Planned Parenthood ignored another victim’s sexual abuse and multiple abortions

A November 2017 Court of Appeals document from the state of Washington indicates that a sexual predator raped his daughter over a period of seven years, taking her to Planned Parenthood for multiple abortions to cover his crimes. Planned Parenthood failed to report the incidents, as it has failed to report child sexual abuse in violation of both state and federal law many times in the past.

Live Action News has documented numerous criminal cases (read here and here), showing that Planned Parenthood is covering for these sexual predators. Yet the news media, politicians, and Hollywood stars continue to rally around this abortion corporation, while young sexual assault victims are left unprotected and continue to be abused for years.

In the November 2017 case, court records show that George Edward Savanah, who was convicted of two counts of third degree rape of a child and two counts of first degree incest, sexually abused his daughter, impregnating her three times. He then took her to Planned Parenthood for abortions.

The victim, referred to as “R” in the court documents, testified that her father raped her for the first time when she was just 14 years old.

A brief filed in the case reveals:

  • Savanah raped his daughter for the first time on Christmas Eve of 2007, when R was 14 years old.
  • Savanah had sex with R several times a week for the next seven years.
  • When she cried, he told her to “shut up and take it like a woman.”
  • The last time Savanah had sex with R was about a week before Easter in 2014.

The young rape victim told authorities that Savanah impregnated her a total of three times at the ages of 14, 16 and 17, and each time he took her to Planned Parenthood for abortions to cover the crime. Any pregnant 14-year-old brought in for an abortion should automatically trigger suspicion from a medical provider, including mandatory reporters like Planned Parenthood. But Planned Parenthood, as has been shown time and again, sees no red flags with such victims. After all, Planned Parenthood sees no problemwith a majority of teen girls being sexually active.

As is fairly typical, there was no indication made in the document that Planned Parenthood contacted authorities to report the crime. Instead, as seems to be Planned Parenthood’s pattern, they returned the young rape victim into the hands of her abuser, and Savanah continued to sexually molest the young child for the next seven years.

Abortion #1 (2007)

  • R became pregnant for the first time when she was 14.
  • Savanah, who tracked R’s menstrual periods, was the first to know.
  • He obtained a home pregnancy test for her, and when it was positive, took R to Planned Parenthood for her first abortion.

Abortion #2 (2008)
  • Savanah impregnated R for the second time the following summer, and again took her to Planned Parenthood for an abortion.
Abortion #3 (2012)
  • R became pregnant for a third time in October 2012, just before her 18th birthday.
  • This time, Savanah took R to a different Planned Parenthood because he did not want anyone to notice.

Records from Planned Parenthood used in court confirmed that Savanah took “R” to the Planned Parenthood facilities for the abortion procedures. The court record indicates that no one else knew about R’s pregnancies [except two different Planned Parenthood facilities] and that R had never had sex with anyone but Savanah.

The document also states that the sexual assaults only became public once the victim, not Planned Parenthood, spoke to her aunt about the abuse, nearly seven years after the victim was taken for her first abortion at Planned Parenthood. The fact is, had these rapes been reported by Planned Parenthood to authorities in 2007, when the victim was first taken to them, it could have prevented “R” from continued rapes and the trauma of additional abortions.

At sentencing for Savanah’s horrific crimes, the trial court imposed concurrent high-end standard-range sentences totaling 102 months of incarceration and 18 months of community custody. But for Planned Parenthood’s silence, they continue to receive millions of government dollars each year, while this victim is scarred for life.

Sadly she is not the only one betrayed by this taxpayer-funded organization.

In a 2014, a report from the Annals of Health Law, “Health Consequences of Sex Trafficking,” highlighted how victims of sex trafficking have stepped forward to testify about how they were forced to abort their babies, and also stated that they received other medical services from providers who knew they were being controlled by pimps. One victim said that the reason she was taken to Planned Parenthood was because “Planned Parenthood didn’t ask any questions.”

Planned Parenthood has been repeatedly silent in the face of sexual abuse, and yet, the media says nothing.

Case in point: In 2008, Live Action released its child sexual abuse investigation into Planned Parenthood, which found that eight Planned Parenthood facilities in six different states were willing to cover up sexual abuse, including disregarding mandatory reporting laws of suspected statutory rape. Facilities even provided instructions to the undercover investigators on how to circumvent parental consent laws.

Yet, this abortion corporation, which flaunts the law, continued to receive half a billion dollars every year from the taxpayer, while politicians and media alike approved.

In 2011, Live Action’s first investigation was followed by another, which set out to see how Planned Parenthood would respond to sex traffickers seeking services, including abortions, for their underage sex slaves.

In this investigation, Live Action sent a male and female undercover investigator into Planned Parenthood facilities in New Jersey, Virginia, New York, and D.C., posing as pimps seeking health services, including abortions, for underaged girls. Live Action claimed the videos proved Planned Parenthood was in violation of the law, which states that sex trafficking of minors is a crime and anyone who aids or abets a sex trafficker could also be punished with a crime.

And again, the millions in taxpayer dollars kept flowing to Planned Parenthood, despite the fact that government dollars can be removed when providers of Title X Family Planning funds fail to report child abuse.

Planned Parenthood’s response was to simply deny the accusation while claiming they would retain staffers. And they were able to get away with it, because instead of joining with Live Action and demanding an investigation, the media became part of Planned Parenthood’s PR machine, attempting to alleviate all concerns.

Even when, in 2016, Live Action produced FOIA documents disproving Planned Parenthood’s claim that it had contacted authorities to report the pimp, the media turned a blind eye.

Live Action FOIA Letters Planned Parenthood sex trafficking

Live Action then produced more evidence in the form of a video interview with former Planned Parenthood employee Ramona Trevino, who stated that Planned Parenthood lied when they said they would retrain staffers. Instead, they trained their staffers to spot undercover investigators like Lila Rose:

Planned Parenthood has access to our children through sex education programs in many schools. How can they continue to be trusted when they appear to care so little about children being sexually abused by rapists?

Why has Planned Parenthood been granted a pass from criticism and blame?

Live Action News will continue to expose how the media purposely lends a hand to the child sexual predators and abusers by covering for Planned Parenthood. Maybe one day, the complicity machine will end and Planned Parenthood’s silence breakers will be given a voice.

Planned Parenthood, sexual abuse enabler, joins #MeToo against Trump

Posted in Cecile Richards, MeToo, Planned Parenthood CEO, Tarana Burke with tags , , , , , , on February 14, 2018 by saynsumthn

Planned Parenthood and the pro-abortion National Organization for Women (NOW) were among the top sponsors of this month’s State of Our Union response, which included a speech from Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards. Planned Parenthood is America’s number one abortion provider, and Richards has been at the helm for the past decade. She recently announced that she will be stepping down from that position this year. Richards is a political organizer who presumes to speak as the voice for all women. But the very idea of speaking for all women is ridiculous, given the changing culture on abortion and the virtual army of pro-life women opposing Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood and NOW sponsor State of Our Union

To date, Richards is responsible for presiding over the deaths of millions of preborn babies. She has led Planned Parenthood through scandal after scandal, including the deliberate cover-up of child sexual abuse, Medicaid fraud accusations, failing to protect the privacy of patients, and harvesting aborted baby body parts for “compensation,” to name a few.

On the day of President’s Trump 2018 State of the Union Address, Richards joined Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), Alicia Garza, cofounder of #BlackLivesMatter, and others at an event they dubbed “The State of Our Union,” (SOOU), to organize against the president and the Republican majority. The press release, published by The People’s Action, read in part:

While President Trump delivers his first State of the Union address on Tuesday, leading women activists from throughout the country are hosting an alternative event in Washington, D.C. – The State of Our Union – to provide our voice and vision for the country, and to address and defeat persistent gender inequality and racism.

People’s Action is joining other national leaders including Ai-jen Poo (National Domestic Workers Alliance), Tarana Burke (Girls for Gender Equity and ‘MeToo’ movement), Mónica Ramirez (National Farmworker Women’s Alliance), Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood, Kristin Rowe Finkbeiner of MomsRising, Arisha Hatch of Color of Change, along with Congressional champions like Pramila Jayapal, to lift up the stories and voices of our communities.

Organizers boldly praised Planned Parenthood, ignoring the fact that it was founded by Margaret Sanger, a eugenicist who once bragged about her meeting with members of the Klu Klux Klan. To date, Planned Parenthood “honors” Sanger, calling her a hero. Some Planned Parenthood centers still proudly wear Sanger’s name. In addition, Planned Parenthood’s top award is named after Margaret Sanger.

Live Action News has repeatedly documented how Planned Parenthood had direct ties to the eugenics movement, sharing board members between the organizations, and even receiving free rent from eugenics organizations.

Prior to the State of Our Union event, Richards appeared on MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell show to discuss efforts to  resist president Trump — specifically, his pro-life policies. Richards, who receives a million dollar salary from Planned Parenthood, has now set her sights on the 2018 Congressional elections.

“I think it is really important not to forget, as we’re discussing the way forward, is that there’s a whole other branch of Government – that’s the US Congress, that we have to focus on. The things that they have already pledged to do – you know. Paul Ryan, practically the first day, saying that they were going to defund Planned Parenthood….”

After hearing from several women, many who recounted emotional stories, the group at the SOOU welcomed Cecile Richards to give the “women’s response.”

Richards began her speech by claiming that the Trump administration “wants to divide us.” She proclaimed, “It’s not that women haven’t been speaking out… but now, we have found a new frequency and folks are finally listening — alright — and we are not giving it up.”

That “new frequency” is due in part to voices from the #MeToo movement, arising to denounce sexual abuse and harassment. Richards wasted little time inserting herself into that movement to push Planned Parenthood’s political agenda, despite the abortion corporation’s own repeated history of covering up sexual abuse.

Despite numerous criminal cases documenting how sexual assault victims were not protected by Planned Parenthood but instead were returned to sexual predators, some women aren’t listening. The “State of Our Union” event was organized in part by #MeToo founder, Tarana Burke, who recently received an awardfrom Planned Parenthood. And what did Burke have to say about the event? “I could not be more excited and proud to…be a part of this evening…Standing in solidarity with these women, and organizations that are represented tonight.” As for the scandals of Planned Parenthood’s continued victimization of sexual abuse victims: silence.

Burke said the event was organized as a deliberate effort to not attend the president’s speech at the Capitol building.  Burke claimed women’s voices have not been heard. She spoke of a “systemic dismantling of so many issues that affect women,” describing the “collective power” of women to work across “industries and issues.”

She then went on to tout the “power” of Planned Parenthood, which receives over half a billion dollars a year from taxpayers. “What does it look like when you activate the power of the Women’s March and Planned Parenthood in the fight for low wage earners?” Burke asked.

Burke noted the fight against sexual harassment and violence, stating passionately that the “trauma of sexual violence is probably one of the most devastating things a person can experience,” yet, she failed to call out Planned Parenthood for its systemic enabling of child sexual abuse.

“My name is Tarana Burke and I believe in our union. And, I pledge to stand for survivors of sexual violence from all walks of life. For the rest of my life,” Burke vowed.

But, sadly, Planned Parenthood Action Fund was one of the group’s host committee members and according to the MC, “has been working so hard to make sure this event was a success.”

Richards told the group that “Women have beaten the odds,” in part because “Planned Parenthood’s doors are open all across the United States of America.”

But in truth, Planned Parenthood has been losing patients for years, and has been closing centers in record numbers. In 2016, Planned Parenthood claims to have served 2.4 million patients — a near 23 percent drop from the 3.1 million they boasted just ten years ago in 2006. And, while Planned Parenthood’s patients are steadily declining, federally funded health centers, as identified by the federal Health Resources and Services Administration, served nearly 26 million patients in 2016 alone.

But while Planned Parenthood is still receiving the full funding of the government despite its plummeting patients, Richards blamed Trump and Congress for allegedly limiting women’s access to “cancer screenings and birth control.” It’s just not true: According to Planned Parenthood’s own reports, Planned Parenthood is the one reducing those services for women, not Trump or Congress.

Cancer screenings at Planned Parenthood have plunged 67 percent since 2006, from 2,007,371 screenings to just 660,777 in 2016. Even contraceptive services there have dropped by more than 32 percent (3,989,474 in 2006 to 2,701,866 in 2016). And this decline occurred all while government funding for Planned Parenthood was skyrocketing. These are Planned Parenthood’s own reported numbers. But apparently Richards is counting on the idea that women will believe whatever lies she tells them.

During her speech, Richards touted the right to abortion. “You know what,” Richards said, “If the Government won’t change – we will change the Government,” Richards added, as if this were her first attempt to use her taxpayer-funded organization’s power in politics. In fact, Richards vocally and enthusiastically supported Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 run for President and some believe it failed due to Richard’s support.

“Women are the most powerful political force in this country,” Richards said, knowing that the vast majority of women support abortion restrictions, unlike Planned Parenthood. Richards then obliviously claimed that she was joining the group of women to transform the nation into a place where “everyone has the freedom and opportunity to live their best life.”

Tragically, not all women are free to life their best life, and that’s thanks to Richards and her friends in the abortion industry. They target millions of preborn females for wholesale slaughter in the womb. In addition, there are numerous women scarred from the effects of abortion, including some who have died after their so-called “safe and legal” abortions at Planned Parenthood.

These are a few of the forgotten women Richards left out.
