply. Not all women think alike on the issue of abortion.  Unfortunately, because of pro-life feminists’ view that the preborn child in the womb is deserving of equal protection as a human person, their voices are dismissed.

Yahoo! quotes NARAL’s president as stating, “To me, it just seems like a basic, fundamental understanding — it’s cliché at this point: Feminism is the radical notion that women are equal. Period. Full stop.”

Of course women are equal to men. The problem is that pro-abortion feminists don’t believe women are equal to men without abortion. And if this idea about feminism is so “basic,” then why the bias against pro-life feminists? Aren’t they also of the mindset that women are equal to men?

It’s time to end the deliberate sabotaging and outright silencing of pro-life female voices (and importantly, pro-life women of color) in the arena of public debate. It is time for the media to stop pandering to the radical abortion lobby and open the door to female voices from a wider range of thought.

Numbers don’t add up that 1 in 5 women visit Planned Parenthood

Posted in Cecile Richards, Planned Parenthood lies, Planned Parenthood one in five, Ryan Bomberger with tags , , , , , , , , , , on September 11, 2015 by saynsumthn

If 1 in 5 women visited Planned Parenthood then in 2013 they would have seen between 21,554,197.2 and 32,151,232.6 women alone.

Yet the total patient visits of both males and females to Planned Parenthood for the 2013-2014 year only totaled 2.7 million.

This contradicts what Cecile Richards told George Stephanopoulos in July.

“One in five women in this country depend on Planned Parenthood for healthcare. More than 2 1/2 million every single year,” the Planned Parenthood prez stated. (Approx 3 minutes into the interview)

That statement is far from true.

In fact, Planned Parenthood likes to make slight changes to their figures to keep us confused. The abortion business which has been exposed harvesting aborted baby body parts brags that 1 in 5 women use their services in a lifetime. That is a difficult figure to dispute and and even harder one to disprove. What is a lifetime- how many women each year?

In Planned Parenthood’s 2013-2014 annual report they claim to operate approximately 700 health centers across the U.S. which saw 2.7 million patients in that year.

Planned Parenthood 2013 2014 patients

Then, on their website, they state the following:

2.7 million to women and men in the United States annually visit Planned Parenthood affiliate health centers for trusted health care services and information.

Eighty-four percent of Planned Parenthood health care clients in the U.S. are age 20 and older.

One in five women in the U.S. has visited a Planned Parenthood health center at least once in her life.

PP Websites patients

1 in 5 women in 2013?

Between July 1, 2013 and July 1, 2014 the CDC estimated there were between 316 to 318.9 million people residing in the United States.

According to US Census Bureau estimates there were 160,756,163 total females in the United States in 2013.

Using the percentage of males vs. females in the above census that would mean that of the 2.7 million people who visited Planned Parenthood 1,371,330 were female.

If 1 in 5 total females in the United States were to have visited Planned Parenthood in 2013 that would mean that 32,151,232.6 women alone visited them which far exceeds their total patient visits of 2.7 million.

US Census 2013 male female

If we break the 1 in 5 numbers down to just females between the ages of 14 to 64 (107,770,986) then 21,554,197.2 females alone would have visited Planned Parenthood in 2013 which again far exceeds their 2.7 million total patient number .

And if we assume that all 2.7 million patient visits to Planned Parenthood in 2013 were female, it would only amount to 2.5% of total females ages 14 to 64 in the United States in 2013 a far fewer amount than the 1 in 5 they tout.

Using slightly different figures from the US Census data of 105,742,712 for females ages 15-64, Ryan Bomberger made the same point in his meme which inspired my post:

Any way you do the math- the figures don’t add up.

It is time to get the facts.

Women union parade goers turn on Hillary: ‘I Just Don’t Trust Her’

Posted in Hillary clinton with tags , , , , , , , , on September 10, 2015 by saynsumthn

On Kyle Olson, ventured to a union event in the blue-collar town of Muskegon, Michigan to gauge members’ tastes in presidential candidates.

Kyle Olson Michigan

Muskegon is middle America — the “middle of the middle,” one person said.

Olson talked to several people at the Muskegon, Michigan Labor Day Union Parade!

The Parade, which is only two union-focused Labor Day parades in the state of Michigan, consisted of over 800 participants and 42 labor unions, non-profits, veterans groups and local politicians.

Hillary has promoted herself as an advocate for women yet some Michigan union parade goers are opposed to Hillary for president saying they do not trust her.

Olson asked parade attendees, many of them women, “What do you think of Hillary Clinton?”

Some told Olson they supported her others seemed to be past supporters who have changed their minds on voting for her.

“I would probably end up voting for Hillary, but I am interested in a lot of the things Bernie Sanders is saying,” said one Hillary supporter.

Another added, “I voted in the primaries last time around for Hillary, I was a Hillary supporter. She’s disappointed me a little bit. I think she’s waffled on some things…” Those things included gay marriage and abortion.

One woman derided Hillary Clinton as changing her mind and added that she doesn’t trust her.

“I don’t trust her at all – I just don’t – she changes her mind every minute. She plays a lot of underhanded games. I think she could do it, I don’t think that I want her to do it,” she said.

A man attending the union day parade said he was for Hillary because he felt she could glean experience from former president and her husband, Bill Clinton in a co-presidency type of role.

Planned Parenthood vid portrays women as emotionally weak regarding abortion

Posted in Abortion Stigma, Planned Parenthood spin, Planned Parenthood Videos, Pro-choice Hypocrisy, Pro-choice Spin with tags , , , , , , , , on March 11, 2015 by saynsumthn

A Planned Parenthood video on so-called “abortion stigma” portrays women as weak and incapable of criticism and of being unable to feel confident in their so-called liberating choice to have an abortion.

Abortion Stigma

According to the video, any feeling of guilt or remorse by women purchasing the child killing service is because of outside forces.

While at the same time, the abortion industry wants you to believe that the woman’s desire to have an abortion is all from her and not pressure from a family member or a counselor who takes pay to sell the procedure.

As I analyze Planned Parenthood’s “abortion-stigma” video, I conclude that they are painting women as weak.

She may feel uncomfortable about asking someone to accompany her to the clinic,” the video states, “or watch her kids out of fear of being judged.”

She may have to work extra hours, borrow money, or sell her belongings…” says Planned Parenthood.

Solution to this problem? Tax funded abortion of course.

You see, the “I never saw an abortion I could not profit from” organization wants abortion to be a private decision between a woman and her doctor, until, that is, it is time to cash out. Then, and only then, can the taxpayer have a say.

Abortion Stigma states law

Many states have additional laws that reinforce the idea that abortion is morally wrong and socially unacceptable,” the video continues.

“When a woman arrives at the health center for her appointment she might encounter anti-abortion protesters shouting at her…” they state.

Abortion stigma planned parenthood vid protesters

And what might these “protesters” say?

Some may be warning them that women who go to Planned Parenthood sometimes die and end up at the morgue. Like Tonya Reaves died after Planned Parenthood left her bleeding for 5 hours before transferring her to the hospital, where she drew her last breath. Reaves’ “abortion stigma” is now permanent.

Tonya Reaves 8771253239275194306_n

The video then claims that regulated state mandated information is incorrect a point I would strongly differ on, “And, once inside the clinic, she may have to go over incorrect state mandated information about abortion,” they state.

Really, Planned Parenthood?

Are women that unable to cope with their own private decisions – or- do they come to the profit making abortion clinic uncertain?

In which case, all those so-called laws you spoke about should actually assist her in the event she wants to change her mind because of her uncertainty.

It’s also important to consider what might happen to a woman after her abortion,” Planned Parenthood says.

Yep…like….a ride in the ambulance perhaps because of a serious botch job or complication?

Ambulance Feb 2013

But, what Planned Parenthood was referring to with that statement were those pesky free speech statements on TV, the media or billboards that women see that allegedly add to her feelings of uncertainty – because- as I stated- Planned Parenthood is painting women as weak and unable to stand confidently on their own decisions.

Abortion Stigma Planned Parenthood messages

But, Planned Parenthood doesn’t end by just explaining the “abortion stigma” of women seeking abortions, allegedly, according to the abortion clinic chain, women are not the only weak ones here.

Abortion Stigma patient provider

Apparently, abortion providers or as Planned Parenthood paints it, “people who work in abortion care” also feel this so-called stigma.

I guess if an abortionist is BIG enough and TOUGH enough to suck an innocent baby from the womb shouldn’t they be able to handle so-called “abortion stigma?

No way- not according to Planned Parenthood which states:

They may feel unsupported by family or friends and separate from their neighbors and community. This type of relationship damage can impact health creating feelings of isolation and even workplace burnout.”

Oh NO!

We can’t allow abortion doctors to get burned out and QUIT can we? I speak sarcastically, of course.

abortion stigma providers protesters

They may have to enter their workplace everyday hearing that their work is unwelcome in their community. Abortion clinic staff may feel that other medical providers see their work as illegitimate or unimportant…

Uh…yeah !

Abortion staff can sometimes feel as though their colleagues who don’t work in abortion services don’t understand what they go through day-to-day and that colleagues may unintentionally add to their experiences stigma,” Planned Parenthood says.

Oh…please!

So, let’s recap.

If a woman or an abortion worker feels “abortion stigma” it is because of me or you or TV or the media- or the community- or the church- or billboards- or free speech – or – everyone else except them.

How ridiculous !

As I like to state, “Abortion stigma is between a woman and her abortion provider – ONLY!

The group, which pals around with leftists like former terrorist Bill Ayers, abortion clinic owner Diane Derzis and former abortion clinic operator, Carol Downer, co-founder of the Feminist Women’s Health Center, are threatened by this blog- really?

Speaking of Carol Downer, Stop Patriarchy just linked to an article Downer wrote which was published in Counterpunch. I will cite from below to show you the warped mindset of these people:

I’d like to propose that women revive the meetings with other women to share vaginal self-examination to build a movement that could actually seize the means to gain sovereignty for themselves, and to change the power relationship between all women and the State?

“Unless a substantial number of us learn how to reliably and safely prevent or terminate pregnancy ourselves, reproductive rights activists’ strategies will be limited to demanding, begging, petitioning, voting, and/or, lobbying, suing, or rabble-rousing whenever the political climate changes worsens.

Stop Patriarchy women dead abortion

Anyway- Stop Patriarchy has put out a call for quality signs they can parade around during the marches of women who allegedly died duing the days of illegal abortion -so very many years ago!

Stop Patriarchy’s website explains, “THIS JANUARY we want to bring HUGE pictures of women who died from illegal abortion. In many protests, we have carried 11” x 17” enlargements of the pictures included here and the effect is dramatic.”

But the graphics are poor quality, very “pixalated” and we can’t enlarge these files any bigger without losing the image altogether.

“Can you recreate these images so they will be 6 feet tall? An artistic rendering? What’s your idea?

“ALSO, help develop a concept of how these can be effectively and easily displayed. Using PVC pipe? A better idea?

“We must have these graphics by Jan 19 at the latest. Contact us today at stoppatriarchy@gmail.com if you have ideas or want to get involved.”

Hey members of Stop Patriarchy, the pro-life movement already has plenty of LARGE images of women killed from legal abortion which you can use:

And here is a picture of a woman killed from legal abortion which I took myself – at her funeral!

img169
Carolina Gutierrez, bought the lie that abortion is a safe, legal procedure. It took her six weeks to die from an infection so bad after her abortion that she developed gangrene.

On December 19, 1995, Carolina Gutierrez, a young Hispanic immigrant woman and mother of two, went to the Maber Medical Center abortion clinic in Miami, Florida to undergo a “Safe/Legal” abortion. At the clinic, she was given a business card printed in Spanish — and a sheet in English warning about possible complications of the abortion, including infection. Neither Gutierrez nor her husband reads English. When Carolina returned home that afternoon, she was staggering and complaining of pain in her belly and chest. Fever set in. She called the clinic and someone hung up. During the next two days, Gutierrez called the clinic at least twice more and left messages on an answering machine but no one called back. By December 21, Carolina was barely able to breathe and the family dialed 911. At Jackson Memorial Hospital, doctors said Gutierrez was suffering from blood infection so severe that she was in septic shock with an infection that led to gangrene in her feet and fingers.

img165img168

Lawyers for the family said doctors told them that her uterus was perforated at least twice. Within days, doctors decided the threat of spreading gangrene was greater than the risk of surgery and they made the difficult decision to amputate both of Carolina’s legs just below the knees to contain the infection. Despite all of this, on February 5,1996, the 21-year-old woman died, according to an autopsy, of an infection “subsequent to termination of pregnancy.” When her death became public, the Maber Medical Center abortion clinic shut its doors. Operators Roque Garcia and Maria Luisa Garcia dropped out of public sight. Lawyers for the family say that their law firm received numerous calls from women who have developed complications following abortions performed at Maber or by its staff physician, Dr. Luis Marti. Their complaints mirror what happened to Gutierrez. The principal difference is that they survived, and she didn’t.

And there is always this one of Marla Cardemone- her autopsy was uploaded by a pro-life group at the request of her mother who wanted the world to know what legal abortion did to her daughter.

Don’t be fooled- Stop Patriarchy is not interested in women or their health- they want one thing: Abortion on Demand W/O Apology!

Pro-life leader says not to judge a woman going for an abortion

Posted in Pro-LIfe Action League, Sidewalk Counseling with tags , , , , , , , , on November 11, 2014 by saynsumthn

Eric Scheidler , executive director of the Pro-Life Action League, says that pro-lifers should reach out to women going for abortions with love by, “Offering help to a woman as she’s entering an abortion clinic in hopes that she will change her mind and choose life for her baby.”

Scheidler says that anger and argument have no place outside the abortion clinic contrary to what some groups believe. Scheidler says that there are certain groups that think women should be reminded of their sin as they enter the abortion clinic.

Now some believe that we have an obligation to accuse these women of their sin. That we’re somehow betraying the truth if we don’t bring sin to the forefront. But that’s not what our Lord did,” Sheidler says in a video he uploaded on the subject!

But, Sheidler says above all, pro-lifers should not judge these women, he cites Jesus as His example for this:
