Baltimore Wilmington PPTwo former nurses from a Planned Parenthood in Baltimore who both quit spoke with a local news station about what they saw inside.

PP Baltimore Jane Mitchel W

Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich, former employee said, “It was just unsafe. I couldn’t tell you how ridiculously unsafe it was.”

Werbrich alleges conditions inside the facility were unsanitary. “He didn’t wear gloves,” said Werbrich.

Who is HE?? We do not know for sure, but records indicate the medical director for Planned Parenthood is Eric Schaff:

EricSchaff

PPDE 2006

Medical Director Eric Schaff took home $100,000 in 2006 ( here)

In 1997, Dr. Schaff was trained by Planned Parenthood of New York City in surgical abortion. “I felt inadequate because I had to rely on other physicians for medication abortion complications. Since I learned these surgical skills, I feel empowered as a clinician because I can provide complete reproductive healthcare.”

Apparently- this Planned Parenthood cannot find experienced abortionists, they have to request medical students !!

And in 2006, a woman sued Planned Parenthood after an abortion they performed landed her in the hospital with an ectopic pregnancy. The doctor on record at that time was GAILYN B. THOMAS, M.D Read here.

Another former employee, Joyce Vasikonis told Action News, “They were using instruments on patients that were not sterile.” The former nurses claim that a rush to get patients in and out left operating tables soiled and unclean.

Werbrich said “It’s not washed down, it’s not even cleaned off. It has bloody drainage on it.”

“They could be at risk of getting hepatitis, even AIDS,” added Vasikonis. Both of these nurses said, they quit to protect their own medical licenses, stunned by what they called a meat-market style of assembly-line abortions.

Vasikonis said, “I felt I could be held liable if a patient was harmed.”

Planned Parenthood needs to close its doors, it’s needs to be cleaned up, the staff needs to be trained, said Werbrich.”

According to the news station, Since January 4th, five patients allegedly have been rushed from the facility to the emergency room, again placing the clinic in the spotlight.

Pro-lifers have documented several of those incidents:

Planned Parenthood Delaware2013In February of 2013, a woman was taken by stretcher out the back of Planned Parenthood in Wilmington to a local emergency medical center following a botched abortion. She was loaded into a St. Francis Hospital ambulance, according to Rae Stabosz of Newark, Delaware…It was the third such event witnessed by pro-lifers in a two-year period.

Operation Rescue has published newly obtained 911 recordings of two medical emergencies at Planned Parenthood in Wilmington, Delaware, which took place on February 8, and 16, 2013.

In both cases, patients were transported to a local hospital with abortion complications that could not be managed by abortionists and nurses who attended the women at the clinic.

The 911 recordings were obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests made by a participant in a local 40 Days for Life campaign with the assistance of Operation Rescue. While prayer vigil participants were present for the incident on the 16th, they were unaware that another medical emergency had taken place at that same Planned Parenthood abortion clinic just 8 days earlier until they received the open records files.

“The 911 recordings are important because they expose the inconvenient truth that abortion isn’t as safe as the abortion cartel would have you believe,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue and Pro-Life Nation. “Women are maimed and killed by shoddy abortionists on a regular basis, but it is covered up by the clinics, the abortion lobby, and the media. Public records tear way the curtains of secrecy that enables abortionists to abuse women. This helps us warn the public and hold abortionists accountable for their actions.”

Patient 1 –February 8, 2013

February 8, 2013, Planned Parenthood called 911 at 1:30 p.m. to ask for assistance for a patient that was unconscious and struggling to breathe. Despite the presence of two physicians and three nurses, her condition still required emergency assistance from paramedics.

The caller indicated that they were using an emergency non rebreather on the patient, which is a mask with a flat bag that used in emergency situations to provide oxygen to the patient.

However, the non rebreather seemed inadequate, because the caller told the dispatcher that they were “getting ready to bag” the patient. “Bagging” a patient is done with a hand-held device used to provide positive pressure ventilation to a patient who is not breathing or who is breathing inadequately. It is an emergency resuscitative measure.

Paramedics and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene. The outcome of this patient’s medical emergency is unknown.

Patient 2 – February 16, 2013

A second medical emergency at Planned Parenthood in Wilmington, which was witnessed by pro-life activists, took place on February 16. Video was taken by Rae Stabosz during a 40 Days for Life prayer vigil that shows a woman on a gurney with a possible IV bag containing plasma or other blood products.

The partially-redacted 911 recording confirmed that the patient suffered heavy bleeding. The Planned Parenthood employee that placed the call opted for response by paramedics instead of a simple ambulance transfer, indicating that the patient needed emergency care.

She was rushed to St. Francis Hospital for emergency treatment.

These incidents comprise the third and fourth medical emergencies observed or documented by prayer vigil participants at Planned Parenthood in Wilmington over a two-year period.

“We wonder – how often does it happen when we are not there?” asked Stabosz.

PlannedParenthoodWilmingtonAmbulanceMarch 13 2013 In March of 2013 a woman told protesters her daughter was bleeding from an incomplete abortion which Planned Parenthood had performed on her days earlier was taken to the emergency room. Then, at approximately 1:00PM witnesses documented an ambulance arriving at the same Planned Parenthood, and removing another patient.

Proabort Attack March 2013Pro-Abort Woman Attacks

According to Operation Rescue, A 63-year old Catholic grandmother of 12 was violently attacked outside this Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Wilmington, Delaware, as she filmed the fourth abortion injury there in less than five weeks.

According to reports, Rae Stabosz had been praying outside the Planned Parenthood clinic when a woman and her mother came to the clinic. Rae learned that the woman was suffering complications to an abortion she received on March 8. Rae persuaded them to go to St. Francis hospital where it was discovered that aborted baby body parts, including a leg and foot, had been left behind by the abortionist. The woman required additional surgery and was referred to legal counsel.

Rae left Planned Parenthood to attend mass, and when she returned to the Planned Parenthood, she was shocked to see that yet another medical emergency was in progress. As she was filming the incident with her cell phone, a young woman came out of the Planned Parenthood clinic and violently attacked Rae, knocking her down and taking away her phone.

The attacker took Rae’s phone inside the clinic and gave it to a Planned Parenthood worker. Rae immediately ran into the clinic, retrieved her phone, then returned to the street where she continued to film the gurney with the injured patient, covered head to toe in blankets and sheets, being loaded into the ambulance.

The police soon arrived and Rae made a police report, but the attacker has fled the scene. At this writing, she remained at large.

Rae began to feel the effects of the attack, and another ambulance was summoned to transport her to the same hospital where the two Planned Parenthood patients were receiving treatment. Rae was treated and released with minor injuries.

Action News has learned during our investigation that one doctor and two more nurses at the clinic have mysteriously left.

Planned Parenthood of the Columbia-Willamette has been searching for a new CEO for several months, ever since conflict over a new contract with the Service Employees International Union led to the departure of former CEO David Greenberg from his $196,000-a-year post.

David Pyle, Sarah Newhall and Namita Wiggers

Sarah Newhall served as Planned Parenthood’s interim CEO

WW has learned that the search is down to two finalists—an internal candidate from a Planned Parenthood chapter in Florida, —Judy Peppler.

Peppler left her recent position with CenturyLink bought Qwest in 2011; she enrolled in the Broad Academy, a program started by California billionaire Eli Broad that prepares corporate leaders for positions in public education. After finishing the academy, Peppler became the chief transformation officer in the Wake County, N.C., school district, which serves nearly 150,000 students, about three times the number in Portland Public Schools.

Peppler left that job in October, according to news reports, after the school board fired the superintendent who’d hired her 13 months earlier.

Peppler was a registered Republican. She was also a fundraiser for GOP presidential candidate John McCain in 2008 and Oregon GOP gubernatorial candidate Chris Dudley in 2010.

That past, and in particular an incident during the Dudley campaign, has some local Planned Parenthood supporters questioning whether she’s the right person for the job.

According to a 2010, report,

David Greenberg, the Former CEO Earned $196,000-a-year

Stephen Reichard earns $107,411 as the Chief Operating Officer

Lenice Shaw earns $97,754 as Chief Financial Officer

Adrienne Karecki Fomer Chief Operating Officer took home $116,829

Dean Roberts , Former CFO, took home $84,972 , Nadikerianda Ponnamma $75,765, Judith Albert $93,107, Cathryn Wilcox $90,309, Lynn Hayden $75,292, Linda Bryant $91,947, Marcella Forbes took home $63,895

Former Planned Parenthood Staff

In 2008, a former employee and abortionist for Planned Parenthood of the Columbia-Willamette in Oregon by the name of Dr. GEORGE ELLIOTT KABACY, M.D., was sentenced to 6 1/2 years in prison for possession of child pornography. He was not practicing at the Planned Parenthood at the time of his arrest.

Dr. George Elliott Kabacy was actively practicing as an OBGYN in Washington State at the time of his arrest in December 2006.

At the sentencing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Vince Lombardi said Kabacy “traded pictures of children being subjected to rape and degradation.”

Kabacy admitted in his plea agreement that he knowingly possessed more than 8,000 images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Kabacy also admits to possessing videos of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, both on his computer and on 36 compact disks. Some of the images depict children under the age of 12, authorities said.

Kabacy admitted that he communicated with other people over the Internet, expressing his interest in having sex with minors and exchanging more than 40 images of child pornography with those other people over the Internet.

He first came to the attention of the FBI after the arrest of an Atlanta man who indicated he had communicated with Kabacy.

The man alleged that Kabacy had sent him a computer in exchange for the man’s promise that he would send Kabacy pornographic pictures of his grandchildren.

Kabacy moved to Washington state and worked until his arrest at Sound Choice Health Center in Olympia. He ceased practicing when he was indicted .

Supreme Court of Ohio – Oral Argument Previews

Court Asked To Order Disclosure of Medical Records of Minors Who Obtained Abortions
John and June Roe, Individually and as parents and next friends of Jane Roe, a minor v. Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio Region, Roslyn Kade, M.D., and John Does 1-6, Case no. 2007-1832
1st District Court of Appeals (Hamilton County)
ISSUE: In pursuing a civil lawsuit against a clinic for allegedly failing to obtain parental consent before performing an abortion on a 14-year-old girl and allegedly failing to report known or suspected sexual abuse of a minor to police or a children’s services agency, are the parents of the girl entitled to compel the clinic to provide them with the medical records of all minors who obtained abortions through the clinic during the previous 10 years, with information identifying the patients redacted?
BACKGROUND: This case involves Jane Roe of Cincinnati, a 14 year old who obtained an abortion from Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio in March 2004. In subsequent legal filings, Planned Parenthood has stated that Jane told its medical staff she had been impregnated by a school classmate and that her parents knew and approved of her plan to obtain an abortion. The clinic also stated that when its representative called the phone number provided by Jane, an adult male who identified himself as Jane’s father answered and confirmed that he knew about and consented to the procedure.
Within weeks after the procedure was performed, a police investigation revealed that Jane had been sexually abused and impregnated by her 21-year-old soccer coach, John Haller; that the phone number provided to Planned Parenthood by Jane had been Haller’s number rather than that of her parents; and that the man the clinic had notified and from whom it had obtained consent for the abortion was Haller, not Jane’s father. Haller was later convicted on seven counts of sexual battery.
Jane’s parents subsequently filed a civil suit on their own behalf and on behalf of Jane seeking compensatory and punitive damages from Planned Parenthood and the physician who performed the abortion. The suit alleged that Planned Parenthood and the doctor intentionally breached their legal duties to: (1) notify Jane’s parents and obtain their consent before performing the abortion; (2) provide Jane with all the information required by law before obtaining her consent to the procedure; and (3) notify police or a child services agency of a known or suspected case of sexual abuse of a minor. In seeking punitive damages from the clinic and doctor, the Roes alleged that the intentional breaches of legal duties in the clinic’s handling of Jane’s case were part of a “pattern or practice” of similar breaches in other cases.
During pretrial proceedings, the Roes filed a discovery motion demanding that Planned Parenthood provide them with copies of all medical records and sexual abuse reports in its files for every minor who had sought an abortion from the clinic in the preceding 10 years. When the clinic refused to comply, the Roes sought and were granted an order of the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas ordering the clinic to produce the requested records, with all information disclosing the identity of the other patients redacted (blacked out) from the records. Planned Parenthood appealed the trial court’s discovery order to the 1st District Court of Appeals, which reversed the trial court and invalidated the discovery order for the other patients’ records.
The Roes now ask the Supreme Court to reinstate the trial court’s discovery order. They argue that:
• The court of appeals erred by reviewing the trial court’s order under a de novo rather than a much more deferential abuse-of-discretion standard of review. They assert that trial courts have wide discretion to determine whether and when discovery of requested documents is necessary for a plaintiff to establish his claims, and claim that the court of appeals improperly substituted its judgment for that of the trial court by duplicating a balancing test between the Roes’ need for the requested medical records and the confidentiality rights of the clinic’s other patients, especially in light of the fact that all identifying information from the patient records was to be rendered unreadable prior to disclosure.
• The Roes assert that under R.C. 2151.421, the state law requiring certain professionals to disclose known or suspected child abuse to police or child welfare authorities, a proven claim that the clinic systematically failed to report sexual abuse in this case and other patient’s cases would entitle them to punitive damages, and that they need access to the medical records and abuse reports of other minor patients in order to substantiate that pattern of wrongful conduct.
• They also argue that a state law barring the use of sexual abuse reports in lawsuits against the party filing such reports does not bar them from accessing sex abuse reports filed by Planned Parenthood regarding other abortion patients, because the Roes are not suing the clinic for filing those reports, but rather for its failure to file a report in Jane’s case and other similar cases.
Attorneys for Planned Parenthood respond that:
• The court of appeals properly employed a de novo standard of review in overturning the trial court’s discovery order because the clinic’s appeal was based on a question of law (the privileged status of patient medical records) rather than a question of fact for which a trial court’s discovery rulings are reviewed on an abuse-of-discretion standard.
• They contend that because R.C. 2151.421 created a statutory cause of action that did not exist at common law before the 1851 state constitution was adopted, and the legislature did not expressly state in the statute that violations entitle a plaintiff to punitive damages, plaintiffs suing under the statute are limited to seeking only compensatory damages. In the absence of a right to seek punitive damages for a “pattern or practice” of breaches, they add, the trial court erred in finding that there was a “need” for the Roes to examine the privileged medical records of any patient other than Jane in order to prove their claim that the clinic breached its duties in handling Jane’s case.
• Planned Parenthood also argues that R.C. 2151.421(H)(1) expressly prohibits disclosure to the Roes of information from child sexual abuse reports that the clinic filed regarding any of its other patients, and specifically bars the Roes from using information from such reports “as evidence in any civil action or proceeding brought against the person who made the report.”
