SEIU partners with Planned Parenthood to get voters to support pro-abortion candidates
SEIU, the Center for American Progress, American Women, Planned Parenthood and other partners have announced today the launch of Fair Shot Action, what they call, “a new effort aimed at engaging voters on issues surrounding women.”
According to their press release, the coalition will help voters understand, “which candidates support women’s access to reproductive health” which is code for abortion on demand as they describe it as, “an area that has been under attack during the last year as a result of the Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby decision.”
A major component of the new effort will be a new online tool called Fair Shot Voter, where voters can pledge support and commit to act on those policies and can find information on state and local records on these issues.
Co-Sponsors of Fair Shot Voter include, AAUW Action Fund, Center For American Progress Action Fund, Emily’s List, Fair Shot Oregon, Generation Progress Action Fund, Moms Rising, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, PowerPAC+, Ultraviolet, USACTION and Women’s Voices Women Vote Action Fund.
The SEIU has close ties to abortion giant Planned Parenthood.
According to the SEIU’s Communications Center, “When you need to get your message out quickly, there is no better call center option… anywhere. We specialize in supporting political candidates and campaigns, issue organizations and labor unions.”
A February 2012 job posting from the SEIU shows they were hiring Contact Center Agents, to, “be the first point of contact for people who are seeking healthcare services at Planned Parenthood clinics around the country. SEIU-CC, LLC’s Virtual Contact Center is hiring agents who will handle incoming phone calls and online chats, on behalf of our client, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.”
And here the SEIU-CC calls Planned Parenthood a “client”:
