Within months of taking office, President Barack Obama created the White House Council on Women and Girls. According to the administration, the council was created, “with the explicit mandate to ensure that every agency, department, and office in our federal government with the policies they draft, the programs they create, and the legislation they support takes into account the needs and aspirations of American women and girls.”

In 2010, Tina Tchen became Michele Obama’s chief of staff replacing Susan Sher. According to Life News, Tchen previously served as the vice president of the National Organization for Women, a prominent pro-abortion organization.

But Tchen was not the only member of the pro-abortion National Organization for Women ( NOW) that has joined the Obama administration.

Latifa Lyles is the Director of the Women’s Bureau at the Department of Labor. Lyles previously served as Vice President for Membership of the National Organization for Women (NOW).

In a report published by the administration they brag that barring the defunding of abortion giant Planned Parenthood was one of the many ways they carried out their mandate to help women. Under the section, Protect Women’s Access to Reproductive Health Services, the report states, “Women typically use contraception for 30 years of their lives, and the average cost of contraception is $30 to $50 per month. Under the Affordable Care Act’s preventive services coverage provision, insurance companies are now required to cover contraception at no extra cost. In addition, President Obama has consistently supported and defended Title X family planning clinics, proposing funding increases for these clinics in each year of his Administration. For many women, a family planning clinic is their entry point into the health care system and is their primary source of care. This is especially true for low-income women, women who are uninsured, and for Hispanic and African American women. These services are highly cost-effective, saving $4 for every $1 spent. And in April 2011, President Obama refused to allow language barring Title X funding to Planned Parenthood to be included in the federal budget.”

We already know the cozy relationship Valerie Jarrett has to Planned Parenthood (see here)

In 2009, executive director of the council, Tina Tchen, who was also the director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, welcomed over 400 Planned Parenthood staff and supporters in the opening session of the Planned Parenthood 2009 Organizing and Policy Summit.

President Obama strongly supports abortion organizations like Planned Parenthood addressing them in person several times.
