Shame: Abortion supporters to raise $$ off Justice Scalia’s death

Posted in Supreme Court with tags , , , , , , on February 18, 2016 by saynsumthn

It only took minutes before abortion supports trounced on the tragic loss of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia who ruled in favor of pro-life laws.

Scalia

Saturday, CNN reported the unexpected death of the Conservative justice:

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, the leading conservative voice on the high court, has died at the age of 79, a government source and a family friend told CNN on Saturday…Scalia died in his sleep during a visit to Texas. A government official said Scalia went to bed Friday night and told friends he wasn’t feeling well. He didn’t get up for breakfast on Saturday morning, and the group he was with for a hunting trip left without him.

Scalia and Reagan

Scalia was named to the high court in 1986 by then President Ronald Reagan and he took his seat September 26, 1986.

Rubio Scalia

2016 Presidential GOP candidate, Senator Marco Rubio responded by tweeting, “Justice Scalia will go down as one of the great Justices in the history of this republic.”

While Donald Trump’s message read, “The totally unexpected loss of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia is a massive setback for the Conservative movement and our COUNTRY!”

But, within minutes of the announcement of the Conservative pro-life Justice’s death, abortion supporters took to Twitter to call for donations for abortion groups like NARAL and Planned Parenthood in Scalia’a name:

Justice Scalia’s death comes on the heels of one of the country’s first major abortion case in 10 years, reports Politico:

The court next month will hear the most significant abortion case since 1992, when the justices ruled states could legally impose restrictions on abortion that did not put an “undue burden” on access to the procedure. This term’s abortion case, which centers on restrictions Texas placed on providers and clinics, will again test how far states can go to limit abortion.

The court is expected to be divided along familiar partisan lines, with Justice Anthony Kennedy serving as a possible swing vote. A 4-4 decision in the case, Whole Woman’s Health v. Cole, would leave in place a lower court ruling that upheld the restrictions on clinics.

Pro-lifers know that an Obama nominee would most likely tilt the Court in the wroing direction for years to come.

In response to the news, 2016 presidential candidate and staunch pro-life advocate Senator Ted Cruz called for Scalia’s seat on the Supreme Court to be named by the next president, tweeting:

Ted Cruz Scalia

“Justice Scalia was an American hero. We owe it to him, and the nation, for the Senate to ensure that the next president names his replacement.”

Hillary Clinton, a radical abortion supporter disagreed and tweeted a statement calling the idea a “dishonor to the Constitution.”

Pres. Obama who vowed to appoint a successor has ordered flags flown at half-staff in honor of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

After Scalia’s passing in Texas, Governor Greg Abbot, released a statement calling the former SCOTUS Justice a “unwavering defender of the written Constitution and the Rule of Law:”

“Justice Antonin Scalia was a man of God, a patriot, and an unwavering defender of the written Constitution and the Rule of Law. He was the solid rock who turned away so many attempts to depart from and distort the Constitution. His fierce loyalty to the Constitution set an unmatched example, not just for judges and lawyers, but for all Americans. We mourn his passing, and we pray that his successor on the Supreme Court will take his place as a champion for the written Constitution and the Rule of Law. Cecilia and I extend our deepest condolences to his family, and we will keep them in our thoughts and prayers.”

Angel gowns for infants who don’t come home because a child matters even in death

Angel Wings Memory Gowns was created to help families during the devastating loss of a baby. The group of volunteers repurposes wedding dresses into burial gowns for infants who don’t come home from the hospitals.

On their Facebook page they write, “Our talented seamstresses re-purpose wedding and formal dresses into complimentary burial gowns for babies who earn their angel wings.”

Founder, Jennifer Jones said that each gown is different, she told a Tennessee news station that, “On the back of each gown we cut out a heart and then place it on a tag for the mother to see. It’s got scripture on it that tells about us and what we do. We take several gowns of each size to various hospitals in the area,” she states.

It’s hard to find clothes for babies who are before forty weeks gestation. So when parents lose a child that young, they don’t have anything to put them in….every child no matter how small should get something that they are able to wear,” Jones said.

In Texas, tiny Gracelynn Rae is being rocked by her father as he reads her scriptures. She died shortly after being born.

A Dallas TV station reports that Gracelynn Rae will forever be wrapped in a very special gown made from his sister-in-law’s wedding dress.

It’s a little part of me that gets to go with her,” Gracelynn’s aunt, Jenny Leon tells the news station, “It was just the best gift that I could think of at the time.”

The dress will be made by NICU Helping Hands, a Fort Worth non-profit organization founded in 2013 which turns wedding gowns into tiny angel gowns.

The non-profit has 900 seamstresses nationwide and says that they have mailed over 3,000 gowns and have an additional 5,000 that they are currently processing.

Founder Lisa Grubbs thanks the volunteers for the dress donations, “This is what it meant to have somebody honor our baby and their life, no matter how short it was. Thank you for understanding that a child matters, even in death.”

Abortion owner who once said she tried to get as many people sterilized as are in her way, has died

Posted in Florida Abortion Clinics, Haiti, Joyce Tarnow with tags , , , , , , , , , , on February 26, 2014 by saynsumthn

32106_1488414287304_4924614_nFormer Florida Abortion Clinic owner, Joyce Tarnow died February 21, 2014 at the age of 74 years old, after a two year battle with cancer.

Joyce Tarnow moved from Chicago to Miami Dade County in 1962, to Broward County in 1974 and to Dixie County in 2007.

She attended Miami Dade Community College 1968-1970

Tarnow organized the Miami Chapter of Zero Population Growth in 1970 following Earth Day at U.M. where she picked up a copy of Paul Ehrlich’s book,”The Population Bomb.”

Tarnow served on the national board of Zero Population Growth 1972-1974 as she described, “out of all my environmental interests.“

She was also a member of the Florida Abortion Rights Action League, known as FARAL.

Tarnow ran an abortion clinic in Broward County from 1976 to 2006 and served as president of Floridians for a Sustainable Population as well as a member of the Federation of Anti-Immigration Reform also known as FAIR.

In 1972, Tarnow led a fight to repeal Florida’s abortion laws.

Protesters outside Tarnow's Florida abortion clinic

During her time as an abortion clinic owner, Tarnow was regularly picketed by pro-life protesters. She also criticized fellow abortionist Benjamin Graber who left her holding attorney’s fees from a lawsuit she and Graber lost against the protesters. That loss eventually cost her the clinic and forced her to finally close her doors for good. She closed her abortion clinic doors in 2004.

But that did not stop Tarnow, as she went on to be an outspoken advocate of population control.

Capture

In the interview below of Tarnow featured in the powerful documentary film Maafa21, Tarnow quotes population control author, Paul Ehrlich who co-authored books with Obama’s Science Czar, John P. Holdren.

Tarnow clearly advocates Darwin’s “Survival of the fittest” and says that the US should not help those nations who “cannot help themselves.”

Watch Tarnow Interview at .20 seconds into this:

In a July 15,2004 News Times article , they quote former abortionist Joyce Tarnow as saying:

America “can’t take all the people in the world,” “We need to help nations that can subsist and let others wither on the vine.”

And how about this sensitive approach to countries like Haiti, which, Tarnow said, “has denuded the whole land?“… “Stew in your own juices.

In the same News Times article Joyce Tarnow reveals her true motives:

Fertility is an environmental issue,” she says. “That’s why I try to get as many people sterilized as are in my way!”

In a a Jan 16, 2010 Ft Lauderdale Sun Sentinel Article, Tarnow had this to say regarding bringing suffering people from Haiti who endured the tragic earthquake, to the United States, “Tent cities in Haiti, said Tarnow. “Give them all the help they need, but don’t bring them to this country.”.

We have to enforce our borders,” she said. “There’s nothing more permanent than a temporary visa.”

Tarnow 1984

Tarnow, was the former owner of the Women’s Clinic in Fort Lauderdale, Florida: which performed approx 800 to 900 abortions per year, with many clients being low income and Haitian. Tarnow was also a proud member of the National Abortion Federation.

Tarnow worked tirelessly to make sure that the ones she didn’t get through abortion were NEVER allowed into this country through immigration. She was the president of the anti-immigration group: Floridians for a Sustainable Population.

She was also listed on the anti-immigration group FAIR as one of their “local contacts” . FAIR stands for the Federation for American Immigration Reform and they are run by former “Zero Population Growth” and “Planned Parenthood” members.

This blogger was one of the protesters who opposed Tarnow at her Florida abortion clinic. As pro-life protesters, we regularly prayed for Tarnow and petitioned her to stop her slaughter of unborn children.

Joyce Tarnow outside her abortion clinic attempting to take pictures of protesters.

Joyce Tarnow outside her abortion clinic attempting to take pictures of protesters.

Tarnow rarely dialogued with us. She became emboldened to come outside and photograph us only when she had engaged the help of the Feminist Majority to escort outside the clinic. That move cost her, because as she attempted to photograph me, I also had my camera up to photograph her. In her frustration and attempt at getting a picture, Tarnow grabbed my arm and assaulted me. Police were called and she was read her Miranda rights, however, I decided not to pursue pressing charges.

Tarnow was a very sad person. She believed in killing innocent babies to assure that Florida would not be overrun by those she deemed unfit. I wonder, if she has not repented, if she still believes her views. Standing before a Holy and Just God has a way of shedding light on all your deeds, especially the murder of children.

Tarnow may be haunted for eternity in an overcrowded hell if she did not repent. Let’s hope that is not the case.

On April 11, 1984, 28-year-old Mickey Apodaca, went to Raymond E. Showery’s El Paso office for an abortion. She was 19 weeks pregnant at the time. Her uterus and a uterine artery were perforated during the abortion procedure, and despite hospitalization and subsequent surgery, she died that evening. Mickey left behind four children between the ages of one and ten. Previous to the death of this women, Showery was found guilty of the murder of a 5- to 7-month-old fetus he had attempted to abort. A number of other complaints were filed against Showery over the years, including that he charged women for abortions when they were not pregnant and that he falsified records to show that women were 20 weeks pregnant when they were past that mark. Showery died last week of unknown causes, He was 84. See a list of the names of women killed by so-called “Safe” abortion here

Eugenics Victim passes away

Posted in Elaine Riddick, Eugenics, North Carolina Eugenics, Planned Parenthood and Eugenics with tags , , , , , , on December 10, 2012 by saynsumthn

Between 1929 and 1974, the state – through the N.C. Eugenics Board – authorized the sterilizations of some 7,600 North Carolinians who were classified as mentally ill, epileptic or “feebleminded.”

leladunston (1)Lela Mae Moore Dunston of Raleigh was a courageous advocate, passionately arguing that she and the other victims of the state’s forced sterilization program should be compensated. She died July 9, shortly after hearing that the state Senate had let the strong push to compensate fizzle.

Dunston was just 63 when she died from longstanding health problems. Other victims, such as 79-year-old Willis Lynch of Warren County, have repeatedly told me that the state is waiting for them to die so it won’t have to compensate them.

John Railey of the Fay Observer feels that Dunston’s death should stand for something. It should be a clarion call for Gov. Bev Perdue to spend her last weeks in office pushing the state legislature to finally help these hurting and dying victims, if not before she leaves office, at least in January as the legislature reconvenes.

Charmaine Fuller Cooper, the former head of Perdue’s foundation on compensation, told John Railey of the Fay Observer, that Dunston was very important in the compensation fight. She’d called Dunston in the hospital to let her know about the bad news from the Senate. “She was not happy at all,” Cooper said.

The story of Dunston’s sterilization is tragic. Her story is not that different from many other victims of the state’s program.

Dunston was 13. She lived with her mother in Wilmington. She was pregnant with her first child. It would be the only baby the state would let her have. She raised that son.

Like most victims, Dunston had no idea that what happened to her was part of a nationwide movement. Finally, a few years ago, she read about the state sterilization program in a newspaper. She tracked down state records that confirmed she was one of the more than 7,600 victims of the program that, by zeroing in on black women and girls like her in its last years, was genocide.

“I didn’t understand it,” Dunston told me. “They just went on and did what they wanted to do. Chopped on us like we were animals.”

Lela Mae Moore Dunston lived in Raleigh, just a few miles away from where a board of men and women she’d never met voted to have her sterilized in March of 1963.

Many of these victims have read the petitions for sterilizations that social workers wrote about them. Often, they contain more racism and class prejudice than hard facts. The petition to sterilize Dunston says that she and her mother “live in an area that has a low socio-economic level.” Dunston is described as “a rather alert little Negro girl” who “wore a very ragged sweater and her hair literally stood on end all over her head.”

That was “a bunch of baloney,” Dunston said.

In the early 1960s, as Gov. Terry Sanford was leading North Carolina through integration, the sterilization program, which operated beneath the radar, began targeting black women of modest means. Sometimes, the petitions contained outright lies, as in this line from Dunston’s: “Both the mother and Lela Mae understand that sterilization will result in Lela Mae not being able to reproduce and both seem happy with this.”

Dunston said she didn’t know what the operation was about. “I was only 13,” Dunston said. “Thirteen years old you don’t know nothing about this kind of mess. You’re a child yourself.”

Willis-Lynch-057-DLA

Willis Lynch was just 14-years-old when he was sterilized at a state training school in Kinston, N.C., in the late 1940’s. At the time the Eugenics Board had declared that no ward of the Caswell Training School, “should be released before being sterilized, except in the few instances where normal children have been committed through error.” Willis was sent to the training school by his mother, who was overwhelmed with caring for seven children on welfare.

Here is a sample of what the Eugenics Victims have said:

Elaine Riddick:I have to get out what the state of North Carolina did to me. I am not feeble minded. I’ve never been feeble minded. They slandered me. They ridiculed and harassed me. They cut me open like I was a hog, My body was too young for what they did to me. I had to have a child at the age of 14. When I had my son, at the same time they took my child in cesarean and then did that to me. What do you think I’m worth? … I’ve never had nobody to take care of me. I’ve had to do this all by myself. I never had anyone give me anything. I had to pick my own self up…What am I worth? The kids I didn’t have. Couldn’t have. What are they worth?”

Tony Riddick added, “You harmed my mother and killed her womb . When u look forward – It’s genocide – premeditated murder – you deserve to be punished….This is sinister. I know I don’t have the power to bring justice myself….We say we are a nation that’s concerned and compassionate and these victims have not been compensated yet. For my mother, it’s been 43 years…God will hold you accountable for what you have done to my mom.”

LeLa Dunston (victim)
“I can’t have no babies…They told me to sign papers. I didn’t sign papers. That was not my signature on these papers…I need a reward or something…some kind of compensation for all they put me through. I wanted more children. I wouldn’t have minded having a daughter. Maybe two, maybe three.”

Australia Clay (victim’s family member)
“Every victim that went through any of this victimization was a guinea pig. A science guinea pig. It was bogus medicine. Bogus science…This is North Carolina’s holocaust. We need a wall. We need a library. My mother needs her name and picture in a library room.”

Melissa Hyatt (victim’s loved one)
“Nobody explained what the surgery was for, at least to him.”

Karen Beck (victim’s family member)
“I’m sure the surgeons that wielded the knives against their small bodies believed they were doing the right thing. Indeed, how could any of them be wrong?”

Deborah Chesson (victim’s family member)
“The eugenics board has deemed my mother nothing. To me, she is everything….You tore families apart. You hurt people. There’s no compensation that can put that back.”

After years of telling and re-telling her story, Sterilization victim, Elaine Riddick is pleading with the state of North Carolina to take responsibility for what they did to her through their Eugenics Programs.

“They cut me open like I was a hog,” said Elaine Riddick, who was sterilized at age 14. “I didn’t even know nothing about this stuff.”

Listen to what the State of North Carolina’s Eugenic Board (Funded by Margaret Sanger supporter- Clarence Gamble more below) did to this “African American woman” : Elaine Riddick

( this clip below from the powerful documentary on eugenics and black genocide called: Maafa21 )

Clarence Gamble a supporter and funder of the founder of Planned Parenthood’s founder Margaret Sanger… funded the North Carolina Eugenics Society which sterilized this woman and many black women as well. Click Here : Clarence Gamble.

Gamble also supported Margaret Sanger’s Birth Control Movement. Sanger was the founder of Planned Parenthood and she had many of her board members and presidents were members of the American Eugenics Society.

According to the North Carolina Winston-Salem Journal, “Clarence Gamble who helped found the Human Betterment League of North Carolina in 1947 did so to promote eugenic sterilization. Journal research shows a long history of abuses in the N.C. sterilization program – abuses that Gamble consistently glossed over..” Gamble wanted sterilizations to increase rather than decrease, and increase they did.

Think the targeting of blacks for sterilization was coincidence? Just like they way they are targeted today for abortion??? Think again:

Read what Planned Parenthood Founder, Margaret Sanger, wrote to Dr. Clarence Gamble (who funded the State of North Carolina’s Eugenics Programs) in a letterdated December 19, 1939,
We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. The minister’s work is also important and also he should be trained, perhaps by the Federation [of Eugenicists] as to our ideals and the goal that we hope to reach. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.” that plan was called “The NEGRO Project”.

Planned Parenthood founder, Margaret Sanger, was a member in good standing with the racist American Eugenics Society. Sanger had board members who were known for their racist writing and Sanger published many of those in her publications. Sanger called for parents to have a QUOTE: LICENSE TO BREED controlled by people who believed in her eugenic philosophy. She wanted all would be parents to go before her eugenic boards to request a “PERMIT TO BREED“.

Margaret Sanger once said, “More children from the fit, less from the unfit — that is the chief aim of birth control.” Birth Control Review, May 1919, p. 12

In Margaret Sanger’s, “Birth Control and Racial Betterment,” Feb 1919. Birth Control Review , Library of Congress Microfilm 131:0099B .
Sanger states, “Before eugenists and others who are laboring for racial betterment can succeed, they must first clear the way for Birth Control. Like the advocates of Birth Control, the eugenists, for instance, are seeking to assist the race toward the elimination of the unfit. Both are seeking a single end but they lay emphasis upon different methods.

Eugenists emphasize the mating of healthy couples for the conscious purpose of producing healthy children, the sterilization of the unfit to prevent their populating the world with their kind and they may, perhaps, agree with us that contraception is a necessary measure among the masses of the workers, where wages do not keep pace with the growth of the family and its necessities in the way of food, clothing, housing, medical attention, education and the like.

We who advocate Birth Control, on the other hand, lay all our emphasis upon stopping not only the reproduction of the unfit but upon stopping all reproduction when there is not economic means of providing proper care for those who are born in health. While I personally believe in the sterilization of the feeble-minded, the insane and syphilitic, I have not been able to discover that these measures are more than superficial deterrents when applied to the constantly growing stream of the unfitEugenics without Birth Control seems to us a house builded upon the sands. It is at the mercy of the rising stream of the unfit…

Sanger also called for those who were poor and what she considered to be “morons and immoral‘ , to be shipped to colonies where they would live in “Farms and Open Spaces” dedicated to brainwashing these so-called “inferior types” into having what Sanger called, “Better moral conduct”.

I consider that the world and almost our civilization for the next twenty-five years, is going to depend upon a simple, cheap, safe contraceptive to be used in poverty stricken slums, jungles, and among the most ignorant people. Even this will not be sufficient, because I believe that now, immediately, there should be national sterilization for certain dysgenic types of our population who are being encouraged to breed and would die out were the government not feeding them.
Planned Parenthood Founder, Margaret Sanger, 1950

In addition, Planned Parenthood’s top award is called the Margaret Sanger Award, despite the fact that Sanger was an admitted Klan speaker. This is what Sanger wrote in her autobiography, “I accepted an invitation to talk to the women’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan…I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses…I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak…In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered.” (Margaret Sanger: An Autobiography, P.366 Read it here http://library.lifedynamics.com//Autobiography/Chapter%2029.pdf)

NEVER NEVER FORGET WHAT THESE EUGENICS PEOPLE DID:

R.I.P. Samuel Yette , black journalist fired from Newsweek after authoring a book exposing eugenic plans to limit the black population

Posted in Abortion, Black Conservative, Black Deaths, Black Victims, Eugenics, Racism, Richard Nixon, Samuel Yette with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on January 31, 2011 by saynsumthn

Sam Yette Dies:

Newsweek’s First Black D.C. Correspondent Samuel F. Yette, 81, a journalist, author and educator who became an influential and sometimes incendiary voice on civil rights, died Jan. 21 at the Morningside House assisted-living facility in Laurel. He had Alzheimer’s disease.

“My dad would like to be known for teaching,” Michael Yette said. “He was a natural teacher, and he wanted to spread knowledge and wisdom to particularly his people to help them advance the lives of his people, and journalism was his tool of preference in doing that.”

However, Yette’s controversial book “The Choice: The Issue of Black Survival in America” put him in headlines. It came to be used as a textbook on 50 college campuses, including DePaul University, the University of Chicago and the University of Nebraska, he said, as well as at traditionally black schools such as Howard University.

“The book dealt with things they did not want people to know about at the time,” Yette told the Tennessee Tribune, which he joined as a columnist, in 1996. “There were those well-placed in our government who were determined to have a final solution for the race issue in this country — not unlike Hitler’s ‘Final Solution’ for Jews 50 years earlier in Germany. I wrote this and documented it. It caused the Nixon White House to say to Newsweek in effect, ‘Don’t come back until you are rid of him.’ “

Yette charged that he had become “unacceptable on the scene” as a correspondent for Newsweek as a result of the book, and filed suit. He was represented by Clifford L. Alexander, former chairman of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission who went on to become secretary of the Army, consultant and board member at Fortune 500 companies and interim chairman and CEO of Dun & Bradstreet.

“I don’t mean to be pejorative or vindictive when I say this,” Yette said at a 1972 news conference, “but had I been a nigger instead of Black, a spy instead of a reporter, a tool instead of a man, I could have stayed at Newsweek indefinitely,” Jet magazine reported.

In 1956, Yette became a reporter for the Afro-American newspaper. He covered several major civil rights events, including the 1957 march on Washington and numerous events organized by the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Southern Christian Leadership Conference.

In the mid-1980s, Mr. Yette started his own publishing firm, Cottage Books, and reprinted his book in 1982. He released a book in 1984 titled “Washington and Two Marches, 1963 & 1983: The Third American Revolution,” a photographic journey of the civil rights movement written and photographed in collaboration with his son, Frederick.

Samuel Yette’s stunning book : My Book, “The Choice” ,it exposed high level eugenics efforts against the black community

Even though Samuel Yette was also one of the first and very distinguished Black journalists to work for Newsweek, after he published his book, The Choice” which exposed high level attempts of Black Genocide through birth control , abortion, and additional means , he was fired by Newsweek. Yette claims his superiors told him that the “Nixon Whitehouse” wanted him out of Washington.

In One chapter on Birth Control

Yette exposes President Nixon’s White House Conference on Food and Nutrition of December 2-4, 1969. In Mr. Yette’s words it, “was worse than a farce.” President Nixon opened the conference with 3 recommendations designed to reduce the number of hungry people! He suggested no measures for the relief of hunger in America.

1. He wanted everyone to have a guaranteed minimum income of $1,600 a year. (This is less than welfare was paying at that time.)
2. A supposed expansion of the food stamp program that would be tied into and compliment the welfare reform package in #1. (His plan would have actually reduced the amount of food stamps. Less money + less food =more hunger.)
3. Provide family planning services to at minimum 5 million women in low-income families.

This last proposal was part of a plan formulated by Dr. Charles Lowe of the National Institute of Health. The plan recommended Congress pass a law that:

1. Made birth control information and devices available to any and all girls over the age of 13 with or without parental consent.
2. Allowed mandatory abortions for unmarried girls within the 1st three months of pregnancy.
3. Mandatory sterilization for any unmarried girl giving birth out of wedlock for the 2nd time.

In that book, Yette describes how civil rights activist, Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer was at that Conference on hunger. When she heard about the birth control proposals she grabbed about a dozen young black men, walked into the room, and demanded to be heard. She spoke about ten minutes on the evil results of this plan and the conference dropped it from consideration.

THE COVER BLOWN:

According to Samuel Yette, Black Civil Right Advocate Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamerhad a passion for her people and her interest and understanding of how powerful the political process was in America led her and others to create the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party to challenge the Credential Committee in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1964 to be seated rather than the regular Democrats who they exclaimed were “illegally elected” based on discriminatory practices against blacks statewide. “We Will Not Accept The Compromise”, stated Mrs. Hamer.

Below are exerts of an eye opening incident Ms. Hamer experienced in the realm of Black Genocide written by journalist Samuel Yette :

Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer was Tough Fighter The Afro American – Apr 2, 1977 By Samuel Yette

” It is still a society in which an injured man must show his ability to pay before getting hospital services, but his daughter or wife can be aborted or fed birth control pills, at public expense…For these and other reasons the recent death of Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer …was noted here and across the nation not only with personal sadness, but also with stern political reflection.

When the charades of Richard Nixon included a White House Conference on hunger in 1969, Mrs. Hamer was among the hundreds of authentic grass-roots persons brought here to confir with the highly paid experts.

But the conference (whose name was changed from a conference on hunger to a conference on “Food and Nutrition”) was in reality, one great fraud against the poor.

Instead of seeking ways to feed the hungry, the back stage plan was to get the poor unwittingly to endorse a plan to eliminate from the society those who were hungry.

For example, a panel of medical experts pretended to be studying was to insure proper nourishment for babies and pregnant women. Instead it adopted-in the name of the poor at the conference- a resolution providing for:

– Birth Control devices for young girls, free, and with or without parental approval;

– Required abortions of unmarried girls discovered during the first three months of pregnancy; and

– Forced sterilization of any such girl giving birth out of wedlock a second time.

Only one black person-a nurse-was a member of that panel.

Yette continues, In my reportorial role, I found Mrs. Hamer for a reaction to the newly passed resolution.

She responded with shock and outrage at the deception, “I didn’t come to talk about birth control, ” she protested, ” I came here to get some food to feed poor, hungry people, Where are they carrying on that kind of talk?”

Hearing the location of the panel, she gamely pulled herself up on a cane, and made her way to the panel’s meeting room. Along the way she beckoned several black men, who followed seriously intent on doing her will.

She went straight to the front of the room and demanded to be heard.

With the power and conviction of personal tragedy, she told how she, herself, had once been sterilized under the guise of an unrelated surgical procedure. She told how such tools as their resolution in the hands of racist medical personnel would mean tragedy for the black and poor.

Finally, with several large black men at her side, Mrs. Hamer demanded that the resolution be reconsidered. It was, and voted down. But she could not stand and watch forever.

Though she saw the deception and illuminated the society’s most immoral contradictions , she, like the hope and moral vigor of he 1960’s ran out…

The author of the tribute above, Mr. Samuel Yette also suffered persecution for exposing the sinister plot to exterminate blacks with population control methods.

Perhaps these “Conversations” with Richard Nixon will explain why he didn’t want Yette to have an sphere of influence. These are from the film: Maafa21 Black Genocide in 21st Century America and the film has more on the Yette story and more history on Black Genocide in America Today !

Black women account for almost 40% of the abortions now
