On Wednesday, September 17, 2014, Janet Porter, founder of Faith 2 Action, along with several pastors delivered 70 empty baby outfits to Ohio lawmakers, which represent the actual of unborn children that would be saved each day if Ohio were to pass the Heartbeat Bill.

A tag attached to each onesie says “70 babies with beating hearts are brutally killed by abortion” every day in Ohio.

The group’s message to Gov. John Kasich, House Speaker William Batchelder and Senate President Keith Faber states:

Every day in Ohio, 70 babies with beating hearts are brutally killed by abortion–something you pledged to END (not just regulate). These are not statistics. They are real babies who will fill these clothes if only you will call upon the legislature to pass the Heartbeat Bill for you to sign into law. Please make protecting these babies a top priority before the election. The price of inaction is far too high.”

The bill could ban abortions as early as six weeks into a pregnancy.

House Bill 248 has not had any hearings since it was introduced in August 2013 with the support of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar from TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting.”

The Heartbeat law would protect unborn children from abortion at the point a heartbeat can be detected.
