In the latest undercover video from the Center for Medical Progress you get a sense that Planned Parenthood knew, before the videos were even exposed, that if the public got wind of what they were doing it would be a public relations disaster.

In this 10th video you get a sense of the fear that Planned Parenthood had in the possibility that their grisly baby parts operation would generate a possible “New York Times Headline.”
Despite 9 other videos, though, the media has been biased and even protective of the abortion business which gets millions in tax monies each year. However, social media is driving the public outrage over Planned Parenthood’s Mengele-like operation.
Previous videos by the pro-life group have shown Planned Parenthood top staffers haggling over money of the babies they abort. In addition, both Planned Parenthood doctors as well as a former procurement tech from Stem Express are heard describing the horrific way the abortion business harvests organs.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola admitted she would “crush above” or “crush below” the unborn child to protect the specific baby organ she wanted to procure.
Then there was the horrific description of former StemExpress fetal procurement tech, Holly O’Donnell describing how she was lured into cutting through the face of an intact unborn child whose heart was beating to get brain tissue made me literally sick.
“And she has one of her instruments and she just taps the heart, and it starts beating. And I’m sitting here and I’m looking at this fetus, and its heart is beating, and I don’t know what to think,” O’Donnell says in the video.
In the 10th video from CMP, Dr. Carolyn Westhoff, Senior Medical Advisor for PPFA tells what she thinks is a buyer from a Biotech company that the baby body parts most buyers want include spinal cords and gonads among others.
“We’ve just been working with people who want particular tissues, like, you know, they want cardiac, or they want eyes, or they want neural,” says Dr. Westhoff to a prospective fetal organ buyer. “Certainly, everything we provide–oh, gonads! Oh my God, gonads. Everything we provide is fresh.”
The sale or purchase of human fetal tissue is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $500,000 (42 U.S.C. 289g-2).
The first thought that came to my mind is, wouldn’t it be nice if, instead of buying spinal cords and gonads from innocent babies, that Congress and every attorney general in the country would get a “spine” and not only defund the baby parts harvesting organization but prosecute them?
At the event where the video is recorded, Westoff who is often quoted as an abortion expert, mentions to CMP that Planned Parenthood’s head of abortion services is there and could discuss the possibility of having their affiliates harvest babies, however, she acknowledges that if this got out to the public it would be a huge PR nightmare.

“Obviously, we would have the potential for a huge P.R. issue in doing this,” Westoff said before offering to introduce the buyers to “national office abortion people” from Planned Parenthood.
Dr. Vanessa Cullins, Vice President for External Medical Affairs for PPFA who once said of HPV, “All of us get it,” echoed Westoff’s fears.

“This is important. This could destroy your organization and us, if we don’t time those conversations correctly,” she tells a prospective buyer.
Deborah VanDerhei, National Director for the Consortium of Abortion Providers (CAPS) at PPFA told the “buyer” that she has been talking about harvesting babies to the National Abortion Federation (NAF) and how to figure it all out as an industry and how the abortion clinics should be “compensated.”
CAPS is an influential committee within Planned Parenthood that drives abortion policy across the organization.
In the video, you hear VanDerhei referring to payments for fetal tissue as “donation for remuneration,” which carries the connotation of financial reward or benefit without regard for actual expenses, according to CMP.

“I have been talking to the executive director of the National Abortion Federation, we’re trying to figure this out as an industry, about how we’re going to manage remuneration, because the headlines would be a disaster,” she says.
Despite Planned Parenthood’s repeated denial that they are illegalling selling the organs from babies they abort and then harvest, VanDerhei admitted to the undercover group that her organization is intentionally “absent a policy” but whatever their centers decide they needed to think “New York Times Headline” when creating one.

“We are absent a policy and that’s relatively intentional. And the policy that we do have suggests that you really think about what you are doing, vet your procurement service, and um, if there’s any way you can do it mission based that that’s probably better.
“And if you do decide that you want to engage in remuneration, that you really need to like think that through and think “New York Times Headline,” when you’re creating your policy,
” the Planned Parenthood “abortion person” said.If you recall from previous videos, this was reiterated by Planned Parenthood Federation of America Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola who stated clearly that there are no Planned Parenthood guidelines on “tissue procurement” saying “there will never be guidelines.”
When asked if there are any guidelines regarding compensation for the aborted tissue i.e. body parts of the human child, Nucatola said, “Nothing is written, there is nothing in stone.”
This appeared to be the case because later in the video, the National Director for the Consortium of Abortion Providers (CAPS) at PPFA admitted, “We have independent colleagues who generate a fair amount of income doing this.”
VanDerhei suggests that Planned Parenthood goes to great lengths to avoid leaving a paper trail about their fetal tissue activity: “It’s an issue that you might imagine we’re not really that comfortable talking about on email.”
In a conversation recorded between VanDerhei and Vanessa Russo, Compliance Program Administrator for Planned Parenthood Keystone in Pennsylvania, Russo suggested that Planned Parenthood doesn’t need to worry about the “headlines” because they “can’t consent to be bullied by ridiculous laws” and a media that “doesn’t understand the big picture.”
Adding that she loves the idea of being able to harvest babies for research. Russo said there was too much discussion on ridiculous things and that, “A company like this that wants to give our organization money for the tissue–I think that that’s a valid exchange, and that that’s okay.”
VanDerhei, who had a longer history with Planned Parenthood disagreed with Russo’s casual take reminding her that, “A Congressional hearing from, you know, scared the Bejezzus out of people 15 years ago.”
She was referring to an investigation conducted by the pro-life group, Life Dynamics in Denton, Texas which originally exposed the way the abortion industry sells aborted baby parts. ( read here)
In the end, despite all the hurdles, VanDerhei emphasized that she wanted to make sure that when it comes to harvesting baby parts for remuneration, the take-away is “this is a good idea.”
Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the country, responsible for 327,000 abortions every year, and receives $528 million in taxpayer money each year.
An audit recently conducted on Planned Parenthood Federation of America revealed that they spend over $62 MILLION for just employee compensation including salaries.
David Daleiden, Project Lead for CMP that, “From email black-outs to contorted oxymorons like ‘donation for remuneration,’ the lengths to which Planned Parenthood leadership will go to cover-up their illegal sale of aborted baby parts are nothing less than the desperation of a guilty conscience.”
“Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards openly admits they receive ‘$60 per tissue specimen,’ and their contracts with StemExpress offer payments per fetus ‘determined in the clinic to be usable.’ Planned Parenthood runs their abortion and baby parts business in open disregard for the law and should be prosecuted immediately. Their taxpayer funding should be reassigned to Federally Qualified Health Centers, which provide more and comprehensive health services at locations outnumbering Planned Parenthood 20 to 1.”
