The Gospel vs The Zombies

From the author of this video, “The annual Ottawa Zombie Walk, a public demonstration of everyday people’s love and celebration of murder, bloodshed and gore, all in the name of innocent fun, took to the downtown streets of Ottawa again on Oct 27. The most heartbreaking part of this morbid event is the sight of children being encouraged by their parents to participate, complete with depictions of violence, bloodshed and death upon them from head to toe.

Of course, there are no such things as zombies but that does not detract from the reality that the participants are in such obvious need for the eternal benefits gained from God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ, lest they perish forever. The gospel is the means to one’s salvation. The gospel was delivered.”

And though it may seem that nobody was listening, I know from my vantage point that some people were. Also, during and after the open air session, Kim, Chris and I were approached by some who had meaningful questions and we talked with them, even one of them being an RCMP officer who asked me to share what I had to say personally with him. He and many others received our “Are You Ready” tracts.”

Despite the distractions, proclaiming the gospel is never a waste of time or effort. People receive a seed or a seed that may have already been planted is watered and God is always glorified.”

Clerk To Gunman: ‘Jesus Has Something Way Better For You’

POSTED: Friday, July 30, 2010
UPDATED: 8:09 am EDT July 30, 2010
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — A cell phone store employee talked a man out of robbing the store last Friday by talking to him about Jesus, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said a man went into the MetroPCS store on Cypress Road, pretending that he wanted to buy a cell phone.

The man talked pleasantly to 20-year-old Nayara Goncalves, the only employee in the store, before pulling a gun and demanding cash from the register, police said.
Goncalves remained calm and started talking to the man about what he was doing. BSO released the surveillance video, which captured the conversation.
I’m Christian,” Goncalves said.

“So am I, and I actually really hate doing this,” the gunman said. “I’m embarrassed to have to do this, and I have no choice.”

“You don’t have to do this,” Goncalves said.

“Talk about making it harder,” the gunman said.

“Jesus has got something way better for you, for everyone that’s out there. I’m not blaming you. I’m not judging. I don’t know what you’re going through, but all of us are going through a hard time right now, a very hard time right now,” Goncalves said.

“That’s why I refuse to do anything to anybody else,” the gunman said. “I’ve never done this before.”

Goncalves spoke to the gunman for about five minutes, even offering to help him get a job so he would not have to steal.

“I have a job,” the gunman said.

“You do? Then why are you doing this?” Goncalves said.

“Because I’m going to be evicted if I don’t come up with $300,” the gunman said.

After Goncalves talked to the man, he left without harming her or taking anything, police said.

“I’m sorry. I understand if you still have to call the police,” the gunman said as he left.

Goncalves did call police a few minutes after the man left. She told Local 10 that her faith helped prevent the robbery.

“I’m very Christian and I go to church a lot, so I just feel like I want to tell everybody about Jesus,” Goncalves said.

She said she does not believe the man was a bad person, just desperate.

BSO said the would-be robber was a white man with a mustache in his late 30s to mid-40s who was about 5 feet 9 inches tall.

Two Christians Murdered for Witnessing in Boynton Beach

Why the National Media Blackout?
VISTA, Calif., Feb. 5 /Christian Newswire/ — “Anti-Christian hostility is getting increasingly deadly as this week’s tragic events demonstrate,” said Dr. Gary Cass of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission. “The increasing demonization of Christians in our culture makes some feel its open season on Christians.”

According to the Boynton Beach police, simply sharing the word of God on the street is what brought two ministers to the man who killed them. Tite Sufra, 24, and Stephen Ocean, 23, were shot and killed Saturday night after meeting Stephen Ocean, 18. They witnessed to Woody for fifteen minutes when he got a phone call and told the preachers he ‘had to go.’ As they walked away, Woody suddenly started walking back toward them. Sufra walked up to greet him and was killed with a shot gun blast at point blank range. When Ocean ran, he was shot in the back. After he fell, Woody shot him in the head execution style. Woody was arrested Wednesday and is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

“As of today, there are no national news organizations reporting this vicious murder of two innocent Christian men. Why?” Cass said, “I’ll ask this: If two Muslims, or two feminists or two homosexuals were murdered, wouldn’t the media be all over it? These were two fine young black Christian men shot by another black man for their Christian faith, yet the media does not seem to care.”

Cass continued: “It is an ominous sign of our times that Christians are being shot on the streets and in our churches. Last year Jim Pullion was killed while holding pro-life signs in front of his granddaughter’s Owasso Michigan high school. Rev. Fred Winters was murdered while preaching in his pulpit in Maryville, Illinois. Increasingly we see Christian ministers threatened and churches terrorized and vandalized for their stand on marriage. Now when Christians gather for worship they must have armed security. Anti- Christian defamation and bigotry has helped to create this violent climate and it must stop.”

About the Christian Anti- Defamation Commission – The Christian Anti- Defamation Commission (CADC) is a national, not-for- profit 501(c) (3) Education Corporation whose purpose it is to champion Christian religious liberty, domestically and internationally, by standing against anti-Christian defamation, bigotry, and discrimination.

Had these men been abortion doctors, the news media would be a buzzz- the trial , arrest, history, of this killer would be on every news station. What was this man’s motive? What was his “religious beliefs”? Was he an anti-Christian Bigot or terrorist? Will the media examine all his “known associates” ? Will they investigate where this killer “Worshiped” and what his political beliefs were? So far most of the news coverage has been local. Guess we will see what the life of a “Preacher” is worth in TV Coverage.

No matter- God knows their names and God knows the motive. We pray that justice is done, but pray also that this killer will find Christ, as was the last wish of these 2 brave Christian martyrs.

Witness to abortion , “two-month old fetus placed in a metal bowl as it was expelled”

I found the most interesting post on the US Message Board under: Libs: What are your true cultural values?

Poster MaggieMae’s states,

Abortion: First, a confession: I used to be pro-choice for all the politically correct reasons, until the day my niece, an RN who was living with us at the time, came home after her shift and described the unbelievable event that happened following a patient’s miscarriage.

The two-month old fetus, presumed dead, had been placed in a metal bowl as it was expelled, when suddenly a tiny cavity opened (the mouth, although not distinguishable as such) and the fetus took a breath of air. In that instant, the film (not yet skin) covering the baby came alive with visible blood rushing throughout the formed veins of the tiny body, like watching an animated X-ray my niece said. It took less than 30 seconds for this incredible event, and then the child died because its organs were not yet able to sustain its life further. But that struggle for life was clear, even at that early stage.

My dilemma remains, however, how should society treat all the unwanted children?

Makes you think- HUH?
