Founded in 1979 as the National Organization on Pregnancy and Parenting which became Healthy Teen Network in 2004, the group says they are a national membership organization that provides resources and services to professionals working in the field of adolescent reproductive health – specifically teen pregnancy prevention, teen pregnancy, and teen parenting.

But…they also promote abortion giant Planned Parenthood:

in addition Planned Parenthood will hold a workshop at their upcoming October 2015 conference (read more here.)

And…we can’t forget the help they get from the pro-abortion Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation:

Bill and Melinda Gates Health Teen Network

The website, Healthy Teen Network, claims that they, “promote better outcomes for adolescents and young adults by advancing social change, cultivating innovation, and strengthening youth-supporting professionals and organizations.”

CDC Healthy Teen Network

According to the organization, “Healthy Teen Network is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Reproductive Health (CDC-DRH) as part of the Teen Pregnancy Prevention: Integrating Services, Programs, and Strategies through Community-Wide Initiatives cooperative agreement. Healthy Teen Network provides capacity-building assistance to support grantees to implement evidence-based programs (EBPs) and strategies, with quality and fidelity.”

mousumi-head-shotMousumi Banikya-Leaseburg, MD, MPH, CPH is a Program Manager at Healthy Teen Network, wrote this charming opinion on her support of abortion rights for teens:

I work with an organization that upholds the right to choose for all adolescents. Healthy Teen Network envisions a national community where all adolescents and young adults, including teen parents, are supported and empowered to lead healthy sexual, reproductive, and family lives. We believe both male and female adolescents and young adults, including teen parents, given appropriate, accurate, and evidence-based comprehensive education, are capable of and responsible for making informed decisions about sexuality, pregnancy, and parenting. Furthermore, all adolescents and young adults, including teen parents, deserve access to contraceptive services, and if pregnant, to full options counseling and services. By supporting full options counseling, Healthy Teen Network paves the way for adolescents and young adults to exercise their right to choose and thereby take charge of their lives.

Personally, I am pro-liberty, pro-equality, and pro-justice. I believe that to give or not to give birth should be a woman’s personal, private decision. Uphold Roe, repeal Hyde, remove barriers and let us be free!

This Healthy Teen Network guide to helping teens know their so-called reproductive rights – begins:

Keep it Simple abortion guide Healthy Teen Network

Adolescents often lack information about their rights to access birth control and STI/HIV testing, the types of health services—including reproductive health services—available to them, and the location of these services. The lesson addresses this gap by providing teens with the necessary knowledge and information to help them make informed choices about their sexual health. This information includes linking sexually active adolescents to trusted community-based providers of contraceptive and reproductive health care.

The gist of the brochure is to encourage the use of emergency contraception ( believed by many to be aborted) among teens.

Keep it Simple EC Back up method

Keep It Simple is a 45-minute lesson plan that covers:

    Minors’ right to reproductive health care;
    A short, fun film, or motion graphic, (4:30) about the services and contraceptives available at teen friendly health centers;
    Information about where teens can go to get these services and how to get in touch with folks who can help;
A planning activity to help get the “heavy lifting” out of the way when it comes to getting started seeing a clinician.

The film called “Keep it Simple” makes sexual activity among teens look as “simple” as going to the movies.

Keep it simple easy access

The narrator claims that birth control is “easy access” because “sex is great” and “with protection you can be worry free and enjoy yourself everytime.”

Keep It Simple from CAI – Cicatelli Associates Inc. on Vimeo.

Now we know sometimes things go wrong,” the Keep it Simple film states.

The solution, “Emergency contraception or EC – you know it as the Morning After Pill.”

Pro-abortion Hillary Clinton: invest in Human beings

Posted in Bill Gates, Clinton, Emily's List, Melinda Gates with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on March 5, 2015 by saynsumthn

With scrutiny on Hillary Clinton and E-mail Gate the media reported that Clinton recently came out of hiding to give a “political speech.”

Hillary CLinton pro abortion Emilys List 2015

Missing from their stories is WHERE and to WHO said speech was given, the radically pro-abortion group, Emily’s list.

As I posted previously, the Emily List National Conference in Washington, D.C. honored 2016 Presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton.

Emilys LIst Hillary Clinton

The abortion group’s 30TH ANNIVERSARY Gala event took place on March 2-3, 2015 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C.

Hillary CLinton EMilys List 2015 abortion

I will always be grateful that I got to serve along side so many terrific pro-choice Democratic Senators, Emily’s List was there for all of us”, Clinton said in her speech.

The mission of the pro-abortion group Emily’s List, according to their website is, that they “will work for larger leadership roles for pro-choice Democratic women in our legislative bodies and executive seats so that our families can benefit from the open-minded, productive contributions that women have consistently made in office.”

Hillary CLintonm hono0red by abortion group Emilys LIst

In her speech, Clinton gave nods to Union activism and also said she and Chelsea will be joining efforts with Melinda Gates, another radical abortion proponent whose husband, Bill Gates has been accused of promoting population control.

Their foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funds abortion will millions of dollars.

Hillary CLinton Cnngrats NARAL 2

Hilly is about as pro-abortion as they come. In fact, she once congratulated the abortion rights group NARAL for successfully crafting abortion as “choice.”

“I want to congratulate NARAL for calling choice what it is, a fundamental American value, and Freedom.” ~ Hillary Clinton on the 26th anniversary of Roe. V. Wade which legalized abortion on demand.

Although Hillary Clinton has not officially thrown her hat into the Presidential race, all speculation is that she will run as the Democrat darling for the office in 2016.

To aid her in this bid, Emily’s List has rolled out a campaign called “Madam President,” which many speculate was produced to put the energy behind a 2016 run for Hillary.

Emilys LIst Madam President web

Women are the progressive standard bearers of the Democratic party and every year we add to their ranks,” the website states.

Completely discounting Conservative pro-life women, the abortion promoting group continues,”A woman in the Oval Office would prove there is literally no position too high, or too important, or too powerful for young girls and women to compete for.”

EMilys LIst Madam President campaign

Emily’s List has uploaded a rather sexist video which features young girls giving a presidential acceptance speech thanking women who have paved the way and broken glass ceilings.

While I think the concept of empowering women and lifting the confidence of young girls is a good one, I find the boldness of liberal women’s groups who, on one hand roll out phony “war on women” themes and criticize the “all male” or “male dominated culture,” also oppose sex selection abortion, as rather hypocritical.

The imagery is subtle though as the abortion rights video ends with this:

Hillary CLinton Madam President EMilys LIst abortion vid

Clinton is a staunch supporter of abortion on demand despite the settled science that life begins at conception.

Hillary clintonMargaret Sanger

Clinton once said that she admired the racist founder of abortion giant Planned Parenthood.

Sanger was a strong advocate of eugenics and forced sterilizations which targeted the poor, under privileged, and minorities.

I admire Margaret Sanger enormously, her courage, her tenacity, her vision,” said Hillary Rodham Clinton, “I am really in awe of her, there are a lot of lessons we can learn from her life”

While Emily’s List and the media is captivated by Clinton’s call for a woman president, Hillary and her “reproductive rights” crowd have opposed every legislation that not only outlaws gender selection abortion but defunds Planned Parenthood.

Child Predator Image 1

Planned Parenthood is the largest chain of abortion clinics which has been caught covering for child sexual predators by not reporting the rape and sexual assault of young girls. To date, there has been no condemnation of this conduct by either Emily’s List or Hillary Clinton. A pro-life group in Texas has published actual criminal case summaries of not only Planned Parenthood doing this to female rape victims, but abortion clinics generally. Girls victimized by their male rapists were often repeatedly raped, sometimes for additional years because of Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry’s callous commitment to profit over protecting these children. Read their heart wrenching stores here.

Clinton told the slobbery pro-abortion orgy at the abortion rights gala “We have to get back to investing long-term in the things that matter most, Human beings first and foremost,” she said.

Clinton mumbled on about the pro-choice or as I like to call them “pro-abortion on demand for any reason at any time, Democrats”, which she claims stand for “the kind of positive prosperity that has made it possible for so many of us to leap frog our grandparents and our parents.”

So, let’s recap, surpassing your parents and grandparents and making Human beings the top priority is now the goal of Hillary and those who promote snuffing out the life of unborn humans? Hardly!!!

A rather hypocritical tweet about the Hillary/Emily’s List/abortion love-affair event, posted by Emily’s List said this, “ICYMI: EMILY’s List Honors Hillary Clinton For “Inspiring The Next Generation

Hillary CLinton EMilys List Next Generation

Correction: it should read this way, “ICYMI: EMILY’s List Honors Hillary Clinton For “Helping to ABORT The Next Generation”

Bill Gates Enters Ebola Fight

Posted in Bill Gates, Ebola with tags , , , , , , , , , , on October 22, 2014 by saynsumthn

I recently blogged about how population control group, International Planned Parenthood Federation or IPPF is getting involved in the fight against Ebola.

Bill Gates Ebola Spet 2014

Now…another population control organization, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has stepped into the Ebola fight. The Gates are huge doors of eugenic abortion which leaves many suspicious of their supposed charitable efforts worldwide and especially in African nations.

According to news from the University of Washington, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is working to avert future emergencies and decrease the spread of the current outbreak. The foundation is working with various organizations to provide funding for Ebola interventions, increase support in the three affected countries, and increase emergency response systems in unaffected countries throughout West Africa.

“There are ways we can get ahead of future disasters by making these core investments,” said Amanda Lanzarone, part of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Emergency Response team. “We work on long term programming to improve capacity of local responders so they are not completely overwhelmed when response of this magnitude hit.”

In September, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced that it will commit $50 million to support the scale up of emergency efforts to contain the Ebola outbreak in West Africa and interrupt transmission of the virus.

The foundation stated that they would immediately release flexible funds to United Nations agencies and international organizations involved in the response to enable them and national governments to purchase badly needed supplies and scale up emergency operations in affected countries. In addition, the foundation will work with public and private sector partners to accelerate the development of therapies, vaccines, and diagnostics that could be effective in treating patients and preventing further transmission of the disease.

Gates Susan Desmond-Hellmann Ebola

According to their website, the Gates Foundation has committed more than $10 million of the $50 million to fight the Ebola outbreak, including $5 million to World Health Organization (WHO)for emergency operations and R&D assessments and $5 million to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to support efforts in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea to purchase essential medical supplies, coordinate response activities, and provide at-risk communities with life-saving health information. An additional $2 million will also be committed immediately to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to support incident management, treatment, and health care system strengthening.

Bill Gates Politico Ebola

The end of September 2014, Bill Gates told Politico that Ebola is a great example of where the world needs to come together. “I’m sure we will be able to get this under control,” he said.

After Ebola broke out in Dallas, Texas, Bill Gates spoke to Bloomberg about their efforts:

Perhaps this news is just indicative of a charitable and philanthropic agenda on behalf of Bill Gates and his Foundation.

Or…perhaps the organization, known for their population control and abortion agenda, has something more up their sleeve.

What that is- we may not know for years to come….but…stay tuned.

If you do not know about the Gates/ Abortion connection read: Gates says they don’t fund abortion so why do they fund abortion providers ?

Push towards Universal National Service: voluntary but an expected rite of citizenship ?

A new push by former U.S. Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal seeks to force – I mean “obligate” – every young adult into one year of government indoctrination – I mean “service.”

franklin_logo_4_0

At the 2012 Aspen Ideas Festival, General (Ret.) Stanley McChrystal, Former Commander of U.S. Forces Afghanistan, noted that for first time in history less than 1 percent of Americans are serving in our nation’s military. He called for large-scale national service, either military or civilian. Aspen then created the “Franklin Project,” after Ben Franklin, who believed service by citizens was central to our democracy.

Here is what General McCrystal said at the Aspen Festival:

NEW AMERICAN RITE OF PASSAGE

McCrystal Aspen Festival 2

McCrystal explains, “When we say Universal, we want an expectation. We want..people to get into cocktail parties and talk about ‘where’d you serve?’…And if you didn’t, I kinda want the people who didn’t to look at the floor with embarrassment…I just want service to be something that people feel responsible to other Americans and so I think that the idea that it’s a rite of passage creates and expectation.

According to their Plan of Action– the Franklin Project would make National Service a “New America Rite of Passage

Franklin Project Rite of Passage

In a Wall Street Journal op-ed McChrystal writes:

Here is a specific, realistic proposal that would create one million full-time civilian national-service positions for Americans ages 18-28 that would complement the active-duty military–and would change the current cultural expectation that service is only the duty of those in uniform. At age 18, every young man and woman would receive information on various options for national service. Along with the five branches of the military, graduates would learn about new civilian service branches organized around urgent issues like education, health care and poverty. The positions within these branches would be offered through AmeriCorps as well as through certified nonprofits. Service would last at least a year.

As The Atlantic details, McCrystal subsequently wrote that “instead of making national service legally mandatory, corporations and universities, among other institutions, could be enlisted to make national service socially obligatory.” As he envisions it, “schools can adjust their acceptance policies and employers their hiring practices to benefit those who have served–and effectively penalize those who do not.”

According to their website, the Franklin Project envisions a future in which all young Americans are asked, “Where did you serve?” and can answer with pride.

( For now ) they say that National service would be voluntary, “but expected, in the military or as a civilian for a full year or more at modest pay, and a rite of passage for every young American.”

Back in January, President Obama called service an obligation, “citizenship demands a sense of common cause; participation in the hard work of self-government; an obligation to serve our communities,” he said during the State of the Union address.

The Franklin Projects explains, Americans can discharge their national service obligation by either serving in the military or as a civilian fulltime for a year or more through programs such as Teach for America, AmeriCorps or the Peace Corps. For civilian service, a small living allowance is provided, so that all young Americans have opportunities to serve….We are working closely with the Administration to help federal departments and agencies use national service to meet their missions, such as FEMA Corps. The 21st Century Conservation Service Corps, a public-private partnership across 8 public land agencies and the private sector, could achieve significant scale.

So this is voluntary or is it the beginning steps of a compulsory requirement?

In 2013, Rep. Charles Rangel introduced the Universal National Service Act Introduced in the House which, “Declares that it is the obligation of every U.S. citizen, and every other person residing in the United States, between the ages of 18 and 25 to perform a 2-year period of national service, unless exempted, either through military service or through civilian service in a federal, state, or local government program or with a community-based agency or entity engaged in meeting human, educational, environmental, or public safety needs. Requires induction into national service by the President. Allows persons to be inducted only: (1) under a declaration of war or national emergency, or (2) when members of the Armed Forces are engaged in a contingency operation. Requires each person, before induction, to be examined physically and mentally for classification for fitness to perform. Sets forth provisions governing: (1) induction deferments, postponements, and exemptions, including exemption of a conscientious objector from combatant training and military service; and (2) discharge following national service. Amends the Military Selective Service Act to authorize the military registration of females.”

This 2013 bill is a new version of a legislation introduced in 2010 which used slightly different language: “To require all persons in the United States between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform national service, either as a member of the uniformed services or in civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, to authorize the induction of persons in the uniformed services during wartime to meet end-strength requirements of the uniformed services, and for other purposes.”

Universal National Service

In his Wall Street Journal op-ed, McCrystal agrees with the idea of Universal National Service when he writes, Universal national service should become a new American rite of passage,” he says. “At age 18, every young man and woman would receive information on various options for national service…Instead of making national service legally mandatory, corporations and universities, among other institutions, could be enlisted to make national service socially obligatory. Schools can adjust their acceptance policies and employers their hiring practices to benefit those who have served—and effectively penalize those who do not.”

McCrystan Universal National Service

Whatever the details of a specific plan, the objective must be a cultural shift that makes service an expected rite of citizenship. Anything less fails Lincoln’s test,” he adds.

According to the Plan, the 21st Century National Service System—wherein universal national service becomes a new American rite of
passage and helps confront our nation’s pressing problems—will:

• Link military and civilian service as two sides of the same coin;
• Challenge all young adults (ages 18 to 28) to give a year or more of full-time service to their country;
• Establish national service corps, building on those proposed in the Edward M. Kennedy Serve
America Act, that will unite each generation in common purpose through service;
• Strengthen and expand the existing infrastructure of the Peace Corps, VISTA, AmeriCorps, and other
national service efforts;
• Call upon the private sector, industry groups, and professional associations to take the lead in
supporting and expanding national service corps within their fields;
• Partner with the growing non-profit infrastructure—in colleges, community organizations and faithbased
institutions—and leverage new technologies to embed full-time national service across our society;
and
• Ask all federal departments and agencies to use civilian national service members to help accomplish
their missions.

In addition, the plan is the centerpiece of the 21st Century National Service System is the mobilization of young people to serve full-time in national service corps and the linkage of military and civilian service in creative new ways. To accelerate the creation of such a system, the plan proposes:

At 18, every American would receive information on options to serve in one of the five branches of the Armed Forces or in a number of civilian national service corps, helping to improve recruitment for military and civilian national service.

Young adults would serve full-time in national service corps. The civilian national service corps would be in areas where full-time civilian national service has been shown to make a significant difference. Young people may apply to serve in any one of a number of national service corps through national service organizations that bring together people of different backgrounds and zip codes to be trained and work together in solving pressing public problems.

In addition to the national service corps,” the plan details,”young people may apply to serve full-time in nonprofits, colleges and universities, and social enterprises that become certified as national service organizations by meeting certain criteria. These criteria include creating full-time national service positions, defining the service work they will perform, providing a living allowance, ensuring to the extent practicable they will maximize diversity across geography, race, ethnicity and income; providing training, and articulating clear outcomes for the service of participants.”

Ok…I have to ask….would this “service” include working at abortion giant Planned Parenthood?

Big Brother as a Gates Vaccine Monitor

Posted in Big Brother, Bill Gates, Vaccinations with tags , , , , , on November 6, 2012 by saynsumthn

According to a press release issued by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation:

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation today announced more than $21 million US in new grants through its Grand Challenges Explorations (GCE) initiative.GCE is a tiered granting mechanism that funds innovative ideas to tackle key global health and development problems, and provides additional resources for projects that demonstrate initial promise. Included in today’s announcement is the first group of grantees who were selected, in partnership with Cannes Lions , to identify new ways to communicate that foreign aid is working. Also new to this round are projects working to develop new anti-malarial drugs thanks to unprecedented access to 400 compounds in the “Malaria Box”.

Ninety-four projects representing 19 countries were funded at the Phase I level including: Vaccine Monitors

Vaccine Monitors

Noor Sabah Rakhshani of the Trust for Vaccines and Immunization in Pakistan will develop children’s ankle bands that change color when children are due for their next vaccination.

According to Natural News, Gates intends to do a surveillance operation across the Internet and locate anti-vaccine advocates. His minions will then undertake a counter-insurgency campaign to neutralize them.

How does such an operation work? I’ll tell you how it works: “This writer has no medical credentials.” “This writer is spreading dangerous information that will harm children.” “This filmmaker tells lies about the most important medical technology the world has ever seen.” “The evidence for vaccination is overwhelming, and this writer is operating out of the Dark Ages.”

And that’s just the nice stuff.

“This writer was once an MD, but it’s been said he gave up his practice after several patients made complaints to the medical board. Now he spends all his time attacking vaccines. He’s a criminal menace.”

“Don’t read anything by this writer. He’s obviously mentally ill. He wants you to stop vaccinating your children, so they can catch life-threatening diseases.”

And it will go downhill and get nastier from there.

In 2010, Bill Gates, co-chair and trustee of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, gave a keynote address at the mHealth Summit, an annual gathering that focuses on improving health care through mobile technology.

Gates told an audience of more than 2,000 that if we could register every worldwide birth on a cell phone, we could ensure that children receive the proper vaccines.

Gates said computing technology has been great for health care, and there are plenty of opportunities to use the cell phone in clinic settings.

“About one-third [of that improvement] is by increasing income,” he said. “The majority has been through vaccines. Vaccines will be the key. If you could register every birth on a cell phoneget fingerprints, get a location—then you could [set up] systems to make sure the immunizations happen.

Gates said he’d like to see a birth registration system, and because it’s a new technology, “we should let 1,000 new ideas blossom.”

But, Gates’ “death panel” comments were made at the Aspen Ideas Festival in Aspen Colorado implies that it is cost effective to allow certain sick people to die and to not spend any effort saving their lives.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

During a question and answer session, Gates implied that elderly patients undergoing expensive health care treatments should be killed and the money spent elsewhere.

Gates said there was a “lack of willingness” to consider the question of choosing between “spending a million dollars on that last three months of life for that patient” or laying off ten teachers.

But that’s called the death panel and you’re not supposed to have that discussion,” added Gates.

Gates is sooooo concerned about children that he funds eugenics and population control around the world and is a strong supporter of the nation’s largest abortion provider: Planned Parenthood whose eugenic ideals are outlined in the documentary: Maafa21

Opening the Gates Wide to Population Control Abuse

Opening the Gates Wide to Population Control Abuse
Brian Clowes
Human Life International

In July 1912, Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, Marie Stopes, and other leaders in the early race-cleansing eugenics movement held their first international conference in London. Among the leading topics of discussion were how to stop poor and “unfit” African women from breeding.

Exactly 100 years later, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the British Government sponsored the Summit on Family Planning in the same city. This is most likely a coincidence, but the irony is stunning. The objective of the Summit on Family Planning was to raise enough money to “provide 120 million women in the world’s poorest countries with access to contraceptives by 2020,” with a heavy emphasis on Africa. Atop the list of the Gates Foundation’s partners were ― you guessed it ― International Planned Parenthood Federation and Marie Stopes International, the two largest abortion providers in the world, back to finish the work their founders had started a century before.

According to the Summit’s “Summary of Commitments,” getting this many women on birth control will require an additional $4.3 billion over the next eight years, one-fourth of which will be donated by the Gates Foundation.

The Summit was headlined by Prime Minister David Cameron, President Jakaya Kikwete of Tanzania, and Mary Robinson, the former President of Ireland. It was heralded by many as “A rebirth of family planning,” as if the entire international development industry had not spent the last two decades devising ever-more-aggressive but friendlier-sounding ways to stop Africans, Asians and Latinos from having children. Indeed, the so-called “developed” nations have poured one hundred billion dollars into population control in the Southern Hemisphere since 1995.1

Eighteen of the 24 nations represented at the event were African, so it not was difficult to discern the geographical emphasis of this Summit. Also present as “donors” were the dozen or so “developed” world governments that currently provide 95 percent of all population control funding.

And, of course, Big Pharma was more than adequately represented. Participants such as Bayer, Cipla, Helm, Johnson & Johnson, Merck and Pfizer stand to gain billions annually should 120 million more women be hooked on their products.

There is nothing new under the sun, especially at “family planning” conferences. Although the more honest language of “population control” is no longer in vogue, the same old disinformation and outright propaganda was the order of the day. For example, the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood, a “supporting organization” for the Summit, distributed its grandly titled “Atlas of Birth,” in which it claimed, without a trace of ironic awareness, that “Access to family planning massively boosts women’s chances of surviving pregnancy,” and compares the UK’s maternal mortality rate of 12 per 100,000 live births (where contraceptive prevalence is 86%) and the MMR in Chad, which is one hundred times higher at 1,200 per 100,000 (and which has a contraceptive prevalence of only 3%).

White Ribbon Alliance is implying, of course, that all we have to do is flood Chad (and the rest of Africa) with contraception, and the MMR will miraculously plunge. This simplistic and very dangerous assumption will cost many more lives than it saves, because it entirely neglects far more effective maternal lifesaving measures ― such as prenatal care, attended childbirth in a clean environment, and surgical care for obstetric complications.

In fact, the dangers posed by the Summit are so extreme that many population control groups (including the Center for Reproductive Rights, which never met an abortion it didn’t like) issued a warning before the Summit. The “Civil Society Declaration” condemns “Policies that accept or tacitly condone forced sterilization [and] the coercive provision of contraceptives. … Any return to coercive family planning programs where quality of care and informed consent are ignored would be both shocking and retrograde.”2

One certainly does not want to be perceived as “retrograde,” after all, but these groups have good reason to be concerned. The co-sponsor of the London Summit on Family Planning was the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DfID). This government agency contributed $261.4 million to India’s most recent forced sterilization program. This type of quota- and bounty-based population program inevitably leads to gross and widespread human rights violations. Many Indian women were rounded up and sterilized without their knowledge or consent. Bribery and threats were routine; women were offered $11 and a sari if they were sterilized, or were entered in a lottery where one woman out of thousands sterilized might have won a car, which she could not have afforded to drive anyway. NGO workers who convinced women to have sterilizations received a cash bounty, so the program was ripe for abuse and corruption, as all such programs are.3

One DfID-funded doctor did 53 sterilizations in just two hours by flashlight and botched all 53 procedures, leaving women to lie in agony on a filthy straw-covered floor. He did not even sterilize his instruments between operations, because he was in such a rush to collect as much bounty money as he could.

A 2010 DFID report said that the purpose of its programs was to reduce greenhouse emissions. Since DfID knew that its money would go towards funding forced sterilizations under filthy conditions, we can properly conclude that the agency considers environmental issues more important than the most fundamental rights of poor Indian women.4

Knowing this, the Gates Foundation motto “All Lives have Equal Value” rings a bit hollow.

Another partner of the London Summit was Marie Stopes International (MSI), which makes Planned Parenthood look like a bunch of underachievers by comparison. MSI peddles pornographic posters and movies for public consumption in Great Britain and has admitted to committing illegal abortions all over the world.5 MSI is especially active in Africa, and women commonly refer to illegal abortions as the “Marie Stopes procedure.” Workers at the MSI center in Tororo, Uganda, testified that it did many illegal abortions and also injected women with Depo-Provera shots, telling them that they were malaria treatments.6 In July of this year, the government of Zambia expelled Marie Stopes International for committing hundreds of illegal abortions over a period of just five months.7

Melinda Gates takes the well-worn road that so many other lapsed Catholics have trod by claiming that “The [Gates] foundation doesn’t take a position on abortion.”8 This is like someone saying that they don’t take a position on racism while contributing millions of dollars to the Ku Klux Klan and the Aryan National Alliance.

The Gates Foundation has donated more than one billion dollars to the most virulent pro-abortion groups in the worlds specifically for “family planning” activities.9

These include the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), which has lavishly praised the Chinese forced-abortion program and has actually helped to implement it; CARE International, which is pushing hard to legalize abortion in several African nations; Pathfinder International, which has been doing illegal “menstrual extraction” abortions in many nations for decades; and, of course, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), which does more to push abortion all over the world than any other organization on Earth.

The most persuasive propaganda in support of the London Summit on Family Planning was provided by Melinda Gates herself, who said that “When I travel and talk to women around the world they tell me that access to contraceptives can often be the difference between life and death. Today is about listening to their voices, about meeting their aspirations, and giving them the power to create a better life for themselves and their families.”10

These encounters were obviously carefully choreographed photo ops with African women who all obediently parroted the “we must have contraception!” line they had been fed by the Gates advance teams. It seems very odd that, of all the women quoted by Melinda Gates, not a single one spoke of the need for prenatal care, delivery in a safe and clean environment, and surgical treatment for obstetric problems, measures that would save many more lives in the long run.

While preparing for her carefully-planned gala Summit, Melinda Gates entirely ignored the voices of those women who disagreed with her goal of flooding the world with birth control.

One of these was a Nigerian mother who said “With her incredible wealth she wants to replace the legacy of an African woman (which is her child) with the legacy of child-free sex. … Even at a glance, anyone could see that the unlimited and easy availability of contraceptives in Africa would surely increase infidelity and sexual promiscuity as sex is presented by this multi-billion dollar project as a casual pleasure sport that can indeed come with no strings ― or babies ― attached. … I see this $4.6 billion buying us misery. I see it buying us unfaithful husbands. I see it buying us streets devoid of the innocent chatter of children. I see it buying us disease and untimely death. I see it buying us a retirement without the tender loving care of our children. Please, Melinda, listen to the heart-felt cry of an African woman and mercifully channel your funds to pay for what we REALLY need.”11

Mrs. Gates ― are you listening?

No Controversy? Facts for Melinda Gates

Posted in Bill Gates with tags , , , , , , , , , on July 12, 2012 by saynsumthn

NO CONTROVERSY?
Melinda Gates and her partners, including the British government and the world’s largest abortion providers, have launched a $4 billion campaign to push birth control for poor women in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Ms. Gates claims that there is “no controversy” in powerful groups and governments promoting birth control for poor women, but here are the facts:

FACT 1*
Melinda Gates’ favorite form of birth control is Depo Provera. But hormonal contraceptives, particularly injectable methods like Depo Provera, have been shown to increase the transmission rate of HIV/AIDS.

FACT 2*
At the UN’s 1994 International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo, Western elites’ language of population control was officially changed to the language of “equality,” “sustainability” and “reproductive health.” The population control tactics, however, did not change.

FACT 3*
Melinda Gates’ partners, Marie Stopes International and International Planned Parenthood Foundation, were founded by leaders in the early eugenics and population control movements, and who were very open about the fact that they did not like the idea of poor people of color having children.

FACT 4*
Several types of hormonal contraceptives have been labeled Group-1 Carcinogens – the same category as cigarettes and asbestos – by the World Health Organization.

FACT 5*
There are documented health problems caused by the pill and other hormonal contraceptives.

FACT 6*
Many nations continue to use coercive means to stop women from having children, most notoriously in China, India and Uzbekistan.

FACT 7*
The British government, co-sponsor of Melinda Gates’ birth control project, was recently found to be funding a forced sterilization campaign in India.

FACT 8*
Hormonal contraceptives are associated with a significantly increased risk of breast cancer. In a 2012 study published in the Journal of Cancer Research, researchers from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center looked specifically at DMPA (Depo Provera) and found that it doubled the risk of breast cancer.

FACT 9*

Melinda Gates claims she is against abortion, but her partner, Planned Parenthood, has publicly set a goal of increasing abortion services in Africa by 82% by 2015.

FACT 10*
The US Food and Drug Administration is responding to the growing body of scientific research that shows serious risks of deep vein blood clots associated with hormonal contraceptive use.
