The abortion industry is now pushing dangerous home abortions

When the abortion industry speaks about women dying from “home abortions”, they leave out the fact that historically, they were the ones lined up to assist women in obtaining illegal abortions. Today, the trend seems to be continuing. “Abortion AMA: Can I give myself an abortion?” published weeks ago by Bustle and written by Danielle Campoamor, points out that even though abortion is legal in the US, groups like Women Help Women are advising women on “self managed abortions.”

A June 2018 BBC article reported, “By buying pills online and sharing medical advice through WhatsApp groups, women are increasingly turning to technology to sidestep legal barriers to abortion.” Women on Web, an international group that helps women obtain illegal abortions, suggests women lie about complications and tell the doctors they had a miscarriage instead. Despite warnings against purchasing drugs online, activists Francine Coeytaux and Victoria Nichols created the website, PlanC, to push dangerous home abortions.

Joanna Erdman, assistant professor at Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law in Halifax, told the New York Times that Plan C is the “same feminist ideology of ‘self-help’ that guided the many safe-abortion initiatives before it, including, most notably, the Abortion Counseling Service of Women’s Liberation, or Jane.”

Today, despite Roe v. Wade remaining firmly in place, the industry is pushing a legal version of “home use” abortion.

The move, being tested in clinical trials, would allow the drug Mifeprex to be mailed to women, or obtained over-the-counter at a local pharmacy. Mifeprex is regulated by the FDA under Approved Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS), which ensures that Mifeprex is only dispensed in certain healthcare settings by or under the supervision of a certified prescriber.

The abortion-inducing regimen is made up of two pills: Mifeprex, also known as mifepristone, and misoprostol, which, according to the FDA, will end “an early pregnancy (70 days or less since the first day of the last menstrual period).” Of course, “the pregnancy” is a term for ending the life of a preborn child in the womb. But sometimes these chemicals also claim the lives of their mothers. This process is explained by Dr. Anthony Levatino in the video below:

Between May 2009 and February 2011, Clinical Trials “to assess the acceptability of home-use mifepristone” were conducted and reviewed in the United States, Moldova, and the Republic of Nepal, sponsored by Gynuity Health Projects. The sponsor sought to recruit 615 women between 18 to 55 to enroll in the non-randomized study, Uptake and Acceptability of Home-use of Mifepristone for Medical Abortion. The trial within the USA included locations in three states — Georgia, New York and Pennsylvania:

Gynuity was founded in 2003 by Beverly Winikoff, M.D., M.P.H, and according to the website, “Winikoff was employed… at the Population Council.. Prior to joining the Council in 1978, she was Assistant Director for Health Sciences, The Rockefeller Foundation.”

Senior Clinical Adviser Paul Blumenthal also currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Abortion Federation (NAF).

Gynuity is funded by organizations known for their support of abortion and population control, including:

  • The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
  • The David and Lucile Packard Foundation
  • The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation
  • Planned Parenthood Global
  • Population Council
  • Society for Family Planning
  • The Rockefeller Foundation
  • The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation

A report published by the pro-abortion journal ContraceptionAcceptability of Home-use of Mifepristone for Medical Abortion, reviewed a trial conducted from May 2009 through November 2010 at “four urban, demographically diverse clinical sites in New York City, Philadelphia and Atlanta…” which reported, “Four women in the home-use group and five women in the office-use group reported visiting the emergency room (ER) for care related to their abortion.”

white paper overview written by authors at the Jacobs Institute of Women’s Health at George Washington University states, “More recent studies include one involving 400 women who received care at six US Planned Parenthood centers.” The Planned Parenthood home use study was conducted between April 2013 and June 2014, and results were published in Contraception, titled A prospective, non-randomized study of home use of mifepristone for medical abortion in the U.S, in 2015.

Abortion promoters are currently recruiting for a study at sites in California and Washington, where women will obtain the abortion pill regimen from the pharmacy instead of in the facility itself. Gynuity is also conducting clinical trials for the “Feasibility of Medical Abortion by Direct-to-Consumer Telemedicine,” or “mail order” abortion pills at select locations, including Planned Parenthood.

website, Teleabortion, has even been created to recruit for this experiment.

While activists in favor of Roe and their complicit media allies claim abortion is safe, recent FDA reports indicate that almost a dozen women, who obtained pills at medical facilities, have died from it, and a thousand have been hospitalized.

The real numbers may be difficult to track since, as Live Action News has previously documented, nearly half of all states do not require complications be reported. In addition, women suffering complications may present to the emergency room claiming they are suffering a miscarriage, without telling the truth about what has really happened.

In the years leading up to Roe v. Wade, advocates openly admitted that a majority of “illegal abortions” were being performed by “reputable physicians.” Past Planned Parenthood president Alan Guttmacher admitted to the Harvard Crimson in 1967 that “Seventy per cent of the illegal abortions in the country are performed by reputable physicians, each thinking himself a knight in white armor.”

Underground groups are already being formed to help commit “cheap, safe” abortions. There are also legal groups dedicated to “liberating” women who commit self-induced abortions. ACOG, which has shown itself to be pro-abortion, has also called for women to not be prosecuted for any self-induced abortions.

Regardless of the legal status of Roe v. Wade, women will continue to die, and the blame should be placed solely at the feet of the people who enable the killing to keep happening.

Pro-life leader suggests Planned Parenthood CEO deceitful in claiming affiliates do not harvest baby parts

Posted in Center for Medical Progress, Planned Parenthood CEO, Planned Parenthood lies, Planned Parenthood sells aborted baby parts, Planned Parenthood six digit salary, Pro-life Waco with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on October 12, 2015 by saynsumthn

A Texas pro-life leader has accused the CEO of as Planned Parenthood affiliate of lying when he claimed that the Planned Parenthood centers he runs do not participate in the harvesting of aborted baby parts.

The claim follows the latest release from the Center for Medical Progress showing the callous way a Texas Planned Parenthood abortion doctor removes an unborn child so she can extract the baby’s organs.

Texas Planned Parenthood breach abortion

The clip was originally published on the Glenn Beck Program, hosted by Live Action’s president, Lila Rose. Rose showed the shocking video during an interview she conducted with CMP’s lead investigator David Daleiden.

Daleiden told Rose that the footage showed a conversation between him and Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas’ (PPGT) Austin abortionist Dr. Amna Dermish.

According to the CMP head, Dermish performs abortions up to 24 weeks, and describes how she manipulates the unborn baby into a “breech” position in order to obtain get the organs she desires intact.

I don’t routinely convert to breech but I will if I have to,” Dermish is heard telling CMP in the tape.

Dermish Planned Parenthood abortion

As with other videos, the goal of each Planned Parenthood abortion doctor is to kill the unborn child while preserving as many of the infant’s organs as possible. This enables them to potentially increase the profit from each abortion by selling the tissue they extract.

Dermish callously tells Daleiden how she removes the baby “trunk in tact” adding that the “20 weekers” are more difficult.

I always try to and keep the trunk intact, just by function. I always try to aim for a spine to bring it down,” she says.

The Center for Medical Progress has released several under cover tapes accusing Planned Parenthood of breaking the law by profiting off the sale of aborted baby body parts. This has spurred testimony on Capitol Hill prompting citizens and lawmakers to call for Planned Parenthood to be defunded of their almost $528 million dollars in federal tax monies annually.

The clip below was streamed live on Oct 8, 2015

John Piscotta

John Pisciotta, Director of Pro-Life Waco, told Saynsumthn that the PPGT affiliate, which Dermish is associated with operates Planned Parenthood centers Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and Waco. PPGT’s CEO is Ken Lambrecht.

“The Waco Planned Parenthood clinic no longer performs abortions but still counsels for abortions to be performed at sister facilities in Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin,” Pisciotta stated.

Although the clip does not state clearly that Dermish’s abortion “technique” is used to harvest the child’s organs, it follows the other under cover videos where that was the motive. In the clip, Dermish describes how she tries to keep the baby’s trunk [ or torso] intact and to keep the calvarium or head in tact.

Pisciotta quotes from the clip:

Buyer: “If there’s a request for fetal brain, they’re always wanting both hemispheres.”

Planned Parenthood Abortionist: “Um, I haven’t been able to do that yet—”

Buyer: “Oh, to get the calvarium?”

Planned Parenthood Abortionist: “Intact.”

Buyer: “Maybe next time.”

Planned Parenthood Abortionist: “I know, right? We’ll just give you something to strive for!” [laughing]

Cecile RIchards Ken L Planned Parenthood

“The new video brings Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas into the spotlight of the fetal tissue harvesting scandal, along with Planned Parenthood of the Gulf Coast headquartered in Houston,” notes Pisciotta.

Pisciotta said that what he heard in that clip was enough to convince him that PPGT’s CEO Ken Lambrecht lied when he said in a July 29 statement that PPGT has never been involved in the harvesting and sale of fetal organs:

“The health centers and ambulatory surgical centers affiliated with Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas have never participated in fetal tissue donation or research, though we recognize it is a standard practice within the medical community,” Lambrecht said in a press release.

Lambrecht earns a hefty six-digit salary from Planned Parenthood to redirect any bad publicity and keep the dollars rolling in.

A 2013 990 from PPGT shows the CEO made over $300,000 from the abortion harvesting business that year.

KenLambrecht Planned Parenthood 990

Pisciotta’s suggestion that the PPGT CEO lied about their affiliate’s role in the harvesting scheme is yet another reason that Planned Parenthood cannot be trusted and should be defunded and closed for their horrific practices of killing babies and scavenging their bodies for parts.

MORE ON AMNA DERMISH

Dermish who was trained by another Planned Parenthood abortionist exposed by CMP, Deborah Nucatola, has stated that she now trains others to perform abortions as well:

It is also a decision that cannot and should not be made by anyone other than the woman herself with the support of her physician. Because of this I remain determined to not only provide abortion care, but to speak out on behalf of these women, to train others to provide, and to stand in solidarity with my colleagues.

But, the Medical Director for Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas in Dallas, Darrel Jorden, who once testified on a state law requiring abortion doctors have the same standards as other surgical centers, said at the time that the Planned Parenthood Austin doctor did not have admitting privileges. Whether that doctor was Dermish was not specified in his testimony.

Dermish once stated that it was a given that she would provide abortions,

I never questioned whether or not I would provide abortions–it was always a given. As an obstetrician-gynecologist, I see abortion as another part of the comprehensive care that I can provide my patients…”

Dermish is currently schedule to address an American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) educational event later this month at St. David’s Women’s Center of Texas in Austin, where she will address, of all things ETHICS “Ethics CME – Amna Dermish, MD Legal and Ethical Considerations in Pregnancy Termination.”

The Montana section of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is admittedly for abortion.

They also oppose many abortion restrictions.

In March, the Montana Section of ACOG issued a statement opposing telemed abortion restrictions:

A closer look at the footnotes indicates that two of one of the articles they gathered their telemed abortion reasoning from were authored by the two abortion doctors exposed for selling aborted baby parts in a video sting.

Mary Gatter Denorah Nucatola Planned Parenthood

Dr. Deborah Nucatola head of Planned Parenthood’s medical services department bragged how she will crush above or crush below the desired child’s organ to appease “buyers” of the fetal body parts.

Planned Parenthood’s Medical Directors’ Council President Mary Gatter described on tape how she would modify the abortion procedure, performing a “Less Crunchy” technique to obtain more “whole specimens.” Gatter then joked about wanting a Lamborghini.

And…both are listed in the ACOG footnotes:

This week, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) is holding an annual conference.

ACOG nationnal meeting 2015 May

The event entitled: Teaming up for women’s health is being held in San Francisco, Ca. May 2-6th.

ACOG Teaming up for womens health banner

It is no surprise that ACOG endorses abortion.

While I am not at the conference, a series of tweets under the #ACOG2015 and #ACOG15 hashtags and also on the group’s twitter page, show support for Planned Parenthood’s founder Margaret Sanger as well as abortion.

In addition, conference speakers appear to show support for the forced abortion/birth control mandate under ObamaCare:

According to the group, “This course will review medical management of early pregnancy loss and abortion protocols, pain management, and complications.”

According to ACOG’s final program guide Prager’s abortion class :

This course will review medical management of early pregnancy loss and abortion protocols, pain management,
    and complications.
At the end of this course, the participant should be able to:
    • Review epidemiology of medical abortion
    • Review 5 Ws of providing medical abortion: how? Who? What? When? Where?
    • Review appropriate patient selection
    • Address appropriate post-abortion follow-up
    • Discuss complications and how to prevent/manage them

Also in their final program guide is this class on late term abortion:

SCOTUS nominee: Elena Kagan on abortion and Partial Birth scheme

Posted in Abortion, Kagan, Supreme Court with tags , , , , , , , on July 1, 2010 by saynsumthn

Sen. Hatch questioned why Elena Kagan pressured the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) to modify its proposed statement on whether or not partial-birth abortions could ever be medically necessary. ACOG later adopted Kagan’s suggestions, and its report was cited in a subsequent Supreme Court case (Stenberg v. Carhart) View the document Sen. Hatch references at this link: http://bit.ly/9XDmUa

For more information on this troubling report – read: Exposed! Kagan’s partial-birth abortion scheme

The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology is well-known in pro-life circles to be radically pro-abortion.

For instance, ACOG supports the most heinous of all abortion practices, partial-birth abortion. When in 2007 the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the partial-birth abortion ban of 2003, ACOG released an indignant statement, which read, in part:

Today’s decision … is shameful and incomprehensible to those of us who have dedicated our lives to caring for women,” said Douglas W. Laube, MD, MEd, ACOG president. “It leaves no doubt that women’s health in America is perceived as being of little consequence.

“… The Supreme Court’s action today, though stunning, in many ways isn’t surprising given the current culture in which scientific knowledge frequently takes a back seat to subjective opinion,” he added.

How admirable of ACOG to stand on the principle of “scientific knowledge” in the face of “subjective opinion,” which overwhelmingly thought sucking out the brains and collapsing the skulls of almost-delivered late-term babies was gross.

But as it turns out, ACOG is the grandest of frauds.

It has just come to light through the process of U.S. Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan’s confirmation hearing that in 1996 ACOG let the Clinton White House, via then-associate counsel Elena Kagan, write its medical opinion of the partial-birth abortion procedure.

Documents released from the Clinton library show ACOG inexplicably (because no one from ACOG will now respond to press inquiries for an explanation) submitted its draft unhelpful opinion of partial-birth abortion for review to the White House in the face of a ban being proposed in Congress and then changed it to suit Clinton’s pro-abortion agenda.

The statement ACOG originally planned to release read:

However, a select panel convened by ACOG could identify no circumstances under which this procedure, as defined above, would be the only option to save the life or preserve the health of the woman. Notwithstanding this conclusion, ACOG strongly believes that decisions about medical treatment must be made by the doctor, in consultation with the patient, based upon the woman’s particular circumstances.

In other words, ACOG found no exceptional reason for the existence of partial-birth abortion. Legalized abortion could get along just fine without it. Nevertheless, in ACOG’s curious opinion, it should remain legal.

Rest here
