Planned Parenthood Abortion Corporation

Planned Parenthood dominates the abortion market.

Former employees of the abortion organization have admitted that, contrary to the organization’s claim that abortion makes up only 3% of its services, everything Planned Parenthood does has the end goal of abortion. As Planned Parenthood’s government funding increases (it’s currently around half a billion dollars annually), so does Planned Parenthood’s share of abortions (35 percent) in the United States, even while abortion numbers are decreasing nationally.

But this trend toward Planned Parenthood’s increasing market share isn’t just a national one. In states which record abortions by facility, statistics show that Planned Parenthood centers perform a large percentage of state abortions, and those market shares are on the increase as well. States that publish lists of licensed abortion facilities show that Planned Parenthood is crushing its competitors.

ARIZONA: A list of licensed abortion clinics (last updated in July of 2016), reveals that 50 percent of abortion facilities in Arizona are Planned Parenthood centers.

ARKANSAS: Two-thirds of the licensed abortion facilities in Arkansas were Planned Parenthood centers as of December 2016. The list, published by the Arkansas Department of Health, has since been removed.

CONNECTICUT: A report to the State Legislature in 2014 indicated that 4 out of 6 facilities offering abortions were Planned Parenthood centers. However, a 2016 report published by the Bridgeport Diocese indicates there may now be as many as 18 licensed abortion centers in the state. A January 2017 query at CT.gov reveals that all but one of those 18 facilities is a Planned Parenthood facility. This means that Planned Parenthood makes up more than 94 percent of the state’s abortion clinics.

FLORIDA: Nearly 24 percent (15 out of 60) of licensed abortion facilities in Florida are Planned Parenthood centers, according to a query of abortion clinics conducted at the Agency for Healthcare Administration in September of 2017.

GEORGIA: One-third of the abortion facilities in Georgia are Planned Parenthood centers, according to a searchable site at the Georgia Department of Community Health. Today Planned Parenthood advertises online that at least half of its facilities commit abortions.

KANSAS: The Kansas Department of Health and Environment shows Planned Parenthood’s Overland Park facility is the only licensed facility in the state, despite the fact that the Wichita Planned Parenthood advertises abortion services. At least one other abortion facility exists.

MARYLAND: 17 percent of Maryland’s twelve licensed abortion facilities are Planned Parenthood centers, according to a list published by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene on September 1, 2017. It should be pointed out that five Planned Parenthoods offer abortion services online, despite only two being licensed. If we add those into the mix, (7 out of 12) the figure changes to 42 percent.

MISSOURI: 100% of licensed abortion facilities in Missouri are Planned Parenthoods, according to a September 2017 list published by the Missouri Department of Health. The state recorded a total of 7,474 abortions for 2015.

NORTH CAROLINA: Planned Parenthood abortion facilities made up 33 percent (5 out of 15) of the licensed abortion clinics in North Carolina, according to a list published by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation. However, online, Planned Parenthood advertises abortion services at six locations, which would bring the figure to 40 percent.

OKLAHOMA: Planned Parenthood makes up 25 percent of the state’s licensed abortion facilities, according to a directory published by the Oklahoma State Department of Health in September 2017.

PENNSYLVANIA: A query of licensed abortion facilities in Pennsylvania revealed that nearly 37 percent (7 out of 19) were Planned Parenthood facilities. The list appears to be outdated but does give a snapshot of Planned Parenthood’s abortion performance in the state. According to research conducted by the Pennsylvania Family Institute, in 2015, Planned Parenthood performed 17,513 abortions in Pennsylvania — 55 percent of the state’s total abortions (31,818), an increase of 2.5 percent from 2014. PFI notes:

Statewide abortions have decreased by 7,000 annually since 2008 while Planned Parenthood abortions in PA have increased by more than 1,500 annually over the same time period.

SOUTH CAROLINA: In 2015, 11,643 abortions were reported to the state of South Carolina. A September 2017 list of licensed abortion facilities, published by the South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control Division of Health Licensing, reveals that Planned Parenthood currently makes up 100% of the licensed abortion facilities in the state.

SOUTH DAKOTA: Planned Parenthood centers are also 100% of licensed abortion facilities in South Dakota, according to a September 2017 query of licensed abortion providers with the state. The most recent abortion statistics show that 444 abortions were committed in South Dakota in 2015.

TEXAS: Almost 63 percent of licensed abortion facilities (5 out of 8) in Texas are Planned Parenthood centers, according to an online list at the Texas Department of State Health Services accessed in September of 2017.

A list published by the largest association of professional abortion providers, the National Abortion Federation (NAF), demonstrates further how Planned Parenthood dominates the abortion market. While it may be true that not every abortion facility is necessarily a member of NAF in every state (including some Planned Parenthood facilities), the list below (researched in January 2017) shows just how much Planned Parenthood dominates among NAF members. The numbers below represent the percentage of NAF abortion facilities which are Planned Parenthood centers:

  • Colorado: 73 percent (11 out of 15)
  • Delaware: 75 percent (3 out of 4)
  • Minnesota: 33 percent (2 of 6)
  • Nevada: Almost 29 percent (2 of 7)
  • New Hampshire: 40 percent (2 out of 5)
  • New Jersey: 94 percent (17 out of 18)
  • New Mexico: 40 percent (2 of 5)
  • New York: 72 percent (21 out of 29)
  • Oregon: 83 percent (5 of 6)
  • Pennsylvania: 43 Percent (6 out of 14)
  • Tennessee: 25 percent
  • Utah: 50 percent (1 out of 2)
  • Vermont: 100 percent (5 out of 5)
  • Washington: 30 percent (3 of 10)

Simply doing an internet search for abortion turns up predominantly Planned Parenthood centers, with the exception of a few other abortion businesses.

Planned Parenthood claims to offer other services such as anemia testing, cholesterol screening, diabetes screening, physical exams (including for employment and sports), flu vaccines, help with quitting smoking, screening for high blood pressure, tetanus vaccines, thyroid screening, and more. And yet, Planned Parenthood’s website rarely appears in the top searches for any of these services.

On the other hand, if you Google “abortion pill,” “get abortion,” “abortion cost,” “abortion info,” “where can I get an abortion,” “early abortion,” “abortion 20 weeks,” “abortion medical,” “abortion options,” “make abortion appointment” – Planned Parenthood is there.

The reason for this is simple: Planned Parenthood is primarily an abortion corporation which does not serve the entire health spectrum of society. And the clients Planned Parenthood does serve are dwindling year after year. What else is dwindling? Planned Parenthood’s non-abortion services.

Planned Parenthood may claim its purpose is as a “health care” agency, but numbers from official reports show otherwise. Today, Planned Parenthood will receive $1.5 million in taxpayer dollars, while ending the lives of 900 preborn babies.

It is long past time to defund Planned Parenthood.

Using research from the recent Fortune article, “Obama & Google: A Love Story?” we trace some pretty scary connections to the IMF, NSC, World Bank, Goldman Sachs, and foundations sponsored by Google and Soros.Something’s up here.

Is this the very Big Brother that we have been fearing for so long?

The First App With Facial Recognition Software

Last month, WPN’s Abby Johnson spoke with Face.com CEO Gil Hirsch about his company, Face.com, and the potential of facial recognition software. In her interview with Hirsch, they touched on the potential of facial recognition software being used with social media sites in such a way that it could go beyond simply identifying the person to whom the face belongs but also determining the face/person’s age, gender, and even their mood.

If you a Facebook user doesn’t have their photos available for public viewing, then KLIK won’t be able to tag that person in the photo you take with the app. In other words, KLIK isn’t going to breach any of your extant security settings on Facebook.

Google Invests Another $2.6M in 23andMe
June 19, 2009
By a GenomeWeb staff reporter
NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Google has invested $2.6 million in 23andMe through a Series B financing, according to a US Securities and Exchange filing by Google yesterday.
Google has invested around $7 million thus far in the consumer genetics startup. Two years ago, Google invested $3.9 million in 23andMe through a Series A round of financing. It also purchased $500,000 of 23andMe’s Series A preferred stock from a private investor in 2007.

Sergey Brin, president of technology and a co-founder of Google is the husband of 23andMe Co-founder Anne Wojcicki. He previously invested around $10 million of his own money in 23andMe’s convertible debt financing, which was converted into Series B preferred stock as part of 23andMe’s Series B round.

Google noted in the SEC filing that the valuation of the Series B investment was determined by 23andMe and New Enterprise Associates — a venture capital investor in 23andMe — in which Google did not play a role.

23andMe has not yet disclosed how much in total it raised through the Series B round or the names of the other investors in addition to Google and New Enterprise Associates.
Google also disclosed in the filing that it had entered into a lease agreement with 23andMe, but it did not provide further details.

NOW THEY WANT TO COLLECT DNA ON AFRICAN AMERICANS:

From the ROOT:

To significantly boost the amount of genetic information collected about African Americans — which allows people to peer deeper into their ancestry and also to improve their medical care — a California-based genetic-testing company is offering free access to its Web-based service.

The company, 23andMe, is inviting 10,000 adults of African descent to sign up for a free account — waiving the $399 fee — and provide a saliva sample, agree that their genetic information can be used for research and answer a series of online health surveys. (For your free kit, visit 23andme.com/store, add a kit to your cart and upon checkout, enter this code for The Root readers: QDPEBG. This is a limited enrollment offer that runs through Dec. 31, 2011.)

The vast majority of genetic research published so far has been conducted in people of European ancestry, with a growing gap in the understanding of the interplay between genetics and health for African Americans.

“There are some social factors, with some reluctance to participate in studies because of a history of discrimination in research in the past. So many people bring up Tuskegee and say ‘We haven’t forgotten Tuskegee,’ ” said Joanna Mountain, Ph.D., senior director of research for 23andMe. Read rest here

Asian Spring? Will the Obama Admin side with Chinese Dissenters like he did the Arabs ?

Well…I doubt it?

From the Huffington Post:

BEIJING — A Communist Party leader has told China’s Internet companies to tighten control over material online as Beijing cracks down on dissent and tries to block the rise of Middle East-style protests.

The party secretary for Beijing, Liu Qi, issued the warning following a visit this week to Sina Corp., which operates a popular microblogging site, according to the party-published newspaper Beijing Daily.

Internet companies should “strengthen management and firmly prevent the spread of fake and harmful information,” Liu was quoted as saying after the visit Monday to Sina. He said companies should “resist fake and negative information.”

Communist authorities encourage Internet use for education and business but are uneasy about its potential to spread dissent, especially after social networking and other websites played a key role in protests that brought down governments in Egypt and Tunisia.

Beijing is in the midst of one of its most sweeping crackdowns on dissent in years and has detained or questioned hundreds of activists, lawyers and others.

The government tries to block access to foreign websites deemed subversive and Chinese operators of websites where the public can post comments are required to watch the material and remove any that violates censorship rules.

The government’s censorship rules prompted Google Inc. to close its China search engine last year. Mainland users can see Google’s Chinese-language search site in Hong Kong but access is slower and the company’s China market share has shrunk.

Pro-Life Leader Chris Smith: Biden Sold Out Chinese Women
Congressman Chris Smith, the head of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus and chairman of the Executive-Congressional Commission on China, today criticized Vice President Joe Biden for his comments essentially supporting the one-child policy in China.

“China’s one-child policy is cruel and barbaric,” Smith said. “The Nuremberg trials properly prosecuted forced abortion as a crime against humanity. We don’t second guess. It’s hideous. Pregnant women without birth permits are hunted down. There are no single moms in China. It is illegal to have brothers or sisters. Picture all the people who have brothers and sisters—all the people you know who have brothers and sisters would be breaking the law in China.”

Smith noted that shortly after becoming U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton stated clearly that she was not going to allow human rights to ‘interfere’ with economic issues with China, a clear sign the Obama Administration was downgrading human rights as a priority.

“Obama didn’t say a word about any of the human rights crimes of Chinese President Hu Jintao when he visited Washington earlier this year; instead he hosted a state dinner for him.”

Smith, a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee who chairs its subcommittee on human rights, said as far back as 1984 Congress took away funding that provided U.S. financial support for the one Child Policy.

“The Vice President said he ‘fully understood’ the one child policy, and therefore he’s not ‘second guessing.’ The one child per couple policy is cruel, inhumane and the most egregious systematic attack on women ever. For the Vice President to publically state that he fully understands the one child policy is unconscionable. He and all of us should be defending the women of China from this state-sponsored cruelty of forced abortion and forced sterilization, not supporting and enabling it. Chinese women need advocates, not enablers. This Administration has long enabled this cruel policy by its silence and financial support for organizations like UNFPA that support the Chinese government’s brutal program. Tragically, it now offers its public support, as well.”

Smith earlier this year asked Clinton at a congressional hearing if she knew if forced abortions were brought up at meetings between Obama and Hu, to which she replied she did not know.

“Now we know,” Smith said. “They sold out. They’re just fine with the coercion.”

Smith recounted the recent congressional testimony of Chai Ling one of the Tiananmen Square democracy activists in 1989. Today she is Founder and President of All Girls Allowed, a group dedicated to ending the slaughter of innocent unborn babies in China that disproportionately impacts far more girls than boys.

“At a congressional press conference in June, Chai Ling pointed out that tens of millions of men will never marry in China due to the effects of gendercide, and that already there are some 37 million more males than females,” Smith said. “She then said sadly that the three most dangerous words—often a death sentence in China today are, ‘It’s a girl.’
“Since 1979, brothers and sisters have been illegal in most of China,” Smith said. “If a woman is caught pregnant without explicit government authorization to give birth, she is forced to abort. Unwed mothers are all compelled to abort. Handicapped unborn children, if discovered, are killed by the state. Ruinous fines—up to ten times the combined salary of both parents—jail, torture, property confiscation, loss of employment, education opportunities, housing and health care are all weapons aggressively used by the family planning cadres to ensure compliance. No wonder over 500 Chinese women commit suicide each day in China.”

In his statement, Biden talked about the other set of concerns about the one-child policy — demographic — in that China will increasingly have similar problems to the United States in terms of paying for entitlements to the growing number of people retiring who will need government support to make ends meet and a smaller population of younger workers able to take care of those obligations.

“But as I was talking to some of your leaders, you share a similar concern here in China. You have no safety net,” Biden said in the prepared remarks. “Your policy has been one which I fully understand — I’m not second-guessing — of one child per family. The result being that you’re in a position where one wage earner will be taking care of four retired people. Not sustainable.”

“So hopefully we can act in a way on a problem that’s much less severe than yours, and maybe we can learn together from how we can do that,” he continued.
Although he highlighted the demographic concerns, his statement that the United States is “not second-guessing” the forced-abortion, one-child policy and his essentially ignoring the forced abortions, sterilizations and other human rights abuses that accompany it, will surely upset pro-life advocates who have campaigned extensively against the one-child policy and supported the victims of it.

As Smith noted, the speech represents a second missed opportunity for the Obama administration to present a clear position against the policy that is one of the most egregious global human rights abuses in modern times.

Biden’s comments follow a visit earlier this year from China President Hu Jintao, where President Barack Obama apparently failed to ask the foreign leader about the problem of forced abortions on Chinese women. Ask during a U.S. House hearing, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton couldn’t say whether Obama brought up the massive human rights abuse millions of Chinese women endure if they break the country’s one-child family planning rules.

Canadian privacy Czar: Google broke Canadian privacy laws

Posted in Big Brother, Privacy with tags , , , , , on October 19, 2010 by saynsumthn

The Canadian Press

OTTAWA — Canada’s privacy commissioner says the world’s most popular search engine knows too much about Canadians.

Jennifer Stoddart says Google broke Canadian privacy laws when it accidentally collected personal information from unsecured wireless networks while putting together its Street View mapping service.

An investigation by Stoddart’s office found complete emails, addresses, usernames, passwords and even a list that provided the names of people suffering from certain medical conditions was collected.

Stoddart says an engineer’s careless error is at fault for the privacy breach.

In their response to Stoddart’s findings, the company said it had no intention to use the data and would keep it safe until all investigations are complete.

But Stoddart said Google must also beef up privacy training and controls.
