An Oklahoma TV station has reported that eight more patients have come forward to talk about their experiences with an abortionist arrested and charged with fraud earlier in the week.

Abortionist Patel Arrested Dec 2014

Tuesday, Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt charged 62-year-old abortionist Nareshkumar Patel with three counts of obtaining money under false pretense after improperly prescribing abortion-inducing drugs to patients he said were pregnant, but were not.

“After an undercover investigation, our office today arrested an abortion doctor in Oklahoma City on fraud charges for prescribing abortion-inducing drugs to patients who were not pregnant. This type of fraudulent activity and blatant disregard for the health and well-being of Oklahoma women will not be tolerated. Oklahoma women should be able to trust that the advice they receive from their physicians is truthful, accurate and does not jeopardize their health,” Pruitt stated.

Patient comes forward abortin Patel

One of the women, who chose not to be identified, contacted News9 after she read a story they published about the abortion doctor’s arrest. She said that she is very concerned about the abortion Patel performed on her, “He had that stone cold poker face, just I’m here to do one job,” she said.

She told News9 that she had calculated that she was about 11 weeks along but said that Patel’s disagreed.

And he pressed down really, really hard,” she recalled. “And I said, ‘That hurts a little bit.’ And he didn’t say anything. He said you’re only seven weeks. And the fact that it was that fast that he could say you’re only seven weeks was like, ‘Uh huh.’” – Oklahoma City, OK – News, Weather, Video and Sports |

Watch the News9 story here.

The patient says that she feels Patel and his Outpatient Services for Women abortion facility took advantage of women who came to him for abortions.

KFOR reports that a woman who had an abortion from Patel called her experience torture.

She claims Patel, who charged her $1000.00 for the procedure, lied to her about how far along she was in order to charge her more money for an abortion., reports KFOR.

More from their report:

I went back, and they quickly did this ultrasound and he immediately said ‘You’re two weeks further along than what you’re telling me,’ and I said, ‘I don’t know how that could be,” she said.

She was scared and didn’t know what to do.

They said, ‘Well, that’s going to be another $500,” she said. So, she paid them.

A nurse came into the room and strapped my wrists down to the table. They strapped my ankles down where my feet were, and she held my forehead down to the table,” she said.

She says they didn’t give her any anesthesia and the pain was unbearable.

I’d never known anything like it in my life. It was like torture,” she said.

The investigation on Patel was sparked by a complaint filed by Operation Rescue with the Attorney General’s office earlier this year after receiving incriminating information about Patel and his abortion business from an informant.

Since his arrest, Patel has bonded out of jail.

Abortion doc arrested for fraud had history of sexual abuse; illegally disposing of fetal remains

In 1992, Gaylene Murphy, Planned Parenthood spokeswoman, was interviewed after pro-life protesters protested at the Outpatient Services for Women clinic, operated by abortionist Nareshkumar Patel, “The only thing these protests are effective for is to make an already tough situation even worse and more traumatic for the women. This is America and everyone has the right to voice their own opinion but only in a legal and unobstructive manner. It’s a shame these people find it necessary to obstruct a woman’s right to medical care,” Murphy said.

In 1993, abortion rights activists, including members of the Religious Coalition for Abortion Rights, supported the Oklahoma abortion doctor even outnumbering pro-life activists who protested at his clinic.

The crowd outside the Outpatient Services for Women clinic owned by Dr. Nareshkumar Patel peaked at about 250, most of whom appeared to be abortion rights supporters.

Abortion rights activists appeared to outnumber the anti-abortion protesters about 2-to-1, the media reported.

Abortion rights supporters used protest signs to cover windows of vehicles trying to enter the clinic parking lot, shielding occupants from view.
The first patient entering the clinic wore a bag over her head.

She was escorted by abortion rights supporters as anti-abortion counselors seeking to convince her not to go through with the abortion stood nearby.
At one point, Shelly Feddersen and another abortion rights demonstrator engaged in heated debate with an abortion opponent, until the three were separated by onlookers.

“These people are control freaks,” Feddersen said afterward.

Patel has a history of abuse of his patients, disposing of fetal remains illegally, and now, he has been arrested for fraud. But, that hasn’t stopped abortion advocates from defending him. Like Gosnell, the notorious abortionist arrested at his House of Horrors abortion clinic in Pennsylvania, abortion supporters care about one thing: abortion.

I call this phenomenon the pro-choice wall of silence and have blogged about it extensively. here and here.

Today Patel has been arrested and I wonder which pro-choice groups will throw him under the bus now?

The details of Patel’s arrest are WRITTEN AND ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED BY LIFE DYNAMICS which I am re-publishing here. Any credit for this summary below should be given to Life Dynamics:

Operation Rescue is reporting that police have raided the Outpatient Services for Women abortion clinic in Oklahoma City and have arrested abortionist Nareshkumar Patel for obtaining money from patients under false pretenses based on an undercover investigation by the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office.

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt charged the 62-year-old abortionist with three counts of obtaining money under false pretense after improperly prescribing abortion-inducing drugs to patients he said were pregnant, but were not, according to police.

According to KATV, undercover agents set up appointments with Patel where they say he administered ultrasounds and pregnancy tests and then told them they were pregnant.

Afterward, police say he prescribed them an abortion-inducing drug, gave them directions directions on how to take it and charged them for the unnecessary treatment.

According to the AG’s office, an investigation into Patel’s dubious practices arose from a complaint that he had performed an abortion procedure on Pamela King, even though she was not pregnant. King was diagnosed and died from complications of cervical cancer later that year, and her autopsy determined that she had not been pregnant in the time frame that the abortion procedure occurred.

Operation Rescue said that they had filed a complaint with the Attorney General’s office in March of this year after receiving incriminating information about Patel and his abortion business from an informant and conducting its own investigation.

The complaints were based on documents and medical waste that had been discarded in a publicly-accessible trash receptacle near Patel’s Outpatient Services for Women abortion clinic in Oklahoma City. The material was received by Operation Rescue from an anonymous source on March 18, 2013.

Allegations include:

1. Record-keeping violations and improper disposal of confidential information.
2. Mandatory reporting violations.
3. Improper disposal of medical waste.
4. Failure to protect and properly dispose of employment applications.
5. Failure to observe 24-hour voluntary and informed consent.

Operation Rescue published a special report detailing information obtained on Patel along with his sordid history. (read here)

Patel, listed as John Roe 7, was also featured in Life Dynamics’ president, Mark Cructher’s expose of the abortion industry, Lime 5 where he writes, “On June 10, 1989, 15-year-old “Elizabeth” had an abortion by [Patel] at his Oklahoma city office. During the procedure [Patel] pulled out some tissue held it in his hands, and told the nurse that it was Elizabeth’s small intestine and then stuffed it back into her vagina. Incredibly, not only did [Patel] not call for emergency care, but while Elizabeth was still under anesthesia, he left the clinic to give a friend a ride to the airport. Afterward, the clinic staff noticed a drop in her blood pressure and had her transported to a hospital. There it was determined that she had a perforated uterus, vaginal laceration, and an injury to the colon requiring a colostomy. [Patel] had also failed to remove the dead fetus.”

Crutcher also detailed Patel’s sexual attitudes towards his abortion patients, “On March 25,1993, “Angela” was having an after-hours abortion performed by [Patel]. She awoke from anesthesia to find him putting his penis into her mouth. He called her several times afterward to find out if she remembered anything about the incident, and she taped the conversation. Police seized her medical records, which were found folded in [Patel’s] desk rather than in her chart. As a result of this incident, [Patel] was charged with attempted forced oral sodomy and sexual battery. He was released on $100,000 bail and left for India in May, claiming that he had to attend the wedding of a niece.”

Patel DoctorAssaultCase-09051993

“One day after [Patel] was arrested for these crimes,” Crutcher writes, “Tina” also filed a lawsuit against him. According to her suit, [Patel] asked Tina to meet with him to discuss her mental condition following her abortion. She claimed that at this meeting he tried to fondle and kiss her.

“Two female employees also sued [Patel], complaining of unwelcome sexual advances and sexual harassment.”

fetuses-in-field Patel

In 1992, Patel was the focus of national news for burning 55 aborted children in a field near Shawnee.

Operation Rescue said they will have updates to Patel’s most recent arrest as the investigation unfolds. If convicted, Patel could face up to three years in jail and a maximum fine of $15,000.

The Georgia Supreme Court heard an appeal of a pre-trial ruling involving an abortionist accused of illegally using Medicaid funds to perform services associated with abortions. Tyrone Malloy who was involved in the 2009 abortion related death of a 23 year-old patient, was indicted in 2011 by a Georgia DeKalb County grand jury for two counts of Medicaid fraud. The indictment alleges that from 2007-2010, Malloy accepted $131,615 in Medicaid payments to which he wasn’t entitled “because such services were associated with the performance of elective abortions.” The second count alleges that in the same period, Malloy then fraudulently accepted $255,024 in Medicaid payments for “detailed” ultrasounds which had not been performed. If convicted, Malloy could be sentenced to a $10,000 fine or up to 10 years in prison.

On March 21, 2008, 23 year old Sherika Mayo, went to Summit Medical Associates in Atlanta, Georgia for the elective abortion of her 25 week unborn child. After the abortion, while in the recovery room, the woman went into cardiac arrest and was transferred to Atlanta Medical Center where she underwent a hysterectomy and bowel repair. Medical records indicate that vigorous blood product replacement was undertaken, but the women coded in the I.C.U. where she died. The Georgia State Medical Board reviewed the case and determined that the abortionist, Tyrone Malloy, “failed to conform to minimal standards of acceptable and prevailing medical practice.” His license was reprimanded and while he was ordered to pay a $10,000.00 fine, he was allowed to continue practicing and performing abortions.

A Search for Malloy uncovers his resume reveals he is linked to other abortion clinics:

Abortionist Arrested for Medicaid Fraud

A Decatur obstetrician was arrested Wednesday on a charge that he illegally billed $205,000 to the government’s Medicaid program to perform elective abortion services.

Andre Williams Arrest

The indictment against Dr. Andre Damian Williams, 62, owner of DeKalb Gynecology Associates and Legacy Obstetrics, claims he charged the government for abortion-related services including ultrasounds, evaluations, pregnancy tests and urinalysis from January 2009 through September 2011.

The indictment alleges some of the ultrasounds were never performed, and the payments he collected for other services were for greater amounts than he was entitled to because they were associated with abortions.

Under the federal law known as the Hyde Amendment, federal funds may not be used to pay for elective abortions and their associated services.

Medicaid fraud is punishable under state law by up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, according to a news release by Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens.

The case is being prosecuted by the Georgia Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in the attorney general’s office, said spokeswoman Lauren Kane.

Medicaid, a federal program that provides health services to people who can’t afford them, is administered through the state Department of Community Health.

DeKalb Gynecology Associates’ website says it’s a private medical office that provides early abortion services, pregnancy testing, emergency contraception and post-abortion follow-up care. The office was closed Wednesday, and an answering service said it couldn’t take a message.

A profile on says Williams is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and graduated from Howard University medical school in 1977.

The indictment was handed down in DeKalb County Superior Court on Dec. 20, but it wasn’t publicized by the attorney general’s office until after Williams was arrested Wednesday.

No lawyer was listed for Williams, and jail records showed he hadn’t posted a $25,000 bond as of Wednesday afternoon.

The case is State v. Williams, No. 12-CR-6359.

According to LifeSite news:

Late last year, a judge threw out Susan Thayer’s lawsuit that Planned Parenthood had defrauded Iowa taxpayers $28 million. Yet more troubling allegations – including lawsuits from other former employees – remain.
Planned Parenthood of the Heartland CEO Jill June calls such lawsuits a form of harassment.
Such allegations, coupled with federal funding led Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly to call for an audit of Planned Parenthood on his program this week.

Doctor surrenders license

LAKEWOOD — Obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Flavius Thompson will not be practicing medicine in New Jersey until he has cleared his name of charges against him. The suspension of his medical license will remain in effect pending the outcome of a trial for improper disposal of medical waste at the clinic he owns on East County Line Road.

A hearing had been scheduled by the state Board of Medical Examiners on Feb. 9. However, a press release from the Division of Consumer Affairs indicated an agreement had been reached in which Thompson agreed to voluntarily surrender his license. Thompson owns and operates the Pleasant Women’s Pavilion. H

e was charged Jan. 19 with illegal storage of Class 4 medical waste (syringes and needles), since his license to generate medical waste had expired; causing the disposal of medical waste that included blood products, and violation of the Clean Water Act for disposing of aborted materials into the sanitary sewer system, which flows into the Metedeconk River after being treated by the Ocean County Utilities Authority.

All the criminal charges carry possible jail time and a fine if Thompson is found guilty, according to Detective Larry Doyle of the Lakewood Police Department, who investigated the matter.

In addition to improper disposal of medical waste, the administrative complaint filed by the state cited unsafe and unsanitary conditions at the clinic as well as failure to comply with certain provisions of the board’s in-office anesthesiology regulations.

The Board of Medical Examiners was prepared to convene the hearing had the agreement not been reached, according to the news release.

“The allegations in our complaint against Dr. Thompson directly touch on patient safety,” Attorney General Peter C. Harvey said in the release. “Any suspicion that the safety of patients may be put at risk will result in our swift action to protect the public, as demonstrated in this matter.”

Acting Consumer Affairs Director Jeffrey Burstein said in the prepared statement that the Board of Medical Examiners considered failure to follow regulations and procedures serious allegations which the panel would investigate on behalf of the public.

The suspension of Thompson’s license remains in effect pending the resolution of all criminal charges against him and until further order of the Board of Medical Examiners.
Thompson is represented by attorney Robert Tarver of Toms River.

The doctor’s troubles surfaced after his receptionist, Lakewood resident Liza Berdiel, 24, was arrested and charged Jan. 13 with performing abortions without a medical license, Doyle said.

After Thompson noticed that his drugs were short, he became suspicious that Berdiel was performing abortions herself and pocketing his patients’ cash payments, Doyle said. Thompson contacted the authorities and Berdiel was charged with injecting abortion-inducing chemicals in three women whom Doyle said were patients of Dr. Thompson.

Thompson’s activities came under scrutiny by authorities after police searched the clinic on Jan. 15 and discovered that the physician also may have violated the law.

“During our investigation, we found that medical waste material was being improperly disposed of down the sanitary sewer at that location,” said Doyle, referring to the toilet. “He also has a facility in Barnegat, but we have no suspicion that any further illegal activity is going on at that location at this time.”

Thompson was arrested and released on his own recognizance.

A recorded message left by Thompson on the clinic’s answering machine said the office would be closed until March and to call back at that time.

According to Jeff Lamm, a spokesman for the state Division of Consumer Affairs, no date has been set for an administrative hearing or to lift the suspension on Thompson’s medical license. He said he did not anticipate that the matter would be resolved by March.

Flavius Thompson Medical Waste

Abortion doctor Flavius Thompson voluntarily ceded his medical license after he was charged with improper disposal of aborted fetuses at his clinic known as Pleasant Women’s Pavilion.

Detective Larry Doyle of the Lakewood Police Department stated that, “During our investigation we found that medical waste material was being improperly disposed of down the sanitary sewer at that location,” referring to the toilet there.

According to reports, the charges against Thompson included:

Violating the New Jersey Water Pollution Act, by flushing products of abortions into the sanitary sewer.
Dumping regulated medical waste, mainly human blood products and items soiled with blood, into the trash to be carted to a place not authorized to accept medical waste.
Storing medical waste without a state permit for a time exceeding more than a year and having an expired regulated medical waste generator’s permit.

The NJ State department of consumer affairs suspended his license pending resolution of all criminal charges against him:

They stated, “Dr. Thompson was charged inter alia, with maintaining his medical office in a dangerous manner by improper disposal of medical waste and with failure to comply with certain provisions of the Board’s In-office anesthesia regulations.”

Attorney General Peter C. Harvey Said this in a press release:

“Our primary concern is the safety of patients. Given the serious allegations against Dr. Thompson, we demanded that he immediately stop practicing medicine pending further action of the Board of Medical Examiners.”

The state of New jersey also alleged that Flavius Thompson failed to have required medical equipment on hand; He was charged Jan. 19 with illegal storage of Class 4 medical waste (syringes and needles), since his license to generate medical waste had expired; causing the disposal of medical waste that included blood products, and violation of the Clean Water Act for disposing of aborted materials into the sanitary sewer system, which flows into the Metedeconk River.

Other charges alleged that he had expired medications in an emergency medical kit; and violations related to the administration of conscious sedation. In 2006, the board allowed Thompson to renew his license.

MANAGER of ABORTION CLINIC awaits trial AFTER …, posted with vodpod

Man Awaiting Trial After Attacking Pro-Life Activist
KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A pro-life activist says she was body slammed by the manager of a Kansas City, Kansas abortion clinic.assaul The activist says she was walking to her car after a four hour protest when she was assaulted.

Now the case will go to trial. The witness thought he was watching a purse snatching so he called 911. Turns out, the scuffle was over a camera and now has the manager of the Aid for Women at 7th & Central faces misdemeanor battery.

“I started hearing some screaming,” said witness Kyle Nelson. “It sounded like this woman was being robbed.”

Nelson called 911 as he ran toward a man and woman struggling.

“He grabbed her arms in a way, and they had the camera you know in their hands,” he said. “He flipped her like you would in a wrestling move to get someone onto the ground.”
Mary Anne Sause is a pro-life activist. She was putting away her signs when she says Mark Pederson, the clinic’s manager came up to her car and took pictures.

“I’m thinking as a former rape victim that he’s going to find out where I live,” Sause said. “He literally picked me up and body slammed me into the ground.”

Another witness ran outside when she heard the attack.

“I heard Mary Anne scream and his arms were on her,” said Robin Marriott with the Pregnancy Resource Center.

She came outside of the business and says she told Pederson to let Sause go.

“I just told him, it doesn’t need to come to this kind of behavior,” Marriott said. “I knew he’d been trying to take a picture of her license plate, well that’s what he said he was trying to take a picture of her license plate for FBI reasons.”

The victim says she was the charges were more harsh.

“Honestly, I think it should be a felony aggravated charge because he did have the weapon him,” Sause said.

Mark Pederson wouldn’t talk on camera and off-camera he still didn’t really want to give his side of the events other than to say he does have a permit to carry a gun. He says that day he left the gun at work before crossing the street to take pictures of Sause.

Pederson’s trial is December 28 in Kansas City, Kan. municipal court. If convicted he could face a year in jail although the prosecutor tells FOX 4 anger management is more likely.

Abortionist Killed: National News — Abortionist Kills Woman: Ignored

Abortionist George Tiller’s death brought an outpouring of national media headlines and Congressional condolences to his family by a resolution approved by the US House. Laura Hope Smith’s death at the hands of an abortionist was and continues to be ignored and her mother’s effort to bring it to the attention of her senator was stonewalled.

Where was the press when my daughter Laura died at the hands of an abortionist?” asks Eileen Smith, Laura’s mother. A media search shows mostly news reports from nonprofit organizations, religious news and other alternative media.

Laura’s death was mentioned 10 months later in one major publication, The Boston Globe, when the abortionist was indicted for manslaughter. It was 6 weeks before her local paper, The Cape Cod Times, mentioned Laura’s death, although it sought out her mother for a two-hour interview just 2 days after Laura’s death. Smith says the local newspaper rationalized delaying a report on Laura’s death so it could corroborate it with an autopsy report.

Since when has news been postponed in lieu of reporting facts except in the abortion deaths of the mothers?” asks Smith. “I have to believe that it is only because the media’s bias toward abortion determines what makes news,” she said.

If Laura had died falling off a bike or in a car accident it would have been in the paper the next day,” she said. “My daughter walked into that abortion facility healthy and she left dead,” Smith said.

Smith believes Tiller’s death is another senseless killing in the history of abortion, adding to the 50 million untimely deaths of unborn babies, including the 60,000 viable babies aborted by Tiller. “His death is a tragedy, but so are all the lives that were taken by him and the lives of over 400 women who have died as a result of an abortion,” said Smith.

The abortionist was indicted by a grand jury for manslaughter in the death of Laura, following an investigation by local police and the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine. The District Attorney found the abortionist’s conduct to be “willful, wanton, and reckless” because he sedated Laura with level three drugs without any means of cardiac monitoring or blood pressure cuff; had no assistant who could administer sedation, monitor the patient, or assist in resuscitating her; and, “failed to timely initiate a call to 911.” The board also alleged that the abortionist made false statements.

“I call on the media to report deaths like Laura’s,” said Smith. “If Tiller’s death merits national news, so does a death at the hands of an abortionist,” she added.
