On the campaign trail in Iowa this weekend, Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina called out a Planned Parenthood supporter for spreading propaganda, rhetoric, and lies.
In their standard birth control costume and pink garb, a handful of Planned Parenthood supporters yelled and screamed at the only female GOP contender for the White House, while she campaigned at a tailgate party for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
According to ABC News the ever-so-tolerant supporters of women’s rights and choice threw condoms at Carly Fiorina chanting “Carly Fiorina offsides for telling lies” and “women are watching and we vote.”
Carly was later greeted by a Planned Parenthood supporter, who referred to herself as a researcher for “the criminal justice” asking her the following question:
“How can you as a woman not support our health care?” alleging that Fiorina can “be a woman and not support them.”
The abortion supporter alleges that killing babies in the womb for any reason and at any stage of pregnancy is “health care.”
Fiorina responded firmly;
“Oh, I support your health care. I don’t support the butchery of babies.”
Adding, “Why is it that fetuses are born alive to butcher their brains?”
The GOP presidential candidate was referring to under cover videos published by the Center for Medical Progress detailing the gruesome baby parts harvesting operation going on at Planned Parenthood.
In one of their most recent videos, CMP spoke with the former employee and procurement technician for Stem Express who said that she was ordered to cut through the face of a live baby to retrieve the child’s brain tissue.
Holly O’Donnell, who worked for the same fetal tissue company that serviced Planned Parenthood, later quit after she could no longer stomach what she was required to participate in at the various abortion facilities which Stem Express serviced.
Later in the conversation, Carly called out the pro-choice Planned Parenthood supporter for not supporting tax funding of pregnancy centers:
“If you support women’s rights, then ask yourself this. Why is it Democrats won’t support tax payer funding of pregnancy centers which also are focused on women’s health but don’t have an abortion agenda? They’re all privately funded,” Carly stated.
Describing it as a “big political rigged game,” Carly also pointed out that Planned Parenthood, which receives over $528 million federal tax dollars annually, supports mainly Democrat candidates.
A 2014 Open Secrets list of political candidates in federal races who received Planned Parenthood contributions shows that Carly was correct about the allegation.
Open Secrets, which boasts that they are the most comprehensive resource for federal campaign contributions, lobbying data and analysis available anywhere, also reported that in the 2013-2014 political cycle, Planned Parenthood’s political contributions broke down the following way:
For Democrats: $1,854,476
Against Democrats: $0
For Republicans: $13,390
Against Republicans: $2,873,201
As Carly ended her conversation, she called the Planned Parenthood supporter’s rhetoric propaganda telling her that she needed to get her facts straight.
“You need to get your facts straight ma’am. And then we’re going to have a debate over the facts. Cause what you’re talking about is rhetoric, propaganda, and lies,” she stated.
Carly is among several presidential contenders on the Republican side calling for the defunding of Planned Parenthood. This week Congress is in the process of deciding whether the federal dollars will continue to flow to the abortion chain’s coffers, something pro-lifers want stopped immediately.
