Pro-lifers preach outside Planned Parenthood prayer event

After an the public rose up against abortion giant Planned Parenthood when they published their Pastoral / Clergy letters encouraging abortion, which I document here and another letter here, they are at it again:

Calling it a Moral Movement, Planned Parenthood held a “prayer event” in Columbus, OH Thursday afternoon.

The promoters of child killing, masturbation, BDSM, sexual promiscuity, who hides child rape and was founded in racism and eugenics by a Klan speaker gathered at the statehouse in Ohio…to…pray????

In response, Pro-lifers came out to speak against this heretical event.

Bryan Kemper Oh St House PP Prayer Aug 2014

According to Stand True director, Bryan Kemper, “They kept praying for the “most vulnerable” but support the killing of innocent babies. They tried to silence us and refused to allow one of our ministers to lead any prayers. I preached the Gospel…

Kemper detailed his experience on his blog, writing, “When I arrived at the Ohio State House yesterday afternoon. I was already skeptical about a prayer vigil that was being advertised by Planned Parenthood. I did not really expect to hear anything remotely biblical.”

“I walked up to the steps of the State House with my pro-life signs and noticed the sign on the podium immediately. It read, “Moral Movement”. Are you kidding me? How can any movement that includes the nation’s largest child-killer call itself moral?”

Kemper was joined by Mark Harrington founder of the pro-life group Created Equal:

The group held images of abortion victims both the unborn babies as well as women killed from legal abortion.

Kemper said that when he and Harrington arrived they were pulled aside by the permit-holder who was wearing an “I heart Jesus” sticker on her shirt; “I was for a brief moment thinking she was going to tell us that she did not want Planned Parenthood there and that we were welcome. I was wrong,” he said.

“She explained to me that they were welcoming all people to this prayer vigil and that she did not want our “dead baby” signs there because they were divisive. I tried to explain to her that Planned Parenthood was killing innocent human beings and that was more divisive than anything. I tried to explain to the minister standing next to her, wearing a collar, that abortion kills innocent children. He just smiled and said, “That’s your opinion.”

“I asked her about the other signs they were allowing in the permitted area and she told me as long as there were not aborted baby pictures on the signs, it was fine. I quickly got signs with just words and stood there at the rally. Seth Drayer from Created Equal brought over a sign with a beautiful life development picture on it, but she quickly came over to tell me that sign was not welcome either.

“I asked her what were the qualifications for leading prayer and she said you have to be a minister. I explained to her that we had a minister with us who would love to lead some prayer. She of course rejected this idea and just walked away.”

Jury Acquits the Four Christian Evangelists Arrested For Proselytizing at the Dearborn Arab Festival

In June 2010, four Christian evangelists were arrested at the annual Arab International Festival in Dearborn, Michigan, for proselytizing to a group of Muslim youth.

The Thomas More Law Center, a national Christian public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, represented the evangelists, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, Paul Rezkalla, Negeen Mayel and David Wood, at no charge.

On September 24, 2010, a jury found the Christians not guilty of any wrongdoing.

ANN ARBOR, MI – Late Friday evening, a jury of six Dearborn, Michigan residents returned a unanimous verdict of not guilty of breach of the peace charges, which were brought by the Dearborn Police Department against four Christian evangelists as they were peacefully proselytizing to Muslim youths during the Arab International Festival on June 18, 2010.

The Thomas More Law Center, a national Christian public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, represented the evangelists, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, Paul Rezkalla, Negeen Mayel and David Wood, at no charge. The jury returned its verdict after an hour and half of deliberations. Nageen Mayel was found guilty of failing to obey a police officer—a charge unrelated to the actual incident, which will most likely be reversed on appeal.

Robert Muise, the Law Center’s Senior Trial Counsel, handled the five-day trial. The prosecutor placed seven witnesses on the stand including Chief of Police, Ron Haddad.

Even after the acquittals, Dearborn’s mayor, Jack O’Reilly, continued his ongoing and unprecedented personal attacks on the Christian evangelists, accusing them of being anti–Muslim bigots. O’Reilly’s continuous anti-Christian rhetoric was clearly an attempt to curry favor with Dearborn’s large Muslim population, which also explains the Police Department’s alarming mobilization to arrest the four Christians.

Wood and Dr. Qureshi are co-founders of “Act 17 Apologetics, ” a ministry group that defends the Gospel of Jesus Christ. On June 18, Mayel and Rezkalla joined them in their missionary work. Dr. Qureshi and Mayel are converts from Islam to Christianity. After the verdict, the group praised the Thomas More Law Center and particularly Robert Muise, whom they described as sharing their emotional burdens and investing more time on the issue than even they did. The group claimed that without the Thomas More Law Center, they would not have been able to defend themselves from persecution by the City of Dearborn.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Law Center, commented, “Rob Muise did an outstanding job advocating on behalf of Free Speech rights protected by our Constitution, despite unsubstantiated police claims that peaceful conversations with Muslims were going to incite a disturbance. The bottom line in the jury’s not guilty verdict: the Constitution, not Shariah law, still prevails in Dearborn, Michigan.”

Charles Stanley – Turning the Tide of Socialism in America

Posted in Church, Socialism with tags , , , , , , , , , on July 6, 2010 by saynsumthn

My only add to this is that we definitely need to pray but we MUST Repent. It is not the “Liberals” fault that America kills 50 million unborn children, allows immorality and steals our money. NO NO NO – it is ours and we’d best take the blame upon ourselves because that is the ONLY recipe that has given for God to “Heal our land” (11 Chronicles 7:14)

Please Blessed Christians – Let us Humble ourselves and PRAY and seek God’s face and TURN from OUR Wicked way. All these ills are rampant in the body of Christ, and we have not stood against them like we should at home, church or community.

In the July 4th sermon posted on Dr. Charles Stanley, Pastor of First Baptist of Atlanta, spoke on “Turning the Tide.” (Copy of Dr. Stanley’s Sermon is Below) A primary focus of the sermon is the clash between Christianity and Socialism.

Dr. Stanley said, “We find ourselves, as a nation, violating the laws of God and heading in a direction that is going to be disastrous for us, for our children and for the generations that are to come, unless there is a change. . . . There is a tide that has touched our shores and reached the heart of our nation. It is a tide that is bringing with it ideas and philosophies, actions and attitudes, that will ultimately destroy the way of life that you and I have.”

Dr. Stanley discussed the growing national debt, unemployment, abortion, the sanctity of marriage and the abandonment of Israel, but his primary focus was on the dangers of Socialism. He said, “Listen carefully, this tide is bringing in control that will attempt to silence the truth and will attempt to squash the religious devotion and worship of the people of God. There will be a collision with Socialism and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

He said Christianity interferes with the spread of Socialism.

Dr. Stanley closed with a story about German Christians gathering to pray in 1989 — against the will of their Communist government. Over time, the prayer meetings swelled from a handful to over 10,000. It got so there were too many to fit in the church where the prayers started. Very soon the Berlin Wall came down.
Dr. Stanley concluded by calling for 140 days of prayer for our nation.

Such a sermon is so rare that InTouch ministries has been overwhelmed by the response. Their web servers are having difficult handling the traffic.

The reason such a sermon is so rare is because many pastors fear the government will interpret their sermon as political speech and threaten their tax exempt status.
This only confirms the truth of Dr. Stanley’s message. Big secular government fears the church and, while professing a desire for separation of church and state, the state stands at the ready to come into a church and limit what a pastor can say. Even Dr. Stanley avoided the use of any current elected official’s name. He quoted President James Garfield and Winston Churchill.

Because of tax-exempt status most American pastors opposed to abortion and gay marriage are afraid to call for parishioners to oppose Elena Kagan’s nomination to the Supreme Court. Ironically, Kagan is exactly the kind of judge likely to rule against churches. If you want “In God We Trust” removed from our money, or “Under God” removed from our pledge, you can place hope in the judges nominated by President Obama.

If you want pastors to have the freedom to preach the Word of God — even as it applies to government — you may wish to join Dr. Stanley in prayer for this nation.

The Nation’s Lighthouse
Source: In Touch
By Charles F. Stanley

Our country is like a large ship fighting through stormy waters in foggy weather. Spiritually and morally, we’ve lost our sense of direction. Sexual sins, greed, pride, indulgence, slothfulness, ungratefulness, and irreverence characterize our nation. Prayer and Bible reading are no longer allowed in schools, and it’s become legal to kill unborn babies. We are on our way to becoming a pagan nation where ungodly ideas and morals are not only accepted but celebrated. Our country is on a collision course with disaster.

Amidst the darkness of our age, the church is called to be like a lighthouse. In foggy weather or on dark nights, lighthouses warn ships of danger and help guide them safely through treacherous waters. Jesus said:

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven (Matt. 5:14-16).
Because you and I have the light of God’s Holy Spirit within us, we have a responsibility. We are to send out a beam of truth into the circle of our family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors.

Scattered across our land are literally hundreds of thousands of churches. Every week, millions of people attend services. So why is our nation, morally speaking, in a fog? Why are we almost sunk by the waves of philosophies and false religions?

In the early part of last century, liberal theology began to penetrate the churches and seminaries of America. Church authorities began to doubt the truthfulness of Scripture. They asserted that only part of the Bible was inspired by God, but that it contained some errors. They also taught that it was outdated.
As a result, sermons grew weaker and less convicting. Pastors compromised the truth to keep from offending those with wealth or position in the community. Children raised to doubt the Bible learned not to trust the Lord. Later, as adults, they had no place in their lives for God. Our generation is reaping the awful harvest of years and years of liberalism. Even today, many pastors fail to send a clear message about the holiness, judgment, and power of our awesome God.

The Individual Believer

A malfunctioning lighthouse can mean danger and destruction for ships seeking safe harbor. What causes a lighthouse beam to grow dim or go out completely? If the glass is dirty, the light will be muted. If there is no power, there can be no illumination.

Why is the church not operating as the lighthouse it should be? Sin has lessened our ability to shine for God. We’ve cut off the power of the Holy Spirit, who desires to work through us. In cowardice, we have compromised our convictions in order to please the world. Believers have been afraid to offend the ungodly by speaking truth; instead, we end up offending almighty God through our disobedience.

Ultimately, the sovereign Lord holds the destiny of this nation in His hands. But He has graciously chosen to involve you and me through our thinking, conduct, and prayers. If we want to see America change for the better, that change must begin with us. When many believers allow God to work through them, the radiance of the church will grow stronger. Its beam of light will penetrate the darkness and provide the direction that our nation so desperately needs.

Peter wrote, “It is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?” (1 Peter 4:17). The church must begin by repenting—turning from the direction we are headed. I challenge you to ask yourself, Am I in the center of God’s will for my life? Am I in some way contributing to the sin in our nation? Is there something about my life that God would like to change? How does my parenting style need to adjust so that my children will have the foundation to be godly, Bible-believing, devoted, obedient Christians?

If the church does not wake up and begin to send a clear message of accountability, forgiveness, and genuine hope, our nation is headed for shipwreck. Do your part to help restore the church in America to be the lighthouse God intended.
