Miss America gets political: promotes Planned Parenthood attacks Trump

In what appears to be a statement by the Miss America competition in favor of Planned Parenthood they created a meme from part of an inaccurate answer Miss Tennessee gave about the abortion business.

A meme created by the Miss America Org and tweeted by the beauty pageant highlighted the answer given by Hannah Robison, Miss Tennessee 2015 who claimed that Planned Parenthood did mammograms after being asked by judge Venessa Williams if Planned Parenthood should be defunded:

“I don’t think Planned Parenthood funding should be cut off. The $500 million dollars that gets given to Planned Parenthood every single year goes to female care. It goes for scanning for cancer. It goes for mammograms. And, if we don’t get that funding to Planned Parenthood those women will be out of health care for reproductive causes.”

Shortly after – Twitter went crazy:

Planned Parenthood, which has been accused by the Center for Medical Progress for the selling and harvesting of aborted baby body parts, is hardly a friend to women.

The organization has repeatedly covered for the sexual abuse of children. something I helped document in a report published by Life Dynamics here.

In addition, I also helped put together a list of women killed by legal abortion at the www.safeandlegal.com website.

A look at the story of Tonya Reaves, a 24-year-old Black women, reveals that Planned Parenthood left her bleeding rather than getting her emergency care. As a result- she died from an abortion Planned Parenthood performed on her.

Miss Alabama Trump

Miss Alabama Meg McGuffin , who finished as the Fourth Runner Up in the Miss America 2016 pageant went after Donald Trump during her question and answer period:

“I think Donald Trump is an entertainer and I think he says what’s on a lot of peoples’ minds, but I think the Republican party should be absolutely terrified of all the attention that he is taking from incredible candidates like Jeb Bush and Chris Christie who could absolutely do the job of President of the United States. If I were Republican I would be absolutely terrified of that.”

There was even a question about cheating and Tom Brady:

When Miss Mississippi was asked, “Does an order to issue same-sex marriage licenses violate religious freedom?” she replied;

Miss Mississippi

“It absolutely does not violate her religious freedom.”

That was directed at Kim Davis, a simple clerk in Kentucky who was ordered to jail by a judge after she refused to issue marriage licenses because the licenses (even those her clerks would issue would have her name on them.) Davis claimed that the law in the state required her to support traditional man/woman marriage and that homosexual marriage violated her deeply held religious beliefs. She was recently released after spending several days behind bars for contempt of court.

Women union parade goers turn on Hillary: ‘I Just Don’t Trust Her’

On Kyle Olson, ventured to a union event in the blue-collar town of Muskegon, Michigan to gauge members’ tastes in presidential candidates.

Kyle Olson Michigan

Muskegon is middle America — the “middle of the middle,” one person said.

Olson talked to several people at the Muskegon, Michigan Labor Day Union Parade!

The Parade, which is only two union-focused Labor Day parades in the state of Michigan, consisted of over 800 participants and 42 labor unions, non-profits, veterans groups and local politicians.

Hillary has promoted herself as an advocate for women yet some Michigan union parade goers are opposed to Hillary for president saying they do not trust her.

Olson asked parade attendees, many of them women, “What do you think of Hillary Clinton?”

Some told Olson they supported her others seemed to be past supporters who have changed their minds on voting for her.

“I would probably end up voting for Hillary, but I am interested in a lot of the things Bernie Sanders is saying,” said one Hillary supporter.

Another added, “I voted in the primaries last time around for Hillary, I was a Hillary supporter. She’s disappointed me a little bit. I think she’s waffled on some things…” Those things included gay marriage and abortion.

One woman derided Hillary Clinton as changing her mind and added that she doesn’t trust her.

“I don’t trust her at all – I just don’t – she changes her mind every minute. She plays a lot of underhanded games. I think she could do it, I don’t think that I want her to do it,” she said.

A man attending the union day parade said he was for Hillary because he felt she could glean experience from former president and her husband, Bill Clinton in a co-presidency type of role.

Pastors sign open letter to SCOTUS over Marriage

Posted in Church, Gay Marriage Opposed, homosexuality, Supreme Court with tags , , , , , , , on June 19, 2015 by saynsumthn

A broad coalition of Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox Christian, and Jewish leaders joined by civic and business leaders from around the nation have signed an open letter to the U.S. Supreme Court vowing they will not honor any decision by the Supreme Court that would force them to violate the biblical understanding of marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

Pastors sign letter against Homosexual Marriage Texas

The letter was published in an ad in the Washington Post and was signed by many prominent pastors and Christian leaders, many from Texas, including: Pastor Robert Jeffress at First Baptist Church Dallas, Pastor Robert Morris at Gateway Church in Southlake, Pastor Charles Hagee at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Pastor Gregg Matte at Houston’s First Baptist Church, and Pastor Steve Riggle at Grace Church in Houston.

Here is a portion of the letter:

We are Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox Christian pastors, clergy, lay leaders and Jewish leaders, who collectively represent millions of people in our specific churches, parishes, denominations, synagogues and media ministry outreaches. Marriage transcends our various theological differences and unites us together in one voice.

We affirm that any judicial opinion which purports to redefine marriage will constitute an unjust law, as Martin Luther King Jr. described such laws in his letter from the Birmingham Jail.

We are Christians who love America and who respect the legitimate rule of law.

However, we will not honor any decision by the Supreme Court which will force us to violate a clear biblical understanding of marriage as solely the union of one man and one woman.

Marco Rubio there is no federal Constitution right to same-sex marriage

Marco Rubio – SCOTUS would have to have a ridiculous and absurd reading….

The Supreme Court will begin to hear arguments in the case, Obergefell v. Hodges, on Tuesday, and will most likely announce in June whether to uphold a state’s right to ban same-sex marriage.
