Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger has been a cash cow for the abortion corporation and nothing proves this more than the many ways Planned Parenthood has fundraised off of this “racist, white woman.” Sanger is a eugenicist who once admitted she met with members of the Klu Klux Klan. A letter  signed by hundreds of former and present Planned Parenthood staffers at Planned Parenthood Greater New York (PPGNY), referred to Margaret Sanger as a “racist, white woman.”  They also decried the organization’s “systemic racism” as well as their “history and present steeped in white supremacy.”

They wrote in part:

Planned Parenthood was founded by a racist, white woman. That is a part of history that cannot be changed…We know that Planned Parenthood has a history and a present steeped in white supremacy and we, the staff, are motivated to do the difficult work needed to improve.

Below are a few examples of how Planned Parenthood financially benefited from their racist founder:

New York:

Planned Parenthood New York City (PPNYC) once boasted a Margaret Sanger Legacy Society.

As recent as October of 2019, PP stated, “You can ensure our future for generations to come by putting PPNYC in your will or creating an annuity, which can provide income back to you. PPNYC’s Margaret Sanger Legacy Society was established to recognize these gifts…For information on the Margaret Sanger Legacy Society, making a bequest, and other specially planned gifts, please call (212) 274-7279 or e-mail development@ppnyc.org. To let us know that you have named PPNYC in your will, please download this form and mail it to PPNYC or contact us at the telephone number or e-mail address above.”

Minnesota:

As I write this on August 9, 2020, Planned Parenthood of Minnesota’s PP North Central State facility continues to use Sanger’s name for its donors’ group, the Margaret Sanger Society, writing:

Have you established a gift for Planned Parenthood in your will or estate plan?

Planned Parenthood’s planned giving donors become a part of our Margaret Sanger Society. We create opportunities to recognize Sanger Society members throughout the year, including an annual event each spring. These events provide members with the opportunity to meet our staff, receive updates on our programs, and visit with other like-minded supporters.

Florida:

In Florida, as of late July 2020, Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida’s (PPSWCF) website boasted a “Margaret Sanger Legacy Society,” writing:

Legacy gifts are one of the main ways that we at Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida have been able to plan for the future growth and stability of our programs. Members of the Margaret Sanger Legacy Society have all made commitments through bequests in their wills, gifts of life insurance, gift annuities, real estate, charitable remainder trusts, and other means. through these gifts, they will continue to fund the services and programs they supported in their lifetime in perpetuity.

Margaret Sanger Legacy Awards

In addition to fundraising, Planned Parenthood also gave out Margaret Sanger Legacy Awards:

The truth is that after 100 years of praising Margaret Sanger as a heroine, Planned Parenthood has never been serious about disavowing their racist founder, and they continue to receive cover from the media, politicians and Hollywood, many who gleefully received awards in Sanger’s name.

And, despite Planned Parenthood’s latest attempt to “disavow” their founder by removing her name from their largest affiliate, Planned Parenthood’s across the country have – for years- raised funds off Sanger, a eugenicist who once admitted she met with members of the Klu Klux Klan. While Planned Parenthood claims to be reckoning with the eugenics and racist deeds of their founder, it is doubtful they intend to return all the money they raised profiting off Margaret Sanger’s name.
