CVS/pharmacy has announced that they will stop selling cigarettes and all tobacco products at its more than 7,600 stores nationwide by October 1, 2014
According to a statement by CVS, “Ending the sale of cigarettes and tobacco products at CVS/pharmacy is simply the right thing to do for the good of our customers and our company. The sale of tobacco products is inconsistent with our purpose – helping people on their path to better health.
As the delivery of health care evolves with an emphasis on better health outcomes, reducing chronic disease and controlling costs, CVS Caremark is playing an expanded role through our 26,000 pharmacists and nurse practitioners. By removing tobacco products from our retail shelves, we will better serve our patients, clients and health care providers while positioning CVS Caremark for future growth as a health care company. Cigarettes and tobacco products have no place in a setting where health care is delivered. This is the right thing to do.”
But….while CVS seems to be concerned for the health of their customers- they will continue the sale of the controversial abortion drug PLAN B to all who want the drug no matter the age.
Here CVS Describes abortion.
Plan B can prevent the baby from implanting in the uterus which is an abortion!
Here is How Plan B Works:
Plan B One-Step® may also work by preventing fertilization of an egg (the uniting of sperm with the egg) or by preventing attachment (implantation) to the uterus (womb).
HOW PLAN B ABORTION DRUGS COVERS FOR CHILD RAPE:
Students for Life has posted this under cover vid showing two actors one posing as an adult male having sex with a year old teen. The vid clearly reveals the dangers of allowing abortion pills to e OTC to anyone w/o ID. This law was changed after the abortion lobby worked to have it changed. In the vid, the male actor is sold Plan B by a CVS employee.
Here CVS Sells Plan B to a 15 year old – no ID required !!!

McAllen, TX – Abortionist Lester Minto is defiant concerning new safety standards passed by the Texas Legislature last week, especially concerning the new standards for dispensing abortion pills. He operates Reproductive Services, an abortion clinic in the Rio Grand Valley community of Harlingen that does 1,500-2,000 abortion per year, according to a New York Times story published on July 13, 2013.
If forced to comply with the new law, Minto says he is willing to seek other means of continuing to provide abortions, even if his substandard clinic must close.
Minto, who called the Texas abortion law “an insult to women’s intelligence,” said he would keep doing abortions “whether that means under the cover of a mesquite tree or on a shrimp boat or going to Mexico” where abortions are also illegal.
“I didn’t say I’d stop doing abortions. I’m not going to give this up…And I’m not going to abandon girls,” Minto told a local newspaper.
“Minto’s comments show his complete disregard for the health and lives of women and his insistence on subjecting women to substandard practices as if she did not deserve anything better,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “Being treated by abortionists as something less than a human being is the real insult to the intelligence of women.”
The New York Times and other mainstream news outlets are raising concerns that in Texas, if the new law shuts down abortion clinics that cannot comply with new safety regulations, women would make the short trip across the border to Mexico where abortion-causing pills are readily available over the counter as many women already have been doing for years.
Usually medical abortions are done using a cocktail of mifepristone (RU486) and misoprostol (Cytotec). The patient takes one dose drugs at the abortion clinic then the rest at home, where she has the abortion. There is no monitoring done on the woman, who is not at the clinic during the painful abortion process that resembles a miscarriage.
However, even some abortion clinics often just use Cytotec to simulate uterine contractions and cause an abortion in early pregnancy. Cytotec is a drug originally developed to treat stomach ulcers which has been used off-label by abortionists for years despite manufacturer warnings because it is cheap, if not particularly safe. It is known to cause unpredictable and sometimes violent contractions. In fact, Hispanic have become so familiar with over-the-counter use of Cytotec that they refer to it as “Star Pills” due to the tablets’ multi-sided shape.
Minto further reflected an attitude that women don’t deserve high medical standards when he insensitively told ABC News, “It’s kind of like a cheap cure for a radiator leak. Its efficacy rate is about 30 percent when used alone and improperly. But even though I don’t approve of it, I can’t criticize it. I would probably try the same if I were in a situation like these women.”
Minto may be the newest darling of the pro-abortion media, but his record is not clean. In 1996, Minto was disciplined for allowing staff to practice without adequate supervision including “allowing a physician’s assistant to utilize pre-signed prescription and to telephone in prescriptions for patients without consulting with [Minto].” This is a practice that helped land Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell and several of his associates who masqueraded as “doctors” in trouble with the law.
Amy Hagstrom-Miller, who operates another Rio Grand Valley abortion clinic in McAllen, Texas, known as Whole Women’s Health, is also opposed to the new abortion pill standards and has opines that women will seek to obtain abortion pills in Mexico or at flea markets if her clinic is forced to close.
While abortionist worry about the “unmonitored” use of abortion drugs should abortion clinics that cannot meet the minimum safety requirements be forced to close, that concern seems shallow considering the current way abortion pills are dispensed…
Hagstrom Miller admits that her McAllen abortion clinic now uses abortionists that fly in from other states, making supervision and follow-up by a licensed physician nearly impossible.
The Baltimore Sun is reporting:
State health regulators have suspended the licenses of several abortion clinics owned by Associates in OB/GYN Care for the second time after an employee with no health care license or certification gave a patient a drug to induce an abortion at the Baltimore facility.
The same employee also performed an ultrasound on the woman, who was found to be 22 weeks pregnant with multiple fetuses, although the employee wasn’t trained in the procedure, according to records released Friday by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. There was no physician at the clinic even though the woman had scheduled an appointment for a May 4 procedure.
The doctor who arrived at the clinic later that day refused to perform the abortion, saying “this facility is not equipped to do this procedure safely,” according to the state records.
The state’s Office of Health Care Quality investigated the facility and suspended its license after receiving an anonymous complaint about the patient’s treatment on May 7. The agency also looked into operations at clinics owned by OB/GYN Care in Frederick, Silver Spring and Cheverly and suspended the licenses of those clinics as well.
The investigation found that it was common practice to administer the drug Misoprostol to induce an abortion in patients 11 weeks or more pregnant even if the patient has not been seen by a doctor and there was no physician at the clinic.
In a hearing earlier this month, OB/GYN Care admitted that treatment of the patient at the Baltimore facility and the protocol for using Misoprostol was improper, the state documents said. However, the firm blamed the problem on one physician and contested the license suspension.
The state declined to lift the suspension because OB/GYN Care did not provide “compelling evidence,” to do so, according to state documents. OB/GYN Care can request an additional hearing to get the licenses reinstated.
The OB/GYN-run clinics in Baltimore, Landover and Silver Spring had their licenses suspended in March after a woman had complications following an abortion at the Baltimore facility and died at a local hospital. The woman had trouble breathing following, the state said, she suffered cardiac arrest at the clinic although the clinic disputed that assessment.
The patient suffered from a fatal heart condition, may have had defective heart valves and was probably in heart failure, wrote Melissa Shachnovitz, an administrator with OB/GYN, in a letter to state officials in March in response to the license suspension.
Although the woman’s death was caused by underlying conditions and not the abortion, state investigators found the incident raised questions about whether doctors at the clinic could handle an abortion that goes wrong.
Health officials also cited other problems at the facilities at the time. At the Baltimore clinic, investigators found the physician who performed the abortion wasn’t certified in CPR and the defibrillator at the clinic did not work. Investigators observed a patient at the Silver Spring clinic who was left alone for three minutes after waking up, leaving her at risk of falling. At the Landover location, the nurse did not know how to use the defibrillator or suction machine, and the defibrillator pads had expired.
The licenses were reinstated about two weeks later after OB/GYN Care submitted what is called a “plan of correction.” A spokeswoman for the clinics said at the time that the company had corrected the issues at all three facilities. The defibrillators were fixed and staff retrained. They also performed emergency drills.
The suspensions were among the first actions the state took since adopting regulations for abortion clinics last year. Created in part because of a botched procedure at an Elkton clinic in 2010, the regulations allow the state to fine or shut down a clinic for violations related to anesthesia, emergency services, lab work and other areas.
Several delegates complained earlier this year that the state was not inspecting clinics quickly enough after a New York teacher died at a Germantown facility in February.
Planned Parenthood Delaware under investigation for unsafe abortion clinic after several emergenciesPosted in 911 calls, Abortion clinic sued, Abortion Clinic Worders, Abortion complication, Abortion injury, Abortion pill, Abortionist, Planned Parenthood Employee, Planned Parenthood Investigated with tags 911, Abortion, botched abortions, Delaware, Eric Schaff, Former Employee, GAILYN B. THOMAS, Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich, Joyce Vasikonis, M.D., Planned Parenthood od Baltimore, under investigation, unsafe, unsanitary, Unsterile on April 10, 2013 by saynsumthn
Delaware Planned Parenthood of Baltimore in Wilmington has announced that abortion procedures are on hold and a local news station has announced that the tax funded clinic is under investigation by the state after two staffers say the clinic was not sterile and unsafe. The story broke last night. At least five Planned Parenthood patients have been rushed to the ER. In addition, one doctor and two nurses have “mysteriously left” as well, according to reports.
According to the Planned Parenthood website, surgical abortions will be referred to “another provider” but chemical abortions will still be provided:
Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich, former employee said, “It was just unsafe. I couldn’t tell you how ridiculously unsafe it was.”
Werbrich alleges conditions inside the facility were unsanitary. “He didn’t wear gloves,” said Werbrich.
Who is HE?? We do not know for sure, but records indicate the medical director for Planned Parenthood is Eric Schaff:
In 1997, Dr. Schaff was trained by Planned Parenthood of New York City in surgical abortion. “I felt inadequate because I had to rely on other physicians for medication abortion complications. Since I learned these surgical skills, I feel empowered as a clinician because I can provide complete reproductive healthcare.”
Apparently- this Planned Parenthood cannot find experienced abortionists, they have to request medical students !!
And in 2006, a woman sued Planned Parenthood after an abortion they performed landed her in the hospital with an ectopic pregnancy. The doctor on record at that time was GAILYN B. THOMAS, M.D Read here.
Another former employee, Joyce Vasikonis told Action News, “They were using instruments on patients that were not sterile.” The former nurses claim that a rush to get patients in and out left operating tables soiled and unclean.
Werbrich said “It’s not washed down, it’s not even cleaned off. It has bloody drainage on it.”
“They could be at risk of getting hepatitis, even AIDS,” added Vasikonis. Both of these nurses said, they quit to protect their own medical licenses, stunned by what they called a meat-market style of assembly-line abortions.
Vasikonis said, “I felt I could be held liable if a patient was harmed.”
“Planned Parenthood needs to close its doors, it’s needs to be cleaned up, the staff needs to be trained, said Werbrich.”
According to the news station, Since January 4th, five patients allegedly have been rushed from the facility to the emergency room, again placing the clinic in the spotlight.
Pro-lifers have documented several of those incidents:
In February of 2013, a woman was taken by stretcher out the back of Planned Parenthood in Wilmington to a local emergency medical center following a botched abortion. She was loaded into a St. Francis Hospital ambulance, according to Rae Stabosz of Newark, Delaware…It was the third such event witnessed by pro-lifers in a two-year period.
Operation Rescue has published newly obtained 911 recordings of two medical emergencies at Planned Parenthood in Wilmington, Delaware, which took place on February 8, and 16, 2013.
In both cases, patients were transported to a local hospital with abortion complications that could not be managed by abortionists and nurses who attended the women at the clinic.
The 911 recordings were obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests made by a participant in a local 40 Days for Life campaign with the assistance of Operation Rescue. While prayer vigil participants were present for the incident on the 16th, they were unaware that another medical emergency had taken place at that same Planned Parenthood abortion clinic just 8 days earlier until they received the open records files.
“The 911 recordings are important because they expose the inconvenient truth that abortion isn’t as safe as the abortion cartel would have you believe,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue and Pro-Life Nation. “Women are maimed and killed by shoddy abortionists on a regular basis, but it is covered up by the clinics, the abortion lobby, and the media. Public records tear way the curtains of secrecy that enables abortionists to abuse women. This helps us warn the public and hold abortionists accountable for their actions.”
Patient 1 –February 8, 2013
February 8, 2013, Planned Parenthood called 911 at 1:30 p.m. to ask for assistance for a patient that was unconscious and struggling to breathe. Despite the presence of two physicians and three nurses, her condition still required emergency assistance from paramedics.
The caller indicated that they were using an emergency non rebreather on the patient, which is a mask with a flat bag that used in emergency situations to provide oxygen to the patient.
However, the non rebreather seemed inadequate, because the caller told the dispatcher that they were “getting ready to bag” the patient. “Bagging” a patient is done with a hand-held device used to provide positive pressure ventilation to a patient who is not breathing or who is breathing inadequately. It is an emergency resuscitative measure.
Paramedics and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene. The outcome of this patient’s medical emergency is unknown.
Patient 2 – February 16, 2013
A second medical emergency at Planned Parenthood in Wilmington, which was witnessed by pro-life activists, took place on February 16. Video was taken by Rae Stabosz during a 40 Days for Life prayer vigil that shows a woman on a gurney with a possible IV bag containing plasma or other blood products.
The partially-redacted 911 recording confirmed that the patient suffered heavy bleeding. The Planned Parenthood employee that placed the call opted for response by paramedics instead of a simple ambulance transfer, indicating that the patient needed emergency care.
She was rushed to St. Francis Hospital for emergency treatment.
These incidents comprise the third and fourth medical emergencies observed or documented by prayer vigil participants at Planned Parenthood in Wilmington over a two-year period.
“We wonder – how often does it happen when we are not there?” asked Stabosz.
In March of 2013 a woman told protesters her daughter was bleeding from an incomplete abortion which Planned Parenthood had performed on her days earlier was taken to the emergency room. Then, at approximately 1:00PM witnesses documented an ambulance arriving at the same Planned Parenthood, and removing another patient.
According to Operation Rescue, A 63-year old Catholic grandmother of 12 was violently attacked outside this Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Wilmington, Delaware, as she filmed the fourth abortion injury there in less than five weeks.
According to reports, Rae Stabosz had been praying outside the Planned Parenthood clinic when a woman and her mother came to the clinic. Rae learned that the woman was suffering complications to an abortion she received on March 8. Rae persuaded them to go to St. Francis hospital where it was discovered that aborted baby body parts, including a leg and foot, had been left behind by the abortionist. The woman required additional surgery and was referred to legal counsel.
Rae left Planned Parenthood to attend mass, and when she returned to the Planned Parenthood, she was shocked to see that yet another medical emergency was in progress. As she was filming the incident with her cell phone, a young woman came out of the Planned Parenthood clinic and violently attacked Rae, knocking her down and taking away her phone.
The attacker took Rae’s phone inside the clinic and gave it to a Planned Parenthood worker. Rae immediately ran into the clinic, retrieved her phone, then returned to the street where she continued to film the gurney with the injured patient, covered head to toe in blankets and sheets, being loaded into the ambulance.
The police soon arrived and Rae made a police report, but the attacker has fled the scene. At this writing, she remained at large.
Rae began to feel the effects of the attack, and another ambulance was summoned to transport her to the same hospital where the two Planned Parenthood patients were receiving treatment. Rae was treated and released with minor injuries.
Action News has learned during our investigation that one doctor and two more nurses at the clinic have mysteriously left.
Widely Published Webcam Abortions Study by Partner of Planned Parenthood
Jenifer Bowen | February 26, 2013 |
What looked like a study promoting Planned Parenthood’s webcam abortions that was widely published in the media, turns out to be co-authored by a radical abortion group, that not only works closely with Planned Parenthood, but collaborates with Planned Parenthood on dangerous abortion experiments on women in the Third World.
The article on the study which ran in The Des Moines Register, 11/16/12, features Daniel Grossman, MD, Vice President for research at Ibis Reproductive Health. Ibis, based in Massachusetts, is an organization that aggressively promotes abortion, especially medication (abortion pill / RU-486) abortions like the ones Planned Parenthood offers by webcam in Iowa. On its website, Ibis’ goals include:
• Documenting the impact of abortion restrictions and making the argument to lift those restrict-ions (particularly bans on public funding for abortion in the U.S.)
• Conducting clinical and social science research to shed light on ways to improve second-trimester abortion services and access to these services.
• Testing cutting-edge service delivery models that have promise for increasing access to medication abortion (e-medicine, pharmacy and primary care provision, role of misoprostol alone, simplifying the regimen, etc.)
• Leading the effort to bring researchers, advocates, and providers together to move oral contraceptives over the counter.
Clearly, a study by Ibis is not an unbiased, independent review of Planned Parenthood. It gets worse.
Ibis’s relationship with Planned Parenthood goes deeper. The two organizations collaborate on testing of dangerous abortion procedures on women in the Third World.
In a 2012 study, “Cervical Priming Before Dilation and Evacuation,” one of the things Ibis and Planned Parenthood are testing on women in the Western Cape Province of South Africa, is to see if the drug misprostol might expel the babies of women at “13 to 20 weeks gestation,” before a D&E abortion.
D&E is Dilation and Evacuation: an abortion method where a baby up to 24 weeks or 6 months in the womb is torn apart by forceps with sharp metal jaws.
Misoprostol is the second set of drugs given in a medication (abortion pill/RU-486) abortion. Planned Parenthood uses it here in Iowa with its webcam abortions— it’s the drug the woman takes at home which expels the baby.
So in South Africa, Ibis and Planned Parenthood are testing misoprostol abortion pills on women who are 3-5 months pregnant, who should be having a surgical abortion. What kind of complications do they anticipate?
Ibis and Planned Parenthood’s study, listed on the U.S. National Institute of Health’s website http://www.clinicaltrials.gov, says, “Major complications to include:
• Admission to the ward after the procedure
• Readmission after discharge
• Abdominal surgical procedure
• Suspected uterine perforation
• Hemorrhage requiring transfusion”
These women are abortion industry guinea pigs, whose lives are expendable. In the Third World, U.S. based abortion organizations like Ibis and Planned Parenthood are less likely to face lawsuits or other consequences even when the major complications of their experiments include “Death.”
In the U.S., the FDA protocol has only approved RU-486 / medication abortions for women up to 49 days (or 7 weeks) into their pregnancy.
Here in Iowa, Planned Parenthood offers RU-486/medication abortions up to 63 days (2 months and 1 week) into a pregnancy, in violation of FDA protocol.
But the women in the Ibis study are 3-5 months into their pregnancy—well into their second trimester.
In another Ibis sponsored study, also listed on http://www.clinicaltrials.gov, Canadian women as young as 16, were tested in Vancouver, to see if they might abort using misoprostol alone. This means doing away with the first drug in a medication (RU-486 abortion), Mifeprex, which kills the baby.
Why misoprostol? Because it is cheap. Planned Parenthood in Iowa, in addition to going beyond on FDA Protocol limits on when a medication abortion can be used, also violates the FDA Protocol by changing the combination of pills — lowering the number of Mifeprex pills (the first drug in a medication abortion that kills the baby) and then upping the number of misoprostol pills. Mifeprex costs about $90 a pill, while misoprostol costs about $1 a pill. (For more information, see IRTL News, September 2010 online at http://www.iowaRTL.org/ “What’s New.”)
Ties to population control group, Population Council
Before Ibis, Dr. Grossman worked for the Population Council of Mexico City, an offshoot of the Population Council, first founded in 1952 by John D. Rockefeller III — to force population control across the globe. Several of Ibis’ board members are former Population Council employees.
In 1967, Planned Parenthood awarded Rockefeller III, its dubious “Margaret Sanger Award,” named for the Planned Parenthood founder, whose goal was to purify the human race through birth control, sterilization and abortion. Rockefeller, like Sanger, was into eugenics.
The Population Council holds the patent and rights to market and distribute RU-486 (medication abortion pills) in the United States. The developer of the drug, French pharmaceutical company Roussel Uclaf donated the patent to the Population Council in 1994 to avoid protests in the United States.
The Population Council sponsored the RU-486 trials in the U.S. in the late 1990s, which then Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa, took part.
Readers of the IRTL News will recall that in 1995, Jill June, Planned Parenthood’s CEO in Iowa, told the press that there had been no complications among the women participating in the trial at Planned Parenthood’s Des Moines clinic.
Later reports indicated that at least one woman who had taken the abortion pill at the Des Moines clinic nearly bled to death.

Plan B has become Plan A in the Bloomberg administration’s stealth war on teen pregnancy.
Handouts of the “morning-after pill” to sexually active students have skyrocketed under an unpublicized project in which health centers in public schools offer girls a full menu of free birth-control drugs and devices, records obtained by The Post show.
Last September, the city revealed it had started giving out Plan B and other birth control in the nurses’ offices of 13 high schools. At the time, officials said 567 girls had gotten Plan B.
But the birth-control blitz was much bigger than the city had acknowledged. About 40 separate “school-based health centers” doled out 12,721 doses of Plan B in 2011-12, up from 10,720 in 2010-11 and 5,039 in 2009-10, according to the newly released data.
About 22,400 students sought reproductive care from January 2009 through last school year, records show. Under state law, minors don’t need parental OKs to get contraceptives.
