PateltauntsMillionaire Oklahoma abortionist Nareshkumar Gandalal “Naresh” Patel, who once faced charges of raping and sodomizing his abortion patients, is once again under investigation after Operation Rescue filed a five-count complaint against him with the State Attorney General’s office, the Oklahoma Health Department, and the Oklahoma Medical Board.

The complaints were based on documents and medical waste that had been discarded in a publicly-accessible trash receptacle near Patel’s Outpatient Services for Women abortion clinic in Oklahoma City. The material was received by Operation Rescue from an anonymous source on March 18, 2013.

Allegations include:

1. Record-keeping violations and improper disposal of confidential information.
2. Mandatory reporting violations.
3. Improper disposal of medical waste.
4. Failure to protect and properly dispose of employment applications.
5. Failure to observe 24-hour voluntary and informed consent.

Patel is an abortionist with a long and particularly horrific history of Medical Board disciplinary actions, malpractice claims, and criminal cases. Nevertheless, financial documents found amid the medical records and waste indicate that Patel owns $39.4 million in real estate. His personal income exceeds $1.4 million annually. His net worth is listed at $28 million.

“It’s appalling that Patel has lined his pockets by taking innocent life while flouting the law and cutting corners on women’s health,” said Newman. “Frankly, it’s despicable.”

Board discipline

In 1990, Patel was disciplined by the Oklahoma Medical Board for Unprofessional Conduct for “failing to maintain dispensing records for dangerous drugs and keep complete and accurate records of purchase and dispensing of controlled drugs.”

Records show he was also disciplined for botching an abortion in 1989. Medical Board documents state that Patel “did perform a surgical procedure on patient E.S.B., and said procedure was performed in an unprofessional manner and unprofessional setting.”

Unfortunately, Patel appealed to the Oklahoma Supreme Court, which struck the botched abortion charge from Patel’s record, allowing only the charge of failing to maintain proper drug records to stand.

In 1992, the State of Ohio issued a reprimand of Patel based on Oklahoma’s actions.

History of dumping aborted baby remains

Fetuses in Field

In 1993, Patel admitted that he dumped the remains of nearly 60 babies that had been aborted at his clinic in a field near Shawnee, Kansas, and had attempted to burn them but only the plastic bags around the remains caught on fire. The bodies were discovered by two passers-by. Patel’s excuse that he could not find a service to take away the remains lacked credibility. Because at that time there were no laws in Oklahoma regarding the disposal of aborted baby remains, Patel was never charged.

As this blog has already reported:

In March of 1993, Abortion doctor Nareshkumar Patel of Shawnee, Oklahoma was accused of Forcible Oral Sodomy and sexual battery by a patient he was treating after hours in his clinic. Patel was also the focus of a controversy in 1992 when several aborted fetuses from his clinic were found partially burned in an open field owned by Patel. Officials could not cite any law that prohibited the burning of aborted fetuses in that manner and those charges were dropped. Abortionist accused of sodomy and rape

According to the Daily Oklahoman (Abortion Doctor Denies Sex Charges: 9/20/1994), Oklahoma abortion doctor Nareshkumar Patel, 42, was charged in Oklahoma County District Court with one count of forcible oral sodomy and one count of sexual battery in an alleged 1993 sexual assault on a patient.

Patel denied that he had sexually abused any of his patients.

The 25-year-old victim testified that Patel attempted to force her to sodomize him after she had been sedated. Two other women previously testified Patel had raped them after he had administered an anesthetic to them.

However, Patel was not charged in those attacks because they allegedly happened in 1989 and 1990. They came forward only after Patel was charged in 1993.

A September 16,1994 article in the same paper, Ex-Patient Claims Rape By Patel Before Abortion, reports that a 26-year-old Moore woman testified that Patel raped her in 1990 shortly before performing an abortion on her. The woman testified that Dr. Patel prepared her for an abortion by sedating her, then raped her on the surgical table. After the assault, Patel began the abortion procedure, the woman testified.

Another woman testified that she had been a patient of Patel’s in 1989 and also had been raped by him under similar circumstances. The woman, then 19, also did not report the alleged attack to law enforcement because she “felt dirty.”

Patel denied all the charges and some of his staff testified that he was never alone with female patients. However, Rochelle Brown, a former employee of Patel’s at his Shawnee clinic, claimed Patel often would conduct pelvic examinations on female patients with no nurse present.

Examples from OR’s post:

Second patient’s testimony

The second women to come forward alleged that after she was drugged, she was taken to an examination room and put on a table. She said she heard him unzip his pants and saw him pull them down.

“I felt Dr. Patel enter my rectum with his penis,” she said in response to questioning. She indicated that when he finished sodomizing her, he completed her abortion. When she began to come to afterwards, she told the court, “His penis was in my mouth.”

Once fully awake from the sedation, the victim said she was in “severe pain” and bleeding heavily. It was later that she discovered, “I had a tampon in my vagina, and I had a tampon in my rectum.”

Third patient’s testimony

The third patient to make allegations came forward after hearing news reports about Patel and allegations of sexual abuse made by another woman. She noted that she was injected with an unknown drug, after which claimed Paten began to fondle her breasts. While on the examination table, she said, “I heard the zipper of his pants, and he started moving back and forth. And I felt the pressure inside of me.” In response to questioning she indicated that the sensation was in her vagina.

After having his way with her, Patel allegedly called a nurse into the room and completed an abortion on the woman.

Patel was somehow acquitted by the jury that heard this graphic testimony.

“Again and again, Patel has slipped away without consequences. If he really did what the women say, it is an atrocity that he got away with it. What is more disturbing is that Patel continues to be in a position where further abuse of this nature can occur,” said Newman. “People who are sexual deviants just don’t change overnight.”

But that was far from then end of allegations against Patel.

Complaint centers on:

Privacy rights trashed

After analyzing the material from Patel’s abortion clinic trash receptacle, Operation Rescue determined that violations had occurred and filed the appropriate complaints.

Operation Rescue submitted copies of dozens of documents from Patel and Outpatient Services for Women that included original patient consent forms, signed procedure logs, appointment calendars, financial information, and competed abortion forms, all containing patient names, contact information, and other identifying data.

“Abortion clinics claim to be concerned about patient privacy, yet we have found that abortion clinics are among the most negligent when it comes to disposing of detailed patient information,” said Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue. “Women who get abortions should pretty much expect their contact information, medical records, and financial information to end up where it can be easily accessed by the public, thanks to shoddy abortion clinic practices.”

Failure to report

Also discovered among the cache of documents received by Operation Rescue were numerous original Individual Abortion Forms. Oklahoma requires that abortion clinics report each abortion that is done. The presence of the completed forms in the trash indicate that these abortions may not have been reported and that further investigation is required.

Failing to report abortions within 30 days of the abortion is a crime in Oklahoma punishable with a $500 fine per report.

Bloody refuse

laminaria

Operation Rescue submitted photos to the authorities that showed several large bloody sticks of laminaria dilators that had been improperly discarded along with other bloody refuse from what appeared to be a second trimester abortion. Also discarded with the bloody trash was a blood-stained broken tenaculum, which is a scissor-like grasping instrument.

The discarded laminaria and broken tenaculum both fall within Oklahoma Administrative Code 252:515-23 that prohibits “the improper disposal of regulated medical waste, including untreated sharps and items contaminated with blood or other human body fluids.”

As I stated in a previous BLOG, where I list other incidents of pro-choice violence, the recent murder of a pro-life activist has been just a blip on the radar screen of the news media. Even Fox News has drooped the story, failing to report the thousands of threats, assaults, attacks, and illegal activities by pro-choice and abortion activists. Below is some historical perspective on just how sleezy the abortion industry really is. A little effort by the news medias – INCLUDING FOX , Glenn Beck, and Bill O’Reilly- would blow the lid off the illegal activities going on under the guise of “Reproductive Rights”!

Here are a few more examples:
Unsuspecting Ghanaian abortion patient, Eunice Agabgaa entered Y&P Medical (abortion) Clinic in New York. Dr. Abram Zelikman allegedly left the clinic while Eunice was in recovery from an abortion Zelikman had performed. Unfortunately the abortion was so bad, it resulted in her death. A friend who was present at the clinic testified that she pleaded with the clinic staff to call paramedics once she noticed Eunice’s bloodied body and poor vital signs. her friend stated, ” I felt if I hadn’t been there they would have wrapped her dead body and thrown it in the garbage.“. The California Medical Board , investigated actions by abortion doc: Dr. Tati Okereke, A/K/A High Street Medical. In 1982, Dr. Okereke was accused of fondling a female patients breast “without medical justification”. He was also accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with her without her consent. This lovely abortion doctor was also accused of injecting patients with anesthetics , then engaging in sexual intercourse without the permission of the woman. ( Lovely defender of “reproductive rights, huh?). One woman testified to the medical board that she could not move any muscles during this ordeal, but just kept crying “What are you doing?” Another patient testified that after Okereke examined her vagina that he licked his finger. She said the doctor tried to pay her off to keep her quiet following the incident. Okereke’s Medical License was revoked in November of 1989. (SOURCE: California Medical Board case #11593)

The Mississippi Board of Medical Licensure revoked the license of abortionist, Milan D. Chepko in 1991. Dr. Chepko, who performed abortions at the New Women Medical Center in Jackson, MS was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury (Case # J89-00064 W) involving interstate transportation of a VHS cassette showing minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct. The tape contained scenes with children as young as four years old in sexual conduct with adult males and females. One incident allegedly involved children and adults engaged in sodomy. In 1990 the Florida Medical Board passed a disciplinary action against male abortion clinic nurse Barry A. Hill. Hill was employed at the Today’s Woman Medical Center of Coral Gables, FL , a South Florida abortion clinic chain owned by abortionist: Dr. Vladimar Rosenthal. On October 26, 1989 Florida’s Department of Health and Human Services inspector Diane Robie discovered two envelopes in the abortion clinic containing pictures of several women undressed with their legs apart. According to State Medical Board reports the perineal area was the focal point of the photographer. Hill, the abortion clinic’s anesthetists claimed ownership of the photographs. Former employees of the abortion clinic spoke to the Miami Herald where they stated they saw Hill fondling the breasts of several female patients while they were under anesthesia. The former abortion clinic employees told news reporters that they were fired by clinic owner Rosenthal after he heard them complaining to a National Abortion Federation Representative (the clinic was a member) of the conditions at the clinic and Mr. Hills activities. The Miami Herald in August of 1990 reported that abortion doctor Pravin Thakker was convicted of performing abortions on his former lovers without their consent. Thakker was also investigated by the Indiana Medical board for lewd and immoral conduct toward female patients under his care. On June 11,1991 a jury found Thakker guilty of two counts of battery, two counts of illegal abortion and two counts of criminal recklessness. Thakker was sentenced on July 31, 1991 to prison in the Indiana Department of Corrections. ( SOURCE: The Indiana Health Profession Bureau Case # 89 MLB 003.)

In 1987 the Tamarac, Florida police department began an investigation into allegations of sexual assault by abortion doctor Jeffrey Goldenberg. Dr. Goldenberg was employed by the University Women’s Center abortion clinic in Tamarac. Goldenberg was never tried on charges developed during investigations, because Goldenberg was killed in a traffic accident prior to trial. The Minnesota Board of Medical Examiners suspended the license of abortionist: Dr. Hideo D. Mori, a past 18 year volunteer at Planned Parenthood in Austin Minnesota. Dr. Mori was found to have engaged in sexual misconduct with several of his female patients. The charges against Mori included, massaging the clitoris and vagina of a patient during pelvic exams, kissing the face neck and breasts of patients during exams and embracing a patient. Mori allegedly told one of his patients that she should have sex with her husband in front of him so he could observe and determine why the patient was not climaxing. In 1983 abortion doc Nabil Ghali’s medical license in Kentucky was revoked following his conviction on four counts of unlawful sexual transaction with a minor. (A fourteen year old female neighbor) The victims younger sister also testified she has seen Ghali improperly touching a five year old child. In 1989 while Ghali was operating an abortion clinic in Florida and performing abortions in several other South Florida clinics, the state’s medical board began revocation procedures of his license due to falsification of his license application. Ghali was caught in Florida performing abortions in South Dade County. When Ghali later lost his license in Florida he moved to Ohio and continued to perform abortions. The State of Ohio after learning of Ghali’s history began revocation procedures. In February 1993 the Ohio Medical Board won an appeal upholding Ghali’s license revocation. In addition to Ghali’s sexual conduct he was involved in the death of at least one woman from an abortion procedure in Florida. Abortion Doctor Ronald Tauber had his Florida medical license suspended following the abortion related death of Gloria Small. In 1985 after moving to Michigan, Tauber’s license to practice osteopathic medicine in that state was revoked following his conviction of First Degree criminal sexual assault, and second degree criminal sexual conduct. Details of the case revealed that abortionist Tauber was convicted after the state proved he had forcibly transported a six year old girl in his car against her will. Tauber admitted exposing himself to the girl and placing her hand on his penis. He also lifted the child’s undergarment to expose her vulva. Tauber released the girl when she began to cry. Tauber was also cited for masturbating in his car outside a high school where young girls were exiting.. Tauber was released from prison on January 3, 1990 and his parole ended on August 15, 1991. Tauber was later licensed to practice by the state of New York in August of 1992. In April of 1992, Abortionist Larry Thompson’s Nevada medical license was revoked. The Board of Medical Examiners of Nevada determined that while performing an abortion at The Women’s Place in North Las Vegas, Dr. Thompson lacerated the uterus of his patient. The board said Thompson failed to monitor the woman’s condition adequately, and the abortion clinic did not have adequate medical equipment. As a result of the laceration and inadequate care that followed the abortion patient died. Abortionist Thompson also failed to recognize the cause of the patients death, according to the state’s disciplinary action. (SOURCE: Nevada Board of Medical Examiners case # 8289.)

In February of 1993, New York abortion doc. Abu Hayat was convicted of performing an illegal third trimester abortion in which he ripped the child’s arm from its body in the abortion attempt. The child was later born alive and has recovered with just one arm. In addition to the above occurrence Dr. Hayat, (an individual member of the National Abortion Federation) was cited by the Medical Board for refusing to complete an abortion on a patient after he demanded an additional payment of $500. The woman left the abortion clinic bleeding and with an incomplete abortion when she told Hayat she could not pay the extra $500. Victim: Ana Rosa

In January 1993 police arrested the owner of Clinica Feminina de la Cominidad an abortion clinic in Orange County, CA after the suspicious death of a patient at the clinic. News reports alleged Alicia Ruiz Hanna a non-physician performed numerous abortions at the clinic. The body of one of the clinic patients was found outside in the parking lot. Clinic employees have stated that the patient, Angela Sanchez suffered complications and Ruiz refused to call for help and would not allow her employees to call either. Ruiz was caught stuffing the dead abortion patient’s body into the trunk of her car. (SOURCE: The Orange County Register August 24, 1993.)

Abortion doctor David Benjamin (A.K.A. Elysa Bonrouhi) was implicated in charges of negligent homicide and tampering with physical evidence following the death of Guadalupe Negron. Police reports said that Negron was bleeding profusely and complaining of pain following her 2nd trimester abortion at the Metro Women’s Clinic in Corona, Queens New York. Benjamin ordered the patient to be cleaned up and began an abortion on another patient. Benjamin delayed calling an ambulance to transport Ms. Negron and attempted emergency treatment in such a negligent manner that Ms. Negron was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival at a local hospital.
