A Texas abortion facility which is a member of the National Abortion Federation (NAF) has been fined over $20,000 for a number of serious health violations found during a state inspection. The Houston Women’s Clinic, located at 4820 San Jacinto in Houston, opened in 1976 and commits abortions up to 16 weeks. It is operated by abortionist Bernard Rosenfeld. A second doctor, Yuri Nosaville, M.D., is listed on the clinic’s medical history forms.

Rosenfeld, who owns the Houston Women’s [abortion] Clinic and offers tubal reversals out of a second location, has been committing abortions since 1971. He was recently “honored” by the pro-abortion Lilith Fund and his website claims he is “on staff at Texas Women’s and St. Luke’s Hospitals in the Texas Medical Center.”

In 2015, the Texas Medical Board filed a board action against Rosenfeld which indicated that the abortionist failed to register his facility with the Texas Department of State Health Services. LifeSiteNews reported, “The Texas Alliance for Life said its offices had been ‘tipped off by a local pro-life leader’ that Rosenfeld had been performing abortions, not only at Houston Women’s Clinic — which advertises itself as ‘among the best abortion clinics in Houston’ — but in his private medical office. He even advertised his private abortion services online.”

As a result, the State Board ordered him to complete eight hours of continuing medical education and remove any advertisements for abortions services from his website.

The next year (2016), Rosenfeld’s Houston abortion facility was inspected by the state.

The findings, which are eerily similar to what was found inside the Gosnell House of Horrors abortion facility, include the abysmal treatment of a patient with post-abortion complications as well as serious infection control issues, may be an indication why the abortionist did not want to register his facility.

According to the Order, obtained by Live Action News, an inspection of the abortion facility was performed in August of 2016 and by February of 2017, Houston Women’s Clinic or “Respondent” admitted to the violations and agreed to pay a substantial penalty of $20,300:

According to the Notice of Violations, Houston Women’s Clinic failed to:

  • Meet at least quarterly to identify issues with respect to which quality assurance activities are necessary.
  • Make available current/accurate information for visitors and patients on how to file complaints.
  • Develop or implement a post-procedure infection monitoring policy.
  • Conduct annual evaluations and infection control training.
  • Maintain documentation of required laboratory testing and vaccinations of staff.
  • Provide a safe and sanitary environment to protect the health and safety of patients and staff.
  • Enforce infection control policies to minimize the transmission of infection.
  • Properly package and document instruments to be sterilized.
  • Use external chemical indicators.
  • Follow manufacturer’s written instructions in sterilizing instruments.
  • Provide and ensure proper and adequate storage of sterilized items.
  • Document and maintains clinical records adequately.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for patient post-procedure follow-up.
  • Ensure that schedule II-V drugs were properly secured.

The document reveals the clinic also:

  • Did not have records of making any post-procedure follow-up attempts on 11 patients.
  • Had a lack of infection control training for six staff members.
  • Had 22 instances of sterilization, sanitation and safety issues.
  • The facility failed to safeguard against the proliferation of infection in three procedure rooms.
  • The facility referred a patient who reported post-abortion complications to an emergency room and did not attempt to further inquire about her condition or confirm that she sought treatment.

The facility’s other abortionist, Yury Joseph Nosaville, has connections to the notorious abortionist dubbed “Texas Gosnell.”

In 2014, pro-life watchdog group Operation Rescue reported that Nosaville was working for abortionist Douglas Karpen. According to OR, Karpen’s “former abortion workers alleged that Karpen was intentionally killing babies born alive during abortions done beyond the legal limit by cutting their throats or twisting their heads nearly off their bodies.”  [View report with photos — WARNING.]

An interview with the witnesses can be viewed below:

OR also reported that “Nosaville was known by some of Karpen’s staff as ‘Dr. Jab-and-Stab’ due to the way he apparently rushed roughly through abortion procedures.”

A patient review published at Vitals.com for Dr. Nosaville, which does not specify the location the patient visited, indicates there could be potential problems with his Nosaville’s quality of care. It reads in part:

[…]It was unpleasant to wait for over an hour past the appointment time seeing woman after woman arriving back dizzy after seemingly having had an abortion. The staff is hardly friendly…

In March of 2018, the state performed another inspection of the Houston Women’s Clinic and again found violations. The 23-page report is yet another indication that nothing has changed.

Tragically, the kind of violations found inside this Houston abortion facility are not unique. In 2016, Operation Rescue reviewed public documents and found that between August 2015 and June 2016, 16 of 17 Texas abortion facilities failed health and safety inspections.

Maryland authorities slow to act against “Gosnell-like” abortion doctor

It’s a story similar to one we’ve heard before: an abortionist currently “under review” by the state continues to commit abortions while the medical board and abortion lobby appear undisturbed.

Recall the case of Kermit Gosnell, who ran what has been dubbed an abortion “house of horrors” in Philadelphia for years, while, despite several complaints, authorities turned a blind eye to his actions.

Now, the pro-life group Operation Rescue has reported that Harold O. Alexander, charged by the Maryland Board of Medicine in 2015 for conducting surgical abortions at an unlicensed facility, has been caught allegedly doing it again – and in response, the medical board intends to keep the complaint “on file.”

REPUBLISHED FROM LIFE DYNAMICS BLOG!

As a result of criminal charges against an abortion doctor, an abortion clinic in Indiana has clinic has reportedly closed it’s doors.

According to reports, Friendship Family Planning abortion clinic in Gary closed May 27.

The clinic had previously been cited for deficiencies.

Ken Severson, spokesman for the Indiana Department of Health stated that the abortion clinic’s closure came as the abortion doctor, Ulrich Klopfer, was facing charges of failing to timely file a report related to an abortion he performed on a 13-year-old girl in 2012.

As an abortion doctor, Klopfer was required to report such abortions, because of statutory rape laws in Indiana.

In 2014, after the criminal complaint became public, Klopfer was summonsed to appear before the Indiana Medical Licensing Board to explain his actions.

But, they allowed him to keep his medical license pending the state’s investigation.

Criminal Charges Klopfer Jan 2014

The unreported abortion was brought to the attention of authorities by Lake County Right to Life in December of 2013.

Unreported abortions on minor girls have also been reported in a complaint filed by representatives of Indiana Right to Life and Allen County Right to Life.

The documents, filed by members of Allen County Right, stated that Klopfer performed an abortion on another 13-year-old in Allen County at the now closed Ft. Wayne Woman’s Health Organization on February 7, 2013 and failed to report that abortion as required by state law as well.

The age of that patient surfaced as Allen County Right to Life Executive Director, Cathie Humbarger, reviewed publicly available terminated pregnancy reports. The pregnancy report, filed with the State Department of Health, appears to confirm the allegation. (Read Allen County RTL Report here)

The criminal charges in Lake County cite Klopfer for failing to timely file a public report about the abortion he performed on a 13 year old child at the Friendship Family Planning abortion Clinic in Gary, In. in September of 2012.

The affidavit states that the report wasn’t sent to the Indiana Department of Health until January of 2013.

Klopfer Probable Cause Criminal

The news led to Klopfer’s back up physician terminating his status with the abortionist. Indiana requires every abortion doctor in the state to have admitting privileges to a local hospital or an agreement with a doctor who does.

Dr--Ulrich--George--Klopfer

Indiana Right to Life recently issued a news release stating that abortionist Klopfer has “surrendered” his license for the Gary clinic:

Klopfer has surrendered his Gary, Ind. abortion license.

Klopfer’s surrender follows the release of an alarming report by the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) showing deplorable conditions and safety hazards at his Gary facility.

The surrender also comes just prior to Klopfer’s scheduled hearing on June 25 before the Indiana Medical Licensing Board, where the Board could choose to remove his medical license.

Klofper, who lives in Illinois, still has his Fort Wayne and South Bend abortion sites licensed with the state, despite only doing abortions in South Bend.

Life Dynamics Inc., a national pro-life organization located in Denton, Texas, points out that although they do not know the circumstances of these young girl’s pregnancies, mandatory reporting statutes which require healthcare workers to report reasonable suspicions of child sexual abuse to the authorities are being ignored inside American abortion, Planned Parenthood and family planning centers.

For several years now, Life Dynamics has documented the failure of abortion clinics to report statutory rape.

According to Mark Crutcher, founder of Life Dynamics, “When we began to investigate we found it was even worse than we thought it was. Initially we thought perhaps the abortion clinics were only reporting half of the incidents, but instead we found that they were reporting hardly any of them.”

Crutcher recently published a report of actual cases where clinics did not report suspected child abuse, often leading to repeated rape and assaults on the victims.

You can read that report here.

According to Indiana Right to Life, the license surrender also comes just prior to Klopfer’s scheduled hearing on June 25 before the Indiana Medical Licensing Board, where the Board could choose to remove his medical license.

According to the Florida Medical Board website, the Emergency Suspension Order was filed 7/23/14.

But a Voluntary Relinquishment Pending Board Action was filed September 10, 2014.

Suspended abortion docs dukes it out with pro-lifers outside hearing room

An abortion doc whose license was just suspended after the state health department found abysmal conditions at his Michigan abortion clinic went head to head with pro-life leaders outside the hearing room.

Robert Alexander abortion doc 2014

According to a report by Operation Rescue, Abortionist Robert Alexander appeared before the Michigan Board of Medicine this week for a final hearing on charges of gross negligence and incompetence after he was caught operating a squalid abortion facility in Muskegon that rivaled conditions found at Kermit Gosnell’s Philadelphia “House of Horror.”

Despite the fact that an administrative judge found that Alexander, who suffers from mental illness, was not fit to practice medicine and recommended his permanent license revocation, the Board voted to suspend Alexander’s license for 6 months and 1 day. They also told Alexander that he would have to re-apply to have his license reinstated, at which time he would be required to pay a fine of $75,000.

If Alexander does not reapply for licensing, his license would not be automatically renewed after his suspension and he would continue to be barred from practicing in Michigan. ( read more here)

Outside the hearing room, the abortion doctor accused pro-lifers of using inside connections to close his clinics down. Pro-life leaders had an angry response, “May I remind you that it was the Fire Marshall that shut the building down,” one of them stated, “It had nothing to do with the Board of Medicine or the State investigators.”

Alexander confronts prolife leaders

When asked about the accusations by former patients that he had botched abortions he responded, “Botched abortions is when they are done wrong. Every patient is handled with care. Every patient is handled with delicate gloves, “ Alexander told a WoodTV8 reporter.

To avoid further questions by the news media, Alexander said, “Let me go, okay? I gotta go, I got to go to see some patients right...”

He was then asked by eh reporter, “How can you see patients, you don’t have a license?

The conversation which clearly shows how confused this abortion doctor is has been uploaded in full by WoodTV8:

Here the abortionist blames the death of his wife who died this year on harassment by pro-lifers but then he later calls the people from Right to Life, “good people.”

He also elaborates on why he can still practice telling the reporter that the revocation of suspension order isn’t in effect yet.

The pro-lifers then respond to his accusations that they placed someone inside his office to get him closed down.

Abby Johnson CLinic Alexander article

That accusation is based on an article published by Life News in 2012.

Lynn Mills Robert Alexander Hearing 2014

Pro-life activist Lynn Mills explains that one of Alexander’s staffers wanted out of the abortion business so she contacted Abby Johnson’s group. Mills says that Johnson put the former clinic worker in touch with Operation Rescue who asked her if she wanted to file a complaint against the clinic.

It is no secret for officials to use former employees to gather inside information or complaints about people doing illegal or unprofessional activities which cause harm to the public. Alexander just needs to face the facts, he did this to himself and there is no one else to blame.

Should we be surprised that an industry which protects men who sexually assault children would include men who sexually assault children?” ~ Mark Crutcher, president of Life Dynamics, Inc.

ChildPorn Headline Michaelis
Today, Life Dynamics, Inc., a national pro-life organization located in Denton, Texas has responded to the indictment of an Ohio abortion doctor with a history of sexually explicit crimes involving children.

According to reports, 69 year-old abortion doctor, Thomas William Michaelis has voluntarily surrendered his medical license after being indicted on Federal charges of receiving and distributing child pornography. Michaelis had recently worked as an abortionist at Capital Care Network abortion clinic in Toledo.

Authorities say they focused on Michaelis’ illegal activities between January and May, 2014.

Michaelis Porn Charges

According to the indictment, Michaelis received and distributed child porn images between April and May of this year. He possessed and accessed one or more websites containing depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct between January and May.

Thomas Michaelis Booked

Public documents show Michaelis is a doctor with a history of abusing minors. Documents state he admitted to sexually explicit crimes involving his teenage daughter’s friends.

According to the pro-life group, Operation Rescue, in 1991, the Ohio Medical Board cited Michaelis after he had been convicted of Attempted Gross Sexual Imposition, Voyeurism, Public Indecency, all involving minor girls. Michaelis had engaged in sexual “touching” and other advances on girls in their early teens who had come to his home to play with his daughter.

In that case, Michaelis gave testimony that he watched a minor girl partially undress, attempted to touch another minor girl on her bottom, and attempted to touch a third minor child on her breasts. The abortion doctor also admitted that he exposed himself to a forth minor child. In 1991, Michaelis was sentenced to 15 months in prison, but ended up serving only 60 days.

Medical Board Docs Michaelis

The Board finally revoked Michaelis’ license but reinstated it a few years later after Michaelis complied with a number of requirements imposed by the Board, including an order for him to submit to counseling.

The abortion doctor was last known to have been working at a Toledo abortion clinic when his license was revoked in May, during the time of the investigation.

Mark Crutcher, president of Life Dynamics, Inc. said this indictment was,” typical of the character of the people we deal with in the abortion industry on a daily basis.”

Crutcher and his team have recently published several criminal case summaries showing that the abortion industry covers for men who sexually abuse children.

The report, entitled, “The Cover-Up of Child Sexual Abuse”, shows clearly that the failure of abortion clinics to comply with mandatory reporting laws is having profound, real-world consequences for the victims of child sexual abuse. Read the report here.

After reviewing Michaelis’ history Crutcher said he was not surprised that he was working at an abortion clinic, Should we be surprised that an industry which protects men who sexually assault children would include men who sexually assault children?” Crutcher asked.

Lime5 Sarah Ad

Crutcher has detailed the rape of and sexual assault of abortion patients in a book he authored years ago entitled, Lime 5, and said he and his team are in the process of updating that research.

He said that when he finishes this latest report, the public will be shocked to discover that abortion doctors like Thomas William Michaelis are not isolated.

Man sentenced to jail after impregnating 13 year-old later taken for abortion

Ronte L LathamA 20-year-old Indiana man has been sentenced to a year in prison, after he impregnated a 13 year old girl who was later taken for an abortion.

According to reports, the girl met Latham while visiting a park.

The victim told police Latham did not ask the teen’s age before or during sex that took place at his home, which, according to court records began in December of 2012.

Ronte L Latham COurt

The girl became pregnant and had an abortion in February 2013. Latham admitted to having sex with the child but claimed he was unaware that she had the abortion.

Latham, pleaded guilty in September to one Class C felony charge of child molesting. In addition to the jail time, he was given three years on probation and ordered to pay $600 in restitution.

According to Life News, Allen County Right to Life was aware of this 13-year-old girl having an abortion (non-identifying information only on her) and the abortionist not reporting it. The pro-life group filed hundreds of complaints with the Indiana State Attorney General’s Office, against abortion doctor Ulrich Klopfer, alleging sloppy record keeping at his abortion clinic.

Apparently, Klopfer was not reporting abortions he performed on under age girls. The Indiana Attorney General’s office filed complaints filed against Klopfer and in September asked the state’s medical board to review the license of Klopfer and three of his associates Dr. Kathleen Glover, Dr. Resad Pasic, and Dr. Raymond Robinson, for failing to report.

At the time those charges were filed, Klopfer faced criminal misdemeanor charges of failing to properly report abortions on a 13-year-olds in Gary and South Bend.

Recently, a national pro-life group compiled 60 criminal case summaries showing that abortion and Planned Parenthood centers fail to report abortions on minor children. That report, published by Life Dynamics in Denton, Texas, can be read here.
