REPUBLISHED FROM LIFE DYNAMICS BLOG

A Georgia woman who allegedly took an abortion pill she purchased off the internet to abort a five-and-a-half-month-old baby boy has been charged in the child’s death and abortion advocates have come to her defense.

Kenlissia Jones

According to reports published by a local media outlet, police say that 23-year-old Kenlissa Jones purchased Cytotec, from a source in Canada.

The drug, also known as Misoprostol, is promoted by abortion advocates in home abortion remedies online.

Reports indicate that Jones got a neighbor to take her to the hospital, but she delivered the baby boy in the car on the way.

Dougherty County police say that Jones’ baby boy died after about half an hour at the hospital and have now charged Jones with malice murder and possession of a dangerous drug.

Kenlissia Jones Riggins

Jones’ brother, Rico Riggins, told WALB that he did not know his sister was pregnant.

“Once she took those pills, from the way I’m understanding it, she was in a world of hurt for a while,” Riggins said.

Riggins said his family is grieving and in need of prayers.

We lost what would have been a nephew for me. And everything. And then my sister,” Jones’ brother said.

Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards said the case will likely go before a grand jury, because Georgia and federal laws will need to be explored.

According to Georgia law:

No abortion is authorized or shall be performed if the probable gestational age of the unborn child has been determined in accordance with Code Section 31-9B-2 to be 20 weeks or more unless the pregnancy is diagnosed as medically futile, as such term is defined in Code Section 31-9B-1, or in reasonable medical judgment the abortion is necessary to avert the death of the pregnant woman or avert serious risk of substantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman. This is not the first time a woman has been charged after ordering and consuming drugs to self-induce an abortion.

Earlier this year a 33-year-old Indiana woman was sentenced to 20 years in prison on feticide and neglect charges after she took abortion pills she had ordered to abort her roughly thirty (30) week pregnancy.

Purvi Patel Charged with Baby Death9-0132-0831-0eae5eefacd9 Thumb

The woman, Purvi Patel then threw the almost fully developed baby into a dumpster behind a restaurant her family owns where the infant died.

Abortion advocates wasted no time coming to Purvi’s defense. (read here.)

Life Dynamics president, Mark Crutcher called Patel’s defenders, savages, saying that abortion advocates never met a baby they didn’t want to kill.

Crutcher pointed out that had Patel’s baby been found in the dumpster of an abortion clinic, no charges would have been filed, “The fact is, if the body of this child had been found in the dumpster of an abortion clinic instead of the dumpster of a restaurant this arrest would have never happened and Patel would just be another enlightened woman exercising her constitutional right to choose,” he stated at the time of Patel’s arrest.

Now, abortion advocates are rushing to the aid of Kenlissa.

On twitter they have set up the twitter hashtag #justiceforKenlissa to defend Kenlissa’ actions.

In January a sign on the door of the Birmingham, Alabama Planned Parenthood said they were closed.
Planned Parenthood Birmingham

A statement from Planned Parenthood to the media read, “We are slowing down our services in Birmingham temporarily in order to upgrade our operations.”
Now, the abortion giant claims that they suspended operations in at the Birmingham facility because of illegal activity conducted by two former staff members.

The abortion giant told MyFoxAl that the staff members were allegedly selling illegal prescription medicine in the parking lot. Planned Parenthood says they reported the activity to investigators along with the state board of nursing and board of medical examiners.

Spokesperson Nora Spencer says the group is upgrading operations and speaking with the Alabama Department of Public Health about scheduling an inspection before re-opening.

Blogger Jill Stanek uncovered more from a lawsuit filed by Planned Parenthood prior to these allegations becoming public.

Stanek Writes:

Planned Parenthood’s lawsuit left it and doctors killing babies in Alabama open to exposure. And expose this brief does. From page 6 (paragraph breaks and underline added):

Finally, the evidence will show, contrary to plaintiffs’ assertions (Doc 173 at 12), that the State has a legitimate need for additional credentialing for abortion doctors.

There are immediate reasons to question the competence and ethics of at least two of the five doctors (40%) who work for plaintiffs as well as their employees more generally. Dr. A is currently being sued for malpractice arising from his misdiagnosis of a patient at a Birmingham abortion clinic. Dr. P2 is currently being prosecuted by the federal government for Medicaid fraud.

And Planned Parenthood’s Birmingham clinic was recently closed after an employee of Planned Parenthood unlawfully sold prescription drugs in the clinic’s parking lot.

Unsanitary Kentucky abortion clinic

2008 – Abortionist Hamid Sheikh has had his medical license suspended and his Lexington, Kentucky, abortion mill closed after the state’s medical board revealed evidence of fraud, filthy conditions, and illegal abortions that led one reporter to describe Sheikh’s clinic as a “hellish abortion operation.”

In 2008, An investigator for the Attorney General’s office reported that she found expired medications, unsanitary conditions, and missing or inoperable equipment in the office of abortionist Hamid Sheikh, who has performed abortions at his Lexington office since 1975.
Hamid Sheikh

Sheikh was indicted in Franklin Circuit Court on four counts of defrauding Medicaid, the government health insurance program for the poor. Specifically, he is alleged to have submitted false billing statements to Medicaid since 2004, disguising abortions as ultrasounds for normal pregnancies and illegally charging Medicaid patients.

One Medicaid investigator, a nurse, found ”medical care standards dramatically out of compliance“ in Sheikh’s office, according to documents that accompanied the medical board’s June 5 order.

And a Medicaid fraud agent told the board that seven patients reported ”highly negative experiences, commonly involving a lack of medication and being told by the licensee not to scream during the procedure.“

One patient told investigators that Sheikh ”took no history, vitals, nor did he verify her pregnancy,“ according to board documents.

”She was given a Valium for the pain … . During the procedure the pain was unbearable and she fought them and kicked over a tray. After the procedure she was given a stained sheet to cover herself with.“

Previously, investigators say Dr. Hamid Hussain Sheikh performed abortions and then illegally billed the state.

The doctor spoke to 27 NEWSFIRST today with his side of the story.

In 2007, a Franklin County grand jury indicted the doctor.

Pro-life organization re-launching Abortion Clinic Worker campaign

“Every piece of information we need to destroy the abortion industry is in the abortion industry,” Life Dynamics President, Mark Crutcher

Clinic Worker Business Card

Today, it is clear that the pro-life movement has a greater potential for recruiting informants from the abortion industry than ever before. To capitalize on this, Life Dynamics, Inc. a national pro-life organization located in Denton, Texas is re-launching its ClinicWorker.com direct mail campaign.

Since Life Dynamics began the ClinicWorker.com project, we have seen that virtually every abortion clinic in the country is engaged in at least some sort of illegal activity and most are engaged in several. We also know that when this information is brought out into the public, the consequences for the abortion industry can be devastating.

In just one example, several years ago two employees of Petroplex Gynecological – an abortion clinic in Midland, Texas – contacted us with information documenting that the abortionist who owned this facility was underreporting his income and filing false Medicaid claims. Following several days of conversations with these women, we called our contact at the Internal Revenue Service and made arrangements to turn this evidence over to them. Within a few months, that material was used to convict abortionist John Alderman and send him to a federal prison. His abortion clinic was also shut down and never reopened.

Clinic Worker oster

At Life Dynamics, we now have considerable experience with abortion clinic employees and former employees who have either witnessed or participated in illegal activities occurring at their places of work. A few of the most common of these crimes include:

• Income Tax Evasion • Physical Assault of Patients
• Medicaid Fraud • Sexual Harassment of Employees
• Insurance Fraud • Sexual Assault of Patients
• Money Laundering • Failure to Report Statutory Rape of Minors
• Consumer Fraud • Health and Safety Code Violations

Mark Crutcher2013

Mark Crutcher, president of Life Dynamics says, “An issue that was recently brought into the public spotlight is the killing of children outside the womb who survive botched abortions. While many of us in the pro-life movement already knew that this has been going on for years, the general public was not made aware of it until May, 2013, when Pennsylvania abortionist, Kermit Gosnell, was sentenced to life in prison for committing this crime.”

Crutcher continues, “From the abortion industry’s standpoint, it may be that the most damaging outcome of this trial is not that Gosnell went to prison, but that his wife and several employees did as well. This creates trouble for the abortion industry given that (a) it is common for the authorities to get information about an employer’s illegal activity from disgruntled former employees and ex-spouses; and (b) the divorce rate within the abortion industry appears to be well above average and the employee turn-over rate is astronomical. Beyond that, we have also found that, even among those employees who remain on abortion clinic payrolls, the vast majority have an attitude toward their employers that ranges from distrust to loathing.

When prison sentences were handed down against Gosnell’s employees, it was easy to predict that one consequence would be a heightened concern among America’s abortion clinic workers regarding their own vulnerability to criminal charges.

“In the past, most of these people were intimidated into silence because they didn’t know the answers to two questions: “How would I go about telling what I know?” and the most important question of all, “Am I in trouble?” But at Life Dynamics, we know that these issues can be resolved. We also see evidence that clinic employees are starting to be less afraid to come forward.”

On the day after Gosnell was convicted, Life Dynamics released the first part of an interview we taped with three former employees of Houston abortionist, Douglas Karpen. In graphic detail, these women publicly revealed that the same things that were going on in Gosnell’s abortion clinic are going on in Karpen’s. We furnished the unedited footage of this interview to the Houston police resulting in a criminal investigation.

americanabortionclinic-dvd

In addition, we have since produced a DVD called An American Abortion Clinic that contains more of this chilling interview plus an interview we conducted with a recent patient of this same facility.

Crutcher, says, “Since the Gosnell trial many abortion employees are looking out there and saying, ‘You know what? I like my job, and I’m pro-choice and all that, but I’m not interested in going to prison. I’m not that committed.’ And they are starting to come out of the abortion industry. Well..Life Dynamics, Inc. is going to make it a little easier for them.”

To capitalize on this, Life Dynamics will be sending information to every abortion clinic in the country alerting employees about illegal activity that may be going on in their facility, what they can do about it, and what their own legal exposure might be.

clinicworker_packet

Recognizing that these efforts will not get through to every employee, we have also developed a kit to help sidewalk counselors increase the reach of the campaign. Included will be five picketing signs (posters) that we recommend pro-life sidewalk counselors attach to cardboard or foamcore for use at the clinics. Life Dynamics will also include a supply of ClinicWorker.com business cards.

Crutcher concludes, “Every piece of information we need to destroy the abortion industry is in the abortion industry…We are encouraging people to get out in front of abortion clinics with these materials.”

Collecting/using rainwater is ILLEGAL in some states – seriously?

Posted in freedom, Land Rights with tags , , , , on December 12, 2011 by saynsumthn

(NaturalNews) Many of the freedoms we enjoy here in the U.S. are quickly eroding as the nation transforms from the land of the free into the land of the enslaved, but what I’m about to share with you takes the assault on our freedoms to a whole new level. You may not be aware of this, but many Western states, including Utah, Washington and Colorado, have long outlawed individuals from collecting rainwater on their own properties because, according to officials, that rain belongs to someone else.

As bizarre as it sounds, laws restricting property owners from “diverting” water that falls on their own homes and land have been on the books for quite some time in many Western states. Only recently, as droughts and renewed interest in water conservation methods have become more common, have individuals and business owners started butting heads with law enforcement over the practice of collecting rainwater for personal use.

Whistleblower alleges Texas Planned Parenthood committed massive Medicaid fraud

Jill Stanek is reporting:

Whistleblower alleges Texas Planned Parenthood committed massive Medicaid fraud

A former employee of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast has filed a whistleblower’s complaint with both the Texas and United States Attorneys General alleging her management engaged in massive Medicaid fraud. ( Read here )

Karen Reynolds, who worked as a “health care assistant” from 1999 to 2009 at the Lufkin, Texas, branch of the affiliate formerly known as Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas, has submitted company memos and emails to support her charge that PPGC has engaged in a systemwide scheme to bilk Medicaid, Title XX, and the Women’s Health Program of tens of millions of dollars over the course of at least a decade.

Reynolds alleges bosses trained employees to bill government agencies for medical and family planning services not rendered, for services no reasonable medical personnel would provide, and – the biggest bombshell – for abortion-related services fudged to appear as if they were not.

PPGC operates 10 clinics in Texas – including, at seven stories and 78,000 sq ft, the largest abortion clinic in the U.S., located in Houston (pictured left, with PPGC CEO Peter Durkin in the foreground) – and two in Louisiana.

PPGC’s bilking scheme was elaborate and, frankly, fascinating. It allegedly involved several corporate officers, including Durkin (also pictured right with Planned Parenthood Federation of America CEO Cecile Richards in 2009) as well as board members, clinic directors, assistant clinic directors, health care assistants, and nurse practitioners.

According to the complaint, each clinic was given annual, monthly, and daily government revenue goals.
In conjunction, monthly staff meetings that included PowerPoint presentations were held at all clinics to train how to maximize government revenue.
PPGC went so far as to send employees from “under-performing” clinics to “higher-performing” clinics to learn how to increase revenue, which included double-billing.

One-size-fits-all billing
According to the complaint:
The scheme included the express policy of billing these government health care programs for a predetermined list of reimbursable services for every eligible patient who visited the clinic, regardless of whether those services were medically necessary or ever actually provided to the patient….
PPGC policy regarding which medical services to provide and bill for depended in large part on who was paying the bill…. [S]elf-pay patients were provided services based on medical necessity. WHP, Medicaid, and Title XX patients, however, were provided a series of predetermined services based on what those programs would pay for with the result that patients covered by government health programs were often provided services on an “across the board” basis even when such services were not medically necessary. The medical testing services most commonly provided to Medicaid and Title XX patients on an “across the board” basis… are:
a) Gonorrhea testing (Codes 87590 and 87591);
b) Chlamydia testing (Codes 87490 and 87491);
c) HIV testing;
d) Syphilis testing;
e) urinalysis (Codes 81002 and 81015);
f) hemoglobin blood count testing (Code 85018); and,
g) pregnancy testing

Because Medicaid guidelines allow for reimbursement for counseling on primary birth control and back-up bc, each Medicaid/WHP-eligible patient was also billed for both for every visit, although such counseling was not necessary and not given.
Another trick was to hand every contracepting patient a bag of condoms and vaginal film on her way out the door, despite the fact they were not needed or requested. This allowed PPGC to bill the government for, according to the complaint:

a. Condoms $4.20
b. Vaginal film $12.60
c. Method counseling $30.60 (Primary method, plus film and condoms as ‘back-up’ $10.20 X 3)
d. Problem counseling $10.45 (Under PPGC procedures, handing out condoms justified billing the government for ‘problem counseling’ because condoms are also used to prevent STD’s) (Code 99402 + Modifier FP [$10.45])

Isn’t it illegal to bill the government for abortions?
The biggest bombshell in the complaint comes on page 15, which describes how PPGC falsified charts of aborting or post-abortive patients to appear as if their visit was for another reason. It is illegal under the Hyde Amendment for federal taxpayer dollars to fund abortions unless for rape, incest, or life of the mother. But PPGC found ways around this. Quoting from one PPGC memo listed in the complaint:

POST AB VISITS:
We must work these clients in! This visit is self-pay. Quote the self-pay price then ask if she needs any other services such as birth control. If she is interested, screen for WHP or Title XX and offer the WWE [Well Woman Exam]. If the client is getting on birth control make this the focus of the visit and put a note in the chief complaints that the client had a surgical or medical abortion “x” weeks ago.

To pro-lifers, this information is the proverbial smoking gun, showing more than that the line of demarcation between federal funds and abortion is fungible, but that at least this Planned Parenthood worked the system to illegally obtain taxpayer dollars for abortion-related services.

Super billing

In addition, patient records were double-checked after visits against a “super bill” inserted into each chart that listed all possible government-reimbursable services. If more charges could be eked out, they were, regardless of whether or not the services were performed. In those cases charts were returned to nurses for back-charting, to add those services in the record.

In all, Reynolds is alleging six counts against PPGC for violating the Federal False Claims Act and the Texas Medicaid Fraud Prevention Act.
Status of case

On October 18 United States District Judge Ron Clark, a GWB appointee, denied PPGC’s request to stop the discovery process.
I spoke with attorney Frank Manion today, of the American Center for Law and Justice, which is handling Reynolds’ case. Manion told me they have just started to receive relevant documents from PPGC.

If PPGC is indeed found to have committed fraud, it will lose all government funding. In fact, the entire nationwide Planned Parenthood chain will be at risk for defunding.
Reynolds is the third whistleblower to accuse her former Planned Parenthood employer of fraud against the government.

Former Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles CFO P. Victor Gonzalez has a case in federal court accusing his employer of similar activity.

And the IRS is investigating charges brought by an unnamed employee of the now defunct Planned Parenthood Golden Gate.

Meanwhile, Americans United for Life reports that government audits have uncovered similar fraud at Planned Parenthoods in New Jersey, New York, and Washington state.

On September 15 Republican Congressman Cliff Stearns, Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, launched an investigation of Planned Parenthood Federation and its 83 affiliates. He can add this information to the pile.

Advocate for education on Human Trafficking blasts Planned Parenthood says they have no idea of the hell on earth that the victims of sex-trafficking endure

After viewing the recent undercover videos released by the Journalist group: Live Action, exposing how Planned Parenthood covers for pimps who traffic in underage girls, an advocate for education on Human Trafficking had this scathing statement.

Dottie Laster has spent nearly a decade fighting daily in efforts to educate citizens and governmental agencies, has a Radio Show, “TRAFFICKED,” which is devoted to issues surrounding the victims of sex-trafficking, and tirelessly works with the victims to be able to restore their lives once the cycle of abuse has been stopped.

Here is the statement she gave on the Planned Parenthood scandal:

“No matter what your opinions on abortion are, in the United States we have strict laws, regulations, procedures and ethics that protect children from being sold in commercial sex. As a scholar of sociology, I have observed that it is not uncommon for organizations which are established to protect freedoms and rights grow, expand and develop into groups that fail to protect the individuals they were formed to serve. Daily, I see instances of law-enforcement, non- profit organizations, legal systems and others fail victims of human-trafficking. Precious windows of opportunity for escape lost or perhaps even worse, the organizations assist the traffickers whether knowingly or not.

After viewing the Planned Parenthood video my first thoughts were of the victims I have served over the last 8 years. Specifically the women and girls — their horrendous statements of rape, gang rapes, torture, branding, starvation, extortions, assault and their reports of repeated forced abortions and miscarriages due to the trauma they received. I have often wondered where these multiple abortions took place and how medical professionals had not seen the extensive trauma to their bodies, spirits and souls.

In this film the apathy for the victims from the Planned Parenthood manager is not uncommon. Her willingness to be helpful to the pimp about how to work the system and receive services to provide birth control, STD testing, and abortions to children in commercial sex was unfortunately was robotic in the face of atrocity. I hope she truly had no idea of the hell on earth that the victims of sex-trafficking endure and how her instructions to keep the children quiet, send them with a biased interpreter and to
avoid contact with the unpopular clinician who would be strict about sexually active youth. I trust she did not know how these instructions would affect the victims’ lives, human rights/civil liberties, and limit their futures. In addition I must hold hope she was not thinking of the families that loved the immigrant children she spoke of who would be devastated to learn what was being planned for their children in the United States.

We have societal myths surrounding the combination of sex and money which blind and fog the minds of people who could have helped the victims and prosecuted the traffickers. A recent example is Lawrence Taylor ‘s deal of no jail time after pleading guilty to two misdemeanors due to buying sex with a minor who he admittedly paid a pimp for sex acts with even though she had a black eye and had clearly been recently beaten and was only 16. There was also a case in Texas, where a 13 year old who was arrested for prostitution and the county prosecutor prosecuted her all the way to the Texas Supreme Court- Her 32 year old “boyfriend’ was never questioned. She had received two abortions before the age of 13 while under his supervision and she was mentally deficient, yet she endured only punishment from our justice system. One of my clients, was arrested at 16, for being in the US illegally due to the trafficking, after undergoing eight to nine abortions and one birth which resulted in death of the infant two days later; a child victim alleged her experience at a hospital where she went to ask for help due to the pain and trauma associated with being prostituted – she asked the doctor wrote a note to her pimp saying she should not have sex for a week and was sent back to him- just as the woman in the film suggested the pimp told her to make money above the waist.

I so wish people would not be seduced and their perspective fogged when they see adults putting children in commercial sex. All children in commercial sex are victims of trafficking according to the Trafficking Victims Protection Act and anyone who attempted or intended to participate/facilitate human trafficking activities could face prosecution under the TVPA-whether they completed the crime or not.

I hope that this organization and the individuals who assisted this pseudo- pimp will use this opportunity to train their staff about the laws and protections surrounding children in forced labor, the criminal penalties for anyone who assists in prosecuting children such as prostituting a minor 14 or under which could result in a federal life sentence. They could learn that commercial sex is anything exchanged of value for stripping, pornography or prostitution and learn how to identify victims of trafficking both children and adults and the procedures to effectively assist them.

No matter what medical procedure a person requests their right to privacy must be maintained through HIPPA laws and should not be shared with any pimp or trafficker- and any immigrant minor in the United States who is not accompanied by a parent or guardian must be protected and custody established. I see many training opportunities brought to light due to this video for Planned Parenthood and any organization who serves marginalized populations. The TVPA also has a clause that states any government contractor whose employees or sub- contractors or their dependents engage in human trafficking activities may lose all government funding. So I urge all organizations to address their policies and procedures immediately. The first effective action that any group can do is to recognize that ANY MINOR IN COMMERCIAL SEX IS A VICTIM OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING and that anyone putting a minor in stripping, pornography or prostitution is a trafficker- and should be treated as a criminal.

I hope in the future a film like this would demonstrate a staff displaying a fierce urgency to protect victims and children from forced labor and commercial sex.”
