Remembering abortion victims retrieved from trash dumpster

The number of abortions committed since it was legalized in 1973 is so astronomical that many people cannot begin to wrap their minds around it? As abortion tragically weaves its murderous roots deep into American society, it is easy to become calloused. That was apparent at another point in history when Rev. Gilbert Haven looked back on slavery and wrote, “We are so familiar with the word Slavery, that its real scope and character do not smite the eye with true horror.” These words ring true today in a society which tolerates the evil of abortion.

Those of us who have been in the pro-life battle for many years can sometimes get so overwhelmed at the numbers of abortions that we need to be reminded that every abortion takes the life of one, very precious baby. That reality was never more true to me, than the day I personally found aborted babies. Strange as it is, there are only a handful of pro-life people who have experienced this first hand. Interestingly, it was my interest in the Nazi Holocaust which motivated me to search for these precious children. As I would watch documentaries of the Holocaust, I remember asking myself, “Who took that picture?” As I contemplated the horror of that time in history, I knew that had those images never been released, the world would never have known the true evil that took place.

And, with that in mind, I prayed to the Lord that if aborted babies were being thrown in the trash, that He would lead me to where they were so I could have the honor to offer the babies the dignity of my tears along with a humane burial. So, a friend and I began to do what we called back then “Dumpster Diving” to see if we could find any babies that were being thrown away and we did. The process of uncovering these children was daunting. We pulled their broken bodies from the trash over a period of weeks and meticulously removed each identifiable human part from the mass of bloody gauze that held their tiny body inside each container.

ABorted babies in container

I will never forget the very first gauze sac I opened and what I saw. There inside the gauze sac was a fully formed arm. I wasn’t shocked because I knew what abortion did. I think I felt overwhelmed almost in denial that what I was documenting was part of the largest genocide in American history. I knew, that one day, people would look back on this and ask why we allowed this to take place on our shore.

Aborted baby arm 2

As you can imagine, we continued to uncover pieces of babies, victims of early, suction abortion. Those precious lives which began in the safety of their mother’s womb were brutally killed and then laid to rest inside a trash dumpster. The callousness of that kind of brutality haunted me for a long long time. I remember thinking to myself, “I wonder if each mom knows that their baby was thrown in the garbage by this abortion clinic.”

IMG_2931

But, aborted victims from early abortions were not all we found. In the bottom of the bag were pieces of a baby we estimated to be in the second trimester. That child’s foot was one of only a few parts thrown away by the clinic in that garbage bag. We never found the rest of that child.

Aborted baby foot 2

It takes love to do what we do to rescue these kids and I admire each person who dedicates themselves to see them protected. It is easy to let the years discourage us to give up – and every time I feel that way, I take out these pictures of what I call, “my babies” and I recommit myself to never quit. Each and every little person we defend is a unique individual, not a statistic or an “issue” and we can never forget that God knows each one by name.

To encourage myself in this battle for life, I often look to others who faced injustice in their time and glean strength from their sacrifice. One such story of bravery took place in 1942 when Hans Scholl, a medical student at the University of Munich, along with his sister Sophie, and other brave young people founded the “White Rose” movement. This movement was one of the few German groups that spoke out against Nazi genocidal policies.

Sophie and her brother along with others in the “White Rose” movement committed themselves to speaking out about the evil of their day, writing this to their fellow students, “We will not be silent. We are your bad conscience. The White Rose will not leave you in peace!”

In an amazing amount of wisdom for such a young woman, Sophie described those she felt did the most damage in their response in their failure to stand against the Nazi Holocaust:

The real damage is done by those millions who want to ‘survive.’ The honest men who just want to be left in peace. Those who don’t want their little lives disturbed by anything bigger than themselves. Those with no sides and no causes. Those who won’t take measure of their own strength, for fear of antagonizing their own weakness. Those who don’t like to make waves—or enemies. Those for whom freedom, honour, truth, and principles are only literature.”

Does this sound like the average American where abortion is concerned? For their courage, Sophie and Hans Scholl and another member of their White Rose group, Christoph Probst, were executed on Feb. 22, 1943.

On the day we held a funeral for the aborted babies we retrieved from the trash dumpster, we encouraged every man, woman, and child to come forward and to lay a rose on top of the tiny baby casket which held their broken remains. It did not take long before my eyes filled with tears. In what I would describe as one of the most emotional events I have ever been part of, I began to weep uncontrollably like I have never cried before. It was at this time, that I felt the full impact of what I had witnessed and as long as we keep showing the truth of abortion, others will feel it as well.

Gratitude for Amazing Wonder of Life this Thanksgiving

Posted in Carole OpEd, OP-Ed with tags , , , , , on November 29, 2015 by saynsumthn

At this time of year we often reflect on our blessings and we summarize all that the Divine Creator has done for us. But, as we try to recall all the ways we have been blessed, we should pause in gratitude for life itself. Often, we take for granted the beauty of life and the very complicated design that fashions our very core. The intimate and detailed way we were formed in the womb with the loving and tender hands of our Creator shows that the very essence of life is a gift beyond measure.

The human body is full of secrets we have yet to discover. The intricate details of every cell, organ and bone point to an ordered and intelligent designer who intended every human for a rich and complete purpose on this earth. The uniqueness of each individual forces us to step back in awe at the very suggestion that this could have taken place by chance, which of course, it did not. Each human person has been fashioned with expert precision in the womb to emerge and testify of amazing discoveries within the human body.

The human eye alone is so fascinating that when Armenian physics teacher Suren Manvelyan photographed the “window to the soul” he described them as the ‘surfaces of unknown planets.’

Medical Daily reports that our eyes can actually distinguish between 2.3 to 7.5 million colors. They say that when we put our hands together, we capture roughly the size of our heart as it beats 100,000/day, pumping 5.5 liters with each pulse, which is close to 3 million liters of blood every year. If a person were to live to 75, it would fill 90 Olympic size swimming pools, medical daily reported.

More amazing facts here.

Amazingly, just one drop of human blood contains about 10,000 white blood cells and 250,000 platelets and about 10,000 human cells can fit on the head of a pin. In addition, the human liver has an amazing ability to grow back if part of it is removed due to injury, disease, or surgery. It will even grow to be just the right size for the body it’s in. According to Discovery, every seven years a healthy human body completely replaces every single bone cell which keeps our bones incredibly strong and uniquely adaptable. Pound for pound the Human bone is stronger than concrete. It has the strength to weight ratio found in no other known material on earth. It’s secret lies inside: it is a matrix of hollow cells, Discovery says. And surprisingly, half of our bone mass is soft and flexible not hard as would be expected.

The human lung sucks in 70 quarts of air each minute we exercise says, National Geographic. The lungs pull in oxygen from the air and deliver breadth to 1500 miles of airways. The human brain is describe by National Geographic as the most complex object on earth, containing up to 100 billion neurons and nerve cells.

The reproductive system creates new life, each human begins as two single cells, an egg cell from the mother and a sperm cell from the father. The fertilized egg carries the preborn baby’s genetic code. The genes are arranged in chains like a string of pearls called DNA.Every time a cell splits during the fetus’s development, it creates an identical copy of itself in each cell. Each cell carries the genetic code that holds all of the fetus’s traits. (SOURCE)

There are many additional facts like these and they all point to how fascinating the human body is. This is reason to be thankful. In a day when legalized abortion threatens the continuation of this miracle, we reflect with gratitude on life’s wonder. As we assemble with our families this Thanksgiving, as we watch parades and enjoy a meal full of bounty we can celebrate life by reflecting on the incredible design of every human person. We can show our gratitude by not taking life for granted and by protecting every life as the priceless gift of wonder that it truly is.

Pro-lifers must take truth of Planned Parenthood to the public

Posted in Carole OpEd, Center for Medical Progress, Planned Parenthood Maggie Awards with tags , , , , , , , , , , on November 8, 2015 by saynsumthn

If you are like me and have been watching the horrific undercover videos on Planned Parenthood you are asking yourself, how much more does the public need to know to oppose this monstrosity? Sadly, the answer to that question depends on who you are. To the pro-life crowd you don’t need one more piece of evidence to shut Planned Parenthood down permanently and prosecute them for crimes against humanity. But to the die hard abortion advocates it would appear that little will persuade them against this evil. However, if you are an average American relying on the news media for truth, you may not even know yet that there ever was an undercover sting.

PP Bodies R US

As someone who has researched Planned Parenthood from it’s conception, one thing they have relied upon is the ignorance of the public. And, as a result, there are few storms this deceitful organization has not weathered well. In their early days, founder Margaret Sanger along with many of her board members openly advocated eugenics. Some ague that eugenics was simply the “culture in that day” but I contend that Sanger knew full well what she was pushing and who it targeted. And, the absolute horror of Sanger’s agenda has become even more apparent as research continues to unfold just how evil eugenics was. Victims of eugenics number in the thousands as so-called “feebleminded,” mostly Blacks, were targeted for forced sterilization under that program.

Research on the topic has revealed that eugenics was the exact same philosophy that led Hitler’s Nazi regime in Germany into it’s dark days of the Holocaust, horrifying the American public. At this time, Sanger and her board, who had organized under the name “American Birth Control League” began to discern that open promotion of eugenics may not be in the best interest of their overall agenda. This led to a change in the organization’s name from the American Birth Control League to Planned Parenthood,a much less sinister sounding name.

But, if eugenics did not scare the American public away, neither would the organization’s decision to start doing abortions. Sanger’s followers in her Planned Parenthood movement understood that forced sterilization eugenics programs were beginning to be opposed in the courts. Their agenda of limiting the births of the so-called “unfit” was threatened unless of course they embraced abortion. For those asking “didn’t Planned Parenthood always do abortions” the answer is no. It is a little known fact that Margaret Sanger herself did not advocate for abortion, in fact, she called abortion the killing of a “baby after it has begun.” But, when Sanger’s more permanent eugenic sterilization solutions towards a “race of thoroughbreds” was opposed the organization turned to abortion, and ironically, in a cunning PR move, they chose a Black chairman to introduce it. But, that is another story for another day which you can read in more detail here.

margaret-sanger-and-autobiography

The majority of the American public has little knowledge of Planned Parenthood’s beginning days, especially how their founder, Margaret Sanger was embraced by the Klan even referring to the Klan as a “good group.” In her autobiography, the Planned Parenthood founder detailed her encounters with the Klan, writing, “I accepted an invitation to talk to the women’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan…I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses…I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak…In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered.”

Imagine the American public or the media tolerating any other organization whose founder passed on her ideas to the Klan even “honoring” politicians and so-called notables with an award named after said Klan speaker? Yet, this is what Planned Parenthood does year after year after year and the media is not only silent but many of it’s members have been the recipient of the award. If the media had one ounce of honesty they would grill Planned Parenthood on why they call the former Klan speaker a “hero” while handing out Margaret Sanger awards like candy.

Planned Parenthood margaret sanger hero

And, if that was not bad enough, left wing, abortion loving politicians also give Planned Parenthood cover. Top of that list would be 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton who said she “admired Margaret Sanger” during her acceptance of the award. Despite all the covering up of Planned Parenthood’s agenda and activities, the truth is leaking out through groups like the Center for Medical Progress. In addition, the excellent work of groups like Live Action and Life Dynamics who have exposed Planned Parenthood’s racist agenda, is starting to have an impact as well.

Over the years, Planned Parenthood may have successfully woven their tentacles into the American culture, but their days of deceit are coming to an end. This tax dollar guzzling abortion business may receive approval from politicians and the American media but the American people are waking up to what Planned Parenthood is all about. So, while pro-lifers may be growing weary of watching tape after tape after tape of these horrific Center for Medical Progress videos – we cannot allow the truth to go unnoticed. If the media refuses to call Planned Parenthood to task, we must take the truth to the American people ourselves and do it over and over and over again until it sinks in and crumbles this giant for good.

Responding to the claim that pro-life is just “pro-birth”

Posted in Carole OpEd, OP-Ed, Pro-life is Pro-Birth with tags , , , , , , , , on September 24, 2015 by saynsumthn

I read with great interest an opinion piece by Ashley M Gorman who wrote quite convincingly about the need for pro-life Christians to care about the born as well as the unborn.

Ashley Gorman Planned Parenthood

The piece, entitled, “What would really happen if we defunded Planned Parenthood and ended abortion” seemed to be separating those who picket, protest, and riot ( why she used that term I have no idea) with those who are committed to helping women in crisis and the children they deliver. Gorman makes some compelling arguments about the role of Christians who are called to care about those in need and I would generally agree with those points. But where she loses me is when she claims most pro-lifers are “pro-birthers”, writing:

Christians want the baby to be born, sure. They care about the birth of the baby. But do they really care about the actual life of the baby or mother?

It seems most pro-lifers are really just pro-birthers. They simply want the baby to be born, but when it comes to involvement in the quality of life for the baby or the mom, the majority of Christians don’t really care in an obvious or measureable way.

You see, as a long time pro-life activist, I have heard this very false accusation many times, mostly by the opposition.

Gorman claims because of her Christian beliefs she is opposed to abortion and Planned Parenthood and I have no reason to doubt her sincerity. But her accusation is without merit.

As I regularly tell the pro-choice community there is simply no possible way to document the claim that pro-life people are not helping the born. How could Gorman pretend to know the majority of pro-life Christians in the nation? How could she know how they spend their time, money, and who they minister to, help and lay their lives down for?

But, even if it was true that pro-life people only care about the baby being born – why would that be wrong? In a world where many Christians I speak with tell me that fighting abortion is my ministry but not theirs, is there not room for the reverse to be true? Why is it that pro-life people, with all the abuse they face on a regular basis, with the lack of help to minister outside abortion clinics and where every abortion clinic is not yet manned by a Christian, why must the needs of the world or as Gorman puts it “the born” rest squarely on the shoulders of pro-lifers?

Why doesn’t Gorman ask, where the Christians are generally to meet all these other needs?

However, if it satisfies Gorman ‘s curiosity, as a “pro-life Christian” I have personally helped many born people. A few of the ways I have done so, include taking women into my home, paying for an operation for a young teen with a financial need, feeding the homeless, the elderly, and the poor, visiting the sick, the downcast, the disabled, and the mentally impaired and personally giving away thousands of my own hard earned dollars to help the so-called born in this world.

And, if her curiosity is not yet satisfied, I know hundreds of pro-lifers who have done the same time and time again. It is an amazing thing that happens when people get out of their homes and onto the streets – God will bring people to you to minister to. Such is the case with every pro-life activist who speaks against abortion and offers help to women on the public sidewalk week after week after week.

Gorman continued:

If we really want Planned Parenthood defunded or abortion to end, then we better get really familiar with our age-old buddy Isaac Newton. Every action has a reaction, remember? Both abortion and birth have consequences.

If the action is abortion, the reaction or consequence is the loss of 1,050,000 human lives per year in the U.S. (This is the total amount of abortions in the U.S. annually. Planned Parenthood’s contribution is 327,000 abortions last year.)

If the action is birth instead of abortion, the reaction or consequence is the gain of 1,050,000 human lives per year.

If you are holding up a pro-life sign, then you’d better be ready for 1.05 million new babies in our country on a yearly basis, and you’d better have a better plan than just “have the baby and see you later.”

Really? Only those who hold up “a pro-life sign” need a plan? Not the pastors, the church leaders who often ignore the blood running in our streets from the children as they are crushed and dismembered in the womb? Just the over-worked, often tired, and maxed out pro-life needs to “be ready?” What nonsense !

Ashley Gorman PP

This lecturing from Gorman is patronizing and uncalled for. Of course, pro-life people know that if the baby is not aborted the child will be born. Come on, we’ve been in the trenches doing this for 40 plus years – where has she been?

But, to assume that the exact same number of babies will be born that are aborted is just ignorant to many facets of this very complicated issue. However, it is reasonable to assume the number will be substantial. What is not reasonable is to also assume that every woman who gets pregnant and is unable to access abortion needs help. Stats show that many married women and those of normal financial means seek abortion.

According to Planned Parenthood’s research arm, the Guttmacher Institute, the rate of unintended pregnancy among poor women (those with incomes at or below the federal poverty level) in 2008 was 137 per 1,000 women aged 15–44. But that rate drops exponentially for the same demographic having an abortion: 52 per 1,000. Interestingly, that same report dated July of 2015, claimed there was an increase of women with unintended pregnancies – this with all the contraception, chemical and surgical abortions available.

However, according to the abortion group’s latest stats, 40% of unintended pregnancies (excluding miscarriages) ended in abortion and 60% ended in birth. A reduction from 2001, when 47% ended in abortion and 53% ended in a birth.

What the numbers also showed is that women with higher incomes have abortions far greater than those with lower incomes:

“Compared with higher-income women, poor and low-income women are less likely to end an unintended pregnancy by abortion. Consequently, poor women have a relatively high unintended birth rate,” Guttmacher states.

To her credit, Gorman points out the need for Christians to adopt children now and in the future.

“This will mean a lot more mouths to feed and mothers to mentor, and a lot less time for excuses on how busy we are
,” Gorman writes and I agree.

Gorman then rightly challenges both herself and the Christian, writing:

This personally challenges me when I look around at my life, at my house even. We have an extra bedroom. It was originally intended for guests to have their own separate room and bathroom. But guess what? If the end of abortion ever comes, then I’d better be ready to have that room permanently filled with a mom in crisis or an adopted child. Sorry guests, you may have to—gasp!—travel a few extra feet to the bathroom next time or maybe even—how insane!—stay in a hotel for the weekend.

See, this abortion thing is more than just opening up a sign at a protest. It’s opening up your home, your whole life.

But, I would disagree with Gorman for giving herself permission to wait for abortion to end before taking action, while criticizing “pro-life Christians” for being “pro-birth.” Gorman must lead by example – she must act on her own convictions first as Jesus tells us in Matthew 7 (NIV), “How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

There are many points which Gorman makes which I would not disagree and you can read her words and judge for yourself here.

But, I am growing weary of the pro-life movement and specifically, those who tirelessly work to rescue children from the grip of death, being a scapegoat for the lack of participation in the church generally.

Look, pro-life people to their credit, are some of the most giving and selfless people I know. We are more than willing to do our share and despite what our critics claim, we have shown this to be the case by our very lives. To us, abortion ends every time a mother chooses life – for those babies, abortion is over.

It is true, that we need to care about the born in society. But, just because that is a true statement does not make the accusation that pro-life people who speak on behalf of the unborn don’t care about the born. For goodness sake, we can walk and chew gum at the same time. What we recognize is the need to promote a general culture of life where we care about the weakest member of society, and the elderly, the poor, and others in need. This will never happen as long as we advocate for abortion or ignore the cause of the unborn.

To Gorman and others like her, I say I agree with most of their words but I disagree with what I feel is the spirit behind the words. The spirit that points fingers at some of the hardest working and most devoted and giving people I know. I lovingly suggest that she lead by example and that the next opinion piece she writes on this subject detail her personal efforts to help the needy now and not just once abortion ends.

History repeats itself in “Backing Planned Parenthood”

Oxford Scholarship Online describes a chapter in Robert Gellately’s book, Backing Hitler entitled, Concentration Camps in Public Spaces, this way:

Backing Hitler9780198205609

This chapter discusses how concentration camps became firmly established in the public mind. As the war dragged on, the camp world invaded everyday life as never before, and confronted citizens with the cruellest sides of the dictatorship. Camp prisoners and slave workers appeared in public spaces all over Germany, from factories to city streets, and became impossible to overlook. By and large, Germans regarded the prisoners in their telltale camp garb and often in wooden shoes in terms they had come to accept from pre-war propaganda. Although there are stories from survivors of the help and comfort they received, the overwhelming impression is that Germans were at best indifferent and fearful, and at worst they shared the guards’ scorn, hostility, and hatred.

This, my friends describes modern day America.

Abortion death chambers have so invaded every aspect of American society that we drive by their butcher mills with barely a wince of horror.

Planned Parenthood brags to having hundreds of centers across the United States and openly reports performing hundreds of thousands of abortions annually and yet, our government rewards them with half a billion dollars in federal tax monies each year.

Writing in The Guardian, John Ezard’s review of Backing Hitler reads this way in part:

They knew concentration camps were full of Jewish people who were stigmatized as sub-human and race-defilers. They knew that these, like other groups and minorities, were being killed out of hand.

They knew that Adolf Hitler had repeatedly forecast the extermination of every Jew on German soil. They knew these details because they had read about them. They knew because the camps and the measures which led up to them had been prominently and proudly reported step by step in thousands of officially-inspired German media articles and posters…

They knew…

They – the German people knew and today America knows.

They know.

Ezard’s review of the book continues, “Professor Gellately says, destroy the claim – generally made by Germans after Berlin fell in 1945 and accepted by most historians – that they did not know about camp atrocities. He concludes by indicating that the only thing many Germans may not have known about was the use of industrial-scale gas chambers because, unusually, no media reports were allowed of this “final solution”. However, by the end of the war camps were all over the country and many Germans worked in them.”

Anyone else see a parallel here?

Alter process intact fetal cadavers Planned Parenthood

Tonight is the eve of video #5 exposing Planned Parenthood’s baby parts harvesting scheme.

We’ve just past the “can it get any worse” threshold and then- it did!

Not because Planned Parenthood was behaving any less the killers they are, but, because, as horrific as these videos are, people are still denying they are doing anything wrong.

Yesterday 46 US Senators voted that Planned Parenthood should continue to be funded – WHAT?

Yeah, my sentiments exactly.

Worse yet, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and many other “notables” remain committed to their support of the abortion behemoth.

Writer David Neese summarizes the prevailing attitude among those who deny the evil of abortion and Planned Parenthood, writing, “ That baby-like object in the sonogram must at all costs never be acknowledged as a baby. Nor even as an unborn baby. Planned Parenthood partisans must dig in and hold the line: That human-looking fetus isn’t really human. It’s “uterine contents.” Nothing more.

“Planned Parenthood asks: “Who you gonna believe? Us or your own eyes?”

If the subject were not so serious, I would describe Neese as almost poetic when he added:

Those who insist on believing their own eyes can’t be disproved. So they must be discredited. They’re religious fanatics. Extremists. They’re misogynistic male militants from the old patriarchy waging a last-ditch war on women.

Euphemisms are essential to the Planned Parenthood abortion enterprise.

They’re the lubricant that keeps the gear works from locking up. Thus the grisly extirpation of a fetus is merely a “procedure.” Planned Parenthood doctors may talk during a business lunch of avoiding “crunchy” extraction maneuvers to maximize a useable research specimen for a buyer. But there’ll be no such descriptive chitchat with the prospective abortion customers.

    planned-parenthood-video-crush-b

No point in making the customer wince. Avoid any mention of crushing a fetus’ head. Instead, say: “intrauterine cranial decompression.” In fact, avoid any mention of familiar body parts. Such reference may anthropomorphize the fetus. Don’t want that. Stick to clinical terms. Don’t say “head.” Say: “calvarium.”

And then there is the public.

Many are shocked at the callous conversations Planned Parenthood is having haggling over selling human baby organs while enjoying a meal or relaxing inside a conference room.

Savita Ginde Planned Parenthood brain

They are stunned that babies referred to as “intact fetal cadavers” are being kept frozen inside Planned Parenthood freezers until path lab ghouls can rummage their bodies to strain out every ounce of possible profit from the innocent child.

But, as I asked in a previous Op-Ed, exactly what did America think abortion was?

Didn’t they know?

Yes, they, like the Germans, knew.

The public knew this is abortion – they had to.

For over 42 years, we have told them, showed them, stood on street corners to cry out to them. Did they hear us?

Dachua

Ralph Rudquist was a radio man with company LL of the 22nd Infantry in 1945 when he helped to liberate the German camp Dachau.

We were taken a back,” he told The Evening Independent in 1981.

The people who came in after us didn’t have as much experience, and they were bawling and crying.

Rudquist continued, “When we entered Dachau the crematories were still operating. I saw piles of bodies as high as this ceiling. So they kept the crematories going. They kept this going day and night. The bodies that they were cremating were just skin and bones.”

Adding, “It was certainly true. Some people say there was no Holocaust. They were wrong,” he said.

That is what we see today from the American public.

Rudquist Nazi Holocaust

Those of us on the front lines know – we see it daily. The precious unborn babies are embedded into our very hearts.

But, now, the American public is filing past their dead bodies.

Seeing the arms, legs, skulls, laid out in petri dishes inside the American death camps of Planned Parenthood.

Private Francis Arzt of the 59th Evacuation Hospital who also arrived in Dachau, took pictures of the Nazi victims, “They can’t say this was a made-up Hollywood production,” he said.

Ironically, that is exactly what some Planned Parenthood supporters are calling Center for Medical Progress videos today, accusing them of being “highly edited” despite full versions being posted for all to watch.

Yeah – where have we heard that before?

Holocaust survivor, Helen Lukensberg survived a Nazi camp in Poland,”People say there was no Holocaust,” she told the paper.

“It isn’t true. Where is all my family? Where is everybody?” she asked.

Rudquist recalls when he first saw Hitler’s concentration camp victims, “Suddenly we all understood what we had been fighting for,” he said.

I think the (CMP) videos we have watched, especially the last few, which brought us up front deep into Planned Parenthood’s dissection rooms, have done that for all of us.

Yes, suddenly we all understand what we are fighting for!

My thoughts after first vids:
When it comes to Planned Parenthood’s ghoulish crimes, are we all guilty?

My thoughts after video #4:

“Feeling overwhelmed” those words were written on my Facebook status today.

Today was the 4th time the Center for Medical Progress released a horrifying under cover video exposing Planned Parenthood’s gruesome baby parts operation.

I watched the 11 minute video and on some level it was not a surprise.

On another level I was angered by the repeated way Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains’ Vice President and Medical Director, Dr. Savita Ginde described the babies before they are even dead as “specimens.”

Davita Ginde Planned Parenthood brain

I do not want to camp on the Mengele-like experiments that Planned Parenthood is doing in this post, plenty of others are doing that.

I want to focus on the baby – the human person- the infant whose body parts are more valuable to Planned Parenthood and their partner Stem Express than the whole intact, live child.

Aborted baby foot

As I have mentioned before, I have found and buried aborted babies. This video again struck my memory over that experience. I’ve been told that in some way, I was dealing with PTSD, similar to the way a first responder or a soldier might experience it when they see something so traumatic that the human mind wants to shut it out. I actually wrote a blog post on that very thing entitled: Pro-lifers: the forgotten first responders, which you can read here.

Holocaust SUrvivor

In 1945 Dallas Peyton, who was a member of the 70th Armored Infantry which helped liberate Jews inside the Nazi Dachau camp encountered survivors and evidence of atrocities had a similar experience and spoke about it in 2004:

“Most of the things I saw were so horrible that they’ve been blocked mentally, I guess from self-preservation or something, that I don’t remember the details very much,” he said.

“I remember a couple of scenes very vivid. One, when we were approaching, we saw a trainload of prisoners. Turned out they were not prisoners. It was a trainload of bodies that had been sent to Dachau from Buchenwald, I presume to be, to go through the furnaces, ovens, of Dachau. That’s a presumption. The other scene was in the camp grounds. I saw two of these living walking skeletons shuffling along toward each other. They got within a few yards of each other, stopped, stared at each other, and then they tried to run, and embraced. They were either related or very close friends, and until that moment neither knew the other was still alive. And yet they’d been in that same prison for who knows how long. Those two scenes I remember very vivid, but a lot of the others I don’t.”

As I reflect over the past few weeks I have begun to sense a frustration among my fellow pro-life friends, that in light of these Planned Parenthood videos, the reality of the defenseless unborn child in the womb is not being conveyed strongly enough. This is by no means the fault of the pro-life group releasing the videos, in fact, they are to be commended.

It is simple human nature that when you see your opponent on the defensive, exposed and vulnerable, that you would focus on that for a while. And, it is important to remember that these videos could lead to a criminal investigation and possible defunding of the abortion clinic chain.

But, regardless of the result, we are the only voice for the unborn child.

We MUST advocate for them.

In the words of Albert Einstein, The world is too dangerous to live in not because of the people who do evil- but because of the people who sit and let it happen.”

I recently visited the Holocaust Museum in Dallas, Texas.

On their website they state that: “Here we make UpStanders.”

The definition of an Upstander is shown below and reads, “A Person who stands up not a person who stands by.”

UpSTander

What the Nazis did in Germany was legal at that time.

“And it was a crime. A crime against humanity. Oh, you don’t forget this
,” the Holocaust Museum narrator continues.

A child heard in the promotional video says that before she went to the museum she had no idea that 1.5 million children had been murdered by the Nazis.

“We did not know. We were not there. You were there and you do know,” the child’s voice continues.

“I learned to stand up even when no one else is, because I learned that one person can make a difference,” a 9th grade museum visitor wrote.

You have opened my eyes,” wrote another student.

Today, America is saying the same thing.

We did not know.

I’m shocked!

You did not know?

What did you think happened inside an abortion or Planned Parenthood facility?

The sanitized word abortion is as much a clinical term to the baby as the word “specimen” is. It does not paint the reality of the situation that it is the merciless execution of a human baby for profit.

To me, the CMP videos play an important role, in that, they are opening up to the American people the true and gruesome image of what abortion really is.

In the past, we have seen the still photos of the abortion victims. But, this week we peered into the death chamber’s back room where the “abortion hyenas” pick through the broken and bloodied remains of innocent children to see how they can enhance their pocket book even further. And we see it in video. We hear the callous references.

It is very disturbing!

Planned Parenthood path lab aborted baby

For those who looked, Kudos, for many who won’t I get it. The images are horrible. For the ones who have no idea, it is probably because the media is, after 42 years of legalized abortion, censoring their images again.

But, this is not a car wreck. It is not a drive by where you slow down – look out your window to see as much as you can while a police officer waives you by, thinking “how tragic” as you drive off. This is a murder and you are an eye witness. Everyday that abortion happens in our nation, in your city, your neighborhood near your church, you are affected.

That baby is the victim – that child is innocent!

But- what are we?

Are we to walk by like nothing is happening? To turn on the TV – go to our churches, clubs, movies and shopping malls with no outrage? Sadly, that has been the reaction all too often.

Last month, I posted a video of an experiment called The Bystander Effect.

It was conducted as a result of the 1964 murder of a young woman by the name of “Kitty Genovese” who was stabbed to death outside her home in Queens, New York.

Kitty Genovese Bystander

Kitty’s neighbors heard her desperate screams for help, yet no one called the police until it was too late and Kitty was dead. The event shocked the city and the nation, and became the impetus for research on the psychological phenomenon that became known as the “Bystander Effect” by psychologists John Darley and Bibb Latané.

It’s not enough to feel outraged you have to also be outraged. You must be motivated to work legally to end the slaughter for so many are apathetic at best and out-right pro-abortion at worst.

Be an UPSTANDER!

Kelli over at Live Action News today showed the contrast between the reaction to unborn babies being sold for body parts and the recent tragic shooting of a 13-year-old Lion named Cecil.

“…while Jimmy Kimmel and the rest of the world grieve over the death of a single lion, they also turn a blind eye to the story of children senselessly slaughtered – and sold for parts – by Planned Parenthood. Some – like Kimmel’s ex-girlfriend, for instance – go beyond turning a blind eye, instead expressing support for making good use of those fetal organs. For science, you know,” Kelli wrote.

She continued, “But the truth is, what we don’t want to see, we won’t see. We will cover our eyes and yell “fake!” because dead children just hit too close to home, and we’re far too culpable.”

Dallas Holocaust Museum

During my trip to the Dallas Holocaust Museum, I was moved to tears by what I saw.

They displayed artifacts from Jews who were taken to various Nazi concentration camps where their Bodies were stripped of all humanity. The Nazi’s took their teeth, their clothes, possessions and anything they saw as “valuable” leaving only their naked bodies to be worked, beaten, starved and in most cases murdered.

In the museum there was a wall displaying news articles of that era and I was struck by the words I read.

Holocaust Action not pity

A petition published in the New York Times from May 1943 asked:

“when will the UN establish an agency to deal with the problem of Hitlers extermination of a whole people?”

Holocaust NYT articles (Image Credit)

A voice of Christendom petition published February 26, 1943 also caught my attention and read in part:

It is not enough to indict and name the murderers. It is time for America and the United Nations to act!

Every hour sees the murder of more thousands…

How well are you sleeping ? Is there something you could have done to save millions of innocent people-Men, women and children from torture and death?

Another image captures the true spirit in a powerful quote:

    It reads:

“Though it be to die we will fight. We will fight not for ourselves but for future generations. Although we will not survive to see it, our murderers will pay for their crimes after we are gone. Our deeds will live forever.”

In 2012, Holocaust Survivor Max Glauben received German records from his time in the concentration camp labeled “konzentrationslager.”

His arm still bears the tattoo KL.

As he glanced at the documents, he made a stunning observation, “For the whole duration, I thought I was a nobody. But evidently, some of us were somebody — because look at the records they kept,” he said.

One day history will say the same about these babies labeled as “products of conception” as their organs are deemed valuable enough to document and haggle over.

The Holocaust survivor once told a group of school children, “If you listen to a witness, you become a witness,” he said.

In recounting his life’s story, Glauben spoke about his life’s overall lesson.

As I near the end of this post, I ask that you ponder his words:

Always deliver your best work; never give up; and act as an “upstander,” not a “bystander,” if you witness evil in the world.

My thoughts after first vids:
When it comes to Planned Parenthood’s ghoulish crimes, are we all guilty?

My thoughts after video #5:
History repeats itself in “Backing Planned Parenthood”

Planned Parenthood’s baby parts abortion victims shown to the world

Normally when I report on a story as huge as Planned Parenthood’s baby parts harvesting, I leave my emotions out of it.

Having just watch the third undercover video from the Center for Medical Progress, entitled, Human Capital – Episode 1: Planned Parenthood’s Black Market in Baby Parts, I am afraid that this time, I cannot set my emotions aside.

The latest sting video is hard hitting and features Dr. Katherine Sheehan, Medical Director emerita of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest in San Diego.

Katharine-Sheehan

Kate (Katharine) Sheehan made $312,509 plus $4988 in other compensation from the abortion giant in 2010, according to their 990.

In 2012, according to the most recent 990 filed Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest paid Sheehan $323,037 base compensation plus $6,000 in BONUS INCENTIVE COMPENSATION (wonder why?) $5169.00 in deferred compensation and $675.00 on other compensation for a total of $334,881.

CMP also captures undercover footage of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains’ (PPRM) Vice President and Medical Director Dr. Savita Ginde.

Savitaginde-pic-from-ohio-app2Previous to the three year baby parts investigation Ginde was sued by an abortion claiming the abortion facility forced her to undergo an abortion without anesthesia and then left part of her baby’s body inside of her.

In 2009″ Planned Parenthood bragged that their “clinical research” was enhanced by Ginde writing in a PPRM publication:

PPRM’s leadership role in advanced reproductive health care and clinical research has significantly grown with the appointment of Dr. Savita Ginde as medical director in 2004. Prior to PPRM, she conducted numerous clinical research trials within the reproductive health care specialty and, fortunately for us, continued this practice upon joining our team.

Adding:

The Clinical Research division is currently working to increase PPRM’s participation in clinical trials and behavioral and environmental studies. Our goal is to become a research leader within Planned Parenthood Federation of America and to continue providing high quality care to our clients.

In 2010 alone Savita Ginde, as the Medical Director of Planned Parenthood took in over $269,000 in salary.

By 2012, that amount rose to $270,327 in reportable compensation for only 20 hours a week of work plus $21,335 in OTHER COMPENSATION!

In the CMP video, you see abortionist Savita Ginde standing in the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic pathology laboratory, where fetuses are brought after abortions.

This is where my ability to remain without emotion kicks in.

What they show in the next view moments behind the walls of the Planned Parenthood lab brings back haunting memories for me. That is because years ago, I found and later buried the remains of several aborted children from a local abortion clinic.

I realize the CMP video is exposing the gruesome industry of trafficking in baby parts, but, I must stop here and focus on these children.

To Planned Parenthood these children are just “specimens” whose organs get them additional dollars in their already profitable industry.

Planned Parenthood sees this in a baby

That attitude is emphasized by a former Stem Express employee in the CMP vid.

Holly Odonnell Stem Express Planned Parenthood

Holly O’Donnell is a licensed phlebotomist who tells CMP that she unsuspectingly took a job as a “procurement technician” at the fetal tissue company and biotech start-up StemExpress in late 2012 after responding to an ad.

“Stem Express is a company that hires procurement techs to draw blood and dissect dead fetuses and sell the parts to researchers,” the former employee states.

The owner, Cate Dyer, she used to be a procurement tech and then she went and started her own business. And now she’s making a lot of money based off the poor girls who half the time don’t even want to get abortions.” O’Donnell adds.

Cate Fyer of Stem Express fetal body parts

In a previous post on how aborted baby organs are implanted in animals I note that, Cate Dyer, CEO and founder of Stem Express, has claimed that all “donors”, that is the pregnant women seeking the abortion and not the unborn child whose kidney’s were taken, are, “properly consented through an Institutional Review Board (IRB) consent, and donors are made aware of the potential use of any sample that we collect.”

In addition, I detail the IRB’s rules on fetal tissue research which governs the industry.

The IRB review boards states on the HHS website, “The fetus has a unique and inextricable relationship to the mother. It cannot consent to be a research subject. These circumstances have aroused lengthy public debate on the ethics of fetal research, and led to special federal regulations that guide IRB deliberations about fetal research. The fetus may also be an indirect subject of research when women who may be pregnant participate. Research involving pregnant women is also regulated.”

IRB Fetal Research

However, in detailing how to obtain aborted fetal tissue, the IRB says the following should be followed:

The decision to terminate a pregnancy and procedures of abortion should be kept independent from the retrieval and use of fetal tissue.
The timing and method of abortion should not be influenced by the potential uses of fetal tissue for transplantation or medical research.
Payments and other forms of remuneration and compensation associated with the procurement of fetal tissue should be prohibited, except payment for reasonable expenses occasioned by the actual retrieval, storage, preparation, and transportation of the tissues.

Addressing the possibility of research on a live fetus where the mother has already decided to have an abortion, The IRB says that, “The National Commission for the Protection of Human Subjects wrestled with this problem and concluded that there is no difference between the moral status of a fetus destined for abortion and that of a fetus to be carried to term. Therefore, only those research procedures that would be acceptable for a fetus going to term may be performed in anticipation of abortion.”

O’Donnell emphasized to CMP that the partnership Stem Express has with Planned parenthood gives them a financial benefit.

The 24-year-old phlebotomist said she had no idea she would be procuring organs from aborted fetuses.

The harder and the more valuable the tissue, the more money you get,” O’Donnells says in the video.

So, if you can somehow procure a brain or a heart you’re going to get more money…I guess that’s an incentive to try and get the hard stuff,” she said.

Baby
But, she said that she did not want to lose the job and even though she passed out in shock when she first saw the area where the babies are dissected, she went along with it for the job.

She then describes her first day at a “Concord clinic” where she met the staff and looked over in a corner where there was a “little white tray with pie dishes on it.”

And then I see someone come in with a bottle of something and there was blood in it…Then they went over to the sink and they emptied it out on a strainer and put it on the pie dish and light it up. And I’m like looking and what’s going on…

Aborted Babies pie boal PP

And my trainer comes over and she puts on gloves and she grabs some tweezers and she’s picking the parts away from the vaginal tissue…

So, I’m looking and I don’t know what’s going on. I had no idea this is what was going to be happening especially my first day, And she’s literally she has tweezers and she’s like okay well this is a head, this is an arm, this is a leg. And she hands them over to me and oh here you go can you show me some of the parts I just showed you?”

Holly Odonnell described aborted baby parts Planned Parenthood

So, I did what she said and the moment I took the tweezers I put them in the dish – I remember grabbing the leg and I said this is a leg and the moment I picked it up I could just feel like [inaudible] and pain. Like I never felt like that before like shoot up through my body. And I started to…I blacked out.

“They got the smelling salt. woke up in the recovery room and looking around- was really embarrassed. You know, who faints at their first job? And one nurse looks at me and is like, Oh – you’re new huh? And, I’m like yeah. Don’t worry it still happens to a bunch of us…Some of us don’t ever really get over it.

“And, I remember leaving that day like what have I gotten myself into,” O’Donnell stated.

Although I can relate to what she saw having a similar shocking reaction to the body parts I found of aborted babies (shown to the left), I was reminded of an old episode of Quincy.

Quincey

In the TV series centered around a medical examiner who solves crimes, Quincy played by Jack Klugman was in a rush to get through a scheduled police training session using cadavers.

Without preparation or warning, Quincy quickly removes the sheet from the dead victim causing each officer to faint at what they see.

But, this is not fiction, this is real.

Tragically, the behind the scene images of aborted babies shown in the CMP video are a haunting reminder of what I saw so many years ago.

And so….we must remember who the real victims of this Mengele-like operation are: Unborn Children!

planned-parenthood-video-crush-b

Shortly after the first Planned Parenthood videos from CMP were released showing their top medical directors bragging about crushing above or below specific human organs or using a “less crunchy” technique to procure “whole specimens” I wrote an Op-Ed reflecting on the horror where I ask, “When it comes to Planned Parenthood’s ghoulish crimes, are we all guilty?”

Writing in part:

I am sitting at my desk, taking a moment of reflection over the past week, what I have witnessed, listened to and read. I am disturbed – even haunted and somehow – I am not surprised.

The news of Planned Parenthood’s grisly baby parts operation has been a daily source of news, social media posts, blogs, and videos. I have been caught up in it all, and now…I reflect.

I think about what is happening in this nation – of 42 years of legalized abortion on demand.

As I ponder what has taken place this last week, I am not shocked that babies are being chopped up and sold for parts like an old car in a junkyard.

I am not shocked, because every day, more than 3,000 beautifully formed, innocent babies are snuffed out in their mother’s wombs by abortion.

What shocks me more than hearing what groups like Planned Parenthood are doing with their remains is the lack of concern for these tiny humans on a daily basis.

Continuing:

Are we not moved to tears by the mere ripping apart, in early suction abortions, of their innocent arms, legs lungs and kidneys on a daily basis? Can we not envision the horror of the abortionist’s knife grasping the limbs, torso, and head of the second trimester unborn child in a D&E abortion?

We have to ask ourselves these tough questions.

Which is more evil? An abortionist who finds ways to profit from every aspect of the bloody procedure or an apathetic sideliner who scolds him for unethical business practices instead of for his murderous actions? Have we become so accustomed to abortion that the real crime of it – the taking of a valuable human life, created in the image of God – is not the overall cause of our outrage?

Yes – Planned Parenthood MUST be defunded, investigated, and exposed.

Yes- the harvesting of human baby body parts is a gruesome industry.

But, we can never forget where those “parts” come from.

Aborted baby arm

They are removed from a human baby who is brutally executed for convenience and then chopped up inside a death mill and sold for spare parts.

Is this really what “feminism” and “choice” and “empowerment of women” has come to?

Is this what America wants to go on record being in favor of?

As I wrote in my Op-Ed, Nazi Holocaust survivor Eva Kor once pointed out that despite the evils of Hitler’s regime, good people stayed silent:

Hitler was a terrorist who rose to power because good people said nothing, she said.

“The key word here is terrorist. Terrorists have no respect for human life,” she said. “In Germany, not all Germans were Nazis. There were many good Germans — but nobody spoke up.”

Who will speak up for these babies?

You can read the entire Op-Ed here and you can visit my blog post where I witnessed the bloodied remains of aborted babies here.
