Gov exposes deficient care at Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Missouri

Planned Parenthood in St Louis, Missouri may lose it’s license to commit abortions following numerous reports of emergency responses summoned to the abortion clinic and claims of health deficiencies by state authorities. If the license is rejected, Missouri could become the first state without a single abortion facility, a concern PP’s president called, “Not a Drill.” But, president Leana Wen is known for her over-the-top and often deceptive language surrounding abortion, prompting the Washington Post to grant her four Pinocchios for using fabricated stats on illegal abortion deaths.  For those interested in the truth on this topic, Live Action News has broken down this data in more detail previously, including also debunking Planned Parenthood’s false claims multiple times.

Planned Parenthood St Louis abortion facility

Instead of the media joining with Missouri Gov. Mike Parson in calling for PP’s dangerous St Louis abortion facility to remain closed until serious problems are corrected, they are instead lauding Planned Parenthood as almost invincible and incapable of placing women at risk. Of course, the media are the same ones that routinely censor reports of women being killed by abortion, and specifically those who die after abortion care at Planned Parenthood facilities.

A report published by Live Action News sheds light into the reason the media should be exposing PP, not protecting them:

“The real public health crisis is what’s been going on unchecked at this abortion facility for years, and which Wen conveniently doesn’t mention. This particular Planned Parenthood facility has had more than 72 ambulance calls since 2009. Not only are they killing preborn babies at this Planned Parenthood, but they’re also maiming women. In addition, multiple health violations have been racked up over the years at this one facility.”

Governor Mike Parson also gave detailed reasons for why Planned Parenthood’s license was not being renewed (watch here).

According to Missouri Gov. Mike Parson:

March 27, 2019: Statement of deficiencies issued by Missouri Health Department for violating the law and providing safe care for women….Health officials identified a series of deficiencies…which needed to be addressed prior to their license renewal deadline of May 30th.

April 3, 2019: State health department started investigation into PP St Louis relating to series of incidents raised concerns about:

  • Quality of care
  • Patient Safety
  • Statutory and Regulatory compliance

April 11, 2019: State Health Department requested (in writing) to conduct interviews with seven physicians performing abortions at Planned Parenthood St. Louis

April 16, 2019: A PP attorney responded saying PP was not obligated to make physicians available for interviews with state health department officials.

April 22, 2019: A PP attorney informed state health department regulators that physicians would now be represented by their own counsel and Department should attempt to schedule interviews with their individual attorneys.

May 16, 2019: PP submitted license renewal applications, final day to be accepted by DHSS a deadline PP was aware of. State Heath Department notified 5 or the 7 physicians declined to cooperate with the interviews.

May 28, 2019:  Two PP Physicians agreed to cooperate with interviews.

“Planned Parenthood has been actively and knowingly violating state law on numerous occasions…In addition, there is concern for the standard of care due to the fact that the significant medical evidence showing at least three failed surgical abortions…records provided by PP indicate that these failed abortions also include the patients returning to PP after realizing they were still pregnant. In another case, a patient’s safety was jeopardized and rushed to an ambulance from PP where an emergency surgery was needed…” Missouri Gov. Mike Parson stated.

The Governor said that the following concerns needed to be addressed prior to any license renewal:

  • Planned Parenthood’s apparent disregard for the law
  • Failure to complete complication records
  • Accuracy of medical records.

“No judge should give special treatment to PP in this instance…If you break the law- there are serious consequences. If you don’t provide a standard of care that ensures the safety of women you shouldn’t be allowed to operate, its that simple…” Gov. Parson said.

2016:

2013:

According to the pro-life watchdog organization, Operation Rescue:

[T]he number of medical emergencies requiring ambulance transport have increased dramatically.

Most recently, three women were transported by ambulance to hospital emergency rooms in a 22-day timespan ending on May 15, 2019.  Other recent medical emergencies occurred at RHS Planned Parenthood on April 24 and April 26, 2019.  In all, 74 medical emergencies have been documented at this Planned Parenthood in the past ten years.

The most common abortion complication suffered by women transported by ambulance from RHS Planned Parenthood is hemorrhaging, a life-threating, yet avoidable, condition.

The RHS Planned Parenthood has experienced other major issued in the past year or so:

  • Inability to conduct chemical abortions due to failure to meet new safety regulations.
  • CEO Mary Kogut resigned last October and has not been replaced.  Postings several other positions also remain unfilled.
  • Failure to expand abortions into Springfield and Joplin as planned, due to inability to meet licensing requirements.
  • Up to a 20-day wait to obtain surgical abortions, as confirmed by Operation Rescue, perhaps because the current medical director is moonlighting at an abortion clinic in Illinois.
  • Failed inspection report in 2017 with multiple safety violations, and where the Medical Director questioned whether hand-washing between glove changes was a new standard.

Below is the press release from the state regarding Planned Parenthood’s abortion facility in St. Louis.

Planned Parenthood files unprecedented lawsuit against Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services with licensure renewal process still ongoing

Planned Parenthood refuses to fully cooperate with investigation into concerns about patient safety

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Planned Parenthood has filed suit against the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) while its application for renewal is still under review.

DHSS received Reproductive Health Services of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region’s application for renewal on Thursday, May 16, 2019, which was the last day that it would be accepted by DHSS. The St. Louis, Missouri, facility’s license, which is renewed annually, is set to expire on May 31, 2019. Last year, the organization submitted its renewal application on April 27, 2018, with a May 31 renewal date.

Planned Parenthood’s statutorily required inspection occurred March 11-13, 2019, and an investigation has been ongoing since. Planned Parenthood was notified in early April that due to ongoing concerns about potential deficient practices, interviews would need to be done with the physicians providing that care. These concerns are not limited to, but include: 1) violations of Missouri law; 2) violations of applicable Missouri regulations; 3) standard care for patient safety as evidenced by, but not limited to, at least one incident in which patient safety was gravely compromised; 4) failed surgical abortions in which patients remained pregnant; 5) concerns about quality control and communication with a contracted pathology lab; and 6) failure to obtain informed consent.

The continued refusal of several physicians to cooperate in interviews regarding DHSS’s ongoing complaint investigation obstructs the State’s ability to verify that this facility is in compliance with all requirements of applicable statutes and regulations, which Missouri law requires DHSS to do before renewing a license.

Only on May 22 did Planned Parenthood change their previous position and agree to comply with Missouri regulations which require pelvic exams at the screening prior to abortions so that information learned from the pelvic exams could increase the safety of the procedure.

On May 28, only after filing their lawsuit did Planned Parenthood again change another previous position to comply with Missouri law that the same physician who does the preoperative counseling will also perform the abortion.

As of May 29, Planned Parenthood has still not agreed to full compliance.

“DHSS will continue to act in good faith to do our statutorily required duty to regulate facilities to help keep people safe and assure compliance with the law,” said Dr. Randall Williams, director of DHSS. “The unprecedented refusal by Planned Parenthood to fully cooperate as they have in the past heightens our regulators’ concerns about what their investigation has revealed to date.”

Is Planned Parenthood struggling with an identity crisis?

Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood appears to be struggling with an identity crisis of sorts, uncertain whether to remain an abortion vendor or become a health care agency. It took 50 years for Planned Parenthood to again name a doctor as president, and just as with Planned Parenthood’s previous appointment, Alan F. Guttmacher, a specific agenda appears to be behind the decision to appoint as president Dr. Leana Wen. The taxpayer-funded corporation is suffering from a serious image problem due to its numerous scandals, abuses and fraud, including covering up for child sexual predators, and it appears Wen has been assigned the task of creating a new image of an organization whose focus is health care, not abortion.

But Wen is sending confusing messages to media outlets who willingly push the abortion giant’s talking points. The most vivid example comes from Buzzfeed in a recent article with the title, “Planned Parenthood’s New President Wants To Focus On Nonabortion Health Care.” Wen wasn’t pleased.

The article title received pushback from pro-abortion supporters, causing Wen to course correct and admit that actually, Planned Parenthood’s “core mission” is abortion. In a series of tweets, Wen also called on supporters to”double down and fight.”

First, our core mission is providing, protecting and expanding access to abortion and reproductive health care…. Planned Parenthood continues to be a powerful political force across the country.

In the Buzzfeed piece, Wen announced a “listening tour of 20 Planned Parenthood affiliates” to learn how best to “add or expand nonabortion services.” This may be why Buzzfeed jumped to a wrong conclusion — one many Americans have been manipulated into falsely believing as well. Among the “nonabortion services” Wen wants to offer are…

  • Treatment for opioid addiction
  • Treatment for diabetes management
  • Mental health counseling

“Wen’s idea to turn more Planned Parenthood affiliates into one-stop shops where you can come in for birth control, STI tests, or an abortion, and meet clinic workers prepared to diagnose and treat a range of other problems unrelated to reproduction, from diet to depression to addiction,” Buzzfeed’s Ema O’Connor writes.

Diet? Depression? Addiction?

Image: Buzzfeed headline Jan 2019

Buzzfeed headline Jan 2019

Wen’s plans, according to Buzzfeed, “could involve in-house mental health counselors, which a few clinics already have, and will likely include increased training for Planned Parenthood staff on how to provide “trauma-informed care.” (But surely nothing about post-abortion trauma….)

READ: So much for 3%: Planned Parenthood prez says abortion ‘our core mission’

Planned Parenthood’s attempt to reinvent itself as a “health care” provider instead of an abortion vendor has been tried before. It failed. That “reinvention plan” was introduced by former president Pamela J. Maraldo, who was a nurse in the 1990’s. According to a Planned Parenthood staffer, the plan was “economy-driven.” Maraldo was eventually pushed out of Planned Parenthood after board members determined that her plan hardly mentioned abortion — and Wen has no intentions of making the same mistake.

Wen’s proposals come at a time when Planned Parenthood’s existing health services such as pap tests, cancer screening, and contraceptive services as well as patients and facilities are plummeting… while abortions,  CEO salaries, and excess revenue (profit) climbs. Also increasing are the tax dollars the abortion corporation receives in its political money laundering scheme (demonstrated in the video below) in which the corporation uses its influence to elect pro-abortion politicians, mostly Democrats, who then turn around and make certain that Planned Parenthood continues to receive half a billion dollars annually.

The sudden resignation of “political organizer and chief” Cecile Richards and other high ranking leaders in the organization might be causing ripples. Buzzfeed notes, “[S]trategists and advocates on both sides of the aisle see her presidency as a pointed and purposeful departure from Richards, and one that sends a clear message…. Democratic strategists are concerned that Wen’s shift to focusing on health care over politics is a sign Planned Parenthood is backing away from the fight.”

Democratic campaign consultant Hank Sheinkopf called it “fatigue”:

It’s a symbol of fatigue, the battle has been a tough one and they’re tired. If you publicly project that you’re no longer an advocate but a provider of medical services, the presumption is the bad guys will no longer beat you up because you’re no longer poking a stick in their eyes all the time.

Politicians are not the only ones showing concern. Live Action News recently documented how vocal and very dissatisfied staffers readily exposed internal accusations of intimidation, low wages, discrimination, and a toxic working environment at Planned Parenthood. Perhaps this is why Wen suggested to Buzzfeed that she “wants to be able to practice at Planned Parenthood clinics” and may “perform blood tests and screenings for Planned Parenthood patients herself.”

Wen, who once advocated transparency among physicians, scrubbed her “Who’s My Doctor?” website shortly after being appointed head of the abortion corporation. But, not to fear, because everyone (except Planned Parenthood staffers and former employees) know how “trustworthy” Planned Parenthood is, right?

READ: Medical pregnancy centers fight lie that Planned Parenthood is about women’s health

Wen is treading water, forced to put forward a public image of Planned Parenthood as a health care agency, all while internally the organization seems to be attempting an image makeover — all while the true agenda of Planned Parenthood continues to be abortion.

While on one hand, Planned Parenthood of the Heartland just erected a billboard that read, “I had an abortion and I’m not apologizing,” on the other hand, the mother ship seems to be attempting to refresh its image as a legitimate, diverse health care provider. And yet, Planned Parenthood’s 2019 plan clearly lays out a focused agenda to “expand abortion.”

Planned Parenthood, which ends the lives of nearly 900 preborn babies in the womb every day with abortion, is never going to be viewed as a health care agency. As Wen morphs from prestigious physician into the corporation’s “propagandist-in-chief,” she may want to heed a well-known passage of scripture, which reads, “A double minded man [or organization, for that matter] is unstable in all his ways.”

Oops: Planned Parenthood prez gets fact checked!

‘People against Planned Parenthood are against healthcare’ and other lies debunked

abortion, Planned Parenthood, fact check

Though Planned Parenthood has selected emergency room physician Dr. Leana Wen to replace its previous political organizer president in hopes of improving its damaged image as an abortion corporation, it is still spouting the same false, well-rehearsed claims. Wen insists that abortion — the deliberate ending of a human life in the womb — is synonymous with standard medical care.

Wen’s claim was published in a press release from Planned Parenthood: “As a doctor, I know that services like cancer screenings, well-woman exams, and the full range of reproductive health care — including birth control and abortion — are standard medical care.” But there are several problems with this, and with Wen’s other claims, both in Planned Parenthood’s press release and a recent interview she gave to NPR’s 1A.

Here are six false claims made by new Planned Parenthood president Leana Wen — along with the facts:

False Claim #1: Planned Parenthood was founded by a “humanitarian” nurse who just wanted to help people with their health care.

Wen told NPR, “We were founded by a nurse who saw what happens when people don’t have access to basic health care….”

The facts: Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, was deeply entrenched in eugenics and brought this same evil ideology — and those who believed in it — into her organization. Sanger’s goal was to make certain that specific groups of people did not procreate, not to make sure they had “health care.” Live Action News has repeatedly documented Sanger’s belief in promoting forced sterilization, her aversion to the poor (including immigrants), her Ku Klux Klan interactions, and more.

Wen is either woefully ignorant of this history or is deliberately misleading people about it.

False Claim #2: “Planned Parenthood has never and never will sell fetal body parts. It is completely untrue – those lies have been discredited many times over.”

The facts: Wen is very good at parroting her Planned Parenthood predecessor’s talking points, but when the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released its disturbing (and forensically authenticated — so, the opposite of “discredited”) undercover videos showing high ranking Planned Parenthood staffers haggling over the price of fetal body parts and talking about using “less crunchy” methods for abortions to better preserve the aborted body parts that buyers want, then-CEO Cecile Richards, apologized for the “tone” of the Planned Parenthood staffer seen in the first CMP video. who discussed how to successfully harvest fetal livers while munching salad and sipping wine. Richards was later summoned before a Congressional panel to answer for the baby parts scandal, and this panel referred the organization for criminal charges.

False Claim #3: “The people that attack Planned Parenthood — they’re attacking basic health care.”

Wen elaborated in her NPR interview, claiming:

What we do is provide cancer screening. What we do is provide the full range of reproductive health care, from birth control to abortion. All of this is medical care. And, it is – to me, it’s so frustrating to see one aspect of healthcare singled out, stigmatized and attacked…. When people attack the work of Planned Parenthood, when they try to make healthcare political, they’re preventing people from getting the healthcare they deserve, when healthcare should be a basic, fundamental human right.

The facts: Planned Parenthood provides 2% of the nation’s breast exams (zero mammograms) and 1% of the nation’s Pap tests for cervical cancer — while also committing 35% of the nation’s total abortions… around 320,000 every year. Planned Parenthood frequently highlights cancer screenings as a primary service, but the number of abortions they commit is nearly equal to the number of breast exams they perform. Planned Parenthood actually did more abortions than Pap tests, according to 2016 numbers.

And abortion isn’t “medical care” or “health care.” It’s killing, and that is why it carries a stigma:

False Claim #4: “It’s my job as the physician to provide medically accurate, scientifically accurate information to my patients….”

The facts: Yes, as a physician, that’s Wen’s job. However, as head of Planned Parenthood, it isn’t.

Multiple Planned Parenthood workers have made unscientific statements to patients, and even former CEO Cecile Richards’ publicly claimed that her children’s lives began at birth. Other Planned Parenthood staffers have claimed “life begins” at whatever arbitrary point someone chooses. Planned Parenthood regularly substitutes correct terms for fetus or baby with “the pregnancy” — and instead of showing scientifically proven information on fetal development to women (whom they claim they “trust”), Planned Parenthood shows a dot in abortion videos rather than accurate images of preborn children:

False Claim #5: Looking at Planned Parenthood’s abortion services as a percentage “isn’t helpful.”

The facts: Having to explain the deceptive way one’s organization arrived at a claim that a mere 3% of its services are abortion — when that organization aborts 320,000 children annually — is probably not “helpful” when one has a façade to protect. This claim has been debunked not only by Live Action but by the (not exactly pro-life) Washington Post. Yet Planned Parenthood and supporters still claim abortion is only three percent of what it does. When NPR 1A’s host, Joshua Johnson, asked about this debunked claim multiple times, in multiple ways, Wen avoided answering. Instead, she said:

… I don’t think its helpful for supporters to frame the work that we do as a number…. If we give a number, in a way it actually further stigmatizes abortion care. Because, what does that mean if quote unquote only 3% of services are abortion? Does it mean we’re shying away from abortion? That’s not true…

Committing around 320,000 abortions annually is not “shying away from abortion,” but abortion doesn’t do wonders for public relations, which is why Wen emphasizes other services. While profitable abortions are on a steady decline nationally, the corporation’s abortion market share has increased to an estimated 35%, climbing nearly 11% from 2006 to 2016. During this time, the abortion corporation’s legitimate health services decreased.

And guess who Wen blamed for their diminishing services?

False Claim #6: “It’s pretty hard… when we are attacked in every branch of government all the time, and clinics around the country have been forced to close.”

Wen blames Planned Parenthood’s critics for its facility closures — but the truth is, the organization is losing patients — a decrease of 23 percent in recent years. That’s not the fault of critics. After all, taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood has skyrocketed from $336 million in 2006 to $543 million in 2016. I wouldn’t exactly call that being “attacked.”

Abortion is not health care, and Wen is no different from the long list of previous Planned Parenthood figureheads put forth to parrot deceptive talking points. She may be a doctor, but she’s an extremely political one. And no matter what letters Planned Parenthood’s president has next to her name, as long as it continues to kill human beings through abortion, it will never truly be a legitimate health care organization.

No difference between Planned Parenthood’s “political organizer” Prez and new Prez Dr. Leana Wen

Planned Parenthood masquerades as a health care organization, and as its abortion market share steadily increased (due in part to half a billion dollars they receive from taxpayers annually), Planned Parenthood’s profits skyrocketed. In 2018, Planned Parenthood set out to protect those gains by vowing to spend millions to elect pro-abortion lawmakers and hire a new director to push for activist judges on the court.

Despite spending those millions of dollars on electing pro-abortion politicians, Planned Parenthood Federation of America is attempting to once again reinvent itself and brand itself as a health care provider.

It’s new president, Dr. Leana Wen is a medical doctor, who believes abortion, the taking of a human life in the womb is “healthcare.”

However her talking points are the same as its previous “political organizer” president, Cecile Richards. Watch this video from American Life League to see for yourself:

Media enables Planned Parenthood prez to ignore organization’s eugenics past

Planned Parenthood prez says nation’s #1 abortion provider ‘promotes life’

Planned Parenthood, abortion corporation

In November 2018, the New York Times (NYT) interviewed recently appointed Planned Parenthood president Dr. Leana Wen, who replaced political organizer Cecile Richards — the woman who presided over declining patient services and an aborted baby parts scandal. In her interview, Wen dodged topics such as eugenics — a largely racist philosophy — and self-managed abortions, all while claiming she has never done anything in her medical career but save lives. If this is the case, and Dr. Wen values human lives and desires to save lives, she’s working for the wrong organization.

Image: Leana Wen Planned Parenthood President

QUESTION #1: Eugenics

The NYT asked Wen, “How do you consider the misinformation — such as, say, that Planned Parenthood furthers eugenics — that can proliferate about the organization?” The paper’s use of the term “misinformation” is intellectually dishonest and a denial of history, which granted Wen the ability to pretend the organization’s known eugenics roots were just part of some vast, pro-life conspiracy.

Wen’s only mention of eugenics was to claim, “The same individuals who are making these eugenics claims are often the ones who want to deprive our communities of evidence-based education like teen-pregnancy prevention programs….”

Now that Dr. Wen is president, does the NYT intend for the public to believe it is “misinformation” that Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, had strong eugenics connections, Klan interactions, rants about immigrants, and promoted the idea of forced sterilization? Are we to diminish the horrific effects all those victimized by eugenics as we scrub Planned Parenthood’s well-documented history of it from the public sphere?

Image: New York Times asks Leana Wen about eugenics and Planned Parenthood (Image NYT Dr. Leana Wen Dislikes the Politicization of Health Care 11/6/2018)

New York Times asks Leana Wen about eugenics and Planned Parenthood (Image NYT Dr. Leana Wen Dislikes the Politicization of Health Care 11/6/2018)

Apparently, this liberal press outlet would prefer to rewrite history.

The philosophy of eugenics negatively affected many Black Americans, such as Elaine Riddick, who was forcibly sterilized in North Carolina in 1968. Her tearful testimony encouraged lawmakers to vote for reparations for those like her, who were eugenically sterilized. One of the prominent supporters of that horrific eugenics program was Clarence Gamble, a director of Margaret Sanger’s American Birth Control League, which later changed its name to Planned Parenthood.

But today’s abortion-friendly media appears to have become far more activist than investigative, and the New York Times refused to dig any deeper into Wen’s claims.

Live Action News has documented the following:

  • Planned Parenthood had direct ties to eugenics.
  • The organization was founded by Margaret Sanger, an enthusiastic member of the American Eugenics Society who metwith members of the Klan, writing in her autobiography: “I accepted an invitation to talk to the women’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan…. I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses….”
  • Planned Parenthood brought on officials who were leading eugenics proponents.
  • Planned Parenthood received free rent from the Eugenics Society, according to the Eugenics Review.
  • Eugenic boards were sometimes operated by Planned Parenthood associates and some boards referred to the organization (watch Maafa21 clip below):

Year after year, Planned Parenthood has presented its most prestigious Margaret Sanger Award, named after its eugenicist founder, to journalists, to politicians like Democrat Nancy Pelosi, and to members of the media. (Perhaps for its softball Wen interview, the NYT will receive one as well.)

Image: Margaret Sanger Award given out by Planned Parenthood (Screen Planned Parenthood website Nov 13, 2018)

Margaret Sanger Award given out by Planned Parenthood (Screen Planned Parenthood website Nov 13, 2018)

If Dr. Leana Wen truly wants to continue in her pattern of saving human lives, then why is she working for an organization established by people who promoted the idea of forced sterilizations for those arbitrarily deemed “less than”?

QUESTION #2: Self Abortion

The NYT asked Wen, “…[H]ow do you feel about self-induced abortions?” Despite claiming she treated a woman who died from an illegal “home abortion,” Wen passed up the opportunity to denounce the push for self-managed abortions.

Image: New York Times asks Planned Parenthood prez about self-managed abortion

New York Times asks Planned Parenthood prez about self-managed abortion

Wouldn’t more unsupervised, at-home abortions have the potential to lead to even more emergency room visits like the one she describes in her interview? But instead of defending lives like a medical doctor concerned about women’s safety, Wen answered like a pro-abortion activist: “What I have a problem with is when they — or the government — impose their will on women’s bodies and health.”

Image: Leana Wen , Planned Parenthood president on The View

Leana Wen , Planned Parenthood president on The View

Wen pivoted further by redirecting the topic to an attack on pro-lifers — who, by the way,  regularly document transports of women from Planned Parenthood facilities to emergency rooms by ambulance, after so-called “safe” abortions.

“It’s insulting when people describe their anti-choice stance as “pro-life…” said the new leader of the organization killing 320,000 human beings every year.

While the NYT erroneously titled this sad excuse of an interview, “Dr. Leana Wen Dislikes the Politicization of Health Care,” it is beyond clear that Wen is in lockstep with Planned Parenthood, the inventor of abortion politicization, which has enabled the organization to rake in half a billion annually taxpayer dollars that may very well help to pay Wen’s salary.

After all, it was Planned Parenthood, not those pesky “anti-choice” pro-lifers, who recently unveiled a new plan to expand abortion on demand in 2019. How’s that for politicization?

But perhaps Dr. Wen missed that memo.

Image: Planned Parenthood plan to expand abortion 2019

Planned Parenthood plan to expand abortion 2019

As delusional as it sounds, Dr. Wen and the media present abortion as “healthcare” and claim that Wen’s job as the abortion provider’s president is to “promote life and the well-being of women and families and communities” because, she claims, “I’m a physician. I went to medical school. Everything I’ve ever done is to save lives.”

Not all physicians save lives, Dr. Wen — including the ones working for Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry as a whole. They’re physicians who went to medical school, too — and some of them fully admit that they’re taking lives for a living.

Dr. Wen would have the public believe that abortion, the deliberate taking of human life in the womb at any stage of pregnancy, for any reason imaginable, committed 900 times per day by her organization, is “promot[ing] life.”

Real reason Planned Parenthood chose a doctor as President with no prior PP experience

It took 50 years, but Planned Parenthood has finally named another physician as its president. And oddly, the website she created to promote transparency within the medical profession has been scrubbed. As usual, the media, elated with “all things Planned Parenthood,” has failed to ask the obvious question regarding both of these events: why?

  • Why was the website scrubbed?
  • Why did Planned Parenthood, which, masquerades as a healthcare organization, reverse course from having a political organizer at the helm, who once claimed her goal was to make the organization, “the largest kick butt political organization”?
  • Why did Planned Parenthood pass up numerous doctors already on staff within the organization for the job?

Perhaps it’s because, after being embroiled in numerous scandals, abuses and fraud, including covering up for child sexual predators, Planned Parenthood, which receives half a billion dollars from taxpayers annually, has a serious image problem. Planned Parenthood is very effective at public relations — and it uses every possible distraction it can to get the public to stop looking at its multiple scandals and divert attention to other things. In this case, that distraction is its new president, Dr. Leana Wen.

READ: Four reasons why Planned Parenthood abortionists aren’t ‘brave doctors’

Before accepting her position at the scandal-laden Planned Parenthood, Wen created the “Who’s My Doctor?” website, where she proposed complete transparency among physicians. Now that she has been tapped to head the largest abortion corporation in the country, her website, along with a physician’s manifesto, have been scrubbed.

Image: Leana Wen , Planned Parenthood president on The View

Thanks to Way Back Machine, we can still read Wen’s vision:

Studies show that as many as 94% of doctors report an affiliation with and receive money from drug companies and medical device companies…. Many doctors’ salaries also depend on number of procedures done…. patients have a right to know what may be influencing their doctors’ recommendation about their health.

But Fox News has found holes in Wen’s personal transparency, reporting:

[O]n her own profile…Wen said she believes “in practicing what we preach” and listed $0 payments or gifts from any pharmaceutical or medical device companies.

But according to Dollars For Docs database, Wen received over $600 for “travel and lodging” from E. R. Squibb & Sons, L.L.C., a subsidiary of pharmaceutical giant Bristol-Myers Squibb Company that directly matches gifts to Planned Parenthood and is a corporate supporter of the Center for Reproductive Rights, a pro-abortion group.

Transparency among Planned Parenthood’s “doctors” would be a revealing resource for women before they decide to put their lives in these abortionists’ hands… but it’s doubtful Planned Parenthood would be so transparent about their employees, who have harmed and even killed women. Here are a handful of them:

Dr. Mandy Gittler

This Planned Parenthood abortionist was sued by the family of Tonya Reaves, a 24-year-old Black woman who was left to bleed out inside an Illinois facility after her abortion there. She died later at a hospital.

Dr. Laura Castleman

Castleman was allegedly involved in the tragic death of Cree-Erwin Shepherd,  a 24-year-old mother from Battle Creek, Michigan, who died after her Kalamazoo Planned Parenthood abortion.

Cree’s heartbroken brother shared his grief with Live Action in the video below:

Dr. Deborah Nucatola

Nucatola, Planned Parenthood’s director of medical services, was caught on tape by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) cavalierly eating and sipping wine while describing how she would “crush below” or “crush above” the  preborn children she aborted to monetize their body parts:

Dr. Mary Gatter

Also caught in the baby body parts scandal, this Planned Parenthood’s national Medical Directors’ Council President’srevealing statement, “I want a Lamborghini,” caused the American public to react with shock:

Dr. Timothy Fouch Liveright

Liveright worked for several Planned Parenthood facilities until he was outed by Planned Parenthood whistleblowers for his questionable care of patients and treatment of staff, who compared the abortionist to Kermit Gosnell, and accused him of sexually harassing employees and patients.

Timothy F Liveright

“I have noted Dr. Liveright inappropriately look up and down patients as well as staff members in a sexual kind of way. He actually stands back with a grin and slowly directs his eyes up and down a patient’s body,” Planned Parenthood RN Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich stated.

Jayne resigned from Planned Parenthood after her letters of complaint to management were ignored. The nurse also said she observed Liveright “acting condescending to African American patients by implying they were ignorant,” among other charges.

Liveright was accused of “unprofessional, disrespectful, and inappropriate” conduct, including “yelling, screaming, and cursing” in front of employees and patients and “sexual harassment of female employees.”

Dr. Larry Roy Glazerman

According to Operation Rescue, after beginning an abortion on a patient, this Planned Parenthood doc sent her to the ER to have the hospital complete the procedure.

Others

A number of Planned Parenthood “doctors” are behind what appear to be botched surgeries at its facilities across the nation. As an emergency room physician, Wen is likely to know about botched surgical abortions… yet the only thing we’ve heard from her at present is her claim to have seen a patient die from a “home abortion” that was not done at an abortion facility.

The 911 calls from abortion facilities are numerous. Here are just a few examples:

911 Call #1
911 Call #2
911 Call #3

Perhaps Wen’s website and manifesto were scrubbed because of her new employer’s breed of “doctors” running its facilities. After all, promoting full transparency as the head of America’s most profitable abortion business has to be counterproductive.
