A Wilmington, Delaware Planned Parenthood has egg on their face after calling police to report a suspicious package which, as it turns out, blew out of their own trash dumpster.

According to Delaware Online, Wilmington police were called out to the area of Sixth and Orange streets where the alleged “suspicious package” was discovered Wednesday morning.

In response, police shut down Orange St. from 6th to 7th St while they investigated.

The package was discovered about 8:10 a.m. in the rear parking lot of Planned Parenthood in the 600 block of Orange St.

Capt. William Browne said that a Planned Parenthood employee found the box addressed to Planned Parenthood on the grass next to the parking lot and called police.

The box was examined by members of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team and found to contain nothing, Master Sgt. Donald Bluestein said.

The area was cleared around 9:45.

Police believe it was trash and had blown out of a dumpster in the lot of Planned Parenthood, Browne said.

Police suspect the box probably blew out of Planned Parenthood’s dumpster because of the wind.

Anti-abortion billboard campaign targets Planned Parenthood in Delaware

Today, Delaware Right to Life has placed pro-life billboards in their community to send a message to Planned Parenthood clinic workers that illegal activity could send them to prison.

According to Delaware Right to Life, the goal of the campaign is to, “urge abortion clinic workers and volunteers to protect themselves from ongoing investigations into crimes in the abortion industry before it is too late.”

The campaign by Delaware Right to Life is a result of Life Dynamics’ Clinic Worker project. Life Dynamics, a national pro-life organization in Denton, Texas, provided the artwork for the billboards.

DERTL PP Billboard Wilmington

According to Rae Stabosz, board member of Delaware Right to Life, “We are placing the billboards in places where clinic workers will see them. So far we’ve placed four billboards in two of three Delaware counties. Delaware Right to Life had an existing pro-life billboard behind Planned Parenthood in Wilmington, the site where several clinic workers quit their jobs, describing what they observed as “meat market style assembly line abortions” which sent five patients to emergency rooms in an eight week period. Planned Parenthood also employed abortionist Timothy Liveright whose license was recently suspended for being a “clear and immediate danger to the public”, according to the attorney general’s office. We have placed one Clinic Worker billboard below our existing billboard in that location. The billboard is located at the entrance to the Planned Parenthood staff parking lot where workers will see it daily as they enter the clinic. ”

Delaware Right to Life has this message for clinic workers who will see the billboards in their campaign, “We appeal to you to protect yourselves, do the right thing. Abortion is a profit-minded industry that operates under the mask of respectability with little to no public accountability. But now the states are wising up. Get out before you get caught in the tide of exposure.”

Clinic Worker Business Card

According to Life Dynamic’s press release, it is clear that the pro-life movement has a greater potential for recruiting informants from the abortion industry than ever before. To capitalize on this, Life Dynamics, Inc. a national pro-life organization located in Denton, Texas is re-launching its ClinicWorker.com direct mail campaign.

Since Life Dynamics began the ClinicWorker.com project, they have seen that virtually every abortion clinic in the country is engaged in at least some sort of illegal activity and most are engaged in several. Life Dynamics claims that when this information is brought out into the public, the consequences for the abortion industry can be devastating.

Crutcher recently spoke about this project on his monthly TV show, Life Talk,

Clinic Worker poster

According to Crutcher, “In just one example, several years ago two employees of Petroplex Gynecological – an abortion clinic in Midland, Texas – contacted us with information documenting that the abortionist who owned this facility was underreporting his income and filing false Medicaid claims. Following several days of conversations with these women, we called our contact at the Internal Revenue Service and made arrangements to turn this evidence over to them. Within a few months, that material was used to convict abortionist John Alderman and send him to a federal prison. His abortion clinic was also shut down and never reopened.”

Clinic Worker osterAccording to Mark Crutcher, president of Life Dynamics Inc, a national pro-life organization in Denton, Texas, “Every piece of information we need to destroy the abortion industry is in the abortion industry.”

Life Dynamics has considerable experience with abortion clinic employees and former employees who have either witnessed or participated in illegal activities occurring at their places of work. A few of the most common of these crimes include:

• Income Tax Evasion • Physical Assault of Patients
• Medicaid Fraud • Sexual Harassment of Employees
• Insurance Fraud • Sexual Assault of Patients
• Money Laundering • Failure to Report Statutory Rape of Minors
• Consumer Fraud • Health and Safety Code Violations

Mark Crutcher2013

Crutcher points out that, “An issue that was recently brought into the public spotlight is the killing of children outside the womb who survive botched abortions. While many of us in the pro-life movement already knew that this has been going on for years, the general public was not made aware of it until May, 2013, when Pennsylvania abortionist, Kermit Gosnell, was sentenced to life in prison for committing this crime.”

Gosnell Perp Walk

Crutcher continues, “From the abortion industry’s standpoint, it may be that the most damaging outcome of this trial is not that Gosnell went to prison, but that his wife and several employees did as well. This creates trouble for the abortion industry given that (a) it is common for the authorities to get information about an employer’s illegal activity from disgruntled former employees and ex-spouses; and (b) the divorce rate within the abortion industry appears to be well above average and the employee turn-over rate is astronomical. Beyond that, we have also found that, even among those employees who remain on abortion clinic payrolls, the vast majority have an attitude toward their employers that ranges from distrust to loathing.

gosnell9_20110120163405_320_240

When prison sentences were handed down against Gosnell’s employees, it was easy to predict that one consequence would be a heightened concern among America’s abortion clinic workers regarding their own vulnerability to criminal charges.

“In the past, most of these people were intimidated into silence because they didn’t know the answers to two questions: “How would I go about telling what I know?” and the most important question of all, “Am I in trouble?” But at Life Dynamics, we know that these issues can be resolved. We also see evidence that clinic employees are starting to be less afraid to come forward.”

On the day after Gosnell was convicted, Life Dynamics released the first part of an interview they taped with three former employees of Houston abortionist, Douglas Karpen. In graphic detail, these women publicly revealed that the same things that were going on in Gosnell’s abortion clinic are going on in Karpen’s. Life Dynamics furnished the unedited footage of this interview to the Houston police resulting in a criminal investigation.

americanabortionclinic-dvd

In addition, Life Dynamics has since produced a DVD called An American Abortion Clinic that contains more of this chilling interview plus an interview we conducted with a recent patient of this same facility.

Crutcher, says, “Since the Gosnell trial many abortion employees are looking out there and saying, ‘You know what? I like my job, and I’m pro-choice and all that, but I’m not interested in going to prison. I’m not that committed.’ And they are starting to come out of the abortion industry. Well..Life Dynamics, Inc. is going to make it a little easier for them.”

To capitalize on this, Life Dynamics will be sending information to every abortion clinic in the country alerting employees about illegal activity that may be going on in their facility, what they can do about it, and what their own legal exposure might be.

clinicworker_packet

Recognizing that these efforts will not get through to every employee, Life Dynamics has also developed a kit to help sidewalk counselors increase the reach of the campaign. Included will be five picketing signs (posters) that we recommend pro-life sidewalk counselors attach to cardboard or foamcore for use at the clinics. Life Dynamics will also include a supply of ClinicWorker.com business cards.

Planned Parenthood doc yelled at patients, sexually harassed employees

Posted in Abortion and Sexual Assault, Abortionist, Planned Parenthood Employee, Planned Parenthood Employee Testifies against them with tags , , , , , , , , , on May 30, 2013 by saynsumthn

The Delaware Attorney General’s Office filed a complaint Thursday against former Planned Parenthood abortion doctor Timothy F. Liveright, citing him for unprofessional, incompetent and negligent conduct during his practice at the Wilmington clinic and calling him a “clear and immediate danger to the public.”

Contacted by phone Thursday evening, Liveright, 68, said such charges were “scandalous” for the state to make.

Liveright, who last month voluntarily surrendered his license to practice medicine in Delaware, performed abortions at the Planned Parenthood clinic on Shipley Street. He called the complaint “double jeopardy,” noting that similar complaints were investigated and dismissed last fall.

“It’s pure bullshit,” he said. “They’re jumping on whatever they can jump on. I don’t know what their agenda is, but I don’t think I’m a danger to the public.”

Clinic PP DE

According to the complaint, Liveright was reprimanded by Planned Parenthood of Delaware for “unprofessional, disrespectful, and inappropriate” conduct that included “yelling, screaming, and cursing” in front of employees and patients and sexual harassment of female employees.

The state also charged Liveright with incompetence and negligence related to abortions he performed on five patients from Feb. 12 to March 13 of this year.

Liveright has 20 days to respond to the complaint, according to James Collins, director of the Division of Professional Regulation. The Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline will hear the case or refer it to an administrative hearing officer for recommendation.

Collins said the board has several sanctions available, including license revocation, a fine, suspension, probation and reprimand.

Specifically, the complaint cited Liveright for:

• Oversedating patients

• Performing unnecessary suction procedures

• Failing to properly assess a patient’s airway, lungs and heart prior to administering sedation

• Failing to properly assess patients

• Failing to properly administer oxygen

• Failing to adequately document procedures and results of procedures in patient charts

• Failing to consider alternative treatments

• Causing at least one perforation during surgery

• Failing to properly supervise resident physicians during procedures

• Failing to act with due competence and diligence to avoid unnecessary complications, resulting in patients requiring emergency hospital treatment

Liveright said his attorney will go “full force ahead” in his response to the complaint.

“They’re beating the same drum,” he said. “It’s an echo. They feel they have to do something – but it’s already been done.”

The state started the investigation earlier this year when several emergencies arose after abortions Liveright performed at the Wilmington clinic. A small cadre of anti-abortion protesters witnessed the arrival of ambulances and raised questions. Two former Planned Parenthood nurses then came forward with complaints they had filed in 2012 against the doctor and clinic.

Liveright left the staff of Planned Parenthood in late March. In April, he sent a letter to the Division of Professional Regulation, saying he had “retired from practicing medicine in Delaware and [had] no intentions of ever seeking practice there in the future,” according to the complaint.

“He is still accountable for any actions that may have occurred while he was licensed here,” Collins said. “He is still subject to sanctions.”

Liveright has performed abortions in several states across the country, but several of those medical licenses are no longer in effect. He still is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. When asked if he was practicing there, Liveright said, “None of your business.”

PP Baltimore Jane Mitchel WDelaware Planned Parenthood staffer RN Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich, , who worked at Planned Parenthood Delaware’s Dover and Wilmington clinics for 3-1/2 months in 2012, spoke to Jill Stanek and revealed many troubling aspects of the abortion clinic she walked out of.

Jane claims she sent documentation and letters of complaint about the abortion clinic to Planned Parenthood who ignored them.

Other incidents, excerpted from a letter Jane wrote to her bosses (with slight grammatical editing):

“During a procedure that another doctor was performing, Dr. Liveright entered the room to see how things were proceeding. The doctors had a conversation regarding the faulty equipment in front of the patient…. After the doctors finished their conversation, Dr. Liveright struck the patient’s right lateral thigh with force with his opened hand, stating ‘BREATHE!’ The patient, shocked and puzzled, looked at me as if to say, ‘What is he doing?’ I suggested that Dr. Liveright must have some sort of unusual technique to help distract patients from the discomfort of the procedure. The patient looked at me, rolled her eyes, held my hand tight, and tried to relax and concentrate on her breathing. That is when Dr. Liveright peeks around the curtain (as he had not exited the room) and plays peek-a-boo with the patient. The patient then rolls her eyes and shakes her head stating, ‘He’s not right.’ The entire time this is happening, the other doctor is continuing to dilate the patient! I then stated, ‘Goodbye Dr. Liveright,’ as I pulled the curtain around his head….”

“Sexual harassment: I have noted Dr. Liveright inappropriately look up and down patients as well as staff members in a sexual kind of way. He actually stands back with a grin and slowly directs his eyes up and down a patient’s body.”

Jayne said management told her Liveright had previously been disciplined for sexual harassment against a staff member.

Jayne’s letter also described Liveright as a racist in a bizarre incident with an African-American patient:

Dr. Liveright enters the room… and states… ‘Did you know that the Belgians took over Africa and did really bad things?’…. He continues to carry this conversation on with himself while he roughly dilates and then belittles the patient…. (by the way, a patient that is crying and holding on to my hand tight, as I try to distract her from him)…. He states, ‘The United States does the same thing. Did you know that?’ The patient, with tears falling down her cheeks, shakes her head, indicating, ‘No,’ which Dr. Liveright replies, ‘I didn’t think you’d know anything about that. Yup, the United States is a big bully.’”

Jane is one of two former employees of Planned Parenthood Delaware – both registered nurses – have publicly called for investigations into the operation’s practices.

What I believe should happen is that Planned Parenthood should no longer be self-regulated,” said Joyce Vasikonis, a Dover nurse who also worked at the Wilmington site. Vasikonis was interim surgical services manager when she resigned last August.

Vasikonis describes herself as “radically pro-abortion,” but said she could not continue to work under the conditions she saw.

According to the Washington Post, the two nurses testified at a state Senate hearing about problems at the facility.

“He was a very small part of it,” nurse Joyce Vasikonis said Thursday about Liveright. “The biggest issue for me was sterility. The staff didn’t know how to maintain sterility from beginning to end.”

Vasikonis, who worked at the clinic from October 2011 to August 2012, said Liveright often failed to wear sterile gloves during abortions, but that she never saw any problems with the actual physical procedures themselves.

She also said she never saw Liveright yelling or cursing, but that she did witness an incident of sexual harassment. That incident involved Liveright teasing a young female intern about a cellphone photograph of a pierced penis that he and another male employee were looking at.

Planned Parenthood patients’ lives at risk say former medical employees of the abortion giant

Planned Parenthood of Delaware’s Wilmington clinic performed “meat-market style assembly line” abortions and put patients at risk for infection and other serious medical problems by neglecting proper standards of care, two former clinic nurses told a packed Senate hearing Wednesday.

PP NursesTestify

Meanwhile, state officials released a list of more than a dozen violations found – and subsequently addressed – during a recent investigation triggered by several emergencies at the Shipley Street clinic, in which patients were transported by ambulance to a hospital.

And the Division of Professional Regulation said it had found evidence of unspecified unprofessional conduct by Dr. Timothy Liveright, until recently the clinic’s primary physician, and that Liveright had voluntarily surrendered his license to practice medicine in the state.

Timothy Liverrite

“Dr. Timothy Liveright surrendered his license during our investigation of his practices at Planned Parenthood,” said James L. Collins, director of the division, which licenses and disciplines doctors.

“He is still subject to discipline for any acts that may have occurred while he held the license,” Collins added.

Liveright – who performed abortions when the testifying nurses worked at the clinic and during the recent emergencies – left his job there in late March, as did the medical services manager. Liveright’s license is listed as “null and void” as of April 24 on the state Division of Professional Regulation’s website.

Efforts to contact Liveright have been unsuccessful.

The registered nurses who spoke Wednesday resigned their positions last year, and have urged state officials to address problems they said have been ignored or denied for months.
“It was an absolute nightmare,” said Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich, who quit after only a few weeks on the job.

Mitchell-Werbrich and her former supervisor, Joyce Vaskonis, told lawmakers they are not opposed to abortion – they are opposed to unsafe medical practices.
“This is not about abortion,” Mitchell-Werbrich said. “”This is about patients. Their lives are at risk.”

Among the claims the nurses made Wednesday:

• Nurses sometimes hid patient charts from the physician to ensure sufficient time for medications to take effect before procedures were done.

• Inadequate staff training. Vasikonis said no procedure manuals were available for staff, and all staff were inadequately trained.

• Abnormal lab results (to include sexually transmitted diseases) were not reported or properly followed up on.

• Sterile procedures often were not followed and surgical suites and recovery rooms were inadequately cleaned between patients.

• Patient complications were not reported.

• RhoGAM – a necessary treatment for abortion patients who have RH-negative blood – often was missed, endangering that patient if she conceived in the future by a father with RH-positive blood.

• Some supplies were beyond expiration dates and some emergency equipment was no longer functional.

• Staff medical credentials were not verified.

• The physician once left medicated patients in the middle of an abortion waiting for hours while he tended to an issue with his private airplane.

Sen. Greg Lavelle, R-Sharpley, who convened the ad hoc hearing with Sen. Robert Venables, D-Laurel, said he was shocked to learn of “horrible patient care,” lack of response to the nurses’ concerns and inadequate state response to their complaints.

A review by the state Division of Public Health, the results of which were released Wednesday, found 14 kinds of violations at the clinic, including inadequate documentation of narcotics, supplies that had exceeded expiration dates, lax practices to ensure sterility, unlabeled bottles of fluid and overdue or uncertain maintenance records.

In a letter dated April 24 – the same day Liveright’s license to practice medicine in the state became null and void – Division Director Dr. Karyl Rattay said the clinic had 10 days to correct the violations, produce evidence that the problems had been addressed and present a plan to prevent those problems from reoccurring.

Planned Parenthood suspended all surgical abortions at its Delaware facilities last month. Last week, it resumed the procedures, Planned Parenthood CEO Ruth Lytle-Barnaby said.

In a letter of response to the state dated May 22, Lytle-Barnaby said policies had been modified, equipment replaced, expired supplies removed and personnel retrained, with more training to come.

Lytle-Barnaby said staff completed an inventory of all supplies and that inventory-control policies and procedures have been changed.

Planned Parenthood officials said they could not address specific allegations made by the former nurses because of privacy laws.

But in a prepared statement, Lytle-Barnaby said the nurses’ allegations are not substantiated by the state report.

“In recent days, the Delaware Division of Public Health has stated that they have concluded their recent survey of our health centers and that we have complied in areas that were noted in their last unannounced visit,” she said. “The findings of the recent survey were immediately rectified. While it is important to adhere to every medical regulation, the Division of Public Health findings do not in any way support the allegations of former employees who are now working with organizations whose mission is to oppose our services.”

Venables said he’s likely to refile legislation that would allow the state to more closely monitor abortion clinics operating in Delaware and establish criminal and civil penalties for violating the proposed law. The bill, which came with a $200,000 annual price tag, failed in a Democratic-controlled Senate committee in 2011. Venables said there has been “too much trust put in Planned Parenthood.”

“I’m not a person that believes in a lot of regulation,” Venables said. “In fact, I don’t like a lot of regulation. But in this case it’s well-needed because it’s proof positive that they don’t regulate themselves.”

Venables said the state provided about $400,000 in funding to Planned Parenthood last year – an allocation lawmakers might want to reconsider in the future.

Recent legislation empowered the Division of Public Health to set standards and enforce safe and sanitary conditions, and Department of Health and Social Services spokeswoman Jill Fredel said the division now has the authority to survey facilities when a patient complains or an “adverse event” occurs. The department also has authority to require accreditation of medical facilities, similar to the accreditation required of Delaware hospitals.

A draft of new regulations for all facilities providing any level of anesthesia and performing invasive procedures is pending but not yet in force.

Planned Parenthood of Delaware has been accredited by the Planned Parenthood Foundation, which both nurses said was too cozy an arrangement.

“My experience has been Planned Parenthood of Delaware feels they are above question or scrutiny as to whether they actually provide adequate care or follow the law,” Vasikonis said.

Ellen Barrosse, national committeewoman for the Delaware Republican Party who founded the anti-abortion campaign known as “A Rose And A Prayer,” was in the audience Wednesday. No one should decide what to do next, she said, until they hear more voices.

“I’d like to see another hearing where we hear from women who received abortions and were abused,” she said. “Until more women come forward and tell their stories, nobody should decide what happens next. There should be an open conversation – as a community.”

Planned Parenthood clinic in Wilmington has temporarily closed its doors in the wake of allegations of “unsafe and unsanitary” conditions made by former nurses at the clinic…

In correspondence between the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Planned Parenthood, the state organization cited the clinic with two violations in February. According to the notification, “Health care employees performing tasks such as assisting with medical procedures and handling specimens were not trained in accordance with this item.” The other citation reads, “Employees were exposed to contaminated needles following the administration of multiple employee PPD Tests with standard, non-engineered tuberculin syringes.”

Mitchell-Werbrich, a veteran nurse, said she had never experienced working conditions like those at clinic before and reported the issues to Planned Parenthood. She said she contacted the Planned Parenthood president and CEO, as well as the vice president of medical services for the organization, but neither took action against the doctors or the staff.

“I had told anyone who would listen that it was unsafe and about some of the numerous unsafe things that were going on,” Mitchell-Werbrich said. “They said to me that they were working on it, but there was no change.”

At least two former employees of Planned Parenthood Delaware – both registered nurses – have publicly called for investigations into the operation’s practices.

“I feel like a woman has a right to abortion for whatever reason she chooses,” she said. “But she should know all of her options and understand what she is consenting to and she should have a safe procedure. That was not what was happening there. It got to the point where I could not stand it another day. I said, ‘I am going to lose my license if I stay here.’ ”

Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich of Newark could not bear the conditions, either. She worked part time for about three months, kept copious notes, pressed for reforms and resigned last August.

“I cannot continue to work in such an unsafe, unhealthy and hostile environment,” she wrote in her resignation email.

Past records indicate the medical director for Planned Parenthood is Eric Schaff:

Another former employee, Joyce Vasikonis told Action News, “They were using instruments on patients that were not sterile.” The former nurses claim that a rush to get patients in and out left operating tables soiled and unclean.

Werbrich said “It’s not washed down, it’s not even cleaned off. It has bloody drainage on it.”

“They could be at risk of getting hepatitis, even AIDS,” added Vasikonis. Both of these nurses said, they quit to protect their own medical licenses, stunned by what they called a meat-market style of assembly-line abortions.

Vasikonis said, “I felt I could be held liable if a patient was harmed.”

Planned Parenthood needs to close its doors, it’s needs to be cleaned up, the staff needs to be trained, said Werbrich.”

According to the news station, Since January 4th, five patients allegedly have been rushed from the facility to the emergency room, again placing the clinic in the spotlight.

Action News has learned during our investigation that one doctor and two more nurses at the clinic have mysteriously left.

Did Planned Parenthood CEO lie about Gosnell?

DaylesteinbergDayle Steinberg is CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Steinberg began her association with Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania (PPSP) in 1978 as a graduate intern, joined the full-time staff in 1981, served as director of surgical services from 1986-1992, then served for eight years as senior vice president, and was appointed president and CEO in 2001.

In February of 2010 WHYY reported that Steinberg denied knowing of any of the horrific conditions at Gosnells’ abortion clinic. They wrote:

Steinberg: We do anticipate that women who might have scheduled appointments for abortion procedures at the Women’s Medical Society will be calling Planned Parenthood.

and then reported, “Steinberg says she knows that Gosnell has provided abortions in Philadelphia for many years, but says she hadn’t heard of any problems at clinic until the allegations surfaced in recent days.”

But later, according to Philly.com : Steinberg said this about Gosnell at a public fundraiser:

“Steinberg said that when Gosnell was in practice, women would sometimes come to Planned Parenthood for services after first visiting Gosnell’s West Philadelphia clinic, and would complain to staff about the conditions there.

“’We would always encourage them to report it to the Department of Health,’ Steinberg said as she sat with Steinem before Tuesday’s events.”

Why would Steinberg lie? Perhaps because abortion deaths and shoddy abortion clinics and botched procedures, are not so UNCOMMON even in Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood supporter appoints Med Chief whose office performs autopsy on black woman after abortion death

A 24 year-old black women is left to bleed to death on the table of Planned Parenthood after an abortion. That was in July of 2012. What is interesting is that the Cook County Medical Examiners Office, which declared the death an “accident” has a link to Planned Parenthood. Read on….

tonya-reaves-0722The Chicago Sun Times is reporting, The father of a young child whose mother died after a July 2012 abortion filed a wrongful death lawsuit Thursday against Planned Parenthood of Illinois and Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Tonya Reaves, 24, died July 20, 2012, at Northwestern Hospital after she began hemorrhaging at a Planned Parenthood clinic at 18 S. Michigan Ave., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. Reaves’ mother filed a lawsuit against Planned Parenthood in August of 2012.

An autopsy found she died of a hemorrhage following a cervical dilation and evacuation performed during an intrauterine pregnancy, according to the medical examiner’s office. Her death was ruled an accident.

The lawsuit, filed in Cook County Circuit Court, claims the clinic “improperly performed” the procedure and failed to properly care for her complications resulting in her death at the hospital.

It is the second wrongful death suit filed on behalf of Reaves’ estate. Reaves’ mother, Dorsey Johns, filed a suit in Cook County Circuit Court in August 2012.

TonyaReaves

Documents, including her autopsy report and other records show that Reaves received an incomplete Dilation and Evacuation abortion procedure at Planned Parenthood that was followed by uncontrolled bleeding. Planned Parenthood staff allowed Reaves to hemorrhage for 5½ hours before seeking emergency care. Records show that Planned Parenthood did not call 911 for an ambulance, which was the quickest way to get help for her.

The autopsy listed the manner of death as “Accident,” which would include an avoidable death from negligence and malpractice.

Operation Rescue has filed a complaint with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation seeking a full investigation and has been interviewed by a state investigator in relation to that complaint. OR has joined with other pro-life groups in calling on Cook County Illinois State’s Attorney, Anita Alvarez, to launch an investigation into the death of Tonya Reaves under the state’s “depraved indifference murder” statutes.

What is interesting is that Reaves’ death was ruled an accident by the same Medical Examiners Office whose chief was appointed by what appears to be an avid pro-abortion Planned Parenthood supporter. The family wants answers and only receives silence. A look into this issue further exposes some interesting facts.

Medical Examiner Hid Info Showing Planned Parenthood Killed Patient

tonyareaves5autopsy

Operation Rescue, who requested a copy of the autopsy on Ms. Reaves, indicates that it was not provided the complete autopsy report — indicating six pages were omitted that place the blame squarely on Planned Parenthood’s shoulders. The copy the pro-life group received from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office was missing the six important pages that further detailed Reaves fatal abortion injuries and noted that Planned Parenthood was where her abortion took place.

The sanitized copy sent to Operation Rescue contained no mention of Planned Parenthood. The omission was discovered when attorneys for the Thomas More Society, a pro-life legal group that also had filed an open records request for the report, compared notes with Operation Rescue.

According to Operation Rescue President, Troy Newman, one missing page titled “First Call Sheet”, there appears to be redacted information on the first line under “Medical History” where the circumstances surrounding Reaves death are explained. After the redaction, there is the following notation: “1100. Planned Parenthood. Suction D&E. Post Op bleed.”

The missing pages note that Reaves was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital via a Chicago Fire Department ambulance at 4:30 p.m., five and a half hours after her botched second trimester abortion left her hemorrhaging. However, there is no record that an emergency 911 call was placed by Planned Parenthood.

Also included is an anatomical diagram indicating a large abdominal incision made during an emergency hysterectomy performed by a hospital surgeon in a vain effort to save Reaves’ life as well as marks on her chest consistent with the application of defibrillator paddles. The records show that despite these efforts, Reaves could not be resuscitated.

The Planned Parenthood abortion business, which waited five hours before sending a woman who died from a botched legal abortion to the hospital, never called 911.

Documents obtained via the Freedom of Information Act show that only one call to 911 was made on Friday, July 20 from the building located at 18 S. Michigan, which houses Planned Parenthood.

In addition to the death of Tonya Reaves, the Planned Parenthood of Illinois was caught with their hands in the tax payers cookie jar:

According to CRAINES, in September of 2012, Planned Parenthood of Illinois agreed to pay the state $367,000 to settle a dispute over alleged overbilling of the Medicaid program by the non-profit’s medical director.

Dr. Caroline Hoke, an obstetrician-gynecologist and the organization’s medical director since 2007, had been under threat of termination from the state Medicaid program since 2010, when the inspector general of the Department of Healthcare and Family Services sought to recover allegedly improper payments.

Dr. Hoke was the fourth-highest billing physician in the state Medicaid program in 2009-11, receiving $3.9 million, despite not receiving any payment for much of 2010 and all of 2011, according to a Crain’s analysis of Medicaid reimbursement records.

The settlement comes about a week after the mother of a Planned Parenthood patient filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the organization, alleging that negligence during an abortion contributed to her daughter’s death.

In the Medicaid case, the agency alleged that Dr. Hoke overbilled the state an estimated $430,380.02, mostly for services that were not documented, according to records in a DHFS administrative proceeding against Dr. Hoke.

The inspector general contested Dr. Hoke’s billings between 2006 and 2007, when she worked at Planned Parenthood of Illinois locations and at Erie Family Health Center. The West Side clinic separately agreed to pay the state $20,000 to settle its portion of the dispute.

With the settlement, neither Planned Parenthood of Illinois nor Erie admits any wrongdoing or responsibility for the overbilling.

Delaware investigates conduct of staff at Planned Parenthood
State investigating Planned Parenthood April 17 ,2013

The state Division of Professional Regulation has launched a new investigation into the conduct of several licensed medical professionals at Planned Parenthood of Delaware, the agency’s director confirmed Tuesday. It is the most recent of several inquiries into practices at the state’s largest abortion provider.

Planned Parenthood officials say they have made recent personnel changes and “do not tolerate employees who fail to meet our standards.”

They say they welcome the review.

“In the last several days several state health agencies have conducted inspections,” Planned Parenthood Delaware CEO Ruth Lytle-Barnaby said in a written statement Tuesday evening. “PPDE is committed to high quality healthcare, we welcome oversight in the interest of ensuring safety and wellness, and we take swift action when any of our operations do not meet the highest standards.”

Surgical abortions have been halted for now at the Wilmington and Dover offices, Lytle-Barnaby said, but outpatient medical abortions continue at both sites. Training for new staff is under way, she said.

Investigators were unable to substantiate complaints made against Planned Parenthood last fall, according to James Collins, director of the Division of Professional Regulation, but more recent complaints from several sources triggered the new inquiry.

In addition to the regulatory review, Planned Parenthood is under investigation by the state Division of Public Health, according to Jill Fredel, spokeswoman for the Department of Health and Social Services. That process will include an examination of equipment, medications, cleanliness, whether materials used were past their expiration date and related conditions.

Last month, Planned Parenthood paid a $3,060 fine – reduced from $5,100 – in an informal settlement with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for two violations related to blood-borne pathogens. One violation was related to employee training, another – considered serious – was related to employee exposure to contaminated needles.

In a post on the provider’s website, Lytle-Barnaby said she and her staff had conducted a review of patient services and had called on medical experts from the national office to advise them, too.

“I determined that we need to take immediate steps to assure our patients of our high-quality care, including enacting immediate personnel changes,” Lytle-Barnaby wrote. “We do not tolerate employees that fail to meet our standards for patient care and services. … Any employee who does not live up to our standards of patient care will be terminated.”
Amelia Auner, spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood Delaware, confirmed Tuesday that Dr. Timothy Liveright, who performed abortions in Wilmington, and Gloria Johnson, who was vice president of medical services, no longer are employed by the organization. It was not clear if their departures were related to the recent investigations. Efforts to reach Liveright and Johnson on Tuesday were unsuccessful.

Baltimore Wilmington PP

At least two former employees of Planned Parenthood Delaware – both registered nurses – have publicly called for investigations into the operation’s practices.

Abortion protesters who picketed the Wilmington facility said last month they assisted a patient there after a botched abortion that forced her to seek emergency hospital treatment.

That patient has retained Colorado-based attorney Michael Norton, senior counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom, which promotes religious liberty and First Amendment protections.

“We try to make sure abortion providers are held to the same standard as regular medical practices are,” Norton said.

Planned Parenthood of Baltimore in Wilmington has announced that abortion procedures are on hold and a local news station has announced that the tax funded clinic is under investigation by the state after two staffers say the clinic was not sterile and unsafe. The story broke last night. At least five Planned Parenthood patients have been rushed to the ER. In addition, one doctor and two nurses have “mysteriously left” as well, according to reports.

According to the Planned Parenthood website, surgical abortions will be referred to “another provider” but chemical abortions will still be provided:

Werbrich alleges conditions inside the facility were unsanitary. “He didn’t wear gloves,” said Werbrich.

Who is HE?? We do not know for sure but According to the most recent reports :

Past records indicate the medical director for Planned Parenthood is Eric Schaff:

In 1997, Dr. Schaff was trained by Planned Parenthood of New York City in surgical abortion. “I felt inadequate because I had to rely on other physicians for medication abortion complications. Since I learned these surgical skills, I feel empowered as a clinician because I can provide complete reproductive healthcare.”

Apparently- this Planned Parenthood cannot find experienced abortionists, they have to request medical students !!

Pro-lifers have documented several of those incidents:

Planned Parenthood Delaware2013In February of 2013, a woman was taken by stretcher out the back of Planned Parenthood in Wilmington to a local emergency medical center following a botched abortion. She was loaded into a St. Francis Hospital ambulance, according to Rae Stabosz of Newark, Delaware…It was the third such event witnessed by pro-lifers in a two-year period.

Operation Rescue has published newly obtained 911 recordings of two medical emergencies at Planned Parenthood in Wilmington, Delaware, which took place on February 8, and 16, 2013.

In both cases, patients were transported to a local hospital with abortion complications that could not be managed by abortionists and nurses who attended the women at the clinic.

The 911 recordings were obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests made by a participant in a local 40 Days for Life campaign with the assistance of Operation Rescue. While prayer vigil participants were present for the incident on the 16th, they were unaware that another medical emergency had taken place at that same Planned Parenthood abortion clinic just 8 days earlier until they received the open records files.

“The 911 recordings are important because they expose the inconvenient truth that abortion isn’t as safe as the abortion cartel would have you believe,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue and Pro-Life Nation. “Women are maimed and killed by shoddy abortionists on a regular basis, but it is covered up by the clinics, the abortion lobby, and the media. Public records tear way the curtains of secrecy that enables abortionists to abuse women. This helps us warn the public and hold abortionists accountable for their actions.”

Patient 1 –February 8, 2013

February 8, 2013, Planned Parenthood called 911 at 1:30 p.m. to ask for assistance for a patient that was unconscious and struggling to breathe. Despite the presence of two physicians and three nurses, her condition still required emergency assistance from paramedics.

The caller indicated that they were using an emergency non rebreather on the patient, which is a mask with a flat bag that used in emergency situations to provide oxygen to the patient.

However, the non rebreather seemed inadequate, because the caller told the dispatcher that they were “getting ready to bag” the patient. “Bagging” a patient is done with a hand-held device used to provide positive pressure ventilation to a patient who is not breathing or who is breathing inadequately. It is an emergency resuscitative measure.

Paramedics and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene. The outcome of this patient’s medical emergency is unknown.

Patient 2 – February 16, 2013

A second medical emergency at Planned Parenthood in Wilmington, which was witnessed by pro-life activists, took place on February 16. Video was taken by Rae Stabosz during a 40 Days for Life prayer vigil that shows a woman on a gurney with a possible IV bag containing plasma or other blood products.

The partially-redacted 911 recording confirmed that the patient suffered heavy bleeding. The Planned Parenthood employee that placed the call opted for response by paramedics instead of a simple ambulance transfer, indicating that the patient needed emergency care.

She was rushed to St. Francis Hospital for emergency treatment.

These incidents comprise the third and fourth medical emergencies observed or documented by prayer vigil participants at Planned Parenthood in Wilmington over a two-year period.

“We wonder – how often does it happen when we are not there?” asked Stabosz.

According to Operation Rescue, A 63-year old Catholic grandmother of 12 was violently attacked outside this Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Wilmington, Delaware, as she filmed the fourth abortion injury there in less than five weeks.

According to reports, Rae Stabosz had been praying outside the Planned Parenthood clinic when a woman and her mother came to the clinic. Rae learned that the woman was suffering complications to an abortion she received on March 8. Rae persuaded them to go to St. Francis hospital where it was discovered that aborted baby body parts, including a leg and foot, had been left behind by the abortionist. The woman required additional surgery and was referred to legal counsel.

Rae left Planned Parenthood to attend mass, and when she returned to the Planned Parenthood, she was shocked to see that yet another medical emergency was in progress. As she was filming the incident with her cell phone, a young woman came out of the Planned Parenthood clinic and violently attacked Rae, knocking her down and taking away her phone.

The attacker took Rae’s phone inside the clinic and gave it to a Planned Parenthood worker. Rae immediately ran into the clinic, retrieved her phone, then returned to the street where she continued to film the gurney with the injured patient, covered head to toe in blankets and sheets, being loaded into the ambulance.

The police soon arrived and Rae made a police report, but the attacker has fled the scene. At this writing, she remained at large.

Rae began to feel the effects of the attack, and another ambulance was summoned to transport her to the same hospital where the two Planned Parenthood patients were receiving treatment. Rae was treated and released with minor injuries.

Action News has learned during our investigation that one doctor and two more nurses at the clinic have mysteriously left.
