NEA ignores ideology of Planned Parenthood while pretending to care about children

Today, Life Dynamics has published a report on how dozens of pro-lifers are picketing the NEA Teacher’s Union Convention to expose their support of abortion.

I am republishing a portion of their report, but, I want to camp on the part where the NEA seems concerned about minority pregnancies.

According to Bob Pawson, director of Pro-Life Educators of America, who heads up the annual campaign, pro-Life teachers, parents, and students from the greater Orlando area hope to educate the 10,000 delegates about the NEA’s stand on abortion as they arrive for the National Education Association’s annual convention in Orlando.

Abortion kills teachers careers

This demonstration is somewhat unique,” said Pawson.

“Usually, NEA itself does the picketing— presenting demands in front of schools or school board buildings in towns across America. This time, NEA itself is being picketed— by children, taxpaying parents, and educators (including NEA members)— at the union’s own convention. Ironically, NEA touts itself to be the “champion” of all three constituencies.”

Pawson is calling on the National Teacher’s Association to repeal the pro-abortion policies such as Resolution I-17 (“Family Planning”).

That resolution, which uses the euphemism “reproductive freedom” another term for abortion rights, reads:

The National Education Association supports family planning, including the right to reproductive freedom. The Association urges the government to give high priority to making available all methods of family planning to women and men unable to take advantage of private facilities. The Association also urges the implementation of community-operated, school-based family planning clinics that will provide intensive counseling by trained personnel. (1985, 1986

NEA resolutions also include comprehensive sex-education including teachings on “birth control” ,”family planning”, “sexual orientation” and “gender identification.”

NEA Sex Education

In addition, the teacher’s association seems very concerned about the high rate of pregnancy among the Hispanic and Black communities, something Life Dynamics addressed in their documentary film on eugenics, Maafa21:

NEW Pregnancy Hispanic eugenics

NEA Black Pregnancy eugenics

The rest of Life Dynamics’ report can be found here.

Now for my rant….

I want to ask why, a teacher’s association is “concerned” about the “disproportionate” rate of pregnancy among minority students?

Perhaps that explains why schools have allowed Planned Parenthood, whose founder was an avowed racist, to teach “sex education” in most schools.

If the concern were strictly the student’s education, that might be one thing, but, then why would schools use a group whose sole purpose was to exterminate the races they deemed unfit to teach those same students?

Not surprisingly, Obama’s Teen Pregnancy Initiative has given millions to the abortion giant. (more on that here)

And the Healthy Teen Network which also promotes Planned Parenthood is being funded by the CDC. ( read here)

Interesting how the NEA and many of these other organizations fighting teen pregnancy promote the largest chain of abortions, Planned Parenthood.

NEA Genocide

In a separate place in their “resolutions” the NEA states their views on Genocide;

The National Education Association deplores any act of genocide, which is the deliberate and systematic eradication of members of any group based on culture, ethnicity, national origin, political affiliation, race, religion, and sexual orientation/gender identification. Acts of genocide must be acknowledged and taught in order to provide insight into how such inhumanity develops, prevent its occurrence, and preclude its recurrence. (1993, 2005)

If Genocide is the deliberate and systematic eradication of members of any group based on culture and abortion is the systematic killing of unborn children- future students- which, affects the Black and Hispanic communities the greatest, why does the NEA support it?

Something is not matching up here.

In addition, the NEA’s list of resolutions state their opposition to child abuse:

The National Education Association believes that all children should be protected from the psychological and physical aspects of child abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

NEA CHild Abuse

Saying that they want to, “Encourage the development of programs that stress the identification of, reporting procedures for,
legal responsibilities for,and techniques for dealing with abused, neglected, and exploited children.”

So, tell me, if that is really their goal, why do they bring in Planned Parenthood which has been documented by Life Dynamics to knowingly cover for sexual child rapists and pedophiles?

See that documentation here.

The NEA then claims to want to protect children from “sexual content” writing:

The National Education Association believes that children are an especially vulnerable and easily exploited audience who must be protected from exposure to violence, prejudice, sexual content, and stereotyping by mass media, the Internet, and products that are accessible to children.

This is admirable, but, why then do they invite Planned Parenthood which has a record of exposing children to all sorts of graphic sexual content?

One example of that is here.

As you can see there appears to be a deliberate agenda going on here. One that ignores all the harm and ideology of Planned Parenthood while pretending to care about children.

( note: some teacher’s unions have been in bed with Planned Parenthood since the 1940’s.)

It is time to speak out and get involved and take over the NEA and change them into an organization which values all children, all races, and eliminates sexual abuse by refusing to partner with ANYONE who hides the rape of children.

Pro-life group pickets National Education Association’s support of abortion

Pro-lifers will be gathering to protest the National Education Association’s (NEA) support of abortion this week in Colorado.

The 3.1 million-member National Education Association (NEA) is the largest labor union in the United States. It represents public school teachers and support personnel; faculty and staffers in colleges and universities; retired educators; and college students preparing to become teachers.

The NEA’s mission is allegedly “to advocate for education professionals and to unite our members and the nation to fulfill the promise of public education to prepare every student to succeed in a diverse and interdependent world.”

The group, headed by Bob Pawson who founded Pro-life Educators of America, will be at the NEA Teacher Convention in Denver, CO., as 10,000 NEA delegates from 50 states arrive.

“The NEA union leadership has policies & practices supporting abortion..As taxpayers/parents and children/students, you have legitimate voices in chastising the NEA leadership for involving the union in the abortion issue at all! Abortion is one of a vast number of social, moral, & political issues which NEA’s ‘leaders’ have adopted policies and engaged in activism which have nothing to so with representing teachers in collective bargaining. Their gathering in Denver is YOUR opportunity to take them to task and deliver a message of reprimand to that ‘leadership’ cadre,” Pawson writes.

A resolution from 2013-2014 shows a support for “reproductive freedom” code for abortion on demand:

2013 to 2014 NEA Resolution

I-17. Family Planning
The National Education Association supports family planning, including the right to reproductive freedom.
The Association urges the government to give high priority to making available all methods of family planning to women and men unable to take advantage of private facilities.
The Association also urges the implementation of community-operated, school-based family planning clinics that will provide intensive counseling by trained personnel. )

Others read:

B-52. Sex Education
The National Education Association believes that the developing child’s sexuality is continually and inevitably influenced by daily contacts, including experiences in the school environment. The Association recognizes that sensitive sex education can be a positive force in promoting physical, mental, emotional, and social health and that the public school must assume an increasingly important role in providing the instruction. Teachers and health professionals must be qualified to teach in this area and must be legally protected from censorship and lawsuits.
The Association urges that formal sex education should include parent/guardian orientation and be planned and implemented with careful attention to developmental needs, appropriateness to community settings and values, and respect for individual differences.
The Association also believes that to facilitate the realization of human potential, it is the right of every individual to live in an environment of freely available information and knowledge about sexuality and encourages affiliates and members to support appropriately established sex education programs. Such programs should include information on—
a. Sexual abstinence, birth control, family planning, prenatal care, parenting skills, the effects of substance abuse during pregnancy, and the issues associated with pre-teen and teenage pregnancy
b. Diversity of culture and diversity of sexual orientation and gender identification
c. Sexually transmitted diseases, incest, sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and homophobia.

Another resolution reads:

C-25. Comprehensive School Health, Social, and Psychological Programs and Services
The National Education Association believes that every child should have direct and confidential access to comprehensive health, social, and psychological programs and services. Such programs and services must be interactive and coordinated within and between school, home, and community settings. School and community efforts must also be integrated to promote the well-being of children and youth and to build support for school and community health programs.
e. Comprehensive school-based, community-funded student health care clinics that provide basic physical and mental health, and health care services that include access to social services (which may include diagnosis and treatment) to supplement school nurses
f. If deemed appropriate by local choice, family-planning counseling and access to birth control methods with instruction in their use.

NEA Protest 2014

“How wicked & stupid for the leaders of a teacher union to support the killing of future students. Ironically, charging teachers DUE for supposedly “protecting” their job security,” Pawson points out on his events page.

Education Establishment is Not a Friend of the Family
July 29, 2010 at 9:43 am

This post was written by United Families International – located here

Summertime means the annual National Education Association Convention. The National Education Association (NEA) is the largest professional organization and labor union in the U.S. and its influence on education reaches around the world. Their power and influence extends from the walls of the school room to legislative halls as they promote and finance various candidates and initiatives and work to assure their ideology is entrenched in culture. But what many people may not know, including teachers and parents, is that the NEA is not a friend of the family.

In addition to such groups as the “Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender” Caucus and the silly “No Cocktail Left Behind” Caucus, this year saw the recognition of the “NEA Drag Queen” Caucus. In fairness to the NEA, they also recognize such groups as the Ex-gay Educators, People of Faith, and Catholic and Jewish Caucuses, but the nonsensically-tolerant and politically-correct NEA has an agenda that ought to concern all people who want their schools teaching education basics and not promoting anti-family propaganda to our children.

United Families International has written about the NEA in the past but we thought we’d provide you with an update and a few examples of NEA activity.

Abortion

This year’s convention in New Orleans once again saw the defeat of an abortion neutrality resolution. However, each year since 1990 this resolution has been reaffirmed:

“The NEA supports family planning, including the right to reproductive freedom…. The NEA will oppose any legislation which will erode the status of Roe v. Wade…”
The NEA has over 3.2 million members in the U.S. and hardly any of them know that the union that they pay annual dues to is one of the most ardent abortion supporters in the country and that their dues may be helping finance pro-abortion efforts around the world.

Homosexual Advocacy
The NEA is squarely in the back pocket of gay advocates. The Wall Street Journal reported (2006) that the NEA gave $65 million to liberal groups such as the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), the Human Rights Campaign, and People for the American Way. They oppose the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and in 2009, a resolution was passed to oppose any efforts to put in place amendments banning same-sex unions or marriage:
“NEA will support its affiliates in opposing state constitutional and/or statutory provisions that could have the effect of prohibiting the state and its political subdivisions from providing the same rights and benefits to same-sex couples as are provided to similarly situated heterosexual couples…”

Millions of NEA dollars have been spent on such creating and promoting publications such as:
• “Understanding Gay and Lesbian Students through Diversity”
• “Just the Facts” (A 24-page booklet created by the NEA and the American Psychological Association. In 2008, the booklet was sent to 16,000 school districts and it tells students that homosexuality is a “normal expression of human sexuality.”)
• “Focus on Gays, Lesbian, Bisexuals and Transgendered Persons”
• “A Report on GLBT People in Education: Stepping out of the Closet, Into the Light”

The bulk of these informational pieces are part of a well-orchestrated attempt to provide a platform on which to mainstream homosexual behavior in the schools. One goal is to mandate anti-bullying” and “anti-discrimination” policies that will provide special protection to homosexual-related categories such as “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” and “gender expression.” UFI believes that schools should provide protection against harassment and bullying to every child, for any reason, equally. To see a list studies and talking points that give rebuttal to the NEA’s “Just the Facts” booklet go here.

Parental Rights

The NEA, in spite of their rhetoric, is not a friend to parents. It appears that the NEA, not parents, “know best.” The NEA is in league with groups such as Planned Parenthood and SEICUS to promote what they call “Comprehensive Sex Education” in the schools. The NEA recommends that parents not be allowed to “opt out” their children when comprehensive sex education and “diversity” curriculum is being taught. They oppose laws that require parental notification for abortion or contraception distribution. NEA supports the abolishment of “heterosexism” (the belief that heterosexual behavior is superior to homosexual behavior) in the schools and that curriculum that promotes “anti-discrimination and equality for all members of the GLBTQ community” should supersede any wishes that parents might have regarding the teaching of their children.

Conclusion
Our school districts are populated with amazing and hardworking teachers. Please know that we are not castigating educators individually, but the union to which many are required to belong and pay dues. The NEA is powerful and wields great influence over schools, the legislative and public policy environment, and the culture at large. Teachers need to consider how their dues are being spent and work to change the leadership of their union. Please be aware and get involved.

Parents, please be actively involved in your schools. If you hold conservative and traditional family values, social or economic, be assured that the NEA doesn’t share them and they are aggressively engaged in promulgating their values at the expense of your children. Don’t under estimate the power that you have as a parent and constituent of a school district and don’t feel like you’re alone–most parents share your values and concerns. Get involved and make the next school year a family-friendly one!
