Mahoney outside NOW Iraq Christian womenA Christian Pastor and his wife are challenging the National Organization for Women to join their efforts in condemning the violence against women and children in Iraq.

Rev. Pat Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition and his wife Katie Mahoney have announced that they will be organizing in front of the headquarters for the National Organization for Women (NOW) in New York, Friday August 15th.

Pat Mahoney explains, “It is very troubling that the National Organization for Women, and other American feminist groups, have not passionately spoken out against the brutality against the women of Iraq. Quite frankly, this is an outrage.”

WaronWomen Now

The couple state in their event post, “in Iraq, we are seeing an unprecedented attack on women. The terror group, ISIS, is kidnapping women. Raping them. Beating them. Mutilating them. Forcing them into human slavery and sex trafficking.

The modern world has rarely seen such barbaric and violent attacks against the dignity of women.

The actions of ISIS, represent a picture of “The Real War on Women.”

Now Where Are You 835409_3195142650283900529_o

Tragically, when women around the around need to stand up and boldly condemn such barbarism and violence against their sisters, the voice of American feminism has been virtually silent. Groups like the National Organization for Women, have been AWOL in this global struggle for women’s rights.

To make matters worse, they have demeaned and cheapened the plight of the women of Iraq by using the term “War on Women,” to describe companies not providing abortion-inducing drugs and contraceptives in health coverage, rather than the violence being committed by ISIS.

In response to this outrage, women leaders are gathering outside of the New York City Headquarters of the National Organization for Women challenging them to be a loud passionate voice for the women of Iraq and asking, “Where have they been?” and “Why they haven’t gotten involved.”

We invite all women of good will who are committed to human rights and ending violence against women to join us on Friday, August 15, at 12:00 front of the headquarters of the National Organization for Women in New York City.

“Violence against women is an appalling human rights violation. But it is not inevitable. We can put a stop to this”.- Nicole Kidman.”

Katie _1343238167640069732_oKatie Mahoney, another organizer of the event made this point on the hypocrisy of NOW, “Perhaps if ISIS had just denied Iraqi women contraceptives or abortion inducing drugs instead of raping and brutalizing them, the National Organization for Women might be more inclined to speak out and become engaged.”

Call for Dignity: Pro-lifers to protest Philly Med Examiners to bury abortionist Gosnell babies

Posted in Kermit Gosnell with tags , , , , , , , , on August 26, 2013 by saynsumthn

Today Prolifers will gather in front of the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s office at 321 University Avenue, Philadelphia, demanding a burial for the babies murdered by Gosnell. Activists will be kneeling in prayer in front of the Medical Examiner’s office with the names of all the babies that were murdered by Kermit Gosnell which are still at that office. Some will be risking arrest if they are asked to leave.

The 47 unborn children discovered three years ago in a Philadelphia abortion clinic are part of an emotional dispute over whether foes of abortion can claim the remains for burial. An alliance of anti-abortion groups is pressing Philadelphia Medical Examiner Sam Gulino to give them the remains, now that Kermit Gosnell is in jail and his clinic is closed. Gulino says his office does not release remains to unrelated third parties. He has assured Priests for Life, Pro-Life Coalition of Pennsylvania, Christian Defense Coalition, and others that the remains will get a proper and respectful disposition. Michael McMonagle, president of the Pro-Life Coalition, says the groups will pay for the burials and want to bring dignity to the deaths.

Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Washington, D.C. based Christian Defense Coalition, states,

“It is appalling and reprehensible for the City of Philadelphia to keep these children in storage at the Medical Examiner’s Office for up to 10 years after so many have requested they be released to them and given a proper and dignified funeral and burial.

“The official guidelines and regulations set forth by the Medical Examiner make it clear that any ‘interested’ party can put in a request asking for any unidentified person to be released into their care.

“Numerous national and local faith and community organizations have put in written formal requests for these children.

“The conviction of Kermit Gosnell on murder charges makes it clear that these babies are ‘persons’ and must be afforded the same equal rights as anyone else under the law.

“It is tragic and barbaric that government officials are playing ‘abortion politics’ with these innocent babies. These children were brutalized once by Kermit Gosnell. We are now demanding that they are not brutalized again by the City of Philadelphia.”

MEDIA ADVISORY, Feb. 18 /Christian Newswire/ — The street preachers were gunned down on the public sidewalk in Boynton Beach, Florida after sharing the gospel with gang members.

** (Below is a copy of a news article of the shooting.)

The Christian Defense Coalition and the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission will be holding a news conference and prayer vigil on the same public sidewalk where the preachers were executed.

They will also be leaving flowers on the public sidewalk to honor the work and life of these heroic preachers.

The news conference will be held on Friday, February 19, at 11:00 A.M. at the 100 block of Southwest Second Ave. in Boynton Beach.

At the news conference, the groups will be:

*Calling for Attorney General Eric Holder to launch a federal investigation to see if these murders broke federal laws or federal civil rights statutes.

*Announcing plans for a rally and gospel witness on the exact spot where the two preachers were killed.

*Seeking a meeting with Boynton Beach police officials to see if they are pursing religious discrimination elements in this case.

*Seeking assurances that Christians preaching the gospel will be protected on the streets of Boynton Beach.

Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition in Washington, D.C., states,

“We are coming to South Florida to first honor the lives and work of Mr. Ocean and Sufra. They were gunned down shortly after sharing God’s love on the streets of Boynton Beach with struggling and hurting people.

“We are also coming to seek assurances that Christians preaching the Word of God on public streets will be protected by local and federal law enforcement officials and that any violations of federal laws and civil rights will be thoroughly investigated.

“Finally, the greatest tribute we can give these two preachers is organizing a prayer rally and day of publicly sharing the gospel on the streets of Boynton Beach. Something these men gave their lives for.”

Dr. Gary Cass, Executive Director of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission, shares,

“This senseless crime has made martyrs out of two fine young Christian preachers. Their courageous example has made us determined to not let their deaths be in vain.

“We cannot and will not allow the message of God’s transforming love in Jesus Christ to be silenced anywhere in America.”

Man arrested on charges of shooting street preachers in Boynton Beach

February 03, 2010 By Jerome Burdi, Sun Sentinel

Boynton Beach — Preaching the word of God brought two street ministers to the man who killed them, police said.

Jeriah Woody, 18, was arrested Wednesday and charged in the double murder in Boynton Beach.

According to police: Victims Tite Sufra, 24, and Stephen Ocean, 23, were shot and killed Saturday night after meeting Woody on Southwest First Street and Second Avenue standing under a tree.

They preached to him for 15 minutes when Woody got a phone call and told the preachers he had to go. They kept walking down Second Avenue when Woody suddenly started walking toward them. Sufra walked up to meet him and was met with a gunshot. Ocean then ran and was shot in the back.

When he fell, Woody shot him in the head, execution style, police said.

Police found Woody through his street name, Plug, and he was identified through a witness. Woody surrendered to police on Wednesday and was charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

According to Florida Department of Law Enforcement records, Woody has been arrested on burglary, theft and drug-related charges.

In her Boynton Beach home, Sufra’s mother, Vertilia St. Remy, said her son left behind a widow, but would not comment further after being told not to by her daughter, who was “very shaken.”

“Everybody loves him,” St. Remy said.

Geraldo Rivera on Fox defends American Missionaries jailed in Haiti

Posted in Church, Haiti with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on February 7, 2010 by saynsumthn

Geraldo Rivera spoke with Fox’s Megyn Kelley and said he is outraged about the way these Christian Missionaries are being treated in Haiti and so am I. We are sending billions over there and how dare they country jail American Citizens for simply taking mercy on orphans. Listen to Geraldo’s words here and see that the Haitian Government is making an unnecessary example of people who had the best of motives. Come on people – where is the outrage? Where is the Christian Church speaking for these people? Where is Hillary Clinton, President Obama ? Get activated and don’t let these people rot in jail.

Ten U.S. missionaries were charged on Thursday with child kidnapping and criminal association for illegally trying to take children out of Haiti.
The 10 Americans from two Idaho-based Baptist churches were formally charged with “kidnapping minors and criminal association,” said their lawyer Edwin Coq.

Haitian Deputy Prosecutor Jean Ferge Joseph announced the charges and told the Americans their case was being sent to an investigative judge.

“That judge can free you, but he can also continue to hold you for further proceedings,” the deputy prosecutor told the 10 Americans.

The missionaries were apparently stunned by the charges as they had already packed their luggage in hopes of a release.

It is Disgraceful that Escaped Haitian Criminals are Roaming the Streets of Haiti While Ten American Christian Missionaries Remain in Jail

WASHINGTON, Feb. 6 /Christian Newswire/ — The Christian Defense Coalition calls for the Obama Administration to treat the American missionaries jailed in Haiti with the same commitment they are treating the three American hikers jailed in Iran.

With respect to the jailed hikers in Iran, Secretary of State Clinton has stated;

“As we have said repeatedly, we call on Iran to release all of the American citizens that they have currently detained. We believe they’re being unjustly detained and that they should be released without further delay.”

The hikers are being held on espionage charges.

With respect to the ten American missionaries being held, Secretary of Clinton has stated,

“Obviously, this is a matter for the Haitian judicial system. We’re going to continue to provide support as we do in every instance like this to American citizens who have been charged and hope that this matter can be resolved in an expeditious way, but it is something that a sovereign nation is pursuing based on the evidence that it presented when the charges were announced.”

Why the double standard toward the Christian missionaries?

Why not treat them the same as the hikers in Iran and demand their immediate release?

It is clear that the Obama Administration is not applying the same standard to the missionaries in Haiti as they are to those jailed in Iran.

The same rule should be applied to both situations. That is, the call for the missionaries immediate release without any more delays.

These Christian missionaries should not be treated as second class citizens by President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton.

Rev. Patrick Mahoney along with Rev. Rob Scheck met this week with Haitian Ambassador Joseph in an attempt to secure their release.

Operation Rescue Launches ‘I AM 71’ Project in Opposition to Taxpayer Funded Abortion

Posted in Abortion, Constitution, Health Care, Obama with tags , , , , , , , , on October 2, 2009 by saynsumthn

WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 /Christian Newswire/ — On Friday, October 2, 2009, the Christian Defense Coalition and other pro-life groups will raise a 100 foot image of the number 71 on the west lawn of the White House to remind Congress that, according to a recent Zogby Poll, 71% of Americans oppose taxpayer funding of abortion in the proposed health care reform package. In support of this effort, Operation Rescue is launching the “I AM 71” Project. We are asking Americans to take a digital photo of them holding a paper with the number 71 and send it to Operation Rescue. These photos will be posted on the Internet and compiled and sent to members of Congress and President Obama.

Tuesday, the Senate Finance Committee voted down an amendment proposed by Sen. Orrin Hatch that would have ensured that tax funding for abortions was permanently banned in the public health care system. It also rejected a “conscience clause” for health care providers that choose to opt out of participating in abortions, opening the door for forced participation.

“We want Obama and Congress to have to look at the faces of the citizens they are betraying by ignoring their will on this critically important issue,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “Seventy- one percent is not just a number. We are Americans of good conscience who deserve to be heard.”

Operation Rescue is urging the American people opposed to taxpayer funded abortions to take digital photographs of themselves with the number 71 with their cameras, cell phones, or other devices, and send them to

We are also urging our supporters to spread the word to their friends and family members, and post our request for photos on their social networking sites.
