Planned Parenthood has a history of failing to protect patient privacy under HIPAA

Posted in Center for Medical Progress, HIPPA, Planned Parenthood HPPA with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on November 28, 2017 by saynsumthn

Americans are told that abortion is a “right” based on privacy. But when abortion providers like Planned Parenthood violate the privacy of women, abortion-friendly media and politicians are silent.

Planned Parenthood receives half a billion dollars annually from taxpayers and claims the majority of these dollars are Medicaid reimbursements. According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), recipients of government programs that pay for health care, like Medicaid, must comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act known as HIPAA.

But is Planned Parenthood following HIPAA laws? Multiple instances of privacy breaches at Planned Parenthood say no.

The latest video released by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) further confirms what many already know all too well: when it comes to the privacy of abortion patients, Planned Parenthood is anything but trustworthy. Former Stem Express procurement technician, Holly O’Donnell, told CMP that Planned Parenthood revealed private patient medical information to third party contractors at fetal tissue procurement agency StemExpress in order to meet the company’s quotas for harvesting body parts from Planned Parenthood abortions:

O’Donnell said Planned Parenthood staff provided StemExpress contractors with private medical information of pregnant women coming into Planned Parenthood: “We’d go to the head nurse, let the nurses know, hey, this is what I’m looking for today. They’d give you a sheet of the appointments, which women were coming in, and it would tell you how many patients, what time they were coming in, their name, and if they knew how far along they were.”

Clearly, disclosing patient names is a violation of HIPAA.

According to HHS, the Privacy Rule protects all “individually identifiable health information held or transmitted by a covered entity or its business associate, in any form or media, whether electronic, paper, or oral… Individually identifiable health information includes many common identifiers (e.g., name, address, birth date, Social Security Number).”

In 2016, the Washington Times reported, “The day before abortions were scheduled to take place… StemExpress was notified by fax by the clinics and granted medical files on individual patients.” O’Donnell told CMP that Planned Parenthood handed over a list of patient names and other private information to third party contractors before these patients signed a consent to release their personal information.

O’Donnell also reveals that Planned Parenthood gave StemExpress access to patient medical charts and even to the clinics’ computer network to download patient schedules across the entire Planned Parenthood affiliate. Emails from StemExpress management instruct procurement technicians: “EVERY Friday – please provide schedules for all the clinics you work in,” and, “All computers have access to other clinics.”

While this should shock politicians and media alike, tragically, accusations of carelessness and lack of concern for patient privacy at Planned Parenthood is not new.

In September of 2016, Live Action News released a two-part series exposing the way Planned Parenthood and the general abortion industry recklessly handles patient privacy. In those reports were documented case after case where Planned Parenthood was given a slap on the wrist for violating patient privacy — and in the cases reviewed at that time, no civil penalties had been issued.

CMS states that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights “enforces the HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules. Violations may result in civil monetary penalties. In some cases, criminal penalties enforced by the U.S. Department of Justice may apply.”

Breaches expose thousands of individuals

1. Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho (PPGWNI): 10,700 individuals exposed

A review of archived privacy breaches on file with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR), which affect more than 500 patients, reveals that in August 2016, Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho (PPGWNI), reported a breach which exposed 10,700 individuals.

2. Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio: 5,000 individuals exposed

Another breach report states that on October 1, 2014, Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio disposed of binders containing protected health information (PHI) for 5000 individuals, including names, dates of birth, lab results, and medications. Exactly what occurred in the privacy breach? Planned Parenthood’s archived prescription dispensing logs and waived lab test logs were left in an unlocked closet after business hours and a custodian mistakenly put them in a trash dumpster. The following morning, the dumpster was emptied by the trash collector, who took it to be buried with other garbage at a landfill that same day. And, as Planned Parenthood often claims it does when it violates government requirements, Planned Parenthood told the OCR that they conducted an investigation and re-trained all staff regarding HIPAA policies and procedures.

3. Planned Parenthood of the Heartland: 2,506 individuals exposed

Still under investigation is a July 2016 breach report reported by Planned Parenthood of the Heartland. This breach for “Unauthorized Access/Disclosure” affected 2,506 individuals. No additional information is available from OCR; however, HIPAA Journal reported the following:

The health center permanently closed its doors to patients this April year and the premises was listed for sale and was sold. However, hard copies of patient files were left in the Dubuque health center. In April 2016, individuals entered the medical center and could potentially have viewed and/or copied patient files. The potential breach was discovered by Planned Parenthood on May 6, 2016. The files have now been removed from the premises and have been secured. Planned Parenthood said this was an isolated incident and is not representative of the stringent privacy standards usually maintained by the healthcare organization.

Health Care Compliance Association summarized another case where Planned Parenthood violated privacy of a patient.  In January 2017, HCCA wrote, “a complaint filed against Planned Parenthood alleged that an employee posted a description of the procedure the individual had performed at the clinic on the individual’s public Facebook page.”

In response, HCCA states, “OCR sent Planned Parenthood the regulatory section on reasonable safeguards
and encouraged it to “assess and determine whether there may have been noncompliance… and if so, to take steps to ensure such noncompliance does not occur in the future.”

Other breaches

In addition to those listed above, the following are known instances of privacy breaches at Planned Parenthood:

  • California Planned Parenthood patient reported that following her visit, she received two text messages from an anonymous number, reading, “Damn, you have an STD WOW.”
  • Napa Planned Parenthood receptionist admitted to state officials that she had looked at private patient records because she was curious.
  • Alleged Planned Parenthood patient wrote online, “a worker there told a family member of mine about my privacy.”
  • In 2011, OCR received a complaint alleging that a worker at Planned Parenthood in New York “impermissibly disclosed” the complainant’s health information to her sister’s friend.
  • In 2012, a complainant informed the governing body that she had received a call from Planned Parenthood of Northeast Ohio asking her to contact them regarding recent test results. During the call, it was determined that she was not the correct patient.
  • In 2013, OCR was notified that Planned Parenthood of Delaware violated the Federal Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information.
  • That same year, Melody Meanor, the former Health Center Manager of Family Planning at Planned Parenthood of Delaware in Wilmington went public to expose the center’s privacy policies. A video and transcript of her statement is available online.
  • In 2013, a complaint was filed against a Planned Parenthood in Chicago, Illinois, which alleged that an employee impermissibly disclosed her private health information to a third party on Facebook.
  • complaint received by OCR in 2014 alleged that a Planned Parenthood in Trexlertown, Pennsylvania, violated the Federal Standards for Privacy Identifiable Health Information after sending a bill for a patient to the wrong person.
  • A 2014 complaint filed with the Texas Medical Board by former Planned Parenthood director, Abby Johnson, alleges that a Texas Planned Parenthood e-mailed their abortionist the ultrasound information of their patients — but not in encrypted form.
  • TAB, a records management company working with PPFA for over a decade, identified what they called “some serious problems” with the records of Planned Parenthood of Illinois, which oversees 17 branch locations.

In CMP’s video interview, O’Donnell tells David Daleiden that she has witnessed her colleagues log onto Planned Parenthood’s computers. O’Donnell provided copies of e-mails to CMP to support her claims.

“They would let us look at the physical charts outside the room,” O’Donnell stated, claiming that she was even asked to write in a Planned Parenthood patient’s chart, which she says she refused to do.

So much for privacy at Planned Parenthood.

Pro-life response to New York Times call to censor anti-abortion message

Posted in Media Bias, Media Matters with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on November 20, 2017 by saynsumthn

New York Times writer calls for Facebook to censor pro-life message

New York Times (NYT) writer Rossalyn Warren is calling for Facebook to censor pro-life news sites like Live Action News and Life News. In an opinion piece entitled, “Facebook Is Ignoring Anti-Abortion Fake News,” Warren failed to publish any credible research which would rebut a single story published by these two entities, but still thinks they need to be censored, based on her own personal bias.

The NYT describes Warren as a “journalist” but in this case, it is obvious that her pro-abortion bias has overruled everything else. Warren writes, “So far, Facebook and the public have focused almost solely on politics and Russian interference in the United States election. What they haven’t addressed is the vast amount of misinformation and evidenced stories about reproductive rights, science and health.”

To clarify, what Warren means by “reproductive rights” is abortion; what she means by “science and health” is not the truth about when life begins, when a preborn baby’s heartbeat can be detected, or any actual science about the development of the baby or the harm effects of abortion on women. No, that is conveniently ignored by pro-abortion apologists like Warren. Apparently, in an opinion piece, one doesn’t have to any present facts.

Rossalyn Warren wants to censor pro-life news (image: Twitter)

The only reasoning Warren offers for censoring pro-life outlets is the fact that Live Action recently ran a series of articles on the documentary film Hush, made by pro-choice filmmaker Punam Kumar Gill, who refused to blindly believe what she was told about the harmful effects of abortion; instead, the film documents her investigation of the claims about a link between abortion and breast cancer. Warren failed to dispute in any way the film’s research, which was heavily sourced.

To Warren, Gill’s research is “fake news” — yet Warren offers absolutely no proof whatsoever for her conclusion. Yet, ironically, in her piece, Warren criticizes a 2016 blog story on late-term abortions for “failing to cite any sources or studies.”

Warren believes pro-life news sites (already being censored by Twitter) should now be censored by Facebook because they are ideologically driven (as if her views are not):

However, the incentive for the people who write content for anti-abortion news sites and Facebook pages is ideological, not financial. Anti-abortion, anti-science content isn’t being written by spammers hoping to make money, but by ordinary people who are driven by religious or political beliefs. Their aim isn’t to profit from ads. It’s to convince readers of their viewpoint: that abortion is morally wrong….

Well, it’s hard not to view this as morally wrong, once you’ve seen it:

Warren’s use of the term “anti-abortion” is interesting, and reveals Warren’s own ideology herself — as does her Facebook page

Here is Warren “lov[ing]” Polish women who strike against their country’s abortion ban:

Rossalyn Warren loves women who support abortion (image: Facebook)

And here is Warren when Victoria (in Australia) voted to limit protests outside abortion clinics, calling it “amazing news”:

Rossalyn Warren favors limiting abortion protests

To Warren, it’s a “big deal for access to abortion”:

Rossalyn Warren favors abortion rights

Here is Warren sharing a post from ideologically driven Think Progress, a left-wing news site that is radically in support of abortion. Warren clearly takes the pro-abortion position. (No calls from Warren for Facebook to censor Think Progress, by the way.)

Rossalyn Warren shares ThinkProgress’ pro-abortion post

And finally, Warren seems to think “more people need to see” an image of a woman who supports the nation’s largest abortion corporation, Planned Parenthood.

Rossalyn Warren supporting Planned Parenthood (image: Facebook)

Warren, while failing to state her own pro-abortion bias, wants readers to think she is actually concerned about “fake news.” But she gives herself away when she explains why she thinks Facebook should censor pro-life speech. It’s because, as she says, pro-life sites “dominate the conversation about reproductive rights on Facebook” with what she calls “dodgy studies and scaremongering” which she believes is “drowning out people’s access to credible, researched reporting on abortion.”

“Credible, researched reporting” on abortion? Apparently only groups that agree with Warren are considered credible — groups that promote abortion and are absolutely ideologically driven (though they agree with her). If Warren is truly concerned about ideologically driven “fake news,” as she calls it, then surely she should urge Facebook to censor other ideologically driven sites like Media Matters (where her sources originate), Think Progress, Rewire, or Guttmacher — a former “special affiliate” to abortion corporation Planned Parenthood. If we’re going to censor ideologically driven outlets, we may be censoring almost everything.

Warren insists, “These [pro-life] sites produce vast amounts of misinformation,” she claims, while admitting she got her information from the pro-abortion site Media Matters. She complains (emphasis added), “… stories [from pro-life sources] often generate more engagement than the content produced by mainstream news organizations, said Sharon Kann, the program director for abortion rights and reproductive health at Media Matters, a watchdog group.”

While Warren railed against pro-life news sites for using (in her words) “thinly sourced stories,” she did exactly the same thing, using a claim from pro-abortion staff member Sharon Kann at Media Matters as “evidence” of her claims. According to Kann’s LinkedIn page, the Media Matters “researcher” volunteered for two abortion facilities: Planned Parenthood South Atlantic and the Emma Goldman Clinic. So she’s hardly unbiased. But that doesn’t seem to matter to Warren.

Rossalyn Warren attacks pro-life news sites in NYT

As you can see, Warren omits the fact that the videos (and their claims) posted by Live Action were actually made by an independent filmmaker, not Live Action; she says none of this, deliberately misleading readers.

Sharon Kann volunterred at Planned Parenthood abortion clinic (image: LinkedIn)

According to Kann (the abortion facility volunteer), “People on Facebook engage with anti-abortion content more than abortion-rights content at a “disproportionate rate…” And there’s Warren’s real problem.

In the minds of people like Warren and those at Media Matters, which openly admits it is a “progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media,” you’re only credible if you hold a favorable view of abortion.

But Media Matters, founded by David Brock, described by Politico as “the self-described reformed right-wing hitman who became a key figure in Hillary Clinton’s unsuccessful presidential campaign,” is not impartial. Brock openly supported Hillary Clinton for president and has been described as “a prominent strategist with a web of liberal groups.” His secret meetings have included representatives from several pro-abortion groups, such as “Stephanie Schriock of Emily’s List, Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood, and Ilyse Hogue of NARAL Pro-Choice.”

Rossalyn Warren (image: Twitter)

Brock’s strategy for defeating his foes includes pressuring Facebook and other social media outlets to “adjust its model to stem the flow of damaging fake news on its platform’s pages.” Brock’s document claims that “journalists” like Ms. Warren will “weaponize our research products to… take action against… the extremists seeking to manipulate it.”

Warren believes that you and I should not have a say in which news we choose to read. Instead, “credible articles about abortion” should only come from “reputable news outlets like the New York Times….” But the “credible” New York Times isn’t so credible. NYT, among other media outlets, reported (without question) Planned Parenthood’s deceptive claims that they would retrain staffers after they were caught offering assistance to an undercover actor posing as a sex trafficker.

It was Live Action News — not Ms. Warren or the NYT — which documented how a Planned Parenthood insider revealed that Planned Parenthood’s “retraining” never happened. And it was Live Action News which also documented how Planned Parenthood’s lied about contacting local authorities about suspected sex traffickers — while the NYT and other outlets never bothered to fact-check.

Warren’s claim that pro-life news receives a higher view rate is not sourced, but if it is true, the reason is simple: people are trending more pro-life, and Warren is bothered by that, so she and her allies resort to cries for censorship — not of their own, ideologically driven “fake news,” but of news they don’t agree with.

Hillary supports baby harvesting abortion biz Planned Parenthood AGAIN!

Posted in Hillary clinton with tags , , , , , , on September 21, 2015 by saynsumthn

A sponsored ad on Facebook from the Hillary Clinton campaign is asking people to support Planned Parenthood which kills babies in the womb and then harvests their body parts.

The ad, which takes to to HillaryClinton.com reads:

The Republican attack on Planned Parenthood is a full on assault on women’s health. Add your name to fight back!

Hilly CLinton FB PP

The Center for Medical Progress has been publishing horrific under cover videos of Planned Parenthood doctors haggling over the price of organs harvested from aborted babies. They have also been heard describing how they will crush the babies above and below the desired organs to preserve organs they view are more valuable than the whole unborn baby.

Hillary, is a long time supporter of abortion and Planned Parenthood and once praised their racist founder, Margaret Sanger.

So, it is no surprise to pro-lifers that Hillary is defending Planned Parenthood today.

Hillary Planned Parenthood

The Democratic presidential hopeful is all about abortion even defending the gruesome partial birth abortion act.

In fact, she would rather defend elephants from having the ivory from their tusks harvested than unborn human babies in the womb.

Shameful!

End child killing- end abortion – all abortions NOW!

Facebook blocks post on Planned Parenthood’s grisly baby part sales as Carly Fiorina calls it an outrage

2016 presidential hopeful and the only GOP female contender in the race, Carly Fiorina, has spoken out against Planned Parenthood selling aborted baby parts.

zegtPbj3

In post on her Facebook page, Fiorina writes, “I am proudly pro-life. I believe that every human life has potential and that every human life is precious. This latest news is tragic and outrageous. This isn’t about “choice.” It’s about profiting on the death of the unborn while telling women it’s about empowerment.

The shocking details of the body parts investigation was revealed today by the Center for Medical Progress.

The video uploaded by the group showed a Planned Parenthood doctor who believed that she was at a business lunch with buyers from a human biologics company. Instead, she was speaking openly with investigative “actors” from the Center for Medical Progress.

The conversation detailed pricing as well as how the abortion giant would extract fetal body parts including hearts, lungs, and livers among others.

The shocking three year undercover investigation, dubbed the “Human Capital Project”, was conducted by the The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) and directed by CMP project lead David Daleiden who says he much more to release.

Of course, rather than being outraged as most Americans are with selling aborted baby parts, one abortion advocate on Carly’s page posted this:

Carly, what about aborting in the case of rape? What is your stance on that? BTW… Planned Parenthood does a lot more than JUST abortions. How many abortions are done at the medical group you have your medical care?

The statement was quickly rebuffed by pro-lifers:

Carly Fiorina Planned Parenthopod aborted baby prochoice

Meanwhile, Dr. Russell Moore who is the Dean of the School of Theology and Senior Vice-President for Academic Administration at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary claims that Facebook blocked his post about the grisly operation.

Russell Moore blocked

He then sent out this message, “Dear @Facebook, what is “abusive” about protesting Planned Parenthood’s human trafficking?”

Russell Moore Facebook blocked Planned Parenthood

Facebook has now permitted Dr. Moore’s article.

On his blog, detailing his shock at the video and what it detailed, Dr. Moore wrote this, For years, many of us have called on government leaders to see to it that no taxpayer funds, of any kind, go to Planned Parenthood. Is it not clear that these are not health-care providers but pirates and grave-robbers of those who have no graves? The Department of Justice and the United States Congress should undertake a thorough investigation of this.”

Facebook reverses ban on mom’s pics of baby born w/o nose while pro-life ban remains

REPUBLISHING FROM THE LIFE DYNAMICS BLOG: (With permission)

The mother of a baby born without a nose whose image was banned from Facebook says their decision to ban her posts has been reversed.

Eli born without a nose 8874195131033237630_n

In late March, Life Dynamics published the story of Eli, whose parents called him perfect even though he was born without a nose.

Timothy Eli Thompson was born on March 4, without any sinus cavities or nasal cavities – a condition so rate that it only has a one in 197 million chance of occurring.

Shortly after Life Dynamics published the blog on Eli, the pro-life media began to tell Eli’s story.

When the group Live Action published a story on Eli, Facebook told the pro-life group that it could not be promoted in an ad on the social media site because “the image or video thumbnail may shock or evoke a negative response from viewers.”

Eli Facebook Live Action

Eli’s mom, Brandi McGlathery, quickly posted a link on her Facebook page to the Life News story about her son’s image where she condemned Facebook, “Excuse my language, Brandi began her post.

“but I’ll be damned if Facebook keeps me from sharing my baby’s story! It sickens me that I can see pictures of half naked women, drugs, & negativity, but my child is too “controversial”. What has happened to humanity?” she said.

But, Live Action was not the only ones asked to remove Eli’s pictures.

According to reports, Facebook also asked Eli’s mother to remove his pictures.

In addition to Facebook’s reaction, Eli’s mother said she also received a messages asking why she did not have an abortion:

That took a lot of maturity to not respond the way that the mom in me wanted to!” Brandi told WKRG.

Now, Brandi has reported that Facebook’s ban has been lifted after users complained and the story was shared an astonishing 30,000 times in just six hours.

Although Eli’s mother says that Facebook has reversed their decision regarding her posts on Eli, Life Dynamics has confirmed that Live Action has not received a reversal from the social media site regarding their ads promoting Eli’s story.

This is only a partial victory.

A pro-choice person on Facebook messaged the mother of a baby born without a nose asking why she did not abort him.

Eli Thompson Baby born without a nose

Brandi McGlathery, the mother of Eli Thompson, born March 4, without any sinus cavities or nasal cavities posted the hateful message to a Facebook page she created for Eli’s supporters.

The message suggested that Brandi should have aborted Eli calling the newborn, Ugly!

The hateful pro-abortion message read, “he’s so ugly don’t you wish you would have had an abortion…give that thing up for adoption.”

Brandi told WKRG that her message was tempered, “That took a lot of maturity to not respond the way that the mom in me wanted to!” she said.

What a rude and heartless girl. Eli is beautiful! Every life is a blessing,” one supporter wrote.

OMG, that is so disgusting! Eli is a gorgeous wee man and don’t let anyone tell you any differently,” said another.

Still others were very angry, “Wtf??? Sorry for the language but are you kidding me right now? She is a hateful person how dare her. She’s lucky I don’t know her name I’m in the mood to kick some ass right now! Your son is a precious angel from God!”

“I can’t even fathom a heart that ugly” said another supporter, “I love him so much even though I don’t know him and probably never will. My heart aches for you and him for all the mean, nasty, and mostly just plain ignorant comments you’ll hear. You will always be in my prayers.”

It really makes me sad that some people are that clueless, rude and ignorant. Every child is a miracle from God, regardless of their looks, disability, race etc……Much love and respect to you and your family,” writes another.

Others uploaded copies of messages they sent to the pro-abort in response:

Singer sensation Kimberly Henderson’s abortion story gone viral

Posted in Babies, Baby saved from abortion with tags , , , , , , , , , , on March 18, 2015 by saynsumthn

This week, singer sensation Kimberly Henderson posted a message on her Facebook page which revealed that when she was pregnant with her daughter, Vaida, she had scheduled an abortion but eventually walked out of the clinic.

Now her story has gone viral and her song is trending song on iTunes and her Facebook post has already reached 28 million people.

Kimberly Hendersaon and daughter abortion

Her fame began in December of 2014 when Kimberly’s video showing her singing a lullaby to her baby went viral on Facebook.

Kimberly and her baby 2

Kimberly writes, “Two years ago today I was sitting in an abortion clinic thinking not having Vaida was best for me.

“People remember dates for birthdays, and anniversaries. Well this date is forever burned in my brain. It’s a day that I will remember and I remember every single detail of that day. I think that is Gods way of showing me that HIS plan is and will always be greater and bigger than anything and everything I’ve ever known.

I sat in the abortion clinic for nearly 7 hours. I remember wearing a pink t shirt that was soaking wet from crying. Below is my post from that day and I remember crying the entire time I was writing it. I hope that by sharing this that it touches someone”.

“Today I was at the abortion clinic. I had my mind made up. My boyfriend was cheating on me. I have small kids, what will people think?? I kept telling myself I’m all alone I need to do this. Sitting there.. I could hardly make out anyone or anything through the tears. People were eating fast food around me, laughing, texting. I on the other hand was a wreck. I kept my face down, my face was drenched in tears. I kept telling and giving myself every reason to go through with this even though I did not believe in it. I kept saying I’m on birth control this could not happen..I kept trying to justify it. But my heart was heavy. I felt like I was about to make a horrible horrible decision and God was giving me signs to not do it.. I woke up this morning, my daughter was sick I had to find a sitter, I got lost, my car broke down for about 15 mins and I got here late but they still got me in. I prayed God would stop and give me a sign, give me the strength to get up and walk out of here..

<em>The lady called me to the desk. Last step before you go back. I fumbled through my wallet to find my drivers license and out fell a card a couple left on the table Saturday night when I was working… It had their church name on it.. On the back was a common verse…

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

“I knew God was speaking to me.

“Two of my best friends called me just in time and said the most comforting things. “I will be there for you..There’s a reason God gave you that gift.”

“I told the lady I changed my mind. As I was about to walk out. A young girl no older than probably 19 says to me..”Are you going to do it?” I told her I couldn’t.. She said..”I wish I could be brave like you..” I told her she was brave and she could do the same thing. She said she had to do it because of some serious circumstances.. As I turned around she said..”When you see your baby’s face for the first time you’re gonna be so glad you walked out of here today.”

“Pouring tears I walked out and felt a huge weight off my shoulders. No matter what your circumstances are God doesn’t make mistakes and he is here for you”.

Kimberly continued, “I remember the enormous amount of relief and strength I felt when I walked out those doors. No guilt. No shame. No regrets. I remember feeling that this all… This all has to mean something one day. My daughter Vaida Everly has a purpose. Her name means beautiful life. And lord she is just that.. A beautiful life. After a scary pregnancy, and after countless weak moments thinking I just could not do this by myself.. September 12 2013 I welcomed my beautiful Vaida Everly into this world with both my best friends by my side. I remember seeing her for the first time and bursting into tears. And engraved in my head were the words that girl told me before leaving the clinic that day. “When you see your baby’s face for the first time you are going to be so happy you walked out of here today..” She was beyond right. 6lbs 4oz of pure perfection and no matter what pain I felt physically andemotionally…

“She gave me a feeling of joy that I can’t even explain. A kind of joy that if a war was going on outside I wouldn’t even know it. I am so in love.
My once tiny 6lb baby is now 18lbs. Full of life. Full of energy. Loves to laugh. Loves to smile.

“And last but not least she is that beautiful baby girl I was singing to at midnight in the kitchen. The video that has touched millions of people all over the world. Singing to her in our kitchen for a memory keep sake is the reason our entire life is about to change. For the good. For the better. She was meant to be here.

“I’m so lucky.

The 26-year-old mom has recently released her original song: “Tiny Hearts” — a beautiful ballad about her experiences as a single parent.

Kimberly Henderson‘s viral video “Tiny Hearts” has already received over one million hits on YouTube.

Watch it below.

Comments left Kimberly’s Facebook post shows several stories of women who chose life just like she did and well worth reading. Here are a few examples:

Janae writes, “I too sat in an abortion clinic ready to end my 8 week pregnancy . For reasons I will never know the clinic could not find my baby on ultrasound. I went to a hospital and there she was plain as day . The second I saw that little grain of rice flickering I knew I was having my baby . She’s almost 3 now and I will always remember that day in August I almost never had the love of my life

I am 11 weeks pregnant, 21 years old and I am a single mother of a beautiful 2 year old boy. His father is not around AT ALL and wont ve for this child either. This and the other stories in the comments have changed my whole view of my pregnancy and THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH. I was going to terminate…. I’m bawling an ugly cry with arunny nose and a smile at the same time. You’re all strong and such a blessing to me and this baby,” writes Emm.

“I can definitely relate. I was at a clinic on February 1st 2014. When I walked out I felt like God hugged me.”

Wow! What a testimony! A little over 31 years ago, I sat in a well known clinic here in Dallas facing the same decision. I was 16 years old and the eldest of four children being raised by a single mother. I felt everything you described in addition to enormous guilt over adding to my mother’s burden. I squirmed and cried and hung my head in shame. When they called my name the 4th time, my eyes locked with my Mom’s and she said, let’s get out of here! In May, he’ll be 31 years old. In December, he became a father,” says Ramona.

Kaylee says, “9 years ago, I too sat in Planned Parenthood contemplating an abortion. Getting pregnant at 21 and knowing my parents would be so disappointed with me, I thought for a moment I could get the abortion and no one would ever know. Then I thought about Crisis Pregnancy Center and their baby models at each state of growth. Thru much inner turmoil, I decided to keep it. Now she is 8 1/2 yrs old, smart, beautiful, compassionate, and such a blessing! I can’t imagine my life without her!”

After Kimberly’s story went viral she posted this message o Facebook:

In a little over 24 hours my post has reached 28 MILLION people and will be hitting ONE million likes soon. I can’t believe how many people my testimony has touched! How amazing is that!!?

I can’t even tell you the number of messages I’ve received from women that were in my very same position at some moment in their lives. The messages I’ve received telling me how much of an impact my testimony has made in their life right now. Life changing messages and I am so shocked and thankful at the amazing response.

I decided to share something personal. Something that was embarrassing and something that I am still til this day not proud of. My purpose wasn’t to get people to congratulate me on making that decision to change my mind. I shared it for the sole purpose of helping others.

It wasn’t easy… We all know that when you put yourself out there people will try and tear you down. But like I said in my earlier post. I was prepared for that. I will take the negativity if it means helping someone that was where I was 2 years ago.

I think if more people opened up about things we aren’t “supposed” to talk about or aren’t allowed to talk about then maybe more women wouldn’t feel so alone. When my daughter gets older I will tell her this same very story. Because it is our story.

I also want you guys to know that your support mean the world to us and I am so humbled. I am so glad that I get to share this amazing journey with amazing people. I promise I will try and get back to every message I have
    received. I love you all.

PS: My picture has been reported several times but was found to not violate any facebook rules. I’ve also had messages from people to remove it. There is no political statement here in my post nor am I judging or putting down others. I’m just sharing MY own personal experience here.
