Do Planned Parenthood slogans disguise real eugenics mission?

Planned Parenthood’s cleverly crafted slogans may be disguising their real mission of eugenics. From its inception in 1916, Planned Parenthood has been an organization full of deception which misleads the public with snappy sounding taglines that make their them appear as if they are for “health” and families. We have assembled a few examples for your review below.

This vintage 1972 poster from Planned Parenthood reads, “We think children are priceless too.” This was published one year before the infamous Roe v. Wade abortion decision, but make no mistake, Planned Parenthood fully supported abortion, providing them in New York and openly pushing for it’s legalization nationally. The ad is very misleading attempting to convince it’s audience that Planned Parenthood actually believes children that they openly abort in the womb are “priceless.” Then comes the rub, as the ad goes on to state, “But if a child happens to be unplanned, it could mean financial pressures. You see a child is not just and extra mouth to feed. Its a whole other life to be provided for.”

The very name Planned Parenthood is deceptive. It was created to sound appealing on the outside until you dig deep to discover that they were founded in eugenics. Even their motto of “every child a wanted child” is misleading and very possibly originated in eugenics as well.

A little known fact is that the origin of Planned Parenthood’s oft repeated “Every child a wanted child” slogan may have come from Fredrick Henry Osborn. Osborn was a founding member of the American Eugenics Society(AES) and President of the organization in 1946. He also helped start the Population Council as well as the Pioneer Fund, all known for their population control agenda.

Osborn signed Margaret Sanger’s “Citizens Committee for Planned Parenthood” published in her review in April of 1938.

After World War 11, many eugenics leaders were concerned that the Nazi Holocaust (inspired partly by the American Eugenics Movement) had negatively affected the public’s perception of eugenics. This led to the AES changing the name of their publication from Study of Social Biology and the American Eugenics Society to The Society for Biodemography and Social Biology. At the time of this change, Osborn correctly pointed out how abortion ( with the same agenda) had replaced the term “eugenics” writing:

“The name was changed because it became evident that changes of a eugenic nature would be made for reasons other than eugenics, and that tying a eugenic label on them would more often hinder than help their adoption. Birth control and abortion are turning out to be great eugenic advances of our time.”

Osborn’s mission was to reinvent eugenics and make the concept more acceptable, something he believed his predecessors had not accomplished. According to author Edwin Black in his book on eugenics entitled, War Against the Weak:

“Osborn and his colleagues were searching for a new socially palatable definition of eugenics that would promote the same ideals under a new mantle. One Osborn cohort, Frank Lorimer, wrote Osborn, “Personally, I would redefine ‘eugenics’ to include concern with all condition affecting the life prospects of new human beings at birth.” He added the caveat, “This is a metter of strategy rather than ideology.”

Author Rebecca Messall, adds some additional insight into Osborn’s views. Writing in, The Long Road of Eugenics: From Rockefeller to Roe v. Wade, Messall states:

In 1940, Osborn received a public-relations boost from Time magazine, in an article titled “Eugenics for Democracy.” The article described him as being “among the leaders of the new, environmental eugenics.” In the article, Osborn articulated the meaning of this new eugenics: “An environment equalized at a higher level would show up a superior heredity in great numbers of persons now at a low level of development.” He believed doctors should involuntarily sterilize the feeble-minded, but said a “sound population policy stresses ‘freedom of parenthood’—freedom not to have children unless they are wanted.

Today, Osborn’s idea of “freedom of parenthood” or more commonly used concept that children are to be “wanted” have adorned Planned Parenthood’s website and advertisements for years. In essence, the new “eugenics” slogan now reads, “Every Child to be a Wanted Child.”

Today, Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest provider of abortion admittedly performing well over 300,000 abortions annually while taking in a half billion in dollars of revenue from the tax payer each year. Since his tenure in office, Obama has increased those dollars by 35%. Now, Hillary and Obama are vowing to force the tax payer to fund abortion by calling for the repeal of the Hyde Amendment.

Whether Planned Parenthood’s often repeated slogan originated from a former president of the eugenics movement or not, it is a misnomer to claim that a child has a “right” to be “wanted” but not a “right” to be born. The organization which is now abortion-focused is celebrating (imagine celebrating death?) it’s 100th year. But, Planned Parenthood remains tied to the vision of their founder, a staunch eugenics promoter, Margaret Sanger who admittedly gave speeches to the racist Klu Klux Klan. Despite this fact, Planned Parenthood praises her, writing this on a page regarding the organization’s history:

“Today we celebrate her [ Margaret Sanger] accomplishments, her pioneering work and her ideas. Margaret Sanger’s vision has inspired the availability of reproductive health care for women…across the nation.”

And this one:

“Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, is one of the movement’s great heroes. Sanger’s early efforts remain the hallmark of Planned Parenthood’s mission…”

While Planned Parenthood attempt to disassociate themselves from their eugenics beginnings, the truth is that the agenda has merely morphed under a new name, abortion. Given this, perhaps Osborn’s statement that “Birth control and abortion are turning out to be great eugenic advances of our time” has come true.

She Walked into Planned Parenthood Yesterday, but She Didn’t Walk Out

Annapolis, MD – She walked into a Planned Parenthood abortion facility yesterday morning, but she didn’t walk out.

An ambulance was called on the morning of Tuesday, October 4, 2016, for a hemorrhaging patient at the Planned Parenthood clinic in Annapolis, Maryland.

Local pro-life activist Pamela Palumbo provided Operation Rescue with photos and video within minutes of the incident that showed female patient being removed from the abortion facility on a gurney. She was then transported to a nearby hospital.

A radio traffic recording made by Anne Arundel County Police, Fire and EMS was immediately obtained by Operation Rescue.

The recording revealed that units, including an ambulance, were dispatched to Planned Parenthood, located in the Mason Building on West Street in Annapolis at about 11:08 a.m. in response to a hemorrhage.

This is the second documented medical emergency at the Annapolis Planned Parenthood this year. Another woman was transported to the hospital on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. The injuries suffered by that patient are unknown due to heavily redacted 911 records.

On February 19, 2013, the Annapolis Planned Parenthood failed its initial licensing inspection after an inspector documented improper sterilization of surgical instruments in a leaky sterilization machine. The facility was granted a license anyway.

Inspectors did not return to Planned Parenthood for nearly 2½ years. In July, 2015, the facility was found by some stroke of luck to be in compliance with Surgical Abortion Facility requirements.

“I have seen so many pictures of ambulances at abortion clinics that I lost track long ago,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “It is time for regulators to take their jobs more seriously and protect the public from being injured, maimed, and even killed at American abortion facilities, as we have seen happen all too often. Right now, women are fodder for exploitation and harm by unscrupulous, profit-centered abortion businesses. Enough is enough!”
