According to a website which tracks candidate positions, Orman thinks the Hobby Lobby decision was wrong. “This is a dangerous precedent to set and opens the door to many more court challenges from private employers,” his website says. Orman says he supports access to abortion services.

Recently an image has surfaced showing where Ormom is getting some of his support.

According to the pro-abortion blog RH Reality Check , “Orman, while he has not spoken at length on the subject, has staked out a pro-choice position on reproductive rights. Orman believes that women must be trusted “to make decisions about their own reproductive health,” according to his campaign site. He’s also supportive of same-sex marriage.”

On so-called “reproductive rights” code for abortion, Orman’s campaign website reads, “We’ve spent a lot of time over the last two decades debating whether or not women should have the right to make decisions about their own reproductive health. As a man, I’ll never have to face some of the decisions that women have to make. I know the women of Kansas are smart, and I trust them to make their own decisions about their reproductive health.

“I believe it’s time for our government to move past this issue and start focusing on other important issues, such as healthcare and higher education affordability, tax code simplification, and fixing our broken immigration system.”

Well, I suppose that having the endorsement of an abortion clinic in moving past abortion about as far as you can get- NOT!

Ohio abortionist lies to patient says he cannot remove laminaria or stop abortion

An Ohio abortion doctor has been sued after he told a woman that she could not reverse her decision to abort her child once the procedure had begun.

Ruddock

According to the lawsuit, on March 2010, the woman referred to as SS, who is from West Virginia, traveled to Ohio to receive an abortion. She went to Dr. Martin Ruddock at the Center for Women’s Health, Inc., in Cleveland. SS was in her second trimester of pregnancy.

Abortionist Ruddock first saw SS on March 16, 2010 when she signed six informed-consent forms at his office. The woman claims she signed the forms prior to ever seeing Ruddock and that required counseling was not provided 24 hours in advance of the abortion procedure.

SS was informed that because of her stage of pregnancy, Ruddock would have to first place dilators, known as laminaria, into her cervix during the first two days, and that the abortion would not be
completed until the third day, which would have been March 18, 2010.

On March 16, 2010, Ruddock examined SS and placed three laminaria into her cervix. During the procedure, SS experienced pain and uncertainty and indicated that she wanted to stop.

Ruddock informed her that it was not possible. According to SS, Ruddock informed her that her water had already broken; that he could not stop; that she could not revoke consent once the procedure had begun; and that if the procedure were stopped, the child would suffer from mental retardation. The procedure continued, and the laminaria were inserted. An abortion procedure report was used to document the procedure.

The next day, SS went to another doctor who removed the laminaria and informed her that her water had not been broken. On March 18, 2010, SS returned to Ruddock’s office and was given a refund after signing a “laminaria removal release.”

SS’s pregnancy resulted in the birth of a healthy baby.

SS sued Ruddock and the trial court granted Ruddock’s motion and dismissed the complaint and all claims raised therein with prejudice. This was based on the language of the laminaria release that the patient signed. So SS took her case to the Ohio Supreme Court which noted that the language in the release did not exempt Ruddock from liability concerning violations of Ohio’s informed consent law, medical record release laws, fraud and misrepresentation claims regarding the pregnancy itself, or spoliation of evidence claims. In May of 2014 the Ohio Supreme Court found there were reasonable grounds for the appeal and reversed the lower court’s decision.

Arrogant abortionist sends another patient to the hospital

According to Operation Rescue:

On November 1, 2012, an ambulance rushed a late-term abortion patient to the hospital for the second time in less than 5 weeks from the Abortion Access Center for Women’s Health, an abortion clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, operated by Martin Ruddock.

Records obtained by Operation Rescue, including a 911 recording and Computer Aided Dispatch Transcript, show that a 30-year old woman suffered lacerations and heavy bleeding after a botched abortion at 22 weeks. The caller indicated she was “bleeding bad” and passing large blood clots larger than a 50 cent piece.

This was not the first botched abortion by this abortion clinic:

September 29, 2012. Abortionist Martin Ruddock calls 911 to send one of his second trimester abortion patients to the hospital. The 911 recording shows him to be rude and arrogant. Ruddock then came out of his clinic wearing what appeared to be a butcher’s apron and threatened the 77 year old man that was documenting the incident.

Here is a 2003, Partial transcript, 911 call from Center for Women’s Health another abortion clinic where Ruddock performs abortions:

“She’s stable, she’s fine. She’s an obese young lady, 30 years old. I did a second trimester abortion. She has a laceration on the cervix, at 3:00 on the cervix. I . . . stitched [it] and she has vaginal packing. She’s stable. I just can’t stop the bleeding. I can’t see what I’m doing and I want her out of here.” – Dr. Martin Ruddock

In 1999 abortionist Martin Ruddock, as the medical director of the Center for Women’s Health in Cleveland, was in a dispute with the state over licensing requirements. He reportedly said the clinic initially had a license, but found the requirements too burdensome and expensive. “This is a private physician’s office. We don’t need to qualify as an ambulatory facility,” Ruddock said. “These are burdensome and unnecessary regulations that have nothing to do with quality health care.

In 2006, The Ohio Department of Health ordered Ruddock’s abortion clinic close due to “over a dozen code violations.” The Center for Women’s Health in Cleveland was informed that its license would not be renewed after inspectors discovered that the clinic was not meeting even the most rudimentary of standards, such as taking a patient’s temperature and blood pressure before risky late-term abortion surgeries.

Houston mom charged in pre-teen’s abortion

By CINDY GEORGE, HOUSTON CHRONICLE
Monday, August 29, 2011
A Houston adoptive mother has been charged after arranging an abortion for her 12-year-old special needs daughter during a criminal investigation about whether the woman’s biological son impregnated the girl.

Cynthia Greenwood, 50, of Houston, was arrested Friday on one count of tampering with physical evidence. Her son, 19-year-old Isaac Greenwood, was charged in April and indicted in July on three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14. Both are free on bail.

A criminal complaint filed in Harris County alleges that Cynthia Greenwood, knowing that there was a pending investigation concerning the pregnant preteen, concealed biological matter with an intent to impair its availability as evidence in the probe.
Moderately disabled

The girl has moderate mental retardation, court records said. Under Texas law, 12-year-olds cannot legally consent to sexual activity.
The mother took the child for an abortion when she was 17 weeks pregnant, according to criminal complaints against Isaac Greenwood, but the procedure could not be performed because the child was “too hysterical.”

Authorities were notified about the pregnancy last fall.

On Oct. 15, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services received an anonymous call about a 12-year-old who was taken to an Ohio clinic for an abortion. The caller also reported the “hysterical demeanor” of the girl and that the mother refused to provide any details about how the child became pregnant.

The child, in her second trimester, was interviewed at home by a Child Protective Services employee that same day. The girl said an adult had touched her private area, but refused to name that person. The social worker also interviewed Cynthia Greenwood, who said she did not know who got the girl pregnant.

Two weeks later, on Oct. 29, medical personnel at the Center for Women’s Health in Cleveland, Ohio, told Texas officials that the girl was brought there by her mother. The girl, who was five months pregnant, was taken to the clinic on Oct. 20 and had an abortion two days later, according to court filings.

On Nov. 2, a Harris County sergeant in the crimes against children unit interviewed Cynthia Greenwood, who admitted taking the girl to Ohio for an abortion, but denied knowing who sexually assaulted her. CPS removed the child and her younger sister the same day.

In a December interview, the girl told a forensic investigator that Isaac Greenwood had sex with her and that her mother took her to Ohio “to have an operation so it wouldn’t hurt when the baby came out,” court records said.
