The “Father of Abortion Rights,” Larry Lader, held eugenic beliefs inspired by Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger — but on abortion, they parted ways, with Lader being extremely in favor of abortion. Lader and his colleague Bernard Nathanson were the two men most instrumental in pushing the 1960’s women’s movement towards abortion.

The reason we know this information, says “Subverted” author Sue Ellen Browder, is because Nathanson, an abortionist who later converted to the pro-life cause, had stories to tell.

Image: Larry Lader and Bernard Nathanson. Both men worked against the feminist pro-life movement to push abortion on women.

Larry Lader and Bernard Nathanson — two men behind the 1960s abortion push in the U.S.

Browder told Live Action president Lila Rose in an interview, “These two men, Larry Lader and Bernard Nathanson, had founded this organization [NARAL] and… Lader knew Betty Friedan very well. They were magazine writers together in New York. Larry Lader had graduated from Harvard University. He was fairly independently wealthy… and his greatest passion was to make abortion legal. And he worked on Betty Friedan for years to try to convince her to insert abortion into her list of demands [within the National Organization for Women (NOW)]….”

“We would never had known it was Lader who at last persuaded Betty to insert abortion into NOW’s package of ‘women’s rights’ if it weren’t for the written testimony of a third party who eye-witnessed events as they unfolded behind the scenes,” Browder wrote in her book. That eyewitness was Nathanson.

“If we’re going to move abortion out of the books and into the streets, we’re going to have to recruit the feminists,” Browder quotes Lader as suggesting.

“Friedan has got to put her troops into this thing – while she still has control of them,” Lader stated.

Friedan, Browder notes, had agreed to write a foreword in the jacket of Lader’s book. “He wrote a book on abortion and it was full of half truths, selective truths and truths out of context. But it was trying to prove to women that they need abortion to be free,” Browder stated. “And Betty Friedan bought it. She gave him a wonderful blurb on the back cover saying what a wonderful book this was. So, she now agreed with him.”

Lader wanted to “unleash the fury of women”

Nathanson, who reluctantly agreed to work with Lader in 1967 to convince Friedan’s feminists to support an abortion plank, once admitted, “Larry’s marriage with the feminists was a brilliant tactic.” But Nathanson later regretted the decision.

“In short I found, to my surprise, that I had been subtly dragooned into planning political strategy with Lader,” Nathanson wrote regretfully in his book, “The Hand of God.” Nathanson called himself and Lader “radicals,” writing, “We would settle for nothing less than striking down all existing statutes and substituting abortion on demand.”

The scheme was simple. In “Abortion,” Lader placed the responsibility on women to pronounce abortion as a freedom:

Women themselves must bear the special responsibility of rallying opinion behind reform, standing up and making their demands for justice known throughout the country. Nothing is stronger than the moral power of an idea once it has come of age. And the moral power of legalized abortion will surely prevail when women have directed their anger against the superstitions of centuries, and cried out for the final freedom of procreative choice.

In “Abortion II,” Lader prophetically concluded that to legalize abortion, women would need “to stand before television cameras and describe their own abortions to the public…. It needed brawling women, shouting defiance of the law….” Lader then took credit for convincing women to join, writing, “It took only a few of us in 1966 – the early fanatics – to break the silence and unleash the fury of women. Once the National Organization for Women and Women’s Liberation groups joined the abortion movement, we were ready to shake the country.”

“Significantly, even Friedan, one of the most impressive militants of her time, avoided the abortion issue at first,” Lader recounted in the same book. He wrote, “[W]hile she was writing Mystique, I occasionally suggested that all feminist demands hinged on contraception and abortion and a woman’s control over her own body and procreation. Yet, her book hardly touched this fundamental problem and mentioned Margaret Sanger only peripherally….”

“The breakthrough came slowly,” Lader wrote. “In June 1966, at a meeting of the Commissions on the Status of Women in Washington, Friedan emerged from the status of woman to activist,” Lader said, recounting how Friedan founded NOW. “Although pounding away at the abortion issue in her lectures, she still hesitated to force it into the NOW platform for fear of splitting off Catholics and conservative professionals.”

Then, in a 1966 news conference announcing Lader‘sbook, the LA Times recounted how reporters began using new rhetoric, calling abortion “a civil rights movement for women.”

One year later, in 1967, Lader would convince Friedan to add an abortion plank into NOW.

“Friedan has claimed that she did not start out consciously to start to a revolution,” Lader noted in his book “Ideas Triumphant.” But, he said, “This is not completely accurate. At the time she agreed to write a plug for my book jacket in 1965, we were discussing how to turn ideas into organizing. The founding of the National Organization for Women (NOW) in 1966 was pivotal.”

“By bringing NOW and eventually Women’s Lib into the abortion campaign, Friedan assured that the struggle for feminine liberation was solidly rooted in the one base that could turn theory into reality – a woman’s control over her own body and procreation,” Lader wrote in “Abortion II.”

Lader’s abortion obsession continued into the 1990’s when he pushed for the legalization of the abortion pill, RU486. In a 2000 press release, Lader bragged about his “plot” to break the law and smuggle the drug into the US.

He told an audience, “We have all sorts of little tricks; we’re tricky people. We smuggled some in from China through a doctor I knew coming in…. We then set up a very small lab… to make a small amount… and then we were very lucky; we found a very good manufacturer in the US and we have been with them ever since.”

Lader died in 2006 from colon cancer. He was 86.

Cosmo writer: Men pushed reluctant women’s movement to demand legal abortion

Posted in Bernard Nathanson, Cosmo Magazine, Feminism, Lader, Subverted, Women's Movement with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on January 16, 2019 by saynsumthn

Author Sue Ellen Browder once aligned with 1960’s pro-abortion feminism. As a former writer for Cosmopolitan Magazine, she was also complicit in promoting the sexual revolution, which she now believes reduced women to ambitious sex objects. After years of research, Browder concluded that her thinking was being manipulated by a propaganda machine which would unite two movements — the feminist movement and the sexual revolution — to push abortion. She compiled her findings in the captivating book, “Subverted: How I Helped the Sexual Revolution Hijack the Women’s Movement.”

Browder, who was trained as investigative journalist at the University of Missouri School of Journalism, spoke in an interview with Live Action founder Lila Rose:

“People don’t remember how bad it was for women”

“In 1963, that was the relaunch of the women’s movement in the 20th Century,” Browder told Rose. “People don’t remember how bad it was for women.”

Women entering the workforce were not treated equally, Browder said. “Women were fired for being pregnant…. Women in some states could not serve on a jury. A married woman could not get credit in her own name…. Women couldn’t go to college in some places…. Very few women were doctors or lawyers. Women were shut out of the professions. So, this was a time when women were very concerned about a lot of injustices and they were all pulling together to try to correct those.”

Arriving on the scene at that time were two women: Helen Gurley Brown — who took over Cosmopolitan Magazine hoping to morph it into a “Playboy” for women — and feminist Betty Freidan, who wrote “The Feminine Mystique,” a book which transformed the way women were viewed. “… [E]verybody went crazy and said, ‘yes, we agree with this [book],’” Browder said.

“By the time I got out of college it was 1968. I thought I could set the world on fire,” she told Rose. But Browder herself was fired after she became pregnant. “I was like, ‘What? What?’ Well, this women’s movement was obviously for me.”

“So, we… had the baby… and then moved back into New York City. And one of the first jobs I got… was at Cosmopolitan Magazine…. I was glamour struck.”

“The whole sexual revolution was made up of lies”

Browder told Rose that she later attended a conference where former NARAL founder Bernard Nathanson, who had since become pro-life, was speaking. “And he told us about all the lies that they had told to sell abortion to the American people. And then… I realized that if [Alfred] Kinsey had lied, and if the abortionists had lied, and if we at Cosmo were lying, then the whole sexual revolution was made up of… all lies. Then, we sold it to the American people through more and more lies – and through the women’s movement… the sexual revolution was sold to the world.”

Browder notes that, because women had been subjected to injustices, they became prime targets for one particular master propagandist skilled in the manipulation of public opinion. His name was Larry Lader, a journalist by trade who became an ardent voice in the fight to legalize abortion. He had been Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger’s biographer and had known Betty Friedan for many years.

“Larry Lader co-founded NARAL with Bernard Nathanson,” Browder said. “Lader… graduated from Harvard University and was fairly independently wealthy. [H]e worked on Betty Friedan for years to try to convince her to insert abortion into her list of demands….”

Image: Larry Lader and Bernard Nathanson

Larry Lader and Bernard Nathanson

Browder said that Lader “began to convince [Friedan] that [abortion] was something that women needed to be free.” Browder added that Friedan “was having problems on two fronts. She was losing control of the National Organization for Women and she was also trying to get her Bill of Rights passed through to Congress. She was creating a political Bill of Rights that would guide Congress for women….”

At a time when women were being fired for pregnancy, Lader convinced Friedan to add abortion to her feminist Bill of Rights “… so they can say to the businessmen, ‘don’t worry about it guys, she’s on the pill and if the pill fails she have an abortion. So, you’re fine – you can pass all these other rights….’”

Feminists eventually caved to the abortion lie, pushed by white, well-to-do men

The call to legalize abortion was not coming from women but primarily white, well-to-do men who had embraced the Hugh Hefner-style sexual revolution. Cosmopolitan editor Helen Gurley Brown enabled this by painting a deceptive image of a “Cosmo Girl” who had free sex, no kids, and earned plenty of money — an image NOW’s founder, Betty Friedan, originally denounced. “[Friedan] was fighting for equal respect and dignity and education in the workforce,” noted Browder.

“Helen Gurley Brown would have loved to have been part of the women’s movement, but feminist Betty Friedan called Cosmo quite obscene and quite horrible and even at one point called for a boycott of the magazine. [Friedan] never mentioned abortion or contraception in her ‘Feminine Mystique’…. In fact, Friedan had been fired herself for being pregnant…. She did not believe that abortion was a woman’s ‘right’….”

But, as Browder details in “Subverted,” and as Live Action News will detail further, Friedan, under the influence of Lader, eventually bought into abortion. And, while pro-abortion feminists obsessed over abortion, pro-life feminists left NOW to concentrate on real injustices affecting women, splitting NOW’s membership.

Doctor: Infant who survived abortion had expression of ‘grimace’ and ‘looked as if he wanted to cry’

abortion survivor, premature baby

The death of an abortion survivor changed the life of Texas physician Dr. Ron Bryce. During the 1980s when Bryce was doing his residency at a Fort Worth hospital, he attempted to save the infant’s life. As an emergency medicine physician, Dr. Bryce recalled the day he was summoned by the neonatal intensive care unit late in the evening. He recalled receiving a code blue to the operating room and said that he had no idea what the emergency was about.

Upon arrival, he found it unusual that hospital staffers said nothing to him. “They looked at me — no one told me anything.” Then he saw the baby in the corner on a table. The mother was still sedated. Bryce later learned that the baby had survived an abortion attempt. The hospital, Bryce says, committed abortions on poor women “under the radar.”

“It was confusion in the operating room. It was confusion,” Dr. Bryce recounted.

“Usually when we get called to code blue, you have a team-coordinated effort. When I got in there, nobody wanted to talk to me — I just see the baby in the corner up against the wall on a table. It was just odd. I didn’t understand it was an abortion at that time. I just thought the baby was delivered early… it was later I started questioning people when I realized it was an abortion.”

“It really hit me in the NICU when I had the baby in the incubator. I had to write a history of visual for the little guy. Initially it was just confusion. As far as I know, I was the only one that got called in for one of those. There may have been more, but they did not talk about it,” Dr. Bryce told Live Action News. “My gut feeling at that time was that it had happened before and babies were just left to die. The abortionist didn’t want me in there. He didn’t say anything to me.”

Sadly, the child, too young to survive outside the womb at the time, ultimately died.

“The baby was too young to be viable — 21 weeks. I couldn’t just let him die. I took to the baby to the neonatal intensive unit. Some probes were too small. He survived until the next day and then died,” Dr. Bryce stated emotionally.

late-term abortion

21 weeks

Dr. Bryce elaborated further in his book Fingerprint of God:

At the time, I had been a physician for about three years. I had seen a few aborted fetuses who still had a heartbeat. But this infant wasn’t lying limp like the others were doing. He was moving his arms and legs and looked as if he wanted to cry—a rather embarrassing situation for the abortionist. The situation struck me as absurd. Just minutes earlier, this fragile human being had legally been a “nonperson” possessing no rights. Yet, after surviving the abortion, he had magically become a “person” entitled to medical care (however inadequate that care happened to be). The same system that had failed to kill him was now in charge of saving his life.

I stared down at his frail body, emotion arose in my chest with each tiny heartbeat… his breathing became more labored, he grimaced several times—evidence of a struggle with something he had no ability to comprehend. While I could see him, with his eyes fused shut he could not see me. He would never know me or remember me, but I would always remember him. Finally, his grunting quieted, movements ceased, and the grimace passed.

Dr. Bryce believes that “induced labor” was the most likely method of abortion used on the baby he tried to save. “He was born live intact, his skin wasn’t scalded, so it wasn’t saline,” he said. However, “I don’t have the reports from the mother.” (An induced labor or induction abortion is shown in the video below.)

“When they’re dying… I can’t describe it. It feels like the whole universe — a focal point of good versus evil. Especially when you are the one trying to save the child.”

Since the 1970s when the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Roe v. Wade to permit legalized abortion in America, we have heard stories about the so-called “dreaded complication” — a term abortionists have used to describe babies surviving abortions. And there are babies who survive only to be killed outside the womb, which is infanticide. One of the more infamous abortionists known for this is Kermit Gosnell, who killed babies by snipping their necks after they were aborted at his National Abortion Federation-affiliated “House of Horrors” facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Image: Philadelphia Inquirer abortion and the Dreaded Complication

Philadelphia Inquirer abortion and the Dreaded Complication

When the story broke about how Gosnell kept jars of feet of the babies he aborted, carelessly killed women seeking abortions at his decades long-protected abortion facility, and murdered born babies, Live Action president Lila Rose made this emotional plea:

Live Action News has detailed other instances of babies killed after they were aborted alive:

The story of little Ana Rosa Rodriguez, who survived a late-term abortion after the abortionist severed her right arm, is particularly horrific. In that case, the abortionist stopped the procedure, demanding the child’s mother come up with more money for him to proceed.

Her story was highlighted by pro-abortion talk show host Phil Donahue in the video below:

Dr. Bryce told Live Action News, “Before I treated that little boy, I was nominally pro-life.” Now, he works to end abortion.

“I didn’t realize the humanity — the horrendous things that are going on — until it was right in front of me in my hands,” said Dr. Bryce. “I remember looking down on him. I remember I promised myself that I would not have this death be for nothing.”

Next in Live Action’s multi-part docuseries showing irrefutable evidence of a decades-long sexual abuse cover-up at Planned Parenthood is an interview that will reveal how the taxpayer-funded organization lied when they told the American people and the media that they were “retraining” staffers. The interview originally aired last year; however, in this current climate of the TimesUp and MeToo movements as well as a growing intolerance for enablers of abuse, it is imperative that the American people know the kind of organization they are being forced to fund through Title X, Medicaid and other state and federal tax dollars.

“Despite Planned Parenthood’s public rhetoric as well as laws requiring it to report suspected abuse, its failure to report has been deliberate and widespread,” Live Action president and founder Lila Rose stated in her group’s initial press release.

“Time and again, rather than reporting abuse to authorities, Planned Parenthood has repeatedly looked the other way and committed abortions on victims as young as 12 years old. These girls deserved advocacy but instead Planned Parenthood staff ignored their abuse and returned them to the waiting arms of their abusers.” (See the video on the recorded cases in which Planned Parenthood covered up sexual abuse here.)

“Live Action is releasing this report as the TimesUp movement is exposing both sexual abusers and those who help them cover up their crimes — the people who knew about the abuse but stayed silent,” Rose added.

The Aiding Abusers report, according to Rose, “includes numerous court cases, multiple news media reports, official police reports, state health department records, manager testimonials admitting a failure to report, and statements of underage sex abuse victims saying they were returned to their abusers after forced abortions.”

The next video release of the docuseries reveals how Planned Parenthood lied after being caught on film in an undercover Live Action investigation, displaying a willingness to turn a blind eye to child sex trafficking.

CNN Planned Parenthood to retrain after covering sexual abuse

As Live Action News has previously reported, in 2011, Live Action investigators exposed eight Planned Parenthood staffers at seven different Planned Parenthood facilities willing to aid and abet child sex traffickers by suggesting how to get abortions and birth control for their 14- and 15-year-old victims. After Live Action released the undercover footage exposing Planned Parenthood, the abortion chain informed the media that it would retrain thousands of staff members across the country to properly report suspected sexual abuse of minors to authorities.

Proof of those “claims” can be seen in this Live Action News report.

Image: Planned Parenthood lied about retraining staffers on sexual abuse

Planned Parenthood lied about retraining staffers on sexual abuse

Ramona Treviño, who was employed as a Planned Parenthood manager in Sherman, Texas, when these so-called retraining sessions were to have occurred, revealed that these “retraining sessions” actually instructed staff how to identify undercover journalists and whether they were being recorded instead of helping employees identify and report potential abuse.

“Planned Parenthood Federation of America went out publicly saying that they would retrain all of their staff on how they reported abuse,” Treviño states in the video interview below:

The alleged retraining was pitched to the media as a way to ensure that Planned Parenthood staffers knew how to identify victims of child sexual abuse or sex trafficking. And, of course, as Live Action News had previously documented, the media accepted Planned Parenthood’s words with zero follow-up.

Treviño, who attended the “retraining,” describes it instead as a training on how to detect if employees were being recorded.

“And, when we were called into this meeting, I – um – went in really believing that Planned Parenthood could redeem themselves. They are going to prove that they really do care about women and  this is something that really concerns them,” Treviño tells Rose in the video.

Image: Ramona Trevino said Planned Parenthood lied about retraining staff to identify sexual abuse

Ramona Trevino said Planned Parenthood lied about retraining staff to identify sexual abuse

The former Planned Parenthood manager continued:

I walk into the room and it’s dark – we sign in – and there’s a projector screen pulled down. And, they begin to play all of the previous undercover investigations that had been put out about Planned Parenthood. And I became very perplexed. I thought, you know, what’s going on here? Are we showing these things because they’re trying to show us, you know, what not to do? You know, the things that are wrong- that we don’t do these things?

… I raised my hand and I said, “I’m confused. Like, when are we going to actually begin the retraining? What can I do, as a manager, to take this information back to my staff and… enforce policies and procedures that would help protect women who are experiencing either sex trafficking or abuse, sexual abuse in any way?” Because, that’s a difficult subject to talk about, if you ever have a patient come in who expresses that. And so, I really wanted to know how we dealt with that.

Image: Planned Parenthood staffers aid sex traffickers (Image Credit: Live Action)

Planned Parenthood staffers aid sex traffickers (Image Credit: Live Action)

However, despite Treviño’s continued questions, the former Planned Parenthood worker claims she was simply shot down.

… She immediately shot me down, and she said, “We’re not here to talk about that, Ramona. We’re here to teach you how to identify if you’re being videotaped or recorded or entrapped in any way.”

At that moment, my heart just sunk. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I couldn’t believe that we were actually, um, there to train on how to identify if we’re being recorded. Again, it goes back to…do we have something to hide? Why, why is this an issue for us?

“That experience for me left me so disgusted that I couldn’t see how Planned Parenthood could ever redeem themselves after that,” Treviño adds.

This first hand account of that alleged “retraining” has been virtually dismissed by members of the mainstream media, which is regularly rewarded by Planned Parenthood for its silent complicity. Live Action’s Aiding Abusers docuseries and investigative report come on the heels of new proposed rules from The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which would require recipients of federal Title X dollars to report sexual abuse.

Image: Planned Parenthood rewards journalists that ignore fact that PP covers sexual abuse

Planned Parenthood rewards journalists that ignore fact that PP covers sexual abuse

In addition to one former Planned Parenthood worker testifying to systemic sexual abuse cover-ups at Planned Parenthood, Live Action previously released video testimony from other former workers, corroborating Live Action’s claims.

“Because of flagrant violations like these, the proposed Title X rule tightening on reporting abuse is absolutely necessary,” Lila Rose stated in the aforementioned press release.

She then called for Planned Parenthood to be investigated and defunded immediately:

“Planned Parenthood has proven that its priority is selling abortions, not caring for the most vulnerable of girls. Planned Parenthood’s culture of cover-up must end, the cycle of abuse of innocent children must end, and Planned Parenthood’s half a billion dollars in annual federal funding must end. Taxpayers cannot be forced to subsidize these abuses of children.”

Rose has also called for the TimesUp movement to join Live Action in exposing Planned Parenthood for decades of enabling sexual abusers.

Police training call shows how Planned Parenthood helps sexual abusers

Posted in Planned Parenthood and Child Predators, Planned Parenthood fails to report rape with tags , , , , , , , on June 22, 2018 by saynsumthn

A training key published by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) contains a transcript which proves just how comfortable sexual abusers are at using Planned Parenthood to hide their crimes.

Training keys are written by police experts and are described by the IACP as “concise, authoritative sources of law enforcement information, these six-page, loose-leaf monographs allow law enforcement officers to expand or sharpen their knowledge, skills and abilities on a broad variety of law enforcement practices and procedures.”

This particular Training Key is marked #574 and was published in 2004. It contains the transcript of a “pretext call” by a sexual abuse victim to the abuser (“Gerald”), beginning on page 4. The call was made on December 3, 2000, and the transcription was published in the Training Key by Detective Harold Eisenga of the San Diego, California, Police Department Sex Crimes Unit.

Image: Police Training Key Sexual Abuse and Planned Parenthood

Police Training Key Sexual Abuse and Planned Parenthood

According to Eisenga, a pretext call is simply “a tape recorded telephone call between the victim and the subject. The call is usually initiated by the victim, under the supervision of a law enforcement officer…. The suspect is unaware that the call is being recorded….”

No copy of the audio was available, as Live Action News was told that “the San Diego Police Department has no responsive records.”

However, a reading of the published transcript reveals just how comfortable sexual predators are at using or recommending Planned Parenthood to cover their abuses. In the transcript of an actual pretext phone call used in a sexual assault investigation, the predator, going by the name “Gerald” and referred to as the “suspect,” tells the 15-year-old victim to go to Planned Parenthood to obtain the potentially abortifacient morning after pill:

Image: Sexual predator coaches victim to go to Planned Parenthood

After the victim tells Gerald she missed her period, the suspect tells her to “go down to Planned Parenthood. And tell them the situation and they can give you something to take care of that if, in fact, you are.”

The victim tells the suspect that she has no money, and the suspect assures her she will not have to pay anything, and to ask Planned Parenthood for the morning after pill: “What they do… tell them you need the morning after pill and they’ll give it to you and you take what you have to take and it’ll induce your period. In other words, it’ll make you have your period. Within seven days.”

Image: Sexual predator tells victim get morning after pill at Planned Parenthood

Sexual predator tells victim get morning after pill at Planned Parenthood

The suspect, Gerald, coaches the victim how to get around any parental consent issues: “But just go in there and you fill out paperwork and tell them you don’t have any insurance and you don’t want your parents to know about it and if they ask you where can they contact you at, you tell them to contact you on your pager. And then you tell them..fill out all the information…and then you tell them what the situation is, they’ll check you out. They’ll give you a pregnancy test and then just tell them you need the morning after pill. You take it like you’re supposed to and what it does is, it causes you to have your period.”

The “victim” then asks, “Well, um, so… you’re saying I should like have an abortion like.”

The predator responds, “Well, it’s not necessarily an abortion, but it just prevents you from, your body to accepting it, if, in fact, you are pregnant. It just prevents your body from accepting it.”

This is, indeed, how an abortifacient drug like the morning after pill works — by thwarting the implantation of a newly conceived human life.

Concerned about going alone at the age of 15, the suspect tries to assure the victim it will be okay by referencing another child with whom the suspect later admitted to having sex — a girl just 14 years old:

Image: 15 year old sexual abuse victim coached by predator to go to Planned Parenthood

15 year old sexual abuse victim coached by predator to go to Planned Parenthood

“You can do it alone,” the suspect told her, “because when I told Ann, like, you know, Ann had the same problem when she went out with this one guy. A different Ann, not the Ann that Nadia knows, a different Ann. And uh, she had a problem, the same thing, and she thought she might have missed her period, but it was somewhat normal and you can miss your period for like a week or two.” He then told the victim that “Ann” was only 14 years old and she was able to obtain the morning after pill from Planned Parenthood, saying, “… so she went down and they gave her the morning after pill and she took it, like seven pills you have to take, and then you take it. And then what happens is it makes your body start having like your normal period.” He said, “there are several pills you take, they give you in a little packet, it doesn’t cost you anything. They ask for you to make a donation, but what you do is, you take it. And it starts making you like having your period. And you have them for like seven days.”

Toward the end of the call, the predator again reinforces that Planned Parenthood will “take care of it” and suggests the victim have an abortion if the morning after pill doesn’t work:

The victim says she plans to visit Planned Parenthood and that she’ll let the abuser know either way, whether she’s pregnant or not. He replies, “Okay. And if you don’t want to have it, like you don’t want to keep it. Then uh, go down to Planned Parenthood and tell them, you know, if you are, in fact, and that pill thing doesn’t work…. If it doesn’t work and you want to have an abortion, go to Planned Parenthood and tell them you want to have an abortion and you can’t afford it and they’ll take care of it…. But let me know what’s going on either way. Okay?”

The full transcript (below) shows, yet again, how even those in law enforcement are aware that Planned Parenthood has become the “go-to” place for sexual abusers. Live Action News has produced several detailed reports, articles, and undercover investigations proving that Planned Parenthood will hide sexual abuse. Planned Parenthood receives half a billion in federal and state tax dollars every year, yet Congress has failed to defund Planned Parenthood despite their serious and ongoing cover-ups of sexual abuse.

Live Action founder and president Lila Rose stated in a press release:

Despite Planned Parenthood’s public rhetoric as well as laws requiring it to report suspected abuse, its failure to report has been deliberate and widespread. Time and again, rather than reporting abuse to authorities, Planned Parenthood has repeatedly looked the other way and performed abortions on victims as young as 12 years old. These girls deserved advocacy but instead Planned Parenthood staff ignored their abuse and returned them to the waiting arms of their abusers.

Because of flagrant violations like these, the proposed Title X rule tightening on reporting abuse is absolutely necessary. Planned Parenthood has proven that its priority is selling abortions, not caring for the most vulnerable of girls. Planned Parenthood’s culture of cover-up must end, the cycle of abuse of innocent children must end, and Planned Parenthood’s half a billion dollars in annual federal funding must end. Taxpayers cannot be forced to subsidize these abuses of children.

POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATOR’S REPORT

Today’s date is December 3, 2000, time is 1630 hours. I am with
[victim’s name] and we will be attempting a pre-text phone call to
[suspect’s name].
V:denotes victim
S:denotes suspect
V:Hello?
S:Did somebody page?
V:Gerald?
S:Yes.
V:Hi.
S:What up?
V:How are you?
S:Um. Fine. Getting ready to go to work.
V:Oh, you are? Can you talk for like a few seconds or minutes?
S:Okay.
V:Um, you know how you didn’t use a condom?
S:Um-hmmm.
V:Um. I’m like worried cause I was supposed to like start my period like last weekend.
S:Well then you go down to Planned Parenthood. And tell them the situation and they can give you something to take care of that if, in fact, you are.
V:Well. I don’t like have any money.
S:It doesn’t cost you anything

V:Oh, it doesn’t?
S:No.
V:Well, what should I do if I am?
S:You tell them the situation.
V:Uh-huh.
S:What they do…tell them you need the morning after pill and they’ll give it to you and you take what you have to take and it’ll induce your period. In other words, it’ll make you have your period. Within seven days.
V:Oh.
S:But just go in there and you fill out paperwork and tell them you don’t have any insurance and you don’t want your parents to know about it and if they ask you where can they contact you at, you tell them to contact you on your pager. And then you tell them..fill out all the information…and then you tell them what the situation is, they’ll
check you out. They’ll give you a pregnancy test and then just tell them you need the morning after pill. You take it like you’re supposed to and what it does is, it causes you to have your period.
V:Well, um, so…you’re saying I should like have an abortion like.
S:Well, it’s not necessarily an abortion, but it just prevents you from, your body to accepting it, if, in fact, you are pregnant. It just prevents your body from accepting it.
V:Well, could I go like do that alone? Cause you know I’m only 15 and so…
S:You can do it alone because when I told Ann, like, you know, Ann had the same problem when she went out with this one guy. A different Ann, not the Ann that Nadia knows, a different Ann. And uh, she had a problem, the same thing, and she thought she might have missed her period, but it was somewhat normal and you can miss your period for like a week or two. What she did was, after she missed it, a couple days, she went down to Planned Parenthood and said that she’s only 14, I think. Yeah, 14 or 15, something like that. She went down and told them she didn’t want her parents knowing because they didn’t know she was having sex and so she went down and then she told them she needed the morning after pill because she might, she might be and she can’t have it. She said, “I don’t want my boyfriend knowing about it. You know the guy I had sex with” and so she went down and they gave her the morning after pill and she took it, like seven pills you have to take, and then you take it. And then what happens is it makes your body start having like your normal period.
V:Then when we had sex, did you pull out when you comed.
S:Yes, I did.
V:Okay.
S:But, it isn’t abnormal that you miss your period because she missed hers like by a week. She got worried, she went in and she took this. They’re like, there are several pills you take, they give you in a little packet, it doesn’t cost you anything. They ask for you to make a donation, but what you do is, you take it. And it starts making you like having your period. And you have them for like seven days. Cause, how long is your normal period?
V:Um, about six days

S:Six days? Okay. You’ll be on it for about seven days, seven to eight days, somewhere around there. And then after you take for…you just read the directions, you take it and once it’s gone, it’s, that’s it.
V:Well, also Ann is kinda worried that she has an STD and she doesn’t know if it’s from you or Tim, but it could be from you because I’m kind of hurting down there too.
S:Well, it isn’t from me because I just got my test results back. They did a physical. And they do a full physical and so and they did a blood test and a urine test and I came with nothing.
V: Did you wear a condom when you had sex with Ann?
S:What?
V:Did you wear a condom when you had sex with Ann?
S:Um, first time yes, second time, no. But the second time was on the same day, I think it was.
V:Yeah?
S:But she said that she…first of all, I don’t think she has an STD. First of all, I think it’s because, when usually, when somebody has sex with someone who is, well, a lot larger than somebody they had sex with before, it does hurt, because when I had sex with Nadia, she said it hurt for like a couple hours and then like the first time, she said it hurt for a couple days. When I had sex with her, she said it hurt for a couple days. But, I don’t have anything because I just got my test results back yesterday. I don’t have anything. I gotta go back in on December 8th, to take another physical for my doctor.
V:Uh-huh.
S:That includes also they do blood, they do a blood test.
V:All right. Well, I better…
S:I’m fine. Tim you probably have to worry about. Uh, she told me that she didn’t have sex, like she didn’t have sex with Tim because he just couldn’t get it up. And that day, after that, the day that she had sex with Tim, she had sex after I had sex with her.
V:Um-hmmm.
S:So, if she contracted something, that would be on her.
V:Um-hmmm.
S:Because…is it still hurting?
V:For who?
S:It is?
V:For me?
S:Yeah.
V:Yeah.
S:So like what kind of pain do you feel?
V:Well, like it hurts for me to go pee and like it stings really…
S:…a urinary infection.
V:Hmm.
S:The only thing you can really catch from a guy is like gonorrhea, but it wouldn’t affect your urine. That’s more of a bladder type of infection. The only thing you can really catch from a guy is likecrabs or um, it is possible to catch like gonorrhea, but girls don’t get the same as guys do, it doesn’t hurt when you pee, that’s a bladder infection.
V:Gerald?
S:What?
V:I gotta go because my parents are gonna be home soon. I’ll go to Planned Parenthood and I’ll tell you if I am or not. Okay?
S:Okay. And if you don’t want to have it, like you don’t want to keep it. Then uh, go down to Planned Parenthood and tell them, you know, if you are, in fact, and that pill thing doesn’t work.
V:Um-hmmm.
S:Then…I don’t see why it wouldn’t, but if it doesn’t work and you want to have an abortion, go to Planned Parenthood and tell them you want to have an abortion and you can’t afford it and they’ll take care of it.
V:Okay.
S:But let me know what’s going on either way. Okay?
V:All right.
S:I got to get going to work. Okay?
V:Uh-huh.
S:Okay, bye.
V:Bye.

The public needs to demand that Planned Parenthood is defunded today!

Image: Aiding Abusers Sex Abuse Cover Up at Planned Parenthood Former Workers Testify

Live Action’s Aiding Abusers docuseries, exposing how Planned Parenthood aids sexual abusers by failing to report child sexual abuse, makes it clear that the taxpayer-funded organization views children not as potential victims but more as “animals” who are unable to control their sexual appetites. In the latest release from the the Aiding Abusers docuseries, former Planned Parenthood workers reveal how the organization treated victims of sexual abuse:

In her introductions of the Former Workers video, Live Action president and founder Lila Rose points out:

When it comes to reports of sexual assault and sexual harassment, Planned Parenthood has used the slogan that we should ‘trust women,’ so lets’s follow that advice and listen to the testimonies of these four women who are former Planned Parenthood workers and managers who all say the same thing, that Planned Parenthood routinely covers-up child sexual abuse.

In the video, former Planned Parenthood employee Catherine Adair observed how the organization routinely allowed sexual abusers into the counseling rooms with their victims. When Adair objected, she was scolded and told that the victims were better off with abortions.

“There’d be girls coming in with their abusers…. Even if I went to the manager and I said, look, there’s something going on here, she would say, ‘She’s better off with the abortions. We can’t do anything about what’s going on at home but at least we can give her the abortion.’”

Monica Cline, a former HIV health educator and Title X training manager, observed Planned Parenthood’s work first hand:

I was teaching on human trafficking and statutory rape, and was telling Planned Parenthood staff of Corpus Christi and the Gulf Coast, basically, you’ve got to report when you see a girl coming in with an older man that you can tell is not her father. You know something’s wrong, you’ve got to report that; it’s considered human trafficking. It is also considered statutory rape; you’ve got to report this. And they started laughing.

She went on to state, “And I said, ‘I don’t think there was anything I said that was funny. What’s going on here?’ And the response was, ‘Honey, if she’s not having sex with this man this week she’ll have another one next week.’”

Think about that response for a moment. If what Cline is saying is correct, victims of sexual abuse are seen by this abortion corporation as simply promiscuous and in need of abortions and birth control, rather than protection from sexual predators. And that is exactly what Cline went on to describe, noting that, in her opinion, Planned Parenthood sees potential victims of child sexual abuse in a “distorted” way (emphasis added):

And so their view of our children is distorted. It’s dehumanized. I don’t know why their hearts are hardened, but they are. And so when a girl or a young man goes there for an abortion, or condoms or testing, they don’t see them with compassion anymore, if they ever did. Um, they see them as just, almost like an animal who can’t control themselves; they’re always gonna have sex so we’re just going to give them enough lube and condoms and hope they come in to get tested before they get some kind of cancer. They’re not gonna stop statutory rape.

Um, one of the things that they even mentioned was, they adopted [a] don’t ask, don’t tell [policy]…. If we don’t ask how old her partner is, we don’t have to tell. And so, Planned Parenthood actually allows victims of human trafficking to continue to be victims of human trafficking. And they’re okay with that. I went back to my office and I told my supervisor, like — listen, I’m trying to teach them about key concepts on Title X; they’re admitting that they’re not gonna report cases of statutory rape.

The response from my supervisor was, “Your job is to teach them key concepts, and that’s it.” She was really upset with me that I challenged that.

Former Planned Parenthood manager Sue Thayer stated that Planned Parenthood was more concerned about potential “trouble” from the victim’s family or boyfriend than they were about the victim. Thayer told Live Action, “We were all required to be mandatory reporters, but if we saw a case… uh… questionable abuse, or even for sure — I mean, this kid is being abused – um, we really were discouraged from calling it in, just because, uh, they didn’t want to have the trouble, the angry parent, uh, the angry boyfriend, whatever it was. So, more than once I was told, ‘No, that is not reportable – you don’t need to call it in.’”

Former Planned Parenthood employee Marianne Anderson also testified to a systemic cover-up of sexual abuse at the abortion corporation. She described an Asian girl who came to Planned Parenthood with a very controlling man who even talked for the girl. The girl described living in a place with many other young women, little food, and little clothing. Perhaps you and I can read between the lines here, but for Planned Parenthood, no alarm bells were raised and all they saw were dollar signs for the abortion.

When Marianne was asked how she felt about the lack of concern Planned Parenthood had for this potential victim, she responded, “Degraded, like women don’t really matter.”

“Like men — some men can be very controlling — but I think Planned Parenthood even added to that,” the former Planned Parenthood employee said.

These former staffers are not alone. Victims themselves have pointed out Planned Parenthood’s willingness to be complicit in sexual abuse.

One victim’s story, published anonymously by Feminists for Life, claims that when she was abused at the age of 12 by both an older brother and a college-age friend of the family, Planned Parenthood’s only concern was how often she was having intercourse, not who may have impregnated her:

[M]y older brother took me to Planned Parenthood…. The whole visit was terrifying. No one explained anything. I was examined, gave urine and blood samples, and shown a chart of an egg going around a big circle marked by days of the month. I was asked questions like, “frequency of intercourse?” and “method of birth control preferred?” I did not know what intercourse meant, so I just said “a lot,” and I had no idea what methods of birth control existed. No one asked who my “partner” was; no one expressed any dismay, concern, or even interest that a 12-year-old girl needed a pregnancy test. I heard a lot about “being responsible” and “taking control of my body.

Someone gave me a handful of condoms on the way out and made a joke about it being an assortment — red, blue, and yellow. The yellow ones were called Tinglers. I stuffed them in my purse and threw them away later.

My older brother maintained a strong silence throughout the entire time — no one asked him a single question.

The victim claims that she ended up starting her period and did not keep the abortion appointment. In addition, she states that the sexual abuse ended only after one predator moved away and the older brother set his sights on other victims from the neighborhood.

Sadly, this girl’s abuse — and many other victims’ abuse — may have been prevented if Planned Parenthood had bothered to ask about potential abuse.

Live Action’s Lila Rose stated in a press release:

Live Action is releasing this report as the Time’s Up movement is exposing both sexual abusers and those who help them cover up their crimes — the people who knew about the abuse but stayed silent. While Planned Parenthood has attached itself to the Time’s Up movement, the movement should be calling out Planned Parenthood for decades of enabling sexual abusers.
