911 Dispatch tied up by abortion doc griping about protesters

Posted in Abortionist with tags , , , , , , , , on December 12, 2015 by saynsumthn

In another example of the lack of respect for life a notorious abortion doctor ties up 911 phone lines for over five minutes so he can make a petty call to report protesters at his abortion clinic. Abortionist Jacob Kalo, who owns several abortion clinics in Michigan, is not new to Live Action News readers. Kalo’s lack of concern for the health and safety of others was documented on this site after health officials suspended one of his four abortion facilitates last year.

Now, 911 audio provided by pro-life activist Lynn Mills, reveals that on October 7, 2015 the abortion doctor tied up emergency phone lines for over five minutes to complain about “picketers” forcing the 911 operator to place him on hold at least five times to take real emergency calls.

Kalo Jacob

“My name is doctor Kalo, I’m, the owner of 57, sorry, 6765 Orchard Lake Road. I have a clinic over there. And, there is some picketers over there,” he tells the 911 operator.

Kalo then states that this is the third time he has called that week.

As the 911 dispatcher restates the address, she is interrupted by real emergency call, “One second please,” she says.

“What is the name of the business there?” the 911 operator asks Kalo.

It’s Women’s Center,” the abortionist replies.

Kalo, who has been the subject of pickets for years, tells the emergency dispatcher, “I don’t know if they are allowed to picket or not…but according to the bylaws and the state laws if they want to picket…”

He is then abruptly interrupted so the 911 operator can take ANOTHER emergency call.

When she returns several minutes later, she tells Kalo that the pro-lifers ARE allowed to picket.

But, this is not good enough.

Kalo continues to take valuable time away from 911 by complaining because some of the protesters are sitting in chairs telling the 911 dispatcher, “…its not a picnic place…”

He is interrupted for a THIRD TIME so the 911 operator can put his petty call on hold to take a real emergency call.

“I have another emergency call coming in – one minute,” 911 tells Kalo.

When the dispatcher returns, Kalo tells her the pro-lifers are “not walking” adding “this is not picketing.”

Even after the 911 operator tells the abortionist that she will have an officer go by to “take a look” Kalo persists in taking up valuable time saying, “Let me just tell you something. I don’t want to keep repeating…” he says before being interrupted a FOURTH TIME so the emergency dispatcher can take a real emergency call.

Mr. Kalo we’ll send an officer on over there, okay?” 911 asks as they return to the phone.

And…you guessed it, Kalo (the nagging abortionist) continues to chastise the operator, “Yeah, but I don’t want to do that every day,” he says.

911 patiently tells Kalo, “Sir, the most I can do is send an officer over there, okay?

Kalo replies, “Let me just say one more sentence. Somebody has to talk to the guys organizing all of that and let them explain the law.”

911 again tells the abortion doctor they will send an officer over to his clinic.

Kalo still won’t quit, and continues to talk.

911 tell him again that they are extremely busy and says he can hang up or be put on hold so she can take the FIFTH TIME so she can take another emergency call.

He wanted to be put on hold…and he waits again for the 911 dispatcher to some back to the phone.

The audio ends at that point. But Lynn Mills said that the call continued for several more minutes. According to the police report obtained by Mills, police responded to find two older women sitting in chairs outside Kalo’s abortion clinic.

Planned Parenthood to 911 “come to back of building with no sirens “

In March of 2015, Saynsumthn reported that Planned Parenthood removed a patient from their Ann Arbor facility by ambulance.

The incident was documented by Ann Arbor 40 Days for Life.

40 days for life Ann Arbor FB Page

Now, the 911 call of the emergency has been made public.

According to Operation Rescue, Pro-life activists in Ann Arbor, Michigan, are reporting that there have been two medical emergencies at the Planned Parenthood abortion facility there within sixty days.

The video, released by Ann Arbor 40 Days for Life actually documents three medical emergencies at this Planned Parenthood facility and includes a 911 call recording from the March 12, 2005 incident.

During that 911 call, a Planned Parenthood employee who identified herself as “Elisabeth” indicated that they had a patient that needed transport to the University of Michigan Hospital.

The Planned Parenthood abortion worker then made a startling request.

And I would like to request that the ambulance come to the back of the building with no sirens, please,” she told the 911 dispatcher.

The video also shows footage from another emergency that took place at the Ann Arbor Planned Parenthood abortion facility on May 9, 2015, less than 60 days after the March incident. Clinic workers used sheets to obscure any view of the gurney as it emerged from the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic.

Planned Parenthood 911 call reveals Abortion patient “Foaming at the mouth” – 3 ambulance calls to same Obama supported clinic

Operation Rescue has obtained recordings and Computer Aided Dispatch Transcripts for four 911 calls placed from a single Planned Parenthood in Orange, California, three of which were made on the same day seeking emergency transport for patients suffering complications from an abortion and one employee experiencing from chest pain.

The records raise additional questions concerning patient safety of Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics across the nation. Operation Rescue has documented 22 medical emergencies occurring at abortion clinics nationwide since January 1, 2013. This includes five medical emergencies at a Planned Parenthood in Wilmington, Delaware, which later fired its abortionist and closed down for “cleaning” after public outcry erupted.

“There simply is no such thing as a ‘safe and legal’ abortion clinic,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue and Pro-Life Nation. “Women are injured or killed, and babies die as a matter of course in our nation’s abortion clinics and we have yet to find one that obeys the law on all points. Health and safety violations are rampant at abortion clinics, and Planned Parenthood is certainly no exception.”

PP OrangeCa2013The records show that on February 22, 2013, three calls to 911 for emergency help were placed from a Planned Parenthood surgical abortion clinic located at 700 S. Tustin St. in Orange, California.

The first of the three calls that day was placed at 7:28 am reporting that a 44-year old employee was suffering from angina and chest pain. Her color was turning pale. A nurse was present, but no doctor was on the scene. She was transported to the hospital at 8:09 am.

The second call was placed at 12:31 pm indicating that a 34-year old patient was suffering from seizures and convulsions. She had fallen out of a wheelchair and was “foaming through the mouth” according to the Planned Parenthood employee who placed the call. The ambulance was cancelled by abortionist John Paul McHugh, who told the emergency dispatcher that they would hold on to the patient and observe her condition.

PP CA ORANGE 2010

At 6:00 pm, a third call was placed from the same Planned Parenthood abortion clinic. By this time, the dispatcher readily recognized the address as belonging to Planned Parenthood.

The caller reported a medical emergency with another 34-year old patient, who possibly could have been the same patient who suffered the seizures earlier in the day. This time, the reported condition was hemorrhage and lacerations. The patient suffered an altered state of consciousness, according to poorly redacted CAD transcripts, was alert on and off, and was experiencing abnormal breathing. Her blood pressure was dropping and Planned Parenthood workers were starting to administer oxygen. Emergency workers transported her to the hospital emergency room at 6:24 pm.

“It appears that the abortionist on duty, John McHugh, was having a very bad day,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue and Pro-Life Nation. “From the descriptions on the record, this last patient was very close to bleeding out from some kind of laceration inflicted on her during her abortion.”

But that was far from the end of Planned Parenthood’s problems.

On March 9, 2013, at 3:34 pm, a Planned Parenthood employee placed a call to 911 seeking transport to University of California-Irvine hospital emergency room for a 26-year old second trimester abortion patient suffering from hemorrhage and lacerations. The patient was transported to the hospital at 3:59 pm.

Second trimester abortions are usually 2-3 day procedures and involves the dismemberment of the baby. Laceration and hemorrhage are common complications from this abortion process, which is done blindly by the abortionist and involves grasping and pulling motions that require force due to the advanced development of the baby.

Operation Rescue has documented four other medical emergencies at the Planned Parenthood in Orange. Those incidents took place on February 18, 2013, and September 16 and 29, 2009.

“Planned Parenthood needs to close this dangerous abortion mill down,” said Newman. “They pretend to care about women, but their actions — including a steady stream of ambulances rushing patients to the emergency room — speak louder than words.”

Late term North Texas abortionist under investigation in ABQ. More 911 calls show botched and dangerous abortion complications

Posted in 911 calls, Abortion, Abortion Clinic Inspections, abortion clinic safety, Abortion Clinic Worders, Abortion complication, Abortion injury, Abortion Regulation, Abortionist, Curtis Boyd, National Abortion Federation with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 15, 2011 by saynsumthn

Dr. Curtis Boyd is no stranger to controversy. In 1973, Boyd opened the Fairmount Center, which was the first abortion clinic in Texas. Boyd is the only doctor in North Texas who will perform late-term abortions to women up to six months pregnant.

In an interview with the Dallas WFAA station, the abortionist made a jarring admission. Am I killing?” Boyd said. “<em>Yes, I am. I know that.“

Here

In Dallas, Boyd opened the Southwestern Women’s Surgery Center on Greenville Avenue. Southwestern Women’s Surgery Center was founded by Boyd in 1973 as the Fairmount Center abortion clinic. Under this new licensure Boyd can now provide abortion services through 24 weeks of pregnancy.

Boyd also operates an abortion clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico, under the same name: Southwestern Women’s Options.

Curtis Boyd, has been providing abortions in New Mexico since June 1972, shortly after abortion services were legalized in New Mexico. Boyd worked closely doing illegal abortions ( BREAKING THE LAW ) with Clergy Consultation.

Boyd was involved in establishing the National Abortion Federation (NAF) and is a founding member of the Federation’s Board of Directors. Boyd’s wife, Glenna Halvorson-Boyd has served on NAF’s Board of directors and as NAF’s President for two years (1984-1986).

The abortion clinic also has two of former Later Term abortionist Tiller’s employees working there: Dr. Susan Robinson and Dr. Shelley Sella.

In July, the pro-life group, Operation Rescue obtained a series of 911 calls placed from the ABQ Southwestern Women’s Options (SWO) over a recent 15-month time span, which reveal a disturbing pattern of life-threatening abortion complications that routinely endanger the lives and health of women.

The first released 911 recording was placed on February 10, 2010. It indicates that SWO had just completed a second-trimester abortion on a 17-year old girl who suffered from a fever, a possible sign of infection, a rapid pulse, and uncontrolled bleeding.Complications mentioned on other 911 recordings included uncontrolled uterine bleeding, an incident of “heavy hemorrhaging”, and a uterine rupture. All patients required emergency transport to local hospitals.

But now Operation Rescue has release eight New Abortion 911 Tapes which reveal causalities, callousness, and cover-ups and a scandalous pattern of botched abortions at two Albuquerque abortion clinics.

Caller told by another clinic employee to “act dumb” to a dispatcher after expressing concerns over questions during a late-term abortion emergency.

The 13 calls show that life-threatening abortion complications requiring emergency assistance occur at the rate of one every 10 weeks.

The eight newly obtained calls were placed between November, 2008 and December, 2009, with six originating from Southwestern Women’s Options, owned by Curtis Boyd, and the UNM Center for Reproductive Health, an abortion clinic that acts as an abortion training grounds for the University of New Mexico.

As disturbing as the critical nature of these life-threatening emergencies are, perhaps more disturbing are the callous attitudes of some of the abortion workers and their willingness to cover up for the abortionists,” said Operation Rescue Senior Policy Advisor Cheryl Sullenger. “The clinic workers are careful about how much information they revealed to the emergency dispatchers, and in many cases, even attempt to shift the blame for the complications onto the woman. Their general actions and attitudes toward the woman they just injured are despicable.”

One clinic worker from Southwestern Women’s Options expressed concern over the questions the 911 dispatcher was asking. While she thought she was on hold, this exchange took place:
SWO Employee: [Whispering] I don’t know – I don’t know what information he’s asking me.

Background Voice: Just talk to him – act dumb.

SWO Employee: [Whispering] Okay. Exactly. Yeah.

The latest tapes obtained under an open records act request made by Tara Shaver of Project Defending Life, who forwarded the recordings to Operation Rescue. They show women ranging in ages from 18 to 34 who were between 8 weeks and approximately 24 weeks pregnant. Complications included:

• Uterine rupture with heavy bleeding.
• A panic-stricken 18-yer old patient with chest pains, numbness, and a severe headache after a late-term abortion.
• Cervical laceration with hemorrhaging.
• Uncontrolled bleeding after first and second trimester abortions.
• Multiple seizures.
• Abortion on a woman with an undiagnosed ectopic (tubal) pregnancy.

“It’s just wrong for paramedics to have to clean up after these abortion quacks every ten weeks. We demand the immediate closure of the two Albuquerque clinics involved for the protection of the public“, said Sullenger.

Operation Rescue is preparing new complaints against the abortionists involved. Three abortionists from Southwestern Women’s Options, Curtis Boyd, Shelley Sella, and Susan Robinson are already under investigation by the New Mexico Medical Board.

Abortionist Curtis Boyd is beloved by the National Abortion Federation (NAF) who tries to convince the public that the abortion industry cares about the safety of women:

This Statement is recorded in a National Abortion Federation Document:
Dr. Curtis Boyd, MD, Albuquerque, New Mexico
As a physician it never occurred to me to do an abortion. I didn’t know how. But as I continued to work with the church groups and to refer women out of the U.S. for abortions, those desperate women kept pleading, “But, Doctor, can’t you do something?” At first, the answer was obvious. Of course not. In their desperation, I’m sure that those women had no idea what they were asking of me. I would risk my medical license, my entire career, my young family’s well being, and my own freedom, if I performed an illegal abortion. Ultimately, I risked all those things which I held dear because I could no longer live with the knowledge that I could do something and I was choosing not to. Many of the doctors of conscience who have provided abortions though the years were moved to do so by the horrors of botched illegal abortions. I saw those ill and sometimes dying women in my medical training too. I was moved by their plight. But that was not what drove me to risk my career and sometimes my life. I was moved by the certain knowledge that women’s lives could be ruined when they could not abort a pregnancy.”

7-8-2011
Albuquerque, NM – Operation Rescue has obtained a series of 911 calls placed from Southwestern Women’s Options (SWO) over a recent 15-month time span, which reveal a disturbing pattern of life-threatening abortion complications that routinely endanger the lives and health of women.

The first released 911 recording was placed on February 10, 2010. It indicates that SWO had just completed a second-trimester abortion on a 17-year old girl who suffered from a fever, a possible sign of infection, a rapid pulse, and uncontrolled bleeding.

“She just had the second tri procedure and she has a fever that’s spiking right now and then her pulse is up to 172 with some bleeding that they can’t get under control,” a SWO employee told the 911 dispatcher.

The call originated at 11:04 PM. The SWO employee told the dispatcher, “It looks like we’re closed, but we are in the office.”

“Secrecy is the order of the day at abortion clinics like this across the country. We seek to expose the truth about what goes on behind closed doors, under cover of darkness at these abortion mills so that women will be warned and the public will see that it is time for the grisly practice of abortion to end,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “Recordings like this help us see the reality behind the abortionist’s empty rhetoric.”

Complications mentioned on other 911 recordings included uncontrolled uterine bleeding, an incident of “heavy hemorrhaging”, and a uterine rupture. All patients required emergency transport to local hospitals.

Former Kansas late-term abortionists Shelley Sella and Susan Robinson are employees of SWO, which is owned by Texas abortionist Curtis Boyd. It is believed that either Sella or Robinson was involved in the botched abortions on women ranging in age from 17 to 30.

“When Sella and Robinson worked at a now-closed late-term abortion mill in Wichita, we documented numerous botched abortions that landed women in the hospital. We predicted when they relocated to New Mexico, where there are few, if any safety rules, more women would suffer tragedy. That prediction has now come true,” said Newman.

“We have filed complaints against the abortionists at this clinic, Curtis Boyd, Susan Robinson and Shelley Sella, and have turned over the emergency transcripts for them to investigate. These abortionists present an obvious danger to the public and need to be held accountable for the injuries they are inflicting on unsuspecting women.”

From Pro-Life Action League:

On April 1, while praying and sidewalk counseling at Planned Parenthood in Aurora, Illinois, League Executive Director Eric Scheidler and I witnessed and documented an ambulance taking a Planned Parenthood client away—an all too common sight at abortion facilities.

At the time we had very little information about the incident. Planned Parenthood always tries to cover up when things go wrong so finding out anything about the situation was very difficult.

But, through a Freedom of Information Act request we were able to uncover the recording of the 911 call and some other details. This short video shows what we saw of the incident along with the audio of the call showing once again that, no matter what Planned Parenthood says, abortion clinics are not safe places for women.

Emergency at Planned Parenthood Aurora
Posted by Matt Yonke (April 1, 2011 at 4:45 pm)
Ambulance and police cars at Planned Parenthood Aurora

Today League Executive Director Eric Scheidler and I were out praying and sidewalk counseling at Planned Parenthood in Aurora, Illinois. It was a cold, rainy April afternoon, but we were getting a lot of literature into people’s hands, mostly as they were exiting the clinic.

I got the impression that many people had not gotten the help they were looking for from Planned Parenthood and were happy to hear about other options, like Waterleaf Women’s Center, our local pregnancy resource center just down the street.

As we were getting to the end of our hour of prayer and counseling, an ambulance came tearing around the corner from New York Street and sped into Planned Parenthood’s parking lot. I’ve seen a few ambulances come to Planned Parenthood and this one was certainly moving with purpose.
Planned Parenthood’s Clear Priority

The EMTs leaped out of the ambulance and ran into the side door of the facility—a door I’d never seen used in the nearly four years I’ve been protesting and praying outside this clinic. Shortly afterward, one, two and finally three Aurora police cars sped into the lot and set up a sort of perimeter around the ambulance.

A few minutes later, the EMTs came back out with a gurney and, as is their habit, Planned Parenthood’s employees’ first priority was to hold up a sheet over their victim so nobody could see what they had done to her. It never ceases to amaze me how keeping their dirty little secrets secret takes first priority over everything else, even getting this poor girl into the ambulance quicker.

Inscrutable Delays

Then a strange thing happened. The ambulance didn’t leave, but stayed in the parking lot for a full 25 minutes—something I don’t think I’ve ever seen before.

I’m not sure if that indicates that the issue was not as serious as they first thought, or that it was so serious that they couldn’t afford to transport her to the hospital before treating her.

As we waited, Eric and I finished our prayers along with local pro-life stalwart Jerry Nickels, who had seen the flashing lights as he drove by the clinic and stopped to see if he could help.
Ambulance leaves Planned Parenthood Aurora

Ambulance speeds away to the hospital

Finally, the police left, and the ambulance sped away shortly after to nearby Rush-Copley Medical Center. Eric and I tried to glean any details we could from the scene to clear up what had happened, but no evidence was forthcoming.

This incident comes on the heels of another woman being wheeled out of Planned Parenthood’s Chicago facility two weeks ago into an ambulance looking a bloody mess. It’s clear, not only is Planned Parenthood a deadly place for the child in the womb, it’s a horrible place for mothers as well.

As I wrote in a recent post, these are not things you see outside a normal medical facility, certainly not this frequently. It’s like I often tell women when I’m sidewalk counseling, “This is not a place you want to be.”
