Stunning fetal surgery images offer amazing glimpse of baby in the womb

Fetal surgery is becoming more and more common, saving lives and improving the conditions of preborn children. Like many other medical advances, open fetal surgery (as displayed in the images below) offers an amazing look at the developing person inside the womb.

Images and videos below are of surgical procedures and may be disturbing for some viewers.

Clancy’s iconic photo and story were later documented by PressTV and other worldwide media outlets:

11. PBS produced “Twice Born,” a stunning documentary about fetal surgery:

It is amazing the extent to which members of the medical profession will go to save preborn children growing inside their mother’s wombs. Tragically, there is an inhuman side of “medicine” as well, which believes that ending the lives of other preborn child in an abortion is the better solution.

We long for the day when abortion in unthinkable. Until then, these tiny persons in the womb testify of their humanity.

Are Sanger’s eugenic efforts still a hallmark of Planned Parenthood’s mission?

From Live Action News |

In celebrating their 100th birthday, Planned Parenthood supporters continue to praise their founder Margaret Sanger (even featuring her on their 100 year website) while simultaneously attempting to distance the organization from her eugenicist beliefs. The problem is that they continue to hold Sanger up as an icon, despite her support of one of the most demeaning ideologies of recent centuries.

planned-parenthood-100-years-features-margaret-sanger

In celebrating their 100 year anniversary, Planned Parenthood says (as pictured above) the organization “was founded on the revolutionary idea that women should have the information and care they need to live strong, healthy lives and fulfill their dreams.” But is this true? Was Planned Parenthood really founded on those ideas? Not quite.

Alexander Sanger (image credit IPPF)

Alexander Sanger (image credit IPPF)

In an interview with Vox, Margaret Sanger’s grandson Alexander Sanger, who is the current Chair of the International Planned Parenthood Council and a former president of Planned Parenthood New York City, tried to gloss over his grandmother’s beliefs by claiming that she only “dabbled in eugenics”:

Now, she also dabbled in eugenics. She was not a full believer in all of eugenics, and disagreed with some of the things eugenicists believe in. But at various points in her life, she was opposed to women who she felt were incapable of being mothers from becoming mothers.

How does being “opposed to women who she felt were incapable of being mothers from becoming mothers” square with the idea that women should have “information” and be able to “fulfill their dreams,” as is advertised on the website graphic above? What if those women dreamed of motherhood? And we are supposed to believe that Sanger was some sort of feminist icon?

If Margaret Sanger was “not a full believer in eugenics” as her grandson suggests, it wasn’t where the so-called “unfit” were concerned. The founder of Planned Parenthood clearly advocated eugenic solutions for that “class of people” she deemed unworthy to have children, even calling for a “license to breed” and the permanent sterilization of those she deemed “feebleminded.” If Sanger differed from rank and file eugenicists, it was that she also supported those she called “fit” to voluntarily limit their children. In her autobiography, Sanger wrote:

Eugenics, which had started long before my time, had once been defined as including free love and prevention of conception. Moses Harman of Chicago, one of its chief early adherents, had run a magazine and gone to jail for it under the Comstock regime. Recently it had cropped up again in the form of selective breeding, and biologists and geneticists such as Clarence C. Little, President of the University of Maine, and C. B. Davenport, Director of the Cold Spring Harbor Station for Experimental Evolution, had popularized their findings under this heading…. I accepted one branch of this philosophy, but eugenics without birth control seemed to me a house built upon sands.

The fact is that despite the claims of Planned Parenthood’s supporters, not only did Sanger have a strong belief in eugenics, she made certain eugenics movers and shakers were deeply embedded in her organization. Below is a sample list of American Eugenics Society founders, leaders or members who were a part of Margaret Sanger’s board or organizations:

American Eugenics Society members on Margaret Sanger's Board (image credit Maafa21)

And here is Margaret Sanger herself, listed as a member of the American Eugenics Society. Hardly a “dabble,” as her grandson has suggested:

Margaret was such a strong believer in eugenics that she even attempted to merge her publication with the Eugenics Society (which again doesn’t sound like “dabbling” to me). An April 1, 1925, article in the New York Times documented Sanger’s intentions:

Mrs. Margaret Sanger founder of the American Birth Control League, said that the league was ready to unite with the eugenic movement whenever the eugenists were able to present a definite program of standards for parenthood on a eugenic basis rather than a eugenic ideal.

nyt1925merge-abcl-eugenics1

mergeabclwitheugenicsThis letter, written by Sanger in June of 1928 and published in her Birth Control Review under the heading, “Shall the Birth Control Review be combined with a Eugenics Magazine?” Sanger details her meeting with American Eugenics Society representative, Leon Whitney, to merge her publication with that of the Eugenics Society in order to “reach[] a wider audience and cover[] a more extended field.” Whitney was the former executive secretary of the American Eugenics Society and Sanger willingly published his writings in her Birth Control Review.

woman-and-the-new-race-eugenics-publishing-company-margaret-sanger2Some of Sanger’s writings, listed below, were even published by the eugenics movement (Source: Margaret Sanger, Pioneer of Birth Control, by Lawrence Lader and Milton Meltzer):

• What Every Mother Should Know, originally published by the Eugenics Publishing Co. in 1916
• What Every Girl Should Know, originally published by the Eugenics Publishing Co. in 1922

Planned Parenthood promoters try to convince the public that Sanger — a member of the American Eugenics Society who, by the way, also advocated for euthanasia — was simply a product of her day. But the facts paint a much different picture. Despite the evidence, Planned Parenthood’s supporters are working overtime to gloss over their founder’s beliefs.

Planned Parenthood Board Member Max Michael

Planned Parenthood Board Member Max Michael

In an op-ed praising abortion giant Planned Parenthood’s work as “health care equity,” Max Michael, MD, a member of the Planned Parenthood Southeast Board of Director, recently wrote:

Like many great organizations, Planned Parenthood is not without its flaws. While Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, was a woman of tremendous achievement, she was also a flawed and imperfect leader. She devoted her life to enabling women to have control over when and whether to have children, yet she also had beliefs, practices, and associations that Planned Parenthood acknowledges, denounces and works to redress.

Michael’s words coincidentally seem to mirror Planned Parenthood’s published talking points.

Planned Parenthood proudly calls Sanger a “reproductive rights trailblazer,” “woman of heroic accomplishments,” and “a true visionary,” while at the same time claiming to denounce her views, even giving Sanger a pass for speaking to the Klu Klux Klan, writing:

However, it is true that Margaret Sanger made a speech on birth control to a women’s auxiliary branch of the Ku Klux Klan in Silver Lake, New Jersey, in 1926. Sanger’s passion to spread and mainstream birth control led her to speak to any group interested in learning how to plan their reproduction. Planned Parenthood strongly disagrees with Sanger’s decision to address an organization that spreads hatred (Sanger, 1938, 366).

Planned Parenthood praises Margaret Sanger, 2008

Planned Parenthood praises Margaret Sanger, 2008

Planned Parenthood leaves out the fact that Sanger was encouraged by the results of her speech to the Klan, saying, “In the end, through simple illustrations I believe I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered.”

As the public learns the truth about Sanger’s beliefs, they tend to become less supportive of Planned Parenthood’s mission. It is this reality that likely prompted an unusual response from a Planned Parenthood spokesperson in 2011, after a member of the Humanist Community Forum in California asked her how she would respond to statements that Margaret Sanger was “such a racist.”

Guadalupe Rodriguez, Director of Public Affairs for Planned Parenthood Mar Monte in Silicon Valley, Alameda and San Mateo Counties, answered (watch the exchange at 37:44):

What we say is that she did make these statements – they were wrong then and they’re wrong now. We’re not standing by anything that she said–we’re not standing by her beliefs. We are a vastly different organization now than we were when she first started the group. We’ve evolved…. What we say is her statements and her beliefs were wrong then and they’re wrong now and we don’t stand with her – we are a different organization.

Planned Parenthood has a strange way of “denouncing” and “disagreeing” and not “standing by” Sanger’s beliefs — they named their most prestigious award after her. Sadly, even though Sanger’s beliefs were despicable, many journalists and politicians alike have accepted the infamous Margaret Sanger Award without hesitation.

Planned Parenthood’s doublespeak regarding Sanger is troubling, to say the least. The organization has called her one of the “greatest heroines,” while simultaneously denouncing her eugenic efforts. Privately, they acknowledge that Sanger’s vision was the foundation of Planned Parenthood’s mission. A 2008 Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains annual report says of Sanger, “Sanger’s early efforts remain the hallmark of Planned Parenthood’s mission.”

She Walked into Planned Parenthood Yesterday, but She Didn’t Walk Out

Annapolis, MD – She walked into a Planned Parenthood abortion facility yesterday morning, but she didn’t walk out.

An ambulance was called on the morning of Tuesday, October 4, 2016, for a hemorrhaging patient at the Planned Parenthood clinic in Annapolis, Maryland.

Local pro-life activist Pamela Palumbo provided Operation Rescue with photos and video within minutes of the incident that showed female patient being removed from the abortion facility on a gurney. She was then transported to a nearby hospital.

A radio traffic recording made by Anne Arundel County Police, Fire and EMS was immediately obtained by Operation Rescue.

The recording revealed that units, including an ambulance, were dispatched to Planned Parenthood, located in the Mason Building on West Street in Annapolis at about 11:08 a.m. in response to a hemorrhage.

This is the second documented medical emergency at the Annapolis Planned Parenthood this year. Another woman was transported to the hospital on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. The injuries suffered by that patient are unknown due to heavily redacted 911 records.

On February 19, 2013, the Annapolis Planned Parenthood failed its initial licensing inspection after an inspector documented improper sterilization of surgical instruments in a leaky sterilization machine. The facility was granted a license anyway.

Inspectors did not return to Planned Parenthood for nearly 2½ years. In July, 2015, the facility was found by some stroke of luck to be in compliance with Surgical Abortion Facility requirements.

“I have seen so many pictures of ambulances at abortion clinics that I lost track long ago,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “It is time for regulators to take their jobs more seriously and protect the public from being injured, maimed, and even killed at American abortion facilities, as we have seen happen all too often. Right now, women are fodder for exploitation and harm by unscrupulous, profit-centered abortion businesses. Enough is enough!”

Planned Parenthood: Abortion pills and cold pills no difference – huh?

Posted in Abortion pill, Abortion Profits, Abortionist, Planned Parenthood abortion description, Planned Parenthood abortionist, Planned Parenthood Employee with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on April 13, 2016 by saynsumthn

A Planned Parenthood letter claims that taking the abortion pill which kills a preborn child in the womb is no different than taking an cold pill. The 2013 letter is from Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California to the California Building Standards Commission challenging building code changes that would have affected abortion facilities under California’s Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD).

Abortion Pill Cold Pill Planned Parenthood

According to the Planned Parenthood letter, OSHPD refused to include within the new mechanical and plumbing changes for medical facilities an exemption for primary care clinics that perform abortions where, “the treatment room is sized as an examination room.” In their letter, Planned Parenthood claimed that it would cost $2 million dollars to renovate each facility to a primary care center. In addition, the plumbing and mechanical changes proposed under the OSHPD would have cost Planned Parenthood $317,000 to provide abortion services. Planned Parenthood wanted to keep an exemption to the standards to remain as they were after abortion was made legal, claiming the, “differentiation between primary care clinics that offer early abortion services and those that do not is anachronistic and provides no basis for requiring heightened building standards.”

The largest chain of abortion clinics in the nation wanted to be sure that they could continue to build abortion facilities across the state so they could continue to serve “much needed health care services” like abortion to “low income populations.”

Excerpt of Planned Parenthood letter to OSHPD

Excerpt of Planned Parenthood letter to OSHPD

Their argument was that there the new standards would not have affected abortion risks which they claimed were minimal, writing,

“When performed by trained clinicians, early abortions are safe and common, posing less risk of infection than many other procedures performed in primary care clinics eligible for the OSHPD 3SE classification. For medication abortions, there is no difference between taking a pill for a cold or taking one to induce an abortion. For aspiration abortions, the risk of infection is no different than the risk of insertion of a intrauterine device for an endometrial biopsy…”

Abortion Pill Cold Pill Planned Parenthood

The idea that taking an abortion pill is paramount to taking a cold pill is ludicrous. As many articles with this publication has shown there are serious ramifications to both surgical as well as medical abortion. And, when these complications occur, it is the woman, not Planned Parenthood who is left paying the bill (see documents here). Letters from women or relatives of abortion pill users submitted to Medical News Today online testify to a host of complications that occur from the abortion pill, including death.

As Saynsumthn has reported before, Planned Parenthood likes to pith their abortion services as “safe and simple” but one look at a consent form they require women to sign you see the real truth. Missed abortion, blood clots, infection and even death are among the possible risks associated with medication abortion.

Image from Planned Parenthood medication abortion consent form on abortion pill

Image from Planned Parenthood medication abortion consent form on abortion pill

But the most disturbing part is that the purpose of an abortion pill is to end the life of a living preborn child in the womb and cannot possibly be compared to taking a pill for a cold but that does not matter to Planned Parenthood whose physicians submitted letters to stop the new regulations. Virginia Siegfried, MD medical director of Planned Parenthood of Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo Counties said in her letter that their Planned Parenthood center performed 1800 surgical procedures a year. Jeff Waldman, MD also wrote to the OSHPD. He served as Medical Director of Planned Parenthood Shasta Pacific. In addition to being an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, Waldman was appointed as the Senior Director of Clinical Services and Medical Education for Planned Parenthood Federal of America (PPFA) in 2006.

Some of the “doctors” who signed onto this notion that abortion pills are like cold pills work for Planned Parenthood centers that profit off the parts of the babies they abort. A letter was submitted by Richard L Fischer, MD who said he was the Associate Medical Director and Physician Director of Abortion Services for the “largest Planned Parenthood Affiliate in the country.” Fischer also teaches “abortion services” at the San Francisco General Hospital. Fischer performed abortions at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte featured in the Center for Medical Progress’ (CMP) undercover videos. It was at their San Jose location that former tissue procurement technician, Holly O’Donnell described the harvesting, or “procurement,” of organs from a nearly intact late-term fetus.

Jennifer Russo, MD who earns nearly $300,000 annually as a Planned Parenthood abortionist and performs abortions up to 24 weeks as Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of Orange & San Bernardino Counties also wrote about to the OSHPD. In her letter, Russo stated that she was the Health Sciences Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Irvine. In video obtained by CMP, Russo confirmed that her Planned Parenthood affiliate worked with the for-profit biotech company, DaVinci Biosciences, to harvest the organs of aborted fetuses to sell nationally and internationally.

Dr. Mary Gatter of Planned Parenthood

Dr. Mary Gatter of Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Medical Directors’ Council President, Dr. Mary Gatter, caught haggling over baby parts was heard on video telling investigators from the Center for Medical Progress that she wanted a Lamborghini. The infamous Mary Gatter claimed in her letter on the California Building Standards that abortion pill complications were in part the fault of the patient writing,

“infection rates related to abortions, which are already quite low are associated with preexisting patient conditions (such as having an STD or being immuno-compromised) or to poor surgical technique…”

Mary Gatter Abortion Risks Planned Parenthood.

According to studies, about 5-8 out of 100 women (5-8%) may need a surgical procedure to complete the abortion or to stop too much bleeding after they take the abortion pill. Despite Planned Parenthood’s allusions that abortion pills are like cold pills, women are often hospitalized from abortion pill complications. Risks associated from the abortion pill can be found at AbortionProcedures.com which states that:

Eight percent of women (1 in 12) bleed more than 30 days, and 1 percent require hospitalization because of heavy bleeding.

At AbortionProcedures.com , former abortionist Dr. Anthony Levatino explains what happens during a chemical abortion using abortion pills:

Planned Parenthood accounts for 2/3 of all medical emergencies documented by pro-lifers at abortion clinics

Operation Rescue says that Planned Parenthood accounts for two-thirds of all medical emergencies documented by pro-lifers outside abortion clinics.

The group made the statement in response to a 3rd emergency call to a PP clinic in Washington State.

Planned Parenthood spokane 911 Oct 2015

The 911 call was placed by Planned Parenthood in Spokane on September 16, 2015 for a patient suffering from a “uterine perforation.” The audio was obtained by the pro-life group Operation Rescue, which documents emergencies to abortion clinics nationwide.

Although the Planned Parenthood caller does not state the perforation was due to a botched abortion, Cheryl Sullenger Operation Rescue’s, senior Vice President said that uterine perforations generally occur when the sharp abortion suction cannula, which is used to dismember the baby, is thrust too deep into the uterus, causing a hole torn in the woman’s womb.

The Spokane center is operated by Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho (PPGWNI)whose medical director is Denise Bayuszik, MD., according to her LinkedIn page. A 2014 990 from PPGWNI shows that a Dr. Charlie Browne also works for the affiliate although it does not state which centers he operates in.

Planned Parenthood has been the center of scrutiny following revelations from the Center for Medical Progress that the tax funded organization is illegally selling the organs of babies they harvest during their abortions. As a result of the horrific revelations, Planned Parenthood’s president, Cecile Richards, who previously called their services, “high-quality reproductive health care,” was summoned to testify before Congress during hearings to decide whether they should remain federally funded to the tune of $528 million dollars annually.

Previous 911 calls from the Washington State Planned Parenthood and documented by pro-lifers, includes one in January where a pro-life side walk counselor testified that employees laughed as the patient was loaded into the ambulance. And, a 911 recording in March indicated Planned Parenthood was unable to get the bleeding stopped in a patient, prompting the abortion business to call an ambulance to rush her to the hospital.

Sullenger said that Planned Parenthood emergencies account for two-thirds of the medical emergencies Operation Rescue has documented at abortion clinics, including ten at the Houston Planned Parenthood mega-center featured in one of the most horrific baby parts harvesting videos released by the Center for Medical Progress.

So far this year we’ve found that almost two-thirds of the medical emergencies that we have documented at abortion clinics across the country take place at Planned Parenthood facilities,” Sullenger told OneNewsNow.

Planned-Parenthood---Houston jpg

According to the Operation Rescue, the Houston emergency was documented by Houston Coalition for Life, and is the tenth ambulance to be seen at the megacenter since the beginning of the year.

From their report:

The abortion-related medical emergency took place on August 4, 2015. In an audio recording of the 911 call obtained by Operation Rescue through a Freedom of Information Act request, the Planned Parenthood caller identified herself as “Tram.”

This is Tram Nguyen, who is the Director of the Ambulatory Surgery Center, Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, in Houston, Texas. Nguyen is featured in the Center for Medical Progress video released on August 4, 2015 – ironically the same day as the botched abortion – titled “Intact Fetuses ‘Just a Matter of Line Items’ for Planned Parenthood TX Mega-Center.”

During the emergency call placed by Nguyen, she explained to the 911 dispatcher the condition of the patient.

We have a patient who just had a medical procedure and she’s experiencing bleeding and needs to be transported to Ben Taub per our physician orders,” she said. “She has I.V. access so we need an ACLS-equipped ambulance, please.”

More on that here.

To further expose the evil that is Planned Parenthood, on Saturday, October 10th, pro-lifers gathered outside Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide to call for the defunding and closing of the abortion business. The #ProtestPP involved demonstrations outside facilities in every state and as well as various other abortion clinics in three different countries.

Is Planned Parenthood ashamed that they provide abortions?

Posted in Planned Parenthood runs from abortion, Planned Parenthood three percent myth with tags , , , , , , , , , , on October 28, 2014 by saynsumthn

A Planned Parenthood affiliate has uploaded a marketing tool which completely leaves out the fact that they provide abortions.

As the nation’s top abortion provider, Planned Parenthood seems to be running away from abortion. They are targeting the general public trying to convince them that they provide “services” that will save lives. The only problem is that no matter what else they do- they kill babies for a living.

PPMM voices of patients

In a video, recently released by Planned Parenthood Mar Monte they once again try and market themselves as a place that provides mammograms. However- if you listen closely to the patient in this video you will hear what pro-lifers have been exposing for years – that they only refer for mammograms:

In this “Voices of our patients” video produced by Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, teacher Doreen Silva explains her visit to the center and tragically how she discovered that she had cancer.

Doreen Silva Teacher PP

She states, “So, after I got the referral from the clinician at Planned Parenthood, I was referred over to the breast center, and they gave me a mammogram, and I was at the hair salon with both my aunt and my mom and we were leaving in the car when we got the phone call and the doctor told me that I had a malignant tumor.”

Stephanie Canales

In a huge over stretch, Stephanie Canales credits the abortion giant with being able to finish college, “If it weren’t for Planned Parenthood, I wouldn’t have been able to afford contraception the first years of college and I wouldn’t have been able to finish my bachelors successfully.”

I have to ask here- how did Planned Parenthood help an intelligent woman finish college? By giving her a discount on birth control? Really? Is this where the new Women’s Empowerment movement is going – to – credit free birth control for all their successes?

Rene Galvan-Macleod PPMM

The PPMM center manager, Rene Galvan-Macleod claims they are extremely diverse stating that their yougest patient is about 2 days old and their oldest is 92 years old.

Galvan-Macleod helps promote the image of Planned Parenthood as a “good place” when he goes on to state, “I was very ignorant to what services Planned Parenthood provided. I walked into a room where there were young babies, there were pregnant women, there were men in their forties and fifties, it was an extremely diverse group which made me feel almost immediately comfortable with.”

I wonder if Mr. Galvan-Macleod will also describe their abortion patients and what he sees in that “experience”- I doubt it!

The video continues with stories of Planned Parenthood rescuing an incarcerated gang-banger to helping a teen through a painful period, a man with an STD, and a woman with a troubled pregnancy. On the surface, these things look noble, but there is one fact Planned Parenthood conveniently leaves out and that is that they also provide abortions.

PPMM Screen

Despite the testimonies on the video, the truth is that Planned Parenthood Mar Monte kills unborn babies. No matter how many testimonies they release you cannot whitewash the blood that is on their hands.

According to their Annual Report, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte killed 18,169 babies with abortions in 2014.

PPMM 2014 Abortions

The stated mission of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte is to, “ensure that every individual has the knowledge, opportunity, and freedom to make every child a wanted child and every family a healthy family.”

PPMM Mission2607e75

On their website, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte describes what they “provide”, let’s review this list and compare it to their marketing video:
birth control
pregnancy testing and options counseling
STD testing and treatment
HIV testing
breast and cervical cancer screening
abortion
prenatal care
pediatrics and adult primary health care.”

Strange, how in this video Planned Parenthood left ABORTION out!

The above video is entitled “The 97% – Voices of our Patients – Planned Parenthood Mar Monte” – because the abortion giant wants you to believe that abortion is only 3% of their “services!”

But a new video from Students for Life dispels this 3% myth:

Planned Parenthood Keystone had a novel excuse for failing to report the ambulance transfer of a patient to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, as required by law.

plannedparenthoodoffice8 Orange CA 2009 (1)

When DOH inspected Planned Parenthood Keystone’s Allentown abortion clinic on February 27, 2014, it was surprised to learn a patient had begun hemorrhaging after her abortion on March 15, 2013, and taken to the hospital by ambulance.

This was a surprising because DOH is supposed to get a report from any medical facility within 24 hours after such an occurrence, and it didn’t in this case.

Planned Parenthood’s excuse?

Its Patient Safety Officer and Associate Medical Director “determined that this event did not constitute a serious event or incident…. Abnormal bleeding after a surgical abortion is not unusual nor is it unanticipated,” quoting from the report.

PP Allentown Keystone

The Health Department report reads: the patient presented to the facility on March 15, 2013, for an elective in-clinic abortion. CF1 performed internal suction and documented no products of conception were found. CF1 requested an ultrasound be performed. Further review revealed CF1 documented the patient’s uterus was empty. CF1 completed a second internal suction of the patient’s uterus. CF1 documented no products of conception were found and requested a second ultrasound be performed. CF1 documented no products of conception were found. Continued review of MR6 revealed the patient began with excessive bleeding with noticeable large clots. CF1 instructed CF2 to administer Methergine (medication used to manage hemorrhage) 0.2 milligrams (mg) intramuscularly (IM). The patient’s excessive bleeding continued and CF1 instructed EMP3 to call 911 to request ambulance transport of MR6 to the hospital’s emergency department (ED).

Interview with EMP2 and EMP3 on February 27, 2014, at approximately 2:00 PM confirmed CF1 performed internal suction two times on MR6, and each time there were no products of
conception found. Continued interview confirmed the patient had excessive bleeding, was given Methergine, and transferred to the hospital ED for excessive bleeding following an in-clinic abortion.

A request was made of EMP1 and EMP2 on February 27, 2014, for the facility’s internal investigation and the facility’s report of MR6’s transfer from the facility to an acute care hospital emergency department. No investigation or facility report to the Department or Patient Safety Authority were provided. Phone interview with EMP1 on February 27, 2014, at approximately 2:15 PM revealed if the facility did submit this occurrence, it would have been submitted as an incident and not a serious event.”
