EXPOSED: Massive conflicts of interest found in new abortion pill study

abortion pill

Abortion industry insiders insist that there is a large public interest in expanding distribution of the abortion pill by lifting safety requirements for the drug regimen. Now, right on cue, a study done by abortion industry insiders and funded by a large investor of the abortion pill’s manufacturer purports to show that women want “alternative models” for obtaining the abortion pill. But the move is anything but organic and is being strategically driven by abortion industry insiders.

Published by the Journal Contraception, the study claims that women support obtaining abortion pills “(1) in advance from a doctor for future use, (2) over-the-counter (OTC) from a drugstore and (3) online without a prescription.” But there is more beneath the surface at play here. Not only are the Journal and its authors deeply embedded in the abortion industry, but the funding for this study also came from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, a major investor in Danco, the manufacturer of the abortion pill.

In 1998, according to reports, Packard seeded Danco with $10 million, and Packard also currently funds Gynuity Health Projects, which conducts abortion pill clinical trials. Packard’s investment in Danco included a $14 million loan as early as 1996 to bring the drug to the US, as well as additional grants made in 2000, 2004, and 2009. And yet, the Journal claims there are no conflicts of interest.

Additional investors in Danco include George Soros (Open Society), Warren Buffet (Buffet Foundation) and the California-based Kaiser Family Foundation.

The abortion pill regimen, RU486, is made up of two drugs: Misoprostol and Mifeprex. This regimen is currently regulated by the FDA under a system known as REMS. As Live Action News previously explained, taking the abortion pill regimen isn’t just a simple thing — if a woman is too far along or if her pregnancy is ectopic, these factors put women at additional risk. There have been 22 reported deaths and thousands of hospitalizations since the abortion pill’s approval in 2000.

Live Action News has previously documented how:

  • Abortion insiders brought RU486 to the US.
  • Abortion insiders are conducting clinical trials for “home-use” and “self managed” abortions.
  • Abortion insiders collaborated to push “home use” abortions.
  • Abortion insiders recently coordinated a Tweetfest to promote “self-managed” abortions.
  • And now, abortion insiders conveniently roll out a study claiming women support “alternative models of medication abortion provision.”

Despite the clear conflicts of interest surrounding this study about the abortion pill, it and other studies like it are likely to go unchallenged by the mainstream media, just as abortion industry leader Planned Parenthood’s claims continue to go unchallenged. This does a grave disservice to women.

Warren Buffet gave 40 million to abortion giant Planned Parenthood

The Buffett Foundation’s 990 for 2012 wasn’t available. But in 2011, it gave or pledged more than $40 million to Planned Parenthood, which provides abortions as part of its range of services. It gave more than $1 million to the Abortion Access Project and many other pro-abortion groups.

Here is a partial list of the Planned Parenthood’s they donated to:

Buffett Billions Padding “Charitable” Abortion Advocacy

By Peter J. Smith

OMAHA, Nebraska, July 8, 2010 ( – For the last number of years American billionaire Warren Buffett, 79, has gradually been giving away his estimated $47 billion fortune – and much of it is going to support the work of abortion activists worldwide.

The Bloomberg news agency reports that Buffett’s annual gift this year to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation – which supports population control efforts around the globe – was figured at $1.6 billion in Class B stock of Berkshire Hathaway, Buffett’s Omaha-based company. The amount is a 28 percent increase from last year, due to the fact that the value of Buffett’s Berkshire holdings have improved overall while the rest of the economy has tanked. Berkshire’s stock value rose 35 percent on the New York Stock Exchange over the past twelve months, and Berkshire profits rose 61 percent in 2009.

In 2006, Buffett endowed the Gates Foundation with 10 million Berkshire Class B shares, valued at approximately $37 billion dollars. Buffett’s 2010 donation constitutes part of the annual installment plan of 5 percent of pledged stocks to the foundation’s trust fund. The stock gives the Gates Foundation a steady source of income (the pay-out target over the coming decade is $3 billion a year) from which it can fund various other charities – which have included population control groups such as Planned Parenthood and others.

Just last month, the Gates Foundation announced they would be investing $1.5 billion in the cause of maternal health over the next 5 years – with a special emphasis on spreading “family planning” in the third world.

Bloomberg reports that other abortion advocacy groups also received tens of millions for their work promoting abortion at home and abroad through the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, a charity Buffet set up in honor of his first wife, who died in 2005. That foundation distributed more than $2 million to the Abortion Access Project Inc., over $2 million to Catholics for Choice, a group dedicated to undermining the Catholic Church’s teaching on the sanctity of life, and more than $40 million to Ipas, a group that promotes the expansion of legal abortion in Latin and Central America, and in third world countries.

In fact, Ipas was implicated in 2007 as a participant in the alleged cover-up of the rape of a nine-year-old young girl named “Rosita,” by her step-father. Marta Maria Blandon, then Ipas Director for Central America, was accused of helping Francisco Fletes flee Costa Rica with his wife and “Rosita” in 2003, knowing full well that the Fletes was a suspect in the investigation. However, Blandon’s priority and that of her accomplices in the international abortion movement, was using the nine-year old’s pregnancy as a “hard case” by which they could undermine the region’s pro-life laws.

Ipas also intervened in the battle over legalizing abortion in Mexico City with false statistics, claiming that 1527 women had died from complications due to illegal abortions between the years 1990 and 2005. However pro-life advocates pointed out that the health department’s own statistics, as well as those of other agencies, contradicted that number.

Bloomberg reports that Buffett intends to give away 99 percent of his personal fortune before his death. He has pledged 85 percent of his holdings in Berkshire to the Gates Foundation, the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the Sherwood Foundation and the NoVo Foundation.

Giving Pledge: Warren Buffet joins Bill and Melinda Gates and elites in secret meeting to Increase Giving to “Eugenic” Causes?

Fortune Magazine: Bill and Melinda Gates join Warren Buffett in the $600 billion challenge

The trio is asking the nation’s billionaires to pledge to give at least half their net worth to charity.

Last year, word got out that the world’s richest had secretly gathered in New York City. Warren Buffett hobnobbed with Oprah Winfrey. David Rockefeller schmoozed with Bill and Melinda Gates. George Soros was imagined by journalists to be star struck by it all. And while most media sources wondered at this “unprecedented” event, others felt this could only bode bad things for the rest of us.

But it turns out the subject of the secret meeting was simple — philanthropy. And Fortune Magazine recently detailed the first complete public disclosure on what went down in this historic meeting of monies. In what could be potentially the biggest fundraising drive in history, Warren Buffett and Bill and Melinda Gates are hoping to inspire other billionaires to pledge at least 50 percent of their net worth to charity during their lifetimes or at death.

Who to start with? Naturally, with the Forbes list of the 400 wealthiest Americans. In 2009, Forbes estimated the net worth of their top 400 to be around $1.2 trillion. If they gave away 50 percent of their net worth during their lifetime, they would disseminate $600 billion to philanthropy.

Gates and Buffett say the super wealthy can and should do much more. As Fortune Magazine reports, in 2007, 18,394 individual taxpayers having adjusted gross income of $10 million or more reported charitable gifts equal to about $32.8 billion. This was 5.84 percent of their $562 billion income. And also in 2007, the billionaires of our country gave about 11 percent of their income to charity.

So it seems that there is a large gap between what the mega-wealthy are giving and what Gates and Buffett would like them to give. Consequently, they have since hosted a series of dinners over the past year to bring others to their cause. Buffett has already famously pledged to gradually give away his Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) fortune to five foundations, much of which will go to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has also famously pledged to not leave his fortune to his children.

But Buffett’s exclusion of his children from his huge fortune has proved controversial among the billionaires. Some worry that such action could alienate their children. Bill and Melinda Gates have pointed out that these are valid concerns from people who want to feel as smart about giving as they were about making their money. Nonetheless, they feel others should be urged to step up to the philanthropic plate. Bill Gates has reportedly said at these dinners,”no one ever said to me, ‘We gave more than we should have.'”

Buffett takes a pragmatic view. Some have already committed, but others remain reticent. As he has said, “They may not have reached a decision about that, but they have for sure thought about it. The pledge that we’re asking them to make will put them to thinking about the whole issue again.” And if even a few more billionaires get on board, it could change the face of philanthropy forever.

Gates Foundation promotes “Maternal Health” is this masking NSSM200 Eugenics ?

Gates Foundation Pledges $1.5 Billion for Maternal Health
By Patrick B. Craine

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 8, 2010 ( – The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has called on global leaders to make maternal and child health care in the developing world a top priority. The Foundation announced that it investing $1.5 billion to this cause over the next 5years. While the Gates have not clearly indicated whether or not they will fund abortions or abortion advocacy, one of their top priorities will be “family planning.”

Melinda Gates, who serves as the foundation’s co-chair, made the announcement Monday at the Women Deliver 2010 conference in Washington, D.C., a gathering of global leaders, health experts, and activists who are largely pro-abortion and pro-contraception.

“The world must come together to save women’s and children’s lives,” said Gates. “In poor countries, pregnancy and childbirth often end in tragedy. Our goal must be to build a world where every birth brings joy and hope for the future.”

Gates emphasized that the upcoming months are key, noting that Canada has challenged developed countries to step up their efforts for maternal and child health as president of this month’s G8 summit in Muskoka, Ontario.

“This is a pivotal moment for women’s and children’s health,” she said. “Canada is proposing a bold but achievable plan that can save countless lives – and I hope all G8 members will lend their strong support. The need is urgent and clear.”

The foundation’s funds will be directed to 3 priority areas: “family planning,” health care for pregnant women, newborns, and children, and nutrition. In a press release, the foundation lists a variety of focus projects, including: training front-line health workers, and developing interventions such as simpler antibiotics for newborn infections and cheaper remedies for post-partum hemorrhage. But the foundation also wants to develop strategies for spreading “family planning” services in poor urban areas.

Steven Mosher, President of the Population Research Institute, commented to LifeSiteNews (LSN) that while the Gates Foundation has some good projects, there is also “clearly a push for population control.” He noted that “family planning” programs, such as those long advanced by the Gates, are “just population control in a new guise.”

Founded in 1994, the Gates Foundation has given millions of dollars over the years to the International Planned Parenthood Federation, the largest abortion provider in the world. They have likewise given millions to the United Nations Population Fund, which Mosher has exposed as being a direct participant in China’s coercive one-child policy.

Melinda Gates told NPR Monday that in her experience many women in the developing world are “begging” for contraceptives. “I actually think the biggest barrier is sometimes the American public,” she said. “The way we think about reproductive rights is pretty different than the European women do or the women I meet in Africa and even the governments in Africa.”

“We make it a big debate, and it really shouldn’t be,” she said.

But Mosher rebuffed Gates’ claim by pointing to numerous surveys conducted by his organization in such countries as Kenya, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Mexico. He said these surveys show that “women in the developing world prefer almost any kind of health care to ‘reproductive health care,’” and that they “want things like clean drinking water and better sanitation above all.”

“I think that they are telling her what she wants to hear,” he continued. “I am sure these visits are stage-managed by her staff to produce the kinds of scripted comments that make their funding choices appear to be a response to local needs.”

Regarding “family planning” initiatives, Mosher insisted that “we are not talking about voluntary programs, for all the rhetoric to the contrary. We are talking about access to health care being conditioned on accepting birth control pills. About agents of the state asking women if they are willing to take birth control pills or would they rather be sterilized.”
“It is about giving out ‘free’ packs of oral rehydration salt (for dysentery) to women in exchange for accepting depo-provera,” he added. “It is about threats, and bribes, and sanctions, not ‘voluntarism.’”

NPR also noted that Gates tried to avoid discussing abortion when she made the announcement. “We don’t want to be part of the controversy or stem that controversy,” she said.
“Hopefully, Mrs. Gates will move the foundation away from its past funding of abortion advocacy,” Mosher commented, “but the jury is still out on that score.”

LifeSiteNews contacted the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation but they declined an interview.

This is masking the Eugenic NASSM200 plan:

Listen to what our own president, Lyndon B. Johnson had to say< LBJ Faces up a Crisis: Johnson also stated, “Nations with food deficits must put more of their resources into voluntary family planning programs.” ( SOURCE: Lewiston Evening Journal – Feb 2, 1967 , from Johnson’s 1967 State of the Union Address )

On December 10, 1974, the United States National Security Council promulgated National Security Study Memorandum 200 (NSSM-200), also called The Kissinger Report. This document explicitly laid out a detailed strategy by which the United States would aggressively promote population control in developing nations in order to regulate (or have better access to) the natural resources of these countries.

In order to protect U.S. commercial interests, NSSM-200 cited a number of factors that could interrupt the smooth flow of materials from lesser-developed countries, LDCs as it called them, to the United States, including a large population of anti-imperialist youth, who must, according to NSSM-200, be limited by population control. The document identified 13 nations by name that would be primary targets of U.S.-funded population control efforts.

According to NSSM-200, elements of the implementation of population control programs could include: a) the legalization of abortion; b) financial incentives for countries to increase their abortion, sterilization and contraception-use rates; c) indoctrination of children; and d) mandatory population control, and coercion of other forms, such as withholding disaster and food aid unless an LDC implements population control programs.

While the CIA and Departments of State and Defense have issued hundreds of papers on population control and national security, the U.S. government has never renounced NSSM-200, but has only amended certain portions of its policy. NSSM-200, therefore, remains the foundational document on population control issued by the United States government.

Bill Gates has close connections to the nation’s largest abortion clinic: Planned Parenthood:

Transcript: Bill Moyers Interviews Bill Gates / Admits dad worked for Planned Parenthood

GATES: When I was growing up, my parents were almost involved in various volunteer things. My dad was head of Planned Parenthood. And it was very controversial to be involved with that. And so it’s fascinating. At the dinner table my parents are very good at sharing the things that they were doing. And almost treating us like adults, talking about that.
My mom was on the United Way group that decides how to allocate the money and looks at all the different charities and makes the very hard decisions about where that pool of funds is going to go. So I always knew there was something about really educating people and giving them choices in terms of family size.

AND ONE OF THE PLANS MANY OF THEM FUND – is BLACK GENOCIDE, by funding abortion/family planning/ and Planned Parenthood as proved in a new documentary: Maafa21:

Guttmacher Institute is the Research Arm for the largest provider of abortions nationally and internationally – Planned Parenthood and was named after one of Planned Parenthood’s President – Alan Guttmacher. Alan Guttmacher , who was also a Vice President for the American Eugenics Society, said this in 1967- “ I oppose abortion on demand, at least now for the United States, there are several reason. First, the public does not want it… only 20 % of the public favors abortion for single women… Abortion on demand relives the male of all responsibility in the sphere of pregnancy control..he becomes and animal…not far removed from the status of a bull…I favor liberalization of existing [ abortion] statutes…” But…should Guttmacher be legally permitted to do abortions he continues, ” I would abort mothers already carrying three or more children…I would abort women who desire abortion who are drug addicts or severe alcoholics…I would abort women with sub-normal mentality incapable of providing satisfactory parental care…”
(Source; “Abortion: The Issues”, Dr. Alan Guttmacher – President, Planned Parenthood, December 4, 1967, Harvard Law School Forum)

In 1969, Guttmacher as then President of Planned Parenthood-World Population, said this: “ I would like to give our voluntary means of population control full opportunity in the next 10 to 12 years. Then , if these don’t succeed, we may have to go into some kind of coercion, not worldwide, but possibly in such places as India, Pakistan, and Indonesia, where pressures are the greatest…There is no question that birth rates can be reduced all over the world if legal abortion is introduced…” ( SOURCE: Family Planning: The needa and the Methods, by: Alan F. Guttmacher; The American Journal of Nursing, Vol. 69, No. 6. (June, 1969) PP. 1229-1234)

And in February of 1970 Alan Guttmacher was interviewed by the Baltimore Magazine and said this
Our birth rate has come down since we last talked.. I think we’ve hit a plateau- the figure’s not likely to drop much more unless there is more legal abortion. , or abortion on request as we call it…My own feeling is that we’ve got to pull out all the stops and involve the United Nations…If you’re going to curb population, it’s extremely important not to have it done by the dammed Yankees, but by the UN. Because the thing is, then it’s not considered genocide. If the United States goes to the Black man or the yellow man and says slow down your reproduction rate, we’re immediately suspected of having ulterior motives to keep the white man dominant in the world. If you can send in a colorful UN force, you’ve got much better leverage.”

This is about POPULATION CONTROL – Increasing abortions in African nations is part of the NSSM200 plan.

Simply listen to the words of Guttmacher told a symposium at the University of California Medical Center in 1966 he stated that, “the belief that the white middle class was coercing their own poor and people with black and yellow skins to reduce family size because the middle-class whites are frightened of being outnumbered.”

The only way the mounting feeling that birth control is a tool of racism can be handled, is to involve knowledgeable leaders from the minority groups who understand and are favorable to the philosophy of birth control. They, in turn, must translate their appreciation of the contribution which birth control can make toward family stability to their own people.” (SOURCE: New York Times: Doctor blames his profession for delays on Family Planning: 1/16/1966)

Bill Gates Calls for Population Reduction

Stephen P. Fuller
February 22, 2010

In a recent TED Talk, Bill Gates has put forward the theory that mankind can reach zero carbon emissions by reducing our population, services, energy and carbon output. And yes, he’s even suggested a trendy, yet totally absurd, equation to legitimatize his eugenicist viewpoint. All I can say is, “What a crackpot!” Maybe it’s because he hasn’t noticed the systematic fraud exposed in the climate-gate debacle or maybe it’s because the mathematics of his equation are so blatantly imbecilic but I can’t help myself from truncated laughter. This guy is a genius? Really?

First and foremost, the summation equation is immeasurably misleading. No one, and especially not a world renowned computer programmer, should make the mistake of multiplying the variables of a summation. And even if you could overlook that magnitude of an inaccuracy, the number of variables that lead to a reasonable projection of a true change in any chaotic system are far more varied and complex than the four presented by Mr. Gates’ second grade presentation. Yet in typical fashion one TED attendee, Laura Trice, stated, “Bills Gates reduced the environmental CO2 issue to a simple math equation I could understand.”

So, assuming you are among the lemurs that have bought into the CO2 bogeyman storyline (during a carbon starved period of history); you still must concede that anything times zero is zero and therefore Bill Gates, even if inadvertently, called for zero human population. And though one could try to fool themselves into believing that he wouldn’t call for the expansion of the depopulation agenda, you didn’t need to wait very long to hear that directly from his own mouth. Soon into his talk he states that the world’s population is rapidly heading toward a staggering 9 billion and that, “if we do a good job on new vaccines, healthcare, and reproductive health services we could lower that by 10-15%.” Yes, you guessed it; Bill Gates is suggesting tried and tested Malthusian population manipulation to achieve the new world order’s nominal depopulation agenda.

He later states that if they can’t achieve the kind of carbon reduction necessary by their standards; then they will consider using current “geo-engineering” methods to change weather patterns and extend their timeline. But the ultimate fumble of the speech came when Gates was asked what he would say to “climate deniers”. After clumsily attempting to make a point for what seems like an eternity, Gates exclaims, “if we can make the alternatives cheaper then they won’t care anymore.” Well I for one disagree with Mr. Gates’ assertations. For one, reproductive health services is an obvious code phrase for sterilization and abortion services, as so cunningly detailed by Obama Science Czar John Holdren in his government eugenics handbook “Ecoscience”. And secondly, I refuse to take anyone serious that still considers CO2 emission standardization to be anything less than the introduction of a new highly mercenary financial exchange instrument.

However, in the typical fashion of a seasoned professional pitchman, Bill Gates does deliver one singular great point that struggles to lend credibility to all of the previously presented non-sense. The productive use of depleted uranium in a newly designed slow-burn reactor is an idea that has been long overdue. After the egregious use of DU on the battle fields of Iraq, it almost sounds like a fairytale to have the potential to steer the toxic psychosis permeated elite war mongers towards a use for DU that may actually benefit mankind. And once the perpetrators of similar War and State crimes (illegal wiretaps, illegal preemptive war, torture, etc) have been tried and sentenced; DU reactors are surly at the top of the to-do-list.
