Sackin told Current, “So my title was digital outreach lead, but I, along with Greg Greene at the DNC [Democratic National Committee] and for the last few months of the campaign Melissa Ryan from the New Organizing Institute, were talking with progressive bloggers and nontraditional online outlets: political bloggers, people on Twitter, popular Tumblrs, Reddit, really anyone influential online.
The idea behind this was that there’s no longer a single place people get their news or follow a news story. They watch TV and read the paper, but they also share a funny website their friend sent them, retweet a joke they see on Twitter, email a video clip, post a picture with text on Facebook.”

Sackin had a less than serious response, after a series of Undercover Videos shot by the Group , Live Action, which showed a Live Action investigator telling employees of a Planned Parenthood business in the Bronx that he’s in a sex business involving young teenage girls, some of whom speak no English, and wanted advice on obtaining abortions for any of the girls who may be pregnant or may get pregnant while working. One video showed Amy Woodruff, manager of a Planned Parenthood abortion business in Perth Amboy, N.J., advising undercover Live Action investigators how they could get around laws that limit access to abortion and contraception by minors. Just as in New York, the investigators had presented themselves as managers of a sex-trade business involving young teenage girls.
The video and investigation received this response by the Obama Campaigner, after Live Action caught employees in New York giving advice to the “pimp” actor as well who were NOT fired:
Erica Sackin, media relations coordinator for Planned Parenthood of New York, said no disciplinary action is expected as a result of the latest Live Action video.
“We firmly believe these accusations by Live Action are false,” Sackin said. “We believe they are misleading and inaccurate, and that the video was highly edited.”
A written statement provided by Sackin said “teen health and safety is our top priority.”
“Had the teens in question come into our center, they would have met with a licensed social worker,” the statement said. “All teens coming into Planned Parenthood of New York City are screened for child abuse and neglect. All teens who disclose abuse meet with a licensed social worker, who records and reports the abuse.”

Andrea B. sued Dr. Mohammad Momtaz for negligence and medical malpractice committed during a surgery he performed on her at Planned Parenthood of New York City on September 21, 2004. The lawsuit charges that Dr. Momtaz ‘improperly handled the post-operative care of Plaintiff [Andrea B.] at Planned Parenthood, resulting in injuries, including but not limited to, a uterine perforation, need for surgical intervention, hematoma and a permanent left leg neuropathy.’ Andrea was admitted to the emergency room that day, and required further treatment due to the injuries she sustained. Although the complaint does not specify the type of surgery at issue, uterine perforation is a known risk of improperly performed abortion.
In 2002, Doctor Gerald Zupnick $202,210 plus $47,358 in benefits ( lawsuit)
Anneicia R. sued Dr. Gerald Zupnick, sonographer Miguelina Garcia-Mason RDMS, and Planned Parenthood of New York City, Inc. for failing to diagnose an ectopic or tubal pregnancy before performing an abortion on April 3, 2004, thereby causing her to sustain serious injuries. The complaint charges that Dr. Zupnick, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Miguelina Garcia-Mason, and Planned Parenthood were negligent and careless, ‘in failing to perform an appropriate blood test or early sonogram or proper sonogram to determine if plaintiff [Anneicia R.] had an ectopic pregnancy; in performing the abortion in a negligent and improper manner. Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts and Crittenton Hastings House & Clinic, both organizations that provide counseling to pregnant adolescents, and Phillip Stubblefield, M. D. appeared as amici curiae on behalf of the plaintiffs.
A three-judge District Court was convened to hear the case repealed by Plaintiffs in the suit, appellees in both the cases before us now, were William Baird; Parents Aid Society, Inc. (Parents Aid), of which Baird is founder and director; Gerald Zupnick, M. D., who regularly performs abortions at the Parents Aid clinic; and an unmarried minor, identified by the pseudonym “Mary Moe,” who, at the commencement of the suit, was pregnant, residing at home with her parents, and desirous of obtaining an abortion without informing them

Planned Parenthood then took those hard earned dollars away from poor and middle class hard working people and it paid its president, Cecile Richards, $385,163, plus another $11,876 in benefits and deferred compensation. ( View 2008 990 here )

Richards also received $346,285 in total compensation from Planned Parenthood and $38,476 in total compensation from related groups in the organization’s fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2009, according to the organization’s Form 990 for that year. In a 2010 PPFA 990, Cecile Richards reported earning $319,245 from PPFA and $35,471 from related PP organizations
