“Abortion? yeah – we do that” says ad by “spa-like” abortion clinic
Carafem is a a franchise of clinics belonging to the 501c3 non-profit FemHealth USA.
“We utilize research and technology to provide abortion services that offer greater convenience, enhanced medical professionalism, and personalized comfort,” they state online.
FemHealth’s board members include the following:
Dr. Sara Newmann : ObGyn and assistant clinical professor at UCSF Medical Center
Phil Harvey : Founder of DKT International and Population Services International
Christopher Purdy : President of FemHealth USA
Melissa Grant : Vice President of Health Services of FemHealth USA

Nicole Gray: US Country Director at Marie Stopes International
But, behind all the hype, what they really are is an abortion clinic located just outside of the District in Montgomery County, Maryland, where they “specialize in first trimester abortions (up to 10 weeks) with the abortion pill” for $400.00 a pop.
Chris Purdy, the president & CEO of Carafem, told The Huffington Post that he came up with the idea for the clinic around 18 months ago where he worked with Melissa S. Grant, a former Planned Parenthood director who is now Carafem’s vice president of health services to provide early-term abortion and make the experience less clinical.
According to their financial statement, Carafem received a substantial portion of its revenue from DKT International whose president Christopher Purdy is FemHealth USA Inc.’s Executive Director and chairman of its Board of Directors.

At Carafem, staff members plan to greet clients with warm teas, comfortable robes and a matter-of-fact attitude.
“We don’t want to talk in hushed tones,” said Carafem President Christopher Purdy. “We use the A-word.”

This nonchalant attitude toward child killing is shameful. You can publish all the cutesy videos you want and promote the most luxurious atmosphere there is – but in the end- what you are doing remains the same.
