Planned Parenthood’s prenatal care hypocrisy

At Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic they state, “Prenatal care also includes advice on how mothers-to-be can best care for themselves. Learning about good nutrition, developing good eating habits, exercising sensibly, and getting plenty of rest are prime examples.”

What else does Planned Parenthood advise? No alcohol or drugs while pregnant. Why would that be? Because it can harm your baby!

Avoid Tobacco, Alcohol and Drugs If you smoke, drink alcohol, or use drugs, quit as soon as you know you are pregnant These dangerous habits can cause long-term harm to your baby. Ask your health care provider for resources to help you stop.”

According to an August 2014 response to a pregnant teen at Planned Parenthood’s Info for Teens, Ask the Experts blog, most Planned Parenthood health centers don’t provide the full range of prenatal care.
