pro-life, abuse, trafficking

One possible indicator, or red flag, of sex trafficked victims includes numerous abortions, pregnancies and miscarriages. Other red flags can include the frequent use of emergency contraception, as well as a teen being accompanied by older boyfriend or an adult that is not a family member. Therefore, medical staff must be vigilant to report suspicion of abuse. But there are also things that the general pro-life community can do to help. The pro-life message is one of human rights, compassion, and love for mother and child, and pro-life people on the front lines — outside abortion facilities, working at pregnancy centers, etc. — are ideally positioned to identify these victims.

Live Action’s new docuseries exposes how sex trafficking and abuse victims often go to Planned Parenthood for help — and Planned Parenthood simply returns them back to their dangerous situations. Live Action founder and president Lila Rose stated in a press release:

Despite Planned Parenthood’s public rhetoric as well as laws requiring it to report suspected abuse, its failure to report has been deliberate and widespread. Time and again, rather than reporting abuse to authorities, Planned Parenthood has repeatedly looked the other way and performed abortions on victims as young as 12 years old. These girls deserved advocacy but instead Planned Parenthood staff ignored their abuse and returned them to the waiting arms of their abusers.

Because of flagrant violations like these, the proposed Title X rule tightening on reporting abuse is absolutely necessary. Planned Parenthood has proven that its priority is selling abortions, not caring for the most vulnerable of girls. Planned Parenthood’s culture of cover-up must end, the cycle of abuse of innocent children must end, and Planned Parenthood’s half a billion dollars in annual federal funding must end. Taxpayers cannot be forced to subsidize these abuses of children.

Cindy Collins, a long time pro-life advocate who is educating the pro-life community about human trafficking, is the founder of SpeakHope.net and has served on Louisiana Governor’s Human Trafficking Commission. She has provided testimony for Louisiana legislation requiring human trafficking awareness signage to be placed inside abortion facilities. She also provided information and resources for help regarding the state’s informed consent literature for women seeking abortion.

In addition, Collins has participated in training and workshops on predatory relationships, human trafficking, and forced abortions. She has presented her findings both nationally and internationally at the National Right to Life Conference, Heartbeat International Conference, Texas Pregnancy Care Network, as well as the United Nations Conference on the Status of Women, Israel Be’ad Chaim (Pro-Life) Conference and Cherish Life Australia Conference. She currently serves as a global advisor for Operation Outcry and as a board advisor of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), Reproductive Loss and Sexual Trauma Division.

Collins told Live Action News that she is post-abortive and has tragically experienced abortion several times. Later, she helped to found a pregnancy center in her home state of Louisiana where she ministered to abortion-minded women on a regular basis.

“Those abortions led me into a lot of destruction,” Collins said, adding that she came to understand that her destructive behavior leading to her abortion kept her in emotional captivity. The freedom and insights she learned in dealing with her past led to her compassion for the victims of human trafficking. “There but for the grace of God go I, that I could have been held captive because of the destruction in my life. This has given me awareness for what I do now,” she said.

After years of pro-life ministry, Collins said the Lord led her to women who were working in the commercial sex industry:

I was invited to go on a team to minister to strip clubs down town understanding that many years ago, I could have been one of them. After 30 years of working in the pro-life movement and abortion recovery, I asked the Lord why I was going there now. Then, after a few years, I began to realize that the single moms working in the clubs were hurting like I had been. Soon, I was having encounters with women in dressing rooms inside strip clubs and discovered that many had been forced to have abortions.

The Lord showed me there are captives that need help through pregnancy centers and the pro-life movement, but He also showed me that children held outside the womb through sex trafficking also deserve life, love, and to fulfill their destiny.”

Collins sees her focus as reaching women and children inside as well as outside the womb. As such,  she sees a real need for the pro-life community to become better educated to work to free victims caught up in the commercial sex trafficked industry, both physically as well as spiritually and emotionally.

“What the pro-life movement is missing,” Collins shared, “is first, how we are looking at the women forced to work in these areas? I began to discover that the pro-life community was looking at these women in the wrong way. Were we valuing these women and their babies the same as the college student who might come into our center?”

She added, “The pro-life movement has to get involved. We have to understand and change our mindsets, and see the victims who potentially are being forced to submit to abortion through new eyes. They’re being told if they don’t have that abortion their pimps will kill them. He threatens to kill their family or children.”

In her research on human trafficking, Collins discovered that women and children trapped in sex trafficking usually have some form of sexual abuse in their past. One study showed that 70 percent of women interviewed that were sex trafficked became pregnant and about 55 percent of these victims say they will be forced into an abortion during their captivity.

A 1999 report by the Center for the Study of Intelligence found that sex trafficked victims endure “threats of physical abuse against themselves and/or their families are also common in order to force cooperation. Traffickers also play upon the women’s fears of arrest and deportation. In additional cases, trafficking victims suffer extreme physical and mental abuse, including rape, imprisonment, forced abortions, and physical brutality.”

In 2002, according to a report by the New York Times, police raided a house, expecting to find an underground brothel. What they found instead was horrific. Inside were victims of sex trafficking between the ages of 14 and 17, all Mexican nationals without documentation. The girls were forced to live in squalid conditions, described by the paper as a “land-based equivalent of a 19th-century slave ship.” Police also uncovered a “stash of penicillin” along with abortion-inducing drugs.

One victim of sex trafficking told Facing Life Now TV that women and girls are also taken to abortion clinics by their pimps or by people working for the pimp. “Marlene,” who had become “trusted” by her pimp, told the interviewer that she was responsible for booking abortions when a woman became pregnant, saying, “The pimps and the traffickers would get fake I.D.’s for the girls and we would take them to have abortions.”

When asked if abortion facilities like Planned Parenthood would turn down the abortions for the girls, she replied, “Oh, no, absolutely not…. Honestly they had to know that these were teenagers; they were not adult women.”

Marlene said that participating in these abortions traumatized her. She recalled a 14-year-old sex trafficked victim who became pregnant and was being forced to have an abortion: “So, I had the whole house raided — she was rescued,” she said.

A study published by the Annals of Health Law in 2014, Health Consequences of Sex Trafficking, supports Marlene’s claims. Authors Laura Lederer and Christopher Wetzel interviewed several women victimized by sex trafficking and found that survivors had  “significant contact with clinical treatment facilities, most notably Planned Parenthood.”

As Live Action News previously reported, roughly two-thirds of survivors who specified a location for their abortions identified an abortion facility as the site of their abortions, indicating ongoing systemic problems inside the abortion industry. One survivor told the researchers, “I was under serious pressure from my pimps to abort the babies.” And one sex trafficking victim told researchers she was taken to Planned Parenthood because “Planned Parenthood didn’t ask any questions.”

Planned Parenthood doesn’t ask questions about sex trafficking victims

Tragically, one of the victims interviewed said she had as many as 17 forced abortions.

“There has to be laws that make it clear that these abortion facilities are required to report,” Collins said.

Study author Laura Lederer testified to lawmakers that 55 percent of the women she interviewed reported having at least one abortion, and about half of those said they had been coerced.

Sadly, sex trafficked victims, rather than abortion workers who failed to report the abuse, are often the ones facing prosecution. Last year, the Texas Tribune reported on a case in which “a pimp… had sold a 16-year-old girl for sex over two years. The girl suffered horrific abuse at his hands — she was raped, impregnated and forced to have an abortion. When she tried to run away, the pimp carved his initials into her forearm.” Tragically, rather than receiving treatment upon her eventual arrest at the age of 19, the victim was sent to prison.

“It’s a great example of the cyclical nature of trafficking and how devastating it is, and how if you do not intervene it will indeed continue, and just continue to breed itself both victims and defendants,” Kirsta Melton, who leads the Texas Attorney General’s Office’s sex-trafficking unit, told the Tribune.

Live Action News has documented the way that Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry fail to report child sexual abuse, often returning victims of abuse into the hands of the predators that force them into the abortion to begin with. Several of these tragic cases have been highlighted in the video below from Live Action’s Aiding Abusers project:

In 2011, Live Action investigators tested how Planned Parenthood would respond to sex trafficked victims by sending undercover actors posing as sex industry profiteers into their facilities.

Collins said that about the time God was leading her to become more involved in outreach to victims of trafficking, Live Action released its undercover investigation. The results of the investigation shocked her. In one instance, a Planned Parenthood staffer even coached the actors posing as sex traffickers on how to secure secret abortions, STD testing, and contraception for their underage female sex slaves, and how to make their whole operation “look as legit as possible.”

The good news is that, according to Collins, when a women becomes pregnant while being trafficked, it can trigger her to find the resolve to flee her trafficker in an attempt to give her child a better life. Collins has found that many times, trafficked victims are also lovingly placing born children with adoptive families. “That woman may not escape that lifestyle for herself, but when she has the baby, she gets the courage to escape because she doesn’t want that life for her child.”

Image: Cindy Collins speaking

Sex trafficking survivor Julia Walsh recently recounted her heart wrenching story to the Waco Tribune about how her pimp, David Ronald Mims, refused to allow her to seek medical care while pregnant. Four men trafficked Walsh for almost three years, often keeping her in the trunk of a car until they found an abandoned apartment to traffic her from. Walsh eventually escaped and ended up on the streets where she met Mims, who regularly beat her.

“When I was pregnant, I was still using drugs and kept using drugs at first,” she told the paper. “I stopped using the drugs, and at that point, I still had to work and make a quota. He said all that means is that the baby is his property, too. At that point, the safety of my child was pretty much my number one priority.”

Tragically, when she went into labor, Mims refused to take her to the hospital and her little girl was delivered stillborn. Soon after, Walsh and Mims were arrested, and Walsh was able to receive the help she needed from a caring Waco police detective and others dedicated to fight against human trafficking.

Cassie Hammett, executive director of the Shreveport-based nonprofit Purchased, which offers a one-year residential recovery program for women coming out of the sex industry, told the Shreveport Times that sex trafficked victims often do not use protection, therefore STD’s are rampant and victims may seek abortions later in pregnancy.

“The equation in their mind is, ‘I have to use my body to make money, and so I better just get rid of this problem or I won’t be able to do it for much longer,’” Hammett said.

Such was the case for Arien Pauls, who also escaped her trafficker, according to the Fresno Bee. Pauls “became pregnant with her trafficker’s baby [and] he forced her into an illegal, late-term abortion.”

For this reason, Collins notes that abortion becomes a deep trauma — “not only the abortion experience, but the deep feelings of regret because this is a life she never intended to live, and now it’s taken the life of herself and her child, a second victim,” Collins said.

Collins points out that the pro-life community is poised to help in this area because it is already largely organized, “we know how to help- rescue people and set them on their true destiny”:

I have a training that I do for communities, schools, and individuals. And I also have a training for those in the pro-life movement specifically. How to become aware, identify and help. How to connect with law enforcement, agencies and ministries not only on the rescuing side but the restoration side.

Sidewalk counselors need to be trained as well as pregnancy centers. These victims can be difficult to identify. A trafficker could appear to be a parent or friend. They might be escorted by an older boyfriend or older adult, even an older woman. If there is any question look at age difference, and if she looks beaten or drugged, call 911.

In addition, Collins said that law enforcement must be continually trained on human trafficking, “Police need to be made aware. They need to thoroughly investigate each suspected case. 55 percent of women trafficked said they were forced to have an abortion. 70 percent said they had become pregnant. We must encourage local law enforcement to have a new mind also.”

One of the ways Collins has worked to reach these victims in her state is to develop legislation mandating “Point of Rescue” pamphlets or signage be placed inside strip clubs, hotels and abortion facilities. These documents describe what human trafficking is and explain where a victim can go for help. According to the Shreveport Times, Louisiana lawmakers now require a “Point of Rescue” pamphlet to be available to girls seeking abortion. The program is overseen by the state’s Department of Health.

“The department has focused past efforts on another state law ensuring that every woman who seeks an abortion in the state of Louisiana receives robust information about human trafficking,” Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals spokeswoman Samantha Faulkner told the paper. “Abortion clinics are required to provide each clinic with a brochure.”

Images of poster and pamplet

Women’s right to know and Point of Rescue pamphlet for abortion clinics

In addition to the pamphlet, girls seeking abortions in the state are required to be informed that they cannot be coerced or forced into abortion. “It is unlawful for any individual to coerce a minor or adult woman to undergo an abortion. Any physician who performs an abortion upon a woman without her informed consent may be liable to her for damages in a civil action at law,” the website reads in part. The booklet, which abortion-minded women can access, also gives accurate information about the development of the baby and what the abortion entails.

Collins said that she founded SpeakHope.net and SpeakHope media to provide outreach, advocacy, and restorative care to women and youth vulnerable for sexual exploitation, sex trafficking, abuse, and forced abortion. Through outreach and missions, she has become an advocate for women and children here in the US and abroad.

Majority of trafficked women may be forced to abort… but you can help

It is important for the pro-life community to understand indicators of human and/or sex trafficking, which can include multiple abortions or miscarriages. Many pro-life advocates may be on the front lines when a woman is being trafficked. It is also imperative that the pro-life community understand and educate law enforcement and our communities on how abortion facilities, including Planned Parenthood centers, often fail to protect those who are trafficked by covering for the abusers and by not reporting in accordance with the law. When a woman is trafficked, she may become pregnant multiple times and may be forced to abort or made to miscarry, according to experts who work in organizations aimed at ending human trafficking.

Live Action News has documented some of the tragic cases in which Planned Parenthood has covered for child sexual abuse. Just a handful of the horrific cases were highlighted in our most recent Aiding Abusers video series. Watch below:

In addition to numerous pregnancies, miscarriages, or instances in which women are forced to abort, another indicator of sex trafficking is seen when an older boyfriend or unrelated adult accompanies a young person or female. This adult can be male or female, as many traffickers use older victims under their manipulative and coercive grasp to accompany teens in public. In addition, experts have discovered that frequent use of emergency contraception (such as PlanB or the morning after pill), which can be purchased over the counter or at a Planned Parenthood, can also be a sign that a child is being exploited.

Additional indicators of commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC), documented by Jordan Greenbaum, MD, — who works with victims of suspected physical/sexual abuse, neglect and sex trafficking — and colleagues, published by the Academy of Pediatrics, include:

  • Child accompanied by domineering adult who does not allow child to answer questions
  • Child accompanied by unrelated adult
  • Child accompanied by other children and only one adult
  • Child provides changing information regarding demographics
  • Chief complaint is acute sexual assault or acute physical assault
  • Chief complaint is suicide attempt
  • Child is poor historian or disoriented from sleep deprivation or drug intoxication
  • Multiple sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • Previous pregnancy/abortion
  • Frequent visits for emergency contraception
  • Chronic runaway behavior
  • Chronic truancy or problems in school
  • History of sexual abuse/physical abuse/neglect
  • Involvement of child protective services (especially foster care/group home)
  • Involvement with department of juvenile justice
  • Significantly older boyfriend

In the video below from the Dr. Phil show, a trafficked woman claims she was “allowed to get pregnant because men paid for that.” She also claims she had “several abortions” and “had three that survived.” She stated that after she had her babies, “they were taken away” and she was only allowed to see them as a reward.

According to a report by Northwest Georgia News, Dr. Greenbaum told an audience at Georgia Northwestern Technical College recently, “If a health professional suspects a patient is being trafficked — by picking up on certain indicators such as overdoses, suicide attempts, numerous abortions or sexually transmitted infections — it is important for them to proceed carefully in asking questions of the patient in a safe, one-on-one situation.”

The article goes on to point out:

Medical providers may encounter CSEC victims in emergency departments, family planning clinics (including Title X clinics), public clinics or private offices, urgent care centers, or institutional settings. Medical care may be sought for a variety of problems, including sexual assault, physical injury, infection, exacerbations of chronic conditions, complications of substance abuse/overdose issues, or pregnancy testing, contraceptive care, and other reproductive issues…. Some victims have access to medical facilities for routine testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), contraceptive care, and general health care, but others have limited or no access, seeking care only when their conditions are severe….

In addition to the typical elements of a medical history, information may be sought regarding whether the youth has a regular source of medical care or a medical home and his or her immunization status, reproductive history (STIs, pregnancy/abortions, anogenital trauma, number and gender of sexual partners, age at first intercourse, condom use, etc), history of inflicted injuries related to CSEC, physical abuse or dating violence, substance use, and history of mental health signs/symptoms.

An undercover investigation conducted by Live Action at several Planned Parenthood facilities revealed just how much more empathetic Planned Parenthood was toward the actor posing as a “pimp,” than the young girls for whom he was allegedly seeking care.

Below is a compilation reel of that investigation:

As reported previously by Live Action News, Dottie Laster, an expert on human trafficking, wrote about Live Action’s videos exposing Planned Parenthood for being willing to commit abortions on trafficking victims:

After viewing the Planned Parenthood video my first thoughts were of the victims I have served over the last 8 years. Specifically, the women and girls — their horrendous statements of rape, gang rapes, torture, branding, starvation, extortions, assault and their reports of repeated forced abortions and miscarriages due to the trauma they received. I have often wondered where these multiple abortions took place and how medical professionals had not seen the extensive trauma to their bodies, spirits and souls.

According to Laura Lederer, former Senior Advisor on Trafficking in Persons for the U.S. Department of State and the founder of the anti-trafficking non-profit Global Centurion, sex trafficked victims are often forced to abort. According to a report by Genevieve Plaster, a research assistant at Charlotte Lozier Institute, Lederer once testified:

55% of the women surveyed had at least one abortion, and 30% had multiple abortions during the time of trafficking. Of these, more than half responded that the abortion was not their choice, and many responded by saying that the pressure from pimps to continue the trade did not allow for the time to carry a baby.

One such case involved one of the largest human trafficking rings in the United States, run by Maximino “Chimino” Mondragon. This modern-day slave owner held as many as 120 women captive, forcing them to work off their smuggling debts.

forced to abort, trafficking

Maximino Mondragon

According to the Houston Chronicle, “Some of the women were raped and forced to have abortions.” The paper reported:

Chapuseaux, an investigator on the local human trafficking task force, lives with the images from the Mondragon case. He has a picture of a stillborn baby born at a Houston hospital, perfectly formed at five or six months, the result of the abortion-inducing drugs. He said he struggles with the memory of a 17-year-old Salvadoran girl who was purchased from the Mondragon ring by a source working for investigators. She was raped on a mattress in a room behind the bar before the source could pick her up, Chapuseaux said.

Mondragon and his co-defendants worked with Walter Alexander Corea, an admitted smuggler, to bring the women to Houston and force them to work in cantinas on the northwest side, including Mi Cabana Sports Bar, El Portero de Chimino Bar and Huetamo Night Club, prosecutors said. If a customer just wanted a beer, it would cost $2 or $3, depending on the brand. But if the customer wanted the company of a girl, a Corona would cost $13, investigators said. Of that, $9 went to pay down the debt from the smuggling.

When authorities raided the apartments where the women lived on Houston’s northwest side, they found 98 possible victims, witnesses and suspects, officials said. Eventually, the number of victims in the Mondragon case grew to about 120.

Lorenza Reyes-Nunez, aka “La Comadre,” who was accused of performing abortions, took a deal with the government. The Honduran woman was accused of giving pregnant women an herbal supplement that induced abortions, often late in the pregnancies.

One woman who took the drugs in a failed abortion attempt weeks later had a baby born with a hole in his heart and vision problems, investigators said…

In a separate case, the Montana Department of Justice profiled the case of another sex trafficked victim named Adrian:

Adrian was adopted into an alcoholic, drug abusing family. At age five, she was raped by her adopted father and eventually by her adopted brother as well. She was sold by her family and forced to have an abortion at age 11. At 12, she was gang raped by her “father’s” friends in her own home. She remembers eating out of trash cans often while growing up. After Adrian’s adoptive mother and father died, her brother sold her until she was 14, at which time he sold her to a pimp.  She was able to escape at 15 and lived wherever she could. At 17, Adrian was running for her life again.

The child eventually found refuge at a safe house set up for victims of trafficking.

Victims have testified that, in some cases, when taken to abortion facilities or Planned Parenthood centers, the doctors they were taken to may have been clients of their pimps. In a recent report on trafficking victims, one victim told researchers that the reason she was taken to Planned Parenthood was because “Planned Parenthood didn’t ask any questions.”

Women and girls are often taken to abortion clinics by their pimps or a person working for the pimp, a victim of the sex trafficking industry told Facing Life Now TV. Marlene Carson who had become “trusted” by her pimp, told host Brad Mattes that she was responsible for booking abortions when a woman became pregnant and noted that, “The pimps and the traffickers would get fake I.D.’s for the girls and we would take them to have abortions.”

According to Life Issues Institute:

A hired “parent” would take girls to Planned Parenthood for abortions. Marlene says the staff would be well aware the girls were being victimized, but they consistently looked the other way to avoid losing a paying customer in the lucrative business of abortion.

When asked if abortion clinics like Planned Parenthood would turn down the abortions for the girls, Marlene replied, “Oh, no, absolutely not… honestly they had to know that these were teenagers, they were not adult women.”

Marlene said that participating in these abortions traumatized her. She recalled a 14-year-old sex trafficked victim who became pregnant and was being forced to have an abortion: “So, I had the whole house raided — she was rescued,” she said.

Couple this with the prevalence of abortion-inducing medications and potentially abortifacient emergency contraceptives, and you have created an environment in which sexual predators and traffickers can inflict additional harm on women and children by either taking them for abortions or by forcing them to abort with chemicals, beatings or other methods.

Tragically, the pro-life community has begun to understand that sex trafficking and abortion are connected: they both dehumanize human beings, and they both operate under a false assumption that humans are nothing more than property to be bought, sold or killed inside or outside the womb. In part two of this series, Live Action News will share some practical ways that pro-lifers can educate themselves and eventually identify and assist these victims in receiving freedom from captivity and from the harms of abuse and of being forced to abort their babies.

Former Planned Parenthood staff: We were told not to report sexual abuse

Live Action’s Aiding Abusers docuseries, exposing how Planned Parenthood aids sexual abusers by failing to report child sexual abuse, makes it clear that the taxpayer-funded organization views children not as potential victims but more as “animals” who are unable to control their sexual appetites. In the latest release from the the Aiding Abusers docuseries, former Planned Parenthood workers reveal how the organization treated victims of sexual abuse:

In her introductions of the Former Workers video, Live Action president and founder Lila Rose points out:

When it comes to reports of sexual assault and sexual harassment, Planned Parenthood has used the slogan that we should ‘trust women,’ so lets’s follow that advice and listen to the testimonies of these four women who are former Planned Parenthood workers and managers who all say the same thing, that Planned Parenthood routinely covers-up child sexual abuse.

Image: Aiding Abusers Planned Parenthood Former Workers Testify

In the video, former Planned Parenthood employee Catherine Adair observed how the organization routinely allowed sexual abusers into the counseling rooms with their victims. When Adair objected, she was scolded and told that the victims were better off with abortions.

“There’d be girls coming in with their abusers…. Even if I went to the manager and I said, look, there’s something going on here, she would say, ‘She’s better off with the abortions. We can’t do anything about what’s going on at home but at least we can give her the abortion.’”

Monica Cline, a former HIV health educator and Title X training manager, observed Planned Parenthood’s work first hand:

I was teaching on human trafficking and statutory rape, and was telling Planned Parenthood staff of Corpus Christi and the Gulf Coast, basically, you’ve got to report when you see a girl coming in with an older man that you can tell is not her father. You know something’s wrong, you’ve got to report that; it’s considered human trafficking. It is also considered statutory rape; you’ve got to report this. And they started laughing.

Image: Aiding Abusers Planned Parenthood laughs Former Worker Monica Cline

She went on to state, “And I said, ‘I don’t think there was anything I said that was funny. What’s going on here?’ And the response was, ‘Honey, if she’s not having sex with this man this week she’ll have another one next week.’”

Think about that response for a moment. If what Cline is saying is correct, victims of sexual abuse are seen by this abortion corporation as simply promiscuous and in need of abortions and birth control, rather than protection from sexual predators. And that is exactly what Cline went on to describe, noting that, in her opinion, Planned Parenthood sees potential victims of child sexual abuse in a “distorted” way (emphasis added):

And so their view of our children is distorted. It’s dehumanized. I don’t know why their hearts are hardened, but they are. And so when a girl or a young man goes there for an abortion, or condoms or testing, they don’t see them with compassion anymore, if they ever did. Um, they see them as just, almost like an animal who can’t control themselves; they’re always gonna have sex so we’re just going to give them enough lube and condoms and hope they come in to get tested before they get some kind of cancer. They’re not gonna stop statutory rape.

Um, one of the things that they even mentioned was, they adopted [a] don’t ask, don’t tell [policy]…. If we don’t ask how old her partner is, we don’t have to tell. And so, Planned Parenthood actually allows victims of human trafficking to continue to be victims of human trafficking. And they’re okay with that. I went back to my office and I told my supervisor, like — listen, I’m trying to teach them about key concepts on Title X; they’re admitting that they’re not gonna report cases of statutory rape.

The response from my supervisor was, “Your job is to teach them key concepts, and that’s it.” She was really upset with me that I challenged that.

Former Planned Parenthood manager Sue Thayer stated that Planned Parenthood was more concerned about potential “trouble” from the victim’s family or boyfriend than they were about the victim. Thayer told Live Action, “We were all required to be mandatory reporters, but if we saw a case… uh… questionable abuse, or even for sure — I mean, this kid is being abused – um, we really were discouraged from calling it in, just because, uh, they didn’t want to have the trouble, the angry parent, uh, the angry boyfriend, whatever it was. So, more than once I was told, ‘No, that is not reportable – you don’t need to call it in.’”

Former Planned Parenthood employee Marianne Anderson also testified to a systemic cover-up of sexual abuse at the abortion corporation. She described an Asian girl who came to Planned Parenthood with a very controlling man who even talked for the girl. The girl described living in a place with many other young women, little food, and little clothing. Perhaps you and I can read between the lines here, but for Planned Parenthood, no alarm bells were raised and all they saw were dollar signs for the abortion.

When Marianne was asked how she felt about the lack of concern Planned Parenthood had for this potential victim, she responded, “Degraded, like women don’t really matter.”

“Like men — some men can be very controlling — but I think Planned Parenthood even added to that,” the former Planned Parenthood employee said.

These former staffers are not alone. Victims themselves have pointed out Planned Parenthood’s willingness to be complicit in sexual abuse.

One victim’s story, published anonymously by Feminists for Life, claims that when she was abused at the age of 12 by both an older brother and a college-age friend of the family, Planned Parenthood’s only concern was how often she was having intercourse, not who may have impregnated her:

[M]y older brother took me to Planned Parenthood…. The whole visit was terrifying. No one explained anything. I was examined, gave urine and blood samples, and shown a chart of an egg going around a big circle marked by days of the month. I was asked questions like, “frequency of intercourse?” and “method of birth control preferred?” I did not know what intercourse meant, so I just said “a lot,” and I had no idea what methods of birth control existed. No one asked who my “partner” was; no one expressed any dismay, concern, or even interest that a 12-year-old girl needed a pregnancy test. I heard a lot about “being responsible” and “taking control of my body.

Someone gave me a handful of condoms on the way out and made a joke about it being an assortment — red, blue, and yellow. The yellow ones were called Tinglers. I stuffed them in my purse and threw them away later.

My older brother maintained a strong silence throughout the entire time — no one asked him a single question.

The victim claims that she ended up starting her period and did not keep the abortion appointment. In addition, she states that the sexual abuse ended only after one predator moved away and the older brother set his sights on other victims from the neighborhood.

Sadly, this girl’s abuse — and many other victims’ abuse — may have been prevented if Planned Parenthood had bothered to ask about potential abuse.

Live Action’s Lila Rose stated in a press release:

Live Action is releasing this report as the Time’s Up movement is exposing both sexual abusers and those who help them cover up their crimes — the people who knew about the abuse but stayed silent. While Planned Parenthood has attached itself to the Time’s Up movement, the movement should be calling out Planned Parenthood for decades of enabling sexual abusers.

Planned Parenthood’s indifference to human trafficking is sickening

Posted in child predator, human trafficking, Live Action, Planned Parenthood and Human Trafficking with tags , , , , , , , , , on April 17, 2015 by saynsumthn

I have published before on Planned Parenthood’s lack of concern for human trafficking victims is shocking.

As I published previously, the report entitled, Health Consequences of Sex Trafficking, published by the Annals of Health Law, reads, “the prevalence of forced abortions is an especially disturbing trend in sex trafficking…The survivors in this study reported that they often did not freely choose the abortions they had while being trafficked.

The report notes that survivors had “significant contact with clinical treatment facilities, most notable Planned Parenthood.

Survivors also stated that they received birth control and other medical services from providers who knew they were being controlled by a pimp.

Depro Planned Parenthood sex trafficking

Perhaps the most disturbing fact is that even though abortion is supposed to be about choice many of these survivors were given forced abortions at majority Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics where the doctors may have been sex trafficking clients.

Roughly two-thirds of survivors who specified a location for their abortions, identified a clinic as the site of their abortion.

Another concerning fact is that survivors identified some of these abortion doctors as clients and one worker for:

According to the report one survivor described her situation, “I got pregnant six times and had six abortions during this time. Several of them were from a doctor who was a client– he did them back door- I came in the back door after hours and paid them off the books. This kept my name off any records…At least one of my abortions was from Planned Parenthood because they didn’t ask any questions.”

You can read more about that and see the documentation here.

Further proof of Planned Parenthood’s lack of concern is documented in a series of undercover videos published by the group Live Action.

In one example, clinic manager Amy Woodruff, LPN, of Planned Parenthood Central New Jersey’s Perth Amboy center, warns the pimp and his prostitute to have their trafficked underage girls lie about their age to avoid mandatory reporting laws.

Lie about their age???

How about calling the frick’n police ???

Woodruff was fired by Planned Parenthood once the tapes went public while the spin machine “claimed” the abortion giant doesn’t practice this way.

Really?

Wait..there is more….

In 2002, the group Life Dynamics based in Denton, Texas caught the abortion and Planned Parenthood industry covering for child rape and they uploaded over 800 audio tapes of their undercover investigation here.

In another report they recently published online, called, “The Cover-Up of Child Sexual Abuse” the group says that blatant disregard for mandatory reporting laws have caused young victims of sexual abuse to be returned to their abusers time and again.

pp-care-cpweb

Summaries of actual criminal cases Life Dynamics found revealed that Planned Parenthood showed little to no concern for victims of rape when they failed to comply with the law for profit.

In one incident the report details the criminal case against a 44-year-old man who began having sex with his daughter when she was 13.

Life Dynamics discovered that when the victim become pregnant at 16, the abuser forced her to undergo an abortion at a Planned Parenthood facility. The girl later testified that even though her father helped her complete the paperwork at the clinic, signed the consent forms for the procedure and remained nearby during almost every step of the process, she was able to tell the clinic’s staff that he was forcing her to have sex with him. Despite that, Life Dynamics says that it is evident that no report was filed by the clinic since the rapes continued for another year and a half after the abortion.

John Blanks

Another pedophile who began having sex with his stepdaughter when she was 10 years old also chose Planned Parenthood after he impregnated his victim. The report says that the victim refused to submit to the abortion at that time but relented three days later and was taken to a second abortion clinic. Life Dynamics says that it was evident that no report was made by either abortion clinic since the assaults on the child resumed after this abortion.

“In reading these cases, you will see incident after incident, in which girls continued to be raped and sexually abused – sometimes for years – after the abortion clinic where they were taken ignored the state’s mandatory reporting law,” Life Dynamics president Mark Crutcher, who wrote the report said.

You can read the horrific details of many of those cases here.

The Washington Post has reported :

WASHINGTON POST: Rulers of the Internet

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

What is net neutrality?

Net neutrality is a concept that all services and content on the Internet should be treated equally. Proposed new rules would seek to prevent Internet service providers from acting as gatekeepers.

Examples of how Internet service providers and wireless phone providers have allegedly acted as gatekeepers of services:

— Comcast allegedly blocked a video-and-music sharing site called BitTorrent.

— Verizon Wireless allegedly rejected a text messaging program from NARAL Pro-Choice America, an abortion-rights group. The program would have allowed people to sign up for text messages from NARAL.

— The FCC is examining whether AT&T and Apple deliberately blocked Google’s voice application for the iPhone. Google Voice gives users one phone number that they can connect to their home, office and mobile phones.

— Skype has complained that many wireless service providers have rejected its Internet voice service. For example, iPhone users can’t connect to the 3G network and use Skype; they must also be linked to the Web through a WiFi connection.

NEWSFLASH – Washington Post:

YouTube has been censoring pro-life videos for a while and I do not see them in your list above.

To name one instance – YouTube censored the Undercover Videos of Lila Rose and yes, James O’Keefe ( ACORN Film maker) who proved that the Nation’s Largest Abortion Provider, Planed Parenthood, who sucks over $1 Millions Dollars PER DAY and $350 Millions Dollars PER YEAR from the taxpayer, is covering for statutory rape and possible sexual abuse of minors.

According to Lila’s Live Action Films, “YouTube has unfairly censored two Live Action videos in what appears to be an act of discrimination against our viewpoint. We have carefully laid out the case below why each video that was removed was wrongly banned. We hope you read this and join us in action against this bias.”

Live Action Petition to YouTube:

Dear YouTube:

We are concerned that YouTube staff is censoring videos based on ideology, despite YouTube’s claim to uphold fair standards.

The following links provide the background and case why YouTube should restore our videos:

The Case Against YouTube’s Removal of Live Action’s “Alabama Investigative Video
http://liveaction.org/index.php/projects/youtube/83

The Case Against YouTube’s Removal of Live Action’s “Planned Parenthood Counseling Lie
http://liveaction.org/index.php/projects/youtube/84

We ask that YouTube will restore their customer’s trust and live up to its own rules by doing the following:

1. Promptly reinstate both banned videos

2. Remove the “strike” against the account “liveactionfilms”

3. Assure Live Action and the YouTube’s community that YouTube is
truly opposed to ideological censorship and is taking steps to prevent this from happening again.

4. Provide Live Action with an email and phone contact representative at YouTube to ensure that any potential future issues are resolved promptly

Sincerely,
-The Undersigned

In one of the Video’s, Live Action gave this timeline:

HISTORY
June 30th, 2009: Live Action uploads the “Alabama Investigative Video
July 8th, 2009: YouTube notifies Live Action via email that they are going to remove our video within 48 hours if we do not remove it.
July 9th, 2009: Live Action replies to the YouTube email saying that “...we are requesting for you to let us know exactly where in our video we violate the privacy of an individual.” (see full email)
July 10th, 2009: YouTube removes the “Alabama Investigative Video”
July 22nd, 2009: YouTube still has not responded to Live Action over this matter.

YOUTUBE’S STANDARD

YouTube does not permit video that shows the identifiable face or full name of an individual per their policy listed below. We have uploaded many investigative videos (that are still live) where we have obscured the face and disclosed only the clinic workers last name. In all of these cases, YouTube has allowed these videos to remain live.

WHY THE VIDEO MEETS YOUTUBE’S STANDARD

We did not disclose audio or video that “uniquly identifies” the person in the video. We did not show any identifiable images, in fact, our video showed no images of any persons that did not give consent to be in the video. The audio in the video does not by voice or content of the voice, uniquly identifiy the person involved. Finally, no full names were disclosed, only first names as was consistent with our pervious (and still live) videos which have received hundreds of thousands of views without removal.

BE PART OF THE SOLUTION!

ACORN sting resembles Planned Parenthood sting

Posted in Abortion, birth control, Black Genocide, Eugenics, Health Care, Margaret Sanger, Nazi, Planned Parenthood, Population Control, Racism, Sterilization, Violence against women with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on September 17, 2009 by saynsumthn

Filmaker, James O’Keefe, has uncovered corruption in the ACORN organization. His undercover films have been blasted all over the cable news and internet blogs, exposing ACORN’s callous views of child sex trafficking and illegal prostitution rings. But O’Keefe was involved in a former undercover investigation involving tax payer dollars of hundreds of millions a year to an organization which covers for child sexual abuse !

That organization is PLANNED PARENTHOOD. And that investigation was done with another brave woman – Lila Rose.

James O’Keefe is a 25 year-old Rutgers graduate and a veteran of Live Action films, the group led by UCLA student Lila Rose, 20, which began a series of sting operations in order to uncover a culture of corruption rife within the abortion industry.

In 2007, O’Keefe posed as a 23-year old “boyfriend” accompanying Rose, also posing as his 15-year-old “girlfriend,” in another sting that showed a Los Angeles Planned Parenthood staffer offering them advice as to how to arrange for the abortion and cover-up the statutory rape.

Rose later developed this operation into a nationwide sting in which she showed that Planned Parenthood staffers were willing to cover up the statutory rape of 14 year-old girl by her 30-year-old boyfriend.

One of the Advocate’s video came out at the same time that Planned Parenthood’s Southwest Ohio Region faces a lawsuit from another rape victim who was forced by her father to have sex with him during the time she was 13-18 years of age and an abortion at age 16. Lawyers for the victim have accused Planned Parenthood’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy for perpetuating her sexual molestation until she finally told a basketball coach, who then informed the authorities.

The bold investigation by Lila Rose is reminiscent of the exposé by Life Dynamics, in which a woman posing as a 13-year old impregnated by a 22-year-old made 800 calls to abortion facilities across the United States. 91% of the facilities that admitted that a crime had been committed agreed to conceal it. Of those abortion clinics called, many were Planned Parenthoods.

Listen HERE.

Rose and O’Keefe also investigated allegations that Planned Parenthood is racist:

In a written from President/CEO, Christine R. Charbonneau, statement, Planned Parenthood has denied that they are racist:

“I must admit I had a palm-in-forehead moment last month when an anti-choice group from Southern California released a tape of what sounds like a Planned
Parenthood employee accepting a donation over the phone from an overtly racist donor. Naturally, the right wing radio talk show hosts had a field day
with this. One of them actually posed this question to his audience: “Is Planned Parenthood racist or just morally bankrupt?”

We do not accept money from people with racist motivations, no matter how much money they wish to donate.

Oh, Really ???? Guess you’d best talk to your former President, Faye Watteltonn about that one.

Although ACORN has received $54 million of taxpayer dollars over the years, Planned Parenthood receives $1 MILLION dollars per day – Of tax payer dollars, which they can use to abort Black Babies ! WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE ???? WHERE IS THE MEDIA ???

Planned Parenthood also risks losing $280- million in government funding, primarily through Title X funds, and the abortion provider’s 2004-2005 annual report showed that from an $882 million income they made $63 million in profits.
