Website Consolidates Pro-life News Headlines; Celebrates 1st Year

One year ago this month, the Harms Report, a unique website which consolidates pro-life news headlines, was launched. The site was modeled after the Drudge Report and it is operated by a long time pro-life activist little known to many in the movement. His name is Monte Harms.

Harms Report abortion prolife 2

Over the years, there has been an evolution in the way that pro-lifers received their information. In years past, the pro-life movement had to rely on the major media outlets and a handful of pro-life newsletters or magazines to educate not only the public but their own people. The news moved slowly and took days or weeks to make the rounds. But today, things are much different. Now, the pro-life movement not only publishes their own news stories but they often lead in developing national trends on news. Such was the case recently with the undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s baby harvesting operation. Had it not been for the constant drum beat of pro-life news outlets, the public would have been largely kept in the dark about the tax funded abortion giant’s activities.

The evolution of pro-life news has taken several turns over the past few years incorporating everything from blog articles, news reports, investigative series, opinion editorials and humor. Enter the Harms Report where top selections from many of the most popular news outlets are assembled in one place. Harms’ collection of provocative pro-life headlines has become a regular for consumers of news.

Harms Report Planned Parenthood

Modeled after the Drudge Report, the Harms Report actually began under the name Stanek Report. It’s original creator was blogger Jill Stanek who thought up the unique concept in November of 2014. But,within months of its creation, Stanek was accepting a position with the Susan B Anthony List requiring her to pass her newest online vision to Monte Harms one of her more dedicated contributors. Under his guidance, the site took a new name and is now entitled the Harms Report. The site which posts a number of pro-life news headlines is not in competition to other news outlets rather it has become a stop for busy pro-life activists who want a general view of the pro-life news of the day.

Harms takes his role as editor of the Harms Report very seriously, working day and night to keep the site as current as possible. He said taking on the news site is just one more step in his commitment to end abortion. For years, Harms was active in volunteering for groups like Justice for All and Protest ABQ. On occasion, Harms can be seen on sidewalks in front of abortion clinics standing up for the preborn. But, Harms told Live Action News, just like many others, his pro-life activism was starting to burn him out. It was at this point that Stanek approached Harms with the idea of taking over.

“After I retired in 2014, God put me in the perfect position to utilize my strengths of being passionately pro-life and having a love of research. On top of that, Harms Report essentially needs somebody that can work on it during the day, which I am able to do,”
Harms said.

monteharms

Harms has reflected on what led him to a conviction about abortion. He said that for most of his adult life, he did not have any personal experience with anyone who had an abortion. And sadly, Harms recalled that he never even heard abortion mentioned in various churches he attended. Harms called his transformation into the pro-life movement as “pretty boring” he simply came to the conclusion that “Abortion Is Wrong. Period.”

As the Harms Report celebrates its one year anniversary, Monte Harms told Live Action News that the site came into existence at an opportune time in the history of the pro-life movement. He pointed to the elections, the passage of many important pro-life laws, the late-term abortion ban legislation in Congress and other states as well as the gruesome undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s aborted baby harvesting operation. Websites like Live Action News and the Harms Report and others all play their part in telling the truth about the plight of the preborn. As society trends more pro-life these news tools will become even more instrumental in educating the public about the dignity of every human life, as we all do out part in exposing abortion. Yesterday abortion giant Planned Parenthood’s website went down.

The organization that harvests baby parts is blaming the website crash on “extremists” however they have not named any groups or persons.

Planned Parenthood has been highly criticized after the group The Center for Medical Progress released several under cover videos showing their top doctors haggling over the price of baby organs harvested after abortions.

A recent video uploaded by CMP showed inside a Planned Parenthood Path Lab.

The video showed behind the scenes of the abortion clinic including graphic images of the babies being dissected by tweezers.

Texas Attorney General has reported that when investigators went into a Planned Parenthood in the state to investigate charges they are illegally selling the baby organs, they witnessed fingers and toes in what the abortion business calls their “POC room.

Pro-life groups expose abortion deaths using posters, websites and billboards

An Ohio pro-life group has created posters of women who were recently killed from legal abortion.

The groups, Created Equal and Love of Truth Ministries has traveled to various locations to expose the truth that abortion is not safe for women.

Years ago, the national pro-life organization, Life Dynamics, broke ground by being the first to publish autopsy images of a woman killed by legal abortion. The images were given to Life Dynamics from the girl’s mother who wanted her story told as a warning to other women.

Marla CardDoubleMotgueTable

The Life Dynamics’ website – details the story of 18 year-old Marla Cardamone and her unborn child, both victims of legal abortion.

As the website explains, a medical counselor told the 18 year-old pregnant woman that the prescription medication she had been taking would cause her baby to be born with severe birth defects.

This counselor then began to push Marla to have an abortion. When she refused, the pressure was increased until it became more than she could resist.
At that point, an abortionist was brought in to kill her baby.

While he was at it, he also killed Marla.

Created Equal and Love of Truth Ministries has now published those images on a poster:

In addition to Marla, the group has created posters for Lakisha Wilson, Tonya Reaves, Karmanaya Mongar, Jennifer Morbelli.

Jennifer Morbelli

Jennifer Morbelli, 29, a kindergarten teacher from White Plains, New York had been expecting a daughter, Madison Leigh. Jennifer learned her daughter suffered from fetal anomalies, and according to reports, she traveled to Leroy Carhart’s late-term Germantown Reproductive Health Services abortion clinic in Germantown, Maryland. Sidewalk counselors at the clinic believe that Carhart began the fatal abortion process on Sunday, February 3. Jennifer was approx 33 weeks pregnant at the time. Witnesses in front of the abortion clinic, say they saw Jennifer return to the clinic over the next few days, but on Wednesday, they say she remained there for approx. 9 hours. Later that day, Carhart left the clinic, presumably to commit abortions in another state. At approximately 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 7, Jennifer presented at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, Maryland. Family members told hospital personnel they had tried to reach Carhart several times, but he did not return their calls. Pro-lifer Jill Stanek reports that at approximately 9:00 a.m. Jennifer coded. She coded a total of six times before she was pronounced dead at about 10:00 a.m. It was during this time Carhart called the hospital but never showed up. Jennifer and her daughter were buried Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Carhart was also involved in the death of 19 year old Christin A. Gilbert.

Karmanaya Mongar

Karnamaya Mongar 54595105518_548576735226104803_n

41 year-old Karnamaya Mongar was a refugee who had recently come to the United States from a resettlement camp in Nepal, when she arrived at the Women’s Medical Society abortion clinic. The West Philadelphia clinic, referred to as a “house of horrors”, was owned by abortionist Kermit Gosnell. According to a report for the grand jury filed by the state’s district attorney, office workers had Mrs. Mongar sign various forms which she could not read, and then began doping her up. She received repeated unmonitored, unrecorded intravenous injections of Demerol. After several hours, Mrs. Mongar stopped breathing. When employees finally noticed, Gosnell was called in and briefly attempted to give CPR. He couldn’t use the defibrillator (it was broken); nor did he administer emergency medications that might have restarted her heart. After further crucial delay, paramedics arrived, but Mrs. Mongar was probably brain dead before they were even called. In the meantime, the clinic staff hooked up machinery and rearranged her body to make it look like they had been in the midst of a routine, abortion procedure. Even then, there might have been some slim hope of reviving Mrs. Mongar. The paramedics were able to generate a weak pulse. But, because of the cluttered hallways and the padlocked emergency door, it took them over twenty minutes just to find a way to get her out of the building. Doctors at the hospital managed to keep her heart beating, but they never knew what they were trying to treat, because Gosnell and his staff lied about how much anesthesia they had given, and who had given it. By that point, there was no way to restore any neurological activity. As a result of the cardiac arrest, she had stopped breathing and suffered acute anoxic encephalopathy – brain damage due to a lack of oxygen. Mrs. Mongar remained on life support until family members could make the trip from Virginia to say good-bye. She was pronounced dead at 6:15 p.m. on November 20, 2009. The medical examiner concluded that the acute anoxic encephalopathy resulted from the cardiac arrest, which itself had been caused “because somebody gave her a Demerol overdose.” Gosnell was later arrested and charged with homicide in her death as well as the deaths of 7 babies he allegedly killed with scissors after they were born. Clinic worker, Sherry West, 52, has pleaded guilty to the charge, for her role in administering at least some of the fatal dose of Demerol.

Tonya Reaves

When 24-year-old Tonya Reaves climbed onto a table at a Planned Parenthood facility in Chicago for a “safe and legal” abortion she never knew she would be closing her eyes for the final time. What is now known is that the Planned Parenthood abortionist ripped a hole in Ms. Reaves’ uterus and she began to hemorrhage. It is also known that the Planned Parenthood staff let Tonya lie there for over five hours before they sought emergency care for her. Of course, by then it was too late. She had lost approximately 30 percent of her body’s total blood volume, before she died. Her family successfully sued Planned Parenthood for her wrongful death.

Lakisha Wilson

Lakish Wilson 8846_450713531525543038_n

Wilson was given an abortion at the Preterm abortion facility in Cleveland, Ohio, on Friday, March 21, 2014. At 10:59 am that morning, a 911 call was placed and Wilson was later transported to University Hospital Case Medical Center where she was placed on life support. She was pronounced dead on March 28.

In addition, another organization, Protecting Black Life has launched a campaign to inform Black Americans in Greater Cincinnati, as well as the community at-large, that an ever-increasing number of young women-of-color are ending up dead, following so-called safe abortions.

In 2015, Created Equal came out with a new version which can be viewed here.

They are placing billboards of Black women killed by legal abortion in African American communities.

Student: Planned Parenthood / Left-wing sites available Pro-life / Conservative sites blocked

Posted in Censorship with tags , , , , , , on June 25, 2014 by saynsumthn

According to this news report Planned Parenthood and other left-wing political websites were accessible at a school website but conservative – pro-life and Christian websites were blocked !

Andrew Lampart says that he was researching gun control in May for his studies at Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury, but was unable to view the National Rifle Association’s website from a school computer, he told FoxCt.com.

According to Fox News, Lampart claims the issue went even further down the political divide, to issues including abortion and religion. He told the station he had full access to Planned Parenthood’s website, but could not access pro-life groups’ websites. He was also blocked from Christianity.com and the Vatican’s website, but not Islam-guide.com, he said.

The Woodbury school district issued a statement Thursday, saying that it pressed Dell SonicWall, its filtering provider, as to why the liberal websites fell into a “not rated” category and the conservative sites fell into “political/advocacy group” category, barring them from school computers.

“The district is trying to determine the reason for the inconsistency and if the bias is pervasive enough to justify switching to another content filtering provider,” the statement read. “The district does not block individual sites, only categories of websites. The categories are supposed to be inclusive of all sites that fall into a common description. The district does engage in unblocking sites to provide diverse points of view and balance in the instructional process.”

SonicWallSecurity

According to their website, The Dell SonicWALL Content Filtering Service allows administrators to block any site that has not been rated by providing a category called “Not Rated”. It is important to note that Not Rated means that we have not yet had the opportunity to rate the URL. It does not mean that we have reviewed the site and decided to rate it “Not Rated”. Many organizations block the “Not Rated” category since millions of new URLs are introduced monthly and will not make it into the rating queue until there is sufficient traffic or an end user submits the site for rating. Not Rated should be blocked since millions of new malware sites appear monthly.

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) –

Chicago Teen Pregnancy Billboards 2013

A new billboard aimed at preventing teen pregnancies is causing a bit of controversy.

The Chicago Department of Public Health is using billboards showing pregnant teen boys in their 2013 campaign to prevent teenage pregnancies.

BeyouBeHapyChicago

According to a public health department spokesperson, they want to impress upon the young public that teen pregnancy is not just the girl’s responsibility.

The ad campaign is being rolled out this week in the city and suburbs, on transit buses, trains and billboards. They are placed close to local high schools where the teen pregnancy rate has recently increased.

Good Day Chicago took to the streets to see if these spreads, intended to spark conversation, will get the message across. The reaction was mostly positive on Michigan Avenue Wednesday morning.

Pentagon Blocks Access to Southern Baptist Website

Pentagon Blocks Access to Southern Baptist Website

Apr 24, 2013
By Todd Starnes
The U.S. Military has blocked access to the Southern Baptist Convention’s website on an unknown number of military bases because it contains “hostile content” — just weeks after an Army briefing labeled Evangelical Christians and Roman Catholics as examples of religious extremism, Fox News has learned.

The Southern Baptist Convention is the nation’s largest Protestant denomination known for its support of the pro-life movement and its strong belief in traditional marriage.
Southern Baptist chaplains reported that SBC.net had been blocked at military installations around the nation. The censorship was made public after an Army officer tried to log onto the denomination’s website and instead — received a warning message.

“The site you have requested has been blocked by Team CONUS (C-TNOSC/RCERT-CONUS) due to hostile content,” the message read.

Team CONUS protects the computer network of the Dept. of Defense. The SBC’s website was not blocked at the Pentagon.

It’s unclear what the “hostile content” might have been. The SBC is pro-life and opposed to same-sex marriage.

“So the Southern Baptist Convention is now considered hostile to the U.S. Army,” the officer wrote in an email to the American Family Association.
Sing Oldham, spokesman for the SBC, told Fox News he had been in touch with the Dept. of Defense and had serious concerns.

“This is deeply disturbing,” he told Fox News. “While the Deputy Chief of Operation of the US Army has assured us this is a random event with no malicious intent, the Army must run this to the ground to assure that this is the case.”

However, Fox News has received reports from across the country of Southern Baptist chaplains unable to access the website.

“If the government blocked any portion of the SBC.net Web site for any purpose, that would be an unconscionable breach of trust with the American public,” Oldham said. “The First Amendment exists to protect the church from governmental censorship of or infringement upon religious speech and the free exercise of religion.”

The Dept. of Defense confirmed to Fox News late Wednesday that the SBC website had been blocked — but not intentionally.

“The Department of Defense is not intentionally blocking access to this site, said Lt. Col. Damien Pickart. “We are working diligently to investigate what might be causing access issues for some of our service members and to correct the situation as quickly as possible.”

The AFA sent out an action alert urging its members to contact the Pentagon and ask them to “stop the military’s alarming trend of hostility towards faith and religious freedom in our military.”

“Most disturbing to him (the Army officer) was the fact that the military labeled his personal religious faith as ‘hostile’ to the U.S. Army,” AFA spokesman Randy Sharp told Fox News.

Ron Crews, executive director of the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty, told Fox News that Southern Baptist chaplains on military bases around the nation have been unable to access the website.

“It’s a concern for the Dept. of Defense to block the website of one of the major evangelical denominations in the country,” Crews told Fox News. “The Southern Baptist Convention has the largest number of chaplains in the military representing Southern Baptist soldiers and churches. Those chaplains need access to their denomination’s website.”
An Army Reservist contacted Fox News and said he tried to log onto the site and an “Access Denied” message appeared on the screen.

“You request was categorized by Blue Coat Web Filter as ‘Religion,’” the message read.

Richard Land, president of the SBC’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission denounced the censorship and demanded that Southern Baptist soldiers be provided access to the site.
“This is outrageous,” Land told Fox News. “Southern Baptists make up a higher percentage of the all-volunteer military than in the general population. It’s outrageous that our website would be blocked for Southern Baptists serving in the military and defending the freedom to access websites.”

Land said the military censorship was part of a “disturbing trend.”

“They need to unblock the website and find out who is responsible,” he said. “That person needs to be fired.”

Pickart told Fox News the Dept. of Defense “strongly supports the rights of service members, to include their ability to access religious websites like that of the SBC.”
“With Internet technology constantly evolving, the Department is working to ensure that service members have access to an open Internet while preserving information and operational security,” he said.

Religious liberty groups were outraged by the block and called for an immediate investigation.

“This is another example of the growing hostility toward evangelical Christians in the armed forces,” Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jerry Boykin, executive vice president of the Family Research Council told Fox News. “Ironically, the very people who are sworn to support and defend the rights provided in the U.S. Constitution are being denied the right to exercise those rights individually.”

The American Family Association feared it was further evidence of what they called religious hostility within the Pentagon.

“This is one more example of the Defense Department leadership allowing hostility towards faith and religious freedom in our military,” Sharp told Fox News. “The growing list of offenses is overwhelming and Secretary Chuck Hagel should no longer ignore it.”

In recent days, the Army has come under fire after an officer sent an email to subordinates labeling the AFA and the Family Research Council as “domestic hate groups.”
In another incident a group of Army Reservists were told that Evangelical Christians and Catholics are examples of religious extremists.
The Army categorized the incidents as isolated and not condoned by the Dept. of the Army. They said the presentation to the reservists was not produced by the Army nor did it reflect their policy or doctrine.

Last week, soldiers at Fort Wainwright in Alaska were told to scrape off a Bible verse reference on their weapon scopes. That verse had been inscribed by the maker of the scopes.
Among other incidents:
• A War Games scenario at Fort Leavenworth that identified Christian groups and Evangelical groups as being potential threats;
• A 2009 Dept. of Homeland Security memorandum that identified future threats to national security coming from Evangelicals and pro-life groups;
• A West Point study released by the U.S. Military Academy’s Combating Terrorism Center that linked pro-lifers to terrorism;
• Evangelical leader Franklin Graham was uninvited from the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer service because of his comments about Islam;
• Christian prayers were banned at the funeral services for veterans at Houston’s National Cemetery;
• Bibles were banned at Walter Reed Army Medical Center – a decision that was later rescinded;
• Christian crosses and a steeple were removed from a chapel in Afghanistan because the military said the icons disrespected other religions;
• Catholic chaplains were told not to read a letter to parishioners from their archbishop related to Obamacare mandates. The Secretary of the Army feared the letter could be viewed as a call for civil disobedience.

“All of these things make one concerned about the attitude in the military toward evangelicals, Roman Catholics and other people of faith,” Crews said. “He are hoping the military makes every necessary step to correct this.”

The incidents led more than 40 members of Congress to write the Secretary of the Army earlier this month demanding an explanation and an apology.

“This is astonishing and offensive,” read a written by Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO). “We call on you to rescind this briefing and apologize for its content and set the record straight on the Army’s view on these faith groups by providing a balanced briefing on religious extremism.”
