One of the victims of Wednesday’s mass killing at a San Bernardino social services center was a staunch pro-life advocate. Juda Myers, founder of Choices4Life said after she said she was contacted by a reporter from the Associated Press regarding the victim.

“I was sleeping…this morning…when I got a call from Associated Press asking about “Michael Thalasinos,” Myers recounted, “She said his brother Nicholas was killed in the shooting.”

What she didn’t know is that Michael and Nicholas were the same person ,” Myers told her radio listeners today.

According to his Facebook timeline, the victim Nicholas Thalasinos was identified as being in the building where the shooting took place early yesterday afternoon.

He was then reported as “missing” by his friends who posted that they could not reach him, after calling his cell phone several times.

His friends quickly began asking for prayer:

By Thursday morning a post from Nicholas’s wife confirmed that he was indeed a victim of the attack:

My husband Nicholas Thalasinos was killed in the shooting in San Bernardino yesterday,” she wrote.

Myers called Nicholas a “prayer warrior for Choices4Life,” adding that he was almost a board member but later changed his mind about praying about it further.

“HE was an awesome man of God
,” she said.

In 2013, Nicholas, under his assumed name “Michael” announced his “job” as a Choices4Life Prayer Warrior online:

Nicholas Thalasinos was outspoken about Islam and allegedly spoke against the religion online. The media has accused him of ranting against Islam. His friends defend him saying he was just expressing his personal views. Shortly before the shooting, friends say he received some threatening messages:

“Blessed be the memory of Nicholas Thalasinos! He loved Yisrael and Jewish people. Muslim extremists had been sending him threatening Facebook messages. He posted one of these messages at 12:30 AM on December 2, 2015, approximately, eleven hours before the San Bernardino shooting started! Now we have lost him forever. Nick was very courageous and spoke the truth. It is my honest belief that Nicholas was murdered because of his alliance with Israel and Jewish people,” one of his friends posted on Facebook Thursday morning.

The threat was posted by Nicholas this a day prior to his murder:

As of the time this story is being published, the motive behind the December 2, 2015 shootings killing 14 innocent people during a Christmas Party at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California has not been officially stated. However, many suspect it was an act of terrorism.

Ironically, a Facebook post from Nicholas three years ago this month read as follows:

Globe footage captures shoot out in Canadian Parliament building

Posted in ISIS, Islam, terrorism with tags , , , , , , on October 22, 2014 by saynsumthn

Footage from the Toronto Globe and Mail show a hail of bullets being fired inside the Canadian parliament building

According to the BBC, a series of shootings have taken place in and around Canada’s parliament, leaving one soldier wounded.

It is unclear how many gunmen there are but one shooter is believed dead.

An assailant fired at the National War Memorial and then ran into parliament nearby, continuing the attack. More shots were fired at a shopping mall.

The incident came hours after Canada raised its terror threat level following a fatal hit-and-run attack on two soldiers on Monday.

The latest incident began when soldiers guarding the memorial came under fire on Wednesday morning.

“Shots fired at War Memorial at 9:52am today; one person injured,” Ottawa Police tweeted.

ISLAMIC RADICALIZED SUSPECT

A man shot to death after running down and killing a Canadian soldier with his car was “radicalized” and classified as a “potential important threat” to the country, Canadian authorities said Tuesday at a press conference.

Police arrested Martin Rouleau Couture, who reportedly converted to Islam about a year ago, last July and confiscated his passport, but lacked enough evidence to keep him in custody, said Martine Fontaine of the RCMP.

“When he was arrested, he was about to go to Turkey,” Fontaine said. “We stopped him as he was about to leave Canada for terrorist actions. He was questioned when he was arrested. We have not been able to determine any real threat at this time.”

On Monday, a man driving a car hit two members of the Canadian Armed Forces who were walking in a strip mall parking lot in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, said David Falls, spokesman for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.. Read more !

ISIS Sympathizer

CBC news reports that as Public Safety Minister Steve Blaney asserted at a morning news conference, Couture-Rouleau, who waited in a parking lot for at least two hours before driving his car into two Canadian soldiers, was “clearly linked to terrorist ideology.”

The RCMP revealed that officials had been monitoring Couture-Rouleau closely, concerned that “he had become radicalized.” On Tuesday, RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson confirmed that Couture-Rouleau’s passport had been seized and that he was one of the 90 suspected extremists who the RCMP believed intended to join militants fighting abroad.

CBC News spoke with Faisal, a Facebook friend of Couture-Rouleau’s in Saudi Arabia, who described Couture-Rouleau as a “really kind person.”

He said he befriended Couture-Rouleau on Facebook and began messaging him in June.

“I was actually looking over some posts on Facebook … and I saw all these people, they were for some reason dissing Islam, making fun of us, so I saw him actually replying in a really calm, modest, humble way,” Faisal told CBC News.

But Faisal added that this was before he found out Couture-Rouleau was a supporter of ISIS.

Faisal, who spoke on the condition CBC News not publish his last name, said he changed the topic of conversation in the few instances Couture-Rouleau mentioned ISIS to him.

ISIS Massacre Survivor Speaks Out

Posted in ISIS, Islam with tags , , on September 12, 2014 by saynsumthn

Ali Hussein Kadhim, 23, a Shiite-background Iraqi soldier, was captured with about 1,700 other soldiers by ISIS fighters on June 12th and taken to the grounds of one of Saddam Hussein’s former palaces near Tikrit, according to a story in the New York Times.

The New York Times verified his dramatic story using witness accounts, a Human Rights Watch report and videos of the massacre.

When Ali and the other recruits heard ISIS was nearby, they panicked. “Our morale was very low,” he concedes. The American-trained army officers fled as they had in Mosul, Ali reports. “The recruits tried to flee, but it was too late.”

He said the group objects to the use of tax funds going to nations that sponsor the persecution of Christians.

In addition to the rally, Pastor Broden also speaks out on the plight of the unborn targeted by abortion. Pastor Broden has been warning the black community about the targeting of African Americans by abortion giant Planned Parenthood and was featured in the film, Maafa21, which exposes the racist agenda of abortion.

Things Americans Can Do to Help Persecuted Christians in Iraq

Posted in Islam, persecution with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on September 5, 2014 by saynsumthn

Iraqi born pastor Jalil Dawood of the Arabic Church of Dallas, who, along with other Christian leaders will be holding a rally on Sept. 14 in support of Iraqis who are being persecuted by the Islamic State, says there are five things Americans can do today to help their brothers and sisters in Christ.

PastorJalilDawood-MP4-H-0-1194-43

What Americans can do today is write to their representatives and tell them the U.S. government needs to take more aggressive action toward the Islamic State, because this group is not only a threat to Iraq, it’s a threat to America, eventually. And we need to deal with them now, before it’s too late,” Dawood told The Christian Post.

I heard the president say last week that he doesn’t have a strategy. Well, ISIS’ strategy is to kill us. Their strategy is to convert us and kill us,” he asserted.

The second thing Americans can do, he said, is to provide tangible assistance to the 250,000 refugees in Iraq through trusted nonprofit organizations that are helping Christians and other religious minorities who’ve been forced to leave their homes to flee the terrorist organization.

Broden

Pastor Stephen Broden of Fair Park Bible Fellowship, who will be a featured speaker at the Dallas rally, told CP Thursday that three of the nonprofits that have been helping Iraqi Christians are Open Doors, Samaritan’s Purse and Voice of the Martyrs.

While the Sept. 14 rally is being held in Dallas, Dawood is encouraging everyone who lives outside North Texas to hold simultaneous rallies in their communities; not only to show support for persecuted Christians and religious minorities in Iraq, but to pray and find tangible ways to help.

Do something practical, not only in words but in deeds,” he advised. “We need to speak; we need to shout to the Lord, we need to shout to the nation.”

This has to do with people of our faith. This is not an Iraqi issue, this is a global issue and it will touch us if we don’t do something about it,” Dawood emphasized.

“Like Bonhoeffer said, if we are silent in the face of evil we are agreeing with it, we are part of it; we become accomplices and are allowing it to happen. We don’t need to wait. We need to take action now and be heard before it gets too late.”

Rally in Dallas for Persecuted Christians

Posted in ISIS, Islam, persecution with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on September 5, 2014 by saynsumthn

The Islamic group, ISIS or ISIL has slaughtered Christians and other religious minorities in the region. ISIS has taken captive women and children and sold them as sex slaves. As a result, many Christians have been forced to flee the area.

Now, Christians in America are calling for an end to this genocide.

In fact, Dallas area Pastors, churches, and concerned citizens in North Texas are coming together to show support for these Christian brothers and sisters under extreme persecution in Iraq.

Believers and concerned citizens are joining to bring attention to the genocide faced by Iraqi Christians.

The rally will take place at:

September 14, 2014 at 4:30pm

WHAT TO WEAR AT THE RALLY:

WEAreN

The Islamic State in Iraq is painting an Arabic “N”–for Nazarene–on the homes of Christians.

In a show of solidarity, Christians all across the world are adapting that letter, using it as a social media avatar or a logo.

Attendees are encouraged to print off the #WeAreN (red and white) image off the Facebook page and either wear it or carry it. In addition, those attending the rally can carry a red cross.

A press conference will be held days prior to this rally and will include dignitaries and local pastors.

The Press Release reads, in part:

The deliberate targeting and persecution of Christians by ISIS in Iraq, as well as the blatant attacks on Christian communities throughout the Middle East has caused great concern and offense within the Christian communities of Dallas, Fort Worth and surrounding counties. In Iraq, many Christians are fleeing their homes and cities to escape the brutal jihad against Christians at the hands of ISIS. Many are now refugees in need of humanitarian aid. As confirmed by the Center for the Study of Global Christianity and the Vatican, 100,000 Christians are murdered every year because of their faith. Open Doors Ministry has stated that 9 out of 10 countries cited for the worst atrocities against Christians are Muslim.

Iraqi born Pastor Jalil Dawood of the Arabic Church of Dallas and Pastor Stephen Broden of the Fair Park Bible Fellowship will be featured speakers at the rally.

In addition, other notable speakers and pastors will be present.
