Pro-life group pickets National Education Association’s support of abortion

Posted in NEA with tags , , , , , , on July 1, 2014 by saynsumthn

Pro-lifers will be gathering to protest the National Education Association’s (NEA) support of abortion this week in Colorado.

The 3.1 million-member National Education Association (NEA) is the largest labor union in the United States. It represents public school teachers and support personnel; faculty and staffers in colleges and universities; retired educators; and college students preparing to become teachers.

The NEA’s mission is allegedly “to advocate for education professionals and to unite our members and the nation to fulfill the promise of public education to prepare every student to succeed in a diverse and interdependent world.”

The group, headed by Bob Pawson who founded Pro-life Educators of America, will be at the NEA Teacher Convention in Denver, CO., as 10,000 NEA delegates from 50 states arrive.

“The NEA union leadership has policies & practices supporting abortion..As taxpayers/parents and children/students, you have legitimate voices in chastising the NEA leadership for involving the union in the abortion issue at all! Abortion is one of a vast number of social, moral, & political issues which NEA’s ‘leaders’ have adopted policies and engaged in activism which have nothing to so with representing teachers in collective bargaining. Their gathering in Denver is YOUR opportunity to take them to task and deliver a message of reprimand to that ‘leadership’ cadre,” Pawson writes.

A resolution from 2013-2014 shows a support for “reproductive freedom” code for abortion on demand:

2013 to 2014 NEA Resolution

I-17. Family Planning
The National Education Association supports family planning, including the right to reproductive freedom.
The Association urges the government to give high priority to making available all methods of family planning to women and men unable to take advantage of private facilities.
The Association also urges the implementation of community-operated, school-based family planning clinics that will provide intensive counseling by trained personnel. )

Others read:

B-52. Sex Education
The National Education Association believes that the developing child’s sexuality is continually and inevitably influenced by daily contacts, including experiences in the school environment. The Association recognizes that sensitive sex education can be a positive force in promoting physical, mental, emotional, and social health and that the public school must assume an increasingly important role in providing the instruction. Teachers and health professionals must be qualified to teach in this area and must be legally protected from censorship and lawsuits.
The Association urges that formal sex education should include parent/guardian orientation and be planned and implemented with careful attention to developmental needs, appropriateness to community settings and values, and respect for individual differences.
The Association also believes that to facilitate the realization of human potential, it is the right of every individual to live in an environment of freely available information and knowledge about sexuality and encourages affiliates and members to support appropriately established sex education programs. Such programs should include information on—
a. Sexual abstinence, birth control, family planning, prenatal care, parenting skills, the effects of substance abuse during pregnancy, and the issues associated with pre-teen and teenage pregnancy
b. Diversity of culture and diversity of sexual orientation and gender identification
c. Sexually transmitted diseases, incest, sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and homophobia.

Another resolution reads:

C-25. Comprehensive School Health, Social, and Psychological Programs and Services
The National Education Association believes that every child should have direct and confidential access to comprehensive health, social, and psychological programs and services. Such programs and services must be interactive and coordinated within and between school, home, and community settings. School and community efforts must also be integrated to promote the well-being of children and youth and to build support for school and community health programs.
e. Comprehensive school-based, community-funded student health care clinics that provide basic physical and mental health, and health care services that include access to social services (which may include diagnosis and treatment) to supplement school nurses
f. If deemed appropriate by local choice, family-planning counseling and access to birth control methods with instruction in their use.

NEA Protest 2014

“How wicked & stupid for the leaders of a teacher union to support the killing of future students. Ironically, charging teachers DUE for supposedly “protecting” their job security,” Pawson points out on his events page.

Abortion the heart of gender equality implies NARAL week dead woman awaits her burial

Posted in Abortion Sacred, NARAL with tags , , , , , , on April 6, 2014 by saynsumthn

NARAL is one of the largest abortion lobbying organizations in the US. THe acronym stands for National Abortion Rights Action League.

So, is it any surprise that before the next woman killed by so-called safe and legal abortion is even put in the ground, NARAL’s president, Ilyse Hogue, would say this: “One reason I am so passionate about my new job at NARAL Pro-Choice America is because I know that reproductive freedom is the heart of gender equality.”

Reproductive freedom is synonymous with abortion

Abortion - gender equality

According to another abortion group, International Planned Parenthood, gender equality is the measurable equal representation of women and men.

Perhaps IPPF and NARAL think killing babies and some women from abortion is noble equality, But, I do not. It is somewhat expected to hear silence from the pro-choice community when a woman is killed from legal abortion. But the timing they choose to make abortion a sacred blessing as I blogged about earlier this week or call it the heart of gender equality shows their utter dis-concern for human life generally and women in particular.

LakishaWilson-webOn March 2014, Lakisha Wilson, 22, a Black female died after transport from an Ohio abortion clinic to the hospital.

Operation Rescue reported earlier that it had obtained 911 records that indicated a woman had died after an abortion at Preterm. Those records stated that she was “not breathing at all” and had suffered “Cardiac or Respiratory Arrest/Death.”

LaKisha’s funeral will be held on Monday, April 7 and NARAL’s prez didn’t wait until she was in the ground before praising abortion again.

Jennifer Morbelli Funeral

On February 7, 2013 Jennifer Morbelli died of complications she suffered after a 3rd trimester abortion at a Germantown, Maryland abortion clinic. According to an autopsy report, Morbelli died from Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation “due to or as a consequence of Amniotic Fluid Embolism following Medical Termination of Pregnancy,” making it clear that the abortion was the event that led to her death.

Remember Tonya WOmen Deserve Better

In 2012, another woman, Tonya Reaves died following her legal abortion at Planned Parenthood.

When 24-year-old Tonya Reaves climbed onto a table at a Planned Parenthood facility in Chicago for a “safe and legal” abortion she never knew she would be closing her eyes for the final time. What is now known is that the Planned Parenthood abortionist ripped a hole in Ms. Reaves’ uterus and she began to hemorrhage. It is also known that the Planned Parenthood staff let Tonya lie there for over five hours before they sought emergency care for her. Of course, by then it was too late. She had lost approximately 30 percent of her body’s total blood volume, before she died. Her family successfully sued Planned Parenthood.

The list of dead women from legal abortion goes on and on….but don’t let that stop you, Ms. Hogue from implying that abortion is the heart of that gender equality. Don’t bother actually being concerned for women…..why pretend?
