Teen refuses abortion and places baby for adoption: ‘I made this decision purely out of love’

Posted in Adoption with tags , , on November 20, 2017 by saynsumthn

Hannah Mongie discovered she was pregnant about two months after graduating from high school. She loved the baby’s father and had planned to continue a relationship with him, but in September of 2015, the child’s father, Kaden, suddenly passed away just days after hearing his baby’s heartbeat in the womb.

The news devastated the young pregnant mother, who was then faced with the hardest decision of her life: whether to raise her baby or place him up for adoption with a loving family.

“Never once though did I let abortion become an option for me,” Hannah said in the video, pointing out that the preborn baby inside her was a separate person.

“The second I became pregnant, I was no longer my own person. I became a protector of this little boy inside of me…. I am fighting for his rights, not abortion,” she said.

Hannah Mongie adoption story

Hannah’s son, whom she named Taggart Kaden Marsh, was born weeks later, and in March 2016, this brave young woman placed him with his adoptive parents. Hannah had just two days to spend one-on-one with her newborn son. Through heart wrenching tears, she chose the last two hours of that time, to produce an emotional video for Tagg so that he would know why he was placed for adoption.

“I made this video so that you know how much I love you,” Hannah said tearfully.

Hannah was certain to tell her son how his father felt about him, “He loved you from the very, very beginning,” she stated, recounting how she texted him Tagg’s eight-week fetal heartbeat.

“And from then on he couldn’t be happier. And he was hoping for a boy so that he could teach him baseball and sports and stuff,” Hannah continued.

Then Hannah told her newborn son of his father: “Two days after he heard your heartbeat, his heart stopped.”

“From the day your daddy died, I had a hard time even considering placing you even with a different family, when you were my last piece of Kaden. But one day I woke up and I just knew you were supposed to be with someone else, so I went and searched for families.”

Hannah said that while she was still pregnant she found the perfect parents for Tagg, after meeting them in person.

“And then, over time, me and your mommy Emily became really good friends. And she’s one of my best friends now. And we’ve been getting really, really excited together for you to be in her home,” Hannah said choking back tears, “And I helped her put a nursery together for you.”

“Before I sign you off to Brad and Emily… and you’re going to be their little boy… and I just want you to know that I really, really love you so much. More than I’ve ever loved any other human in the whole world. I made this decision purely out of love because I knew I couldn’t give you what I knew you needed which is a mommy and a daddy.

And I hope your daddy’s watching over us right now.”

Hannah’s video (below) has been shared thousands of times.

Her deep love for her son and her emotional goodbye has touched many others.

A year after Hannah gave birth to her son, the brave birth mom posted this message to her Instagram page:

One year ago today was the best, most incredible and most tiring day of my existence.

I gave birth to the love of my life. The most beautiful baby boy in the whole entire world.

He is my heart and my soul. This baby boy has saved me in ways I could never explain.

He is the reason I love God and the reason I have so much love for Jesus and for the Atonement. I will never be able to express to him how grateful I am that he became apart of my life. I don’t know what I would do without him. I am not me without him here on this earth. He has given me purpose.

From the moment I heard his cry, tears flowed from my eyes. They were tears of a new kind of love that I had never experienced before.

The all consuming love that a mother has for her child. If I could go back and live these three days of agony all over again, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Happiest first birthday to the love of my love, my sweet Taggart Kaden Marsh. You will always be my first true love.

November is National Adoption Awareness Month. For all the birth moms out there like Hannah, Live Action News would like to say how much we appreciate each one of you. We know, as Hannah has made clear, that your decision was not easy, but was one that was made from pure love. You are heroes.

Texas Motor Speedway Drive Adoption

Adoption will be the theme during NASCAR’s third-largest paying race slated for April 9, 2016 in Fort Worth. Texas. During the Duck Commander 500, the stars of the famous A+E Duck Dynasty show are partnering with Texas Motor Speedway to launch an adoption awareness campaign. “Drive Adoption” as the campaign has been dubbed by Fort Worth’s Texas Motor Speedway has partnered with race entitlement sponsor Duck Commander to raise awareness and funds for adoption in conjunction with the Duck Commander 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Saturday, April 9.

A press release on the company website reads:

Adoption has touched the family of Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson and his wife, Korie. The family, from the popular reality show “Duck Dynasty,” has welcomed three children into their family through adoption and continues to be advocates for the process. The most recent addition was Rowdy, who they met at last year’s Duck Commander 500 through a local adoption agency.

Robertsons of Duck Dynasty

Adoption has touched our family in profound ways since the moment our son Will came into our family at just five weeks old. Will continues to bless our lives daily as we watch him grow and become the man God calls him to be.

“There shouldn’t be kids without homes. It just shouldn’t happen,” Korie told PEOPLE a few years ago.

The couple said that when they approached the adoption agency for their first adopted son, Will they did not have the money for the adoption. But they were committed it and came up with what they needed.

During an award ceremony at the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s Angels in Adoption Gala, Korie broke down when she recounted that moment when Will became their son. Telling the audience:

From the moment we found out about him, he was ours. I swear, I had labor pains the night before I went and picked him up at the foster home he was living at. He’s our child, just like our biological children.

Rebecca Robertson

In 2004, the Robertsons welcomed Rebecca Lo who came to the Duck Dynasty couple as an exchange student from Taiwan. Then, last year another child won their hearts. Korie explains:

Last year at the Duck Commander 500 – in between the hectic rush of press conferences, riding in pace cars, and announcing, “Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines” – Willie and I walked into a quiet, little room and our lives were forever changed when we met the 12-year-old boy who would soon become ours.

The newly adopted member of the Robertson family, 12-year-old Rowdy Robertson, who is from Texas, will be a co-Grand Marshals at the race.

Adoption is something more than one Duck Dynasty family member has taken part in. Recently brother Jep and his wife Jessica adopted little Jules Augustus. Jessica said that after some health risks that kept her from having another child, Jep came on board, “He was like, ‘You know what, it’s a God thing. If it’s so heavy on your heart, this is something we need to do.‘”

“We went to the adoption agency and we said, ‘We don’t care what race, what gender. We just want to have a baby, so whatever happens, happens.’ So we got us a little Gus,” Jep told US Magazine.

Willie Robertson told Sports Spectrum that he and Korie had talked about adopting a child when they were dating.

Take a kid and put them in a good home, a Christian home…We just thought it would be great. We tried to pursue it and got a few road blocks and the Lord provided. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done on this earth.

Drive Adoption Nascar

The Duck Commander race in Texas will help launch what the Robertsons hope will be a way to drive families to consider adoption.

Our theme for the 2016 Duck Commander 500 is Drive Adoption and we plan to do just that. It is our hope and dream that this race will drive families to consider adoption, connect people in need of adoption resources with organizations that can help, and bring to light the beautiful children around the world in need of a loving, caring family.

Willie and Korie Robertson plan to be at the Texas Motor Speedway to reinforce their adoption message:

Adoption is rarely easy, but it is ALWAYS worth it. We hope to make the adoption process easier by providing a platform for awareness, resources, and education, with the ultimate goal of uniting children with forever families.

It is in honor of that special meeting and the millions of children around the world who are still waiting to find a family to call their own that we have decided to dedicate this race to the cause of adoption.

To help generate adoption awareness, Texas Motor Speedway and Duck Commander have established a special Drive Adoptionticket package for NASCAR’s first points-paying Saturday night race of the 2016 Sprint Cup season. The package consists of two frontstretch tickets for the Duck Commander 500 – NASCAR’s third-largest paying race – and a pair of special Uncle Si Duck Commander duck calls for $150.

Adopted boy shares same disability as his new Grandpa

Posted in Adoption with tags , on November 29, 2015 by saynsumthn

The beautiful story of a young disabled adopted boy has gone viral after photographers captured the moment his adoptive grandfather with the same disability met the child.

Karill adopted boy

Little Kirill was placed for adoption by his biological family when he was just 20 days old. It took his adoptive parents Doug and Lesley Facey three years to adopt the four year-old from an orphanage in Kazakhstan but they were thrilled when they were finally able to pick him up and take him to his new Canadian home. At the time the Faceys got Kirill he had been passed up for adoption six times because he was born without a hand. Doug Facey told Fox 6 that when he expressed an interest in adopting Kirill, the adoption agency questioned him, repeatedly asking if he and his wife really wanted a child with only one hand?

At the age of four, Kirill spent his life thinking there was no one else like him. That is until he met Doug’s father, his new adopted “Grandpa”, Chris Facey. Doug, told ABC News about the moment his son met his dad and the touching encounter was captured in the image below, “I was excited when Kirill met my Dad,” Doug said.

Karille and Grandpa disability adoption

Doug described the first time his dad saw a photo of Kirill,
Dad’s reaction was emotional the first time he saw a picture His first words were, ‘He’s like me,'” Facey told TODAY.

Telling ABC News, “I knew it would be a great thing for him because Kirill would realize he was not the only person in the world missing a hand.”

“My Dad’s reaction was one of excitement as well because he could show [and] teach Kirill that the sky is the limit and he can do whatever he wants.”

Leslie Facey said that the media attention her family has received has been tremendous. “A lot of people are saying, ‘You guys are wonderful and you guys have done a fabulous thing,’ but Doug and I never, ever thought that way,” she told Canada’s CBC.

Leslie thought back to the concern others had when the couple adopted Kirill telling Fox6 that she knew no disability would hold her son back because it did not hold back his new grandpa, “How can I sit there and say ‘this is gonna be a problem’ when you’re looking at this man who’s been to the Paralympics, who played soccer, he’s a great philanthropist in the city, he’s a very successful businessman. How can you sit there and say ‘my child won’t be able to do any of that?’” she said.

Kirill’s new Grandpa agrees noting that when he met his grandchild for the first time, “I didn’t see a little boy who was disabled and missing a right hand.” he said.

Doug said that he and Leslie are happy that now their son can just be a kid. They told the media that adopting Kirill has changed their lives and that they are happy to “have a little boy to love, cherish and educate.”

He’s going to get the best chance to be the best he possibly can. He’s bright, he’s smart … He’s a keeper,” Chris Facey added.

Black Pastor on: Abortion, Adoption, Black Genocide and Perceived Racism

Voddie BauchamVoddie Baucham is a husband, father, pastor, author, professor, conference speaker and church planter. He serves as Pastor of Preaching at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, TX.

In a video posted online, Pastor Baucham was asked how he was advocating for progress within the Black community. He responded by talking about his commitment to expose abortion and black genocide calling it the number one killer of Black people and accusing Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger of wanting to rid the world of black children and using black people to to so.

Me personally,” he answered, “over the last couple of decades, one of the things people have gotten tired of me talking about is abortion and Black genocide. The number one killer of Black people, by far, since 1973, has been abortion. It has killed more Black people than all the other causes of death combined,” he stated.

My wife and I got so involved in this issue and in the pro-life movement over the fact that Black women make up 12% of the population but have 36% of the abortions. Margaret Sanger’s Negro project, you know Malthusian eugenics and the desire to eliminate the unwanted races and especially Black people, that being carried on even today.

As a result of his outspoken advocacy for children targeted for abortion Pastor Baucham is also outspoken on fatherlessness in the Black family as well as an advocate for adoption calling it “The Gospel”. He goes on to say that abortion and the targeting of Black babies for abortion became so real that he and his wife adopted 7 Black children. Today, the couple speaks out about the need for Black families to adopt children, “It’s adoption – that’s the Gospel…And Black families don’t adopt. And so, there are black children sitting there waiting for families to adopt them. And then Black people have the audacity to get mad at white people for adopting the Black children that they won’t.”

Pastor Baucham says he is passionate about abortion pointing out that the Black community can talk all day long about their perceived racism, but abortion through Roe v. Wade is, in fact tangible racism happening now, ” “This issue of Black genocide from abortion, I will not stop talking about this issue. You know, we can talk about perceived racism all day long. You know, we can talk about the things that we feel are unjust all day long. But Roe vs. Wade is a law ! It’s got a name, it’s got a face. I know where it is. I can go right to it.”

“My perception about what people feel about me. My perception about inequality – that doesn’t have a face. What is that? How do you deal with a perception? I’m talking about something that’s real. Something that’s a fact! And so, for me, that’s something that I’m passionate about. That’s something that I ache over and that’s something we’re doing to ourselves.” he said passionately.

Burger King Baby Mother

A woman who took to facebook to find her birth mother has been successful. Saynsumthn previously reported on Katheryn Deprill, the “Burger King baby,” who finally met her mom Monday afternoon.

WFMZ reports that the two women were reunited at 1:45 p.m. March 24, 2014 in the office of attorney John Waldron in Allentown. Their meeting left Deprill “super excited — it’s better than what I thought.” “They immediately hugged,” said Waldron, who arranged the meeting at the request of Deprill’s birth mother. “It was exciting, emotional, dramatic.” “It was really fun seeing something this happy and this joyful,” he told 69 News.

He said the woman and her husband already had made a decision to try to find the baby she had given up 27 years ago. He added all the media coverage about Deprill’s search made it easier, but also “scared Mom a bit. She did not want to be in the limelight.”

According to Waldron, Deprill’s birth mother had been raped while traveling in another country and became pregnant. She was only 17 years old.

He said abortion was not an option.

She managed to keep her pregnancy a secret. When the baby was born, she told him, she could not take her to the hospital without questions being asked. “She left the baby in a location where the baby would be found and cared for. She kissed the baby on the forehead, Katheryn, and left,” said Waldron.

I first heard of Katheryn also known as the Burger King Baby on NBC Nightly News a few nights back Her story touched my heart.

Back Story:

NBC described Katheryn this way: Katheryn_Deprill_2_0828c Katheryn Deprill, wife, mother of three and an emergency medical technician who devotes much of her day to protecting the lives of strangers, is now pursuing the stranger who has eluded Deprill all her life.

Deprill is in search of her biological mother. Adopted into the caring family of Brenda and Carl Hollis, she grew up in Allentown, Pa., and always knew she was adopted. She describes a happy childhood, but at the age of 12, she learned that the circumstances of her birth were headline news in 1986. Her biological mother had wrapped her in a red sweater and abandoned her as a newborn just hours old in the bathroom of a Burger King.

Deprill, a 27-year-old married mother of three, figured the photo would be reposted by friends, maybe friends of friends. A week later, it’s been shared nearly 27,000 times by Facebook users around the world. Deprill’s story is rocketing around the media world, too.

But there’s still no sign of the mystery woman who left her in a restaurant bathroom.

Deprill said there’s so much she wants to tell her birth mom.

Number one is, I would really like to say, ‘Thank you for not throwing me away, thank you for giving me the gift of life, and look what I’ve become,‘” Deprill said Monday.

I would guess she just couldn’t give me the life that she wanted, which is why she left me in a warm, public place,’ she added.

In a message to her birth mother, she said that she did not want anything other than to say hello – and maybe have a hug.

She could have been very young and very scared. I can’t imagine being in her shoes and being alone,” she told ABC News.

Deprill’s adoptive mother Brenda Hollis said she fully supported her daughter’s plan.

I think it’s just kind of fun, like there’s so many questions to be asked and it’s just, I am so excited about it,’ she told WFMZ.
