Former abortion clinic director says abortions in Texas could be cut in half following pro-life restrictions

CarolEverettFormer abortion clinic director turned pro-life, Carol Everett, appeared on Life Talk and stated that new restrictions in the state could cut abortions in half.

Carol spent 6 years selling abortions to women in four abortion clinics in Dallas/Fort Worth. She writes on her website, The Heidi Group, “After 35,000 abortions, the death of one woman and surgery on 19 other patients, God brought me to a crossroads. My life changed when I came to know the love and saving grace of Jesus Christ in 1983. I realized that my work was hurting women, not helping them.

Carol told Life Talk viewers that 17 abortion clinics have closed so far. One third of abortion clinics in Texas did not have hospital admitting privileges. With the defunding of Planned Parenthood, 13,000 babies have been saved. Abortions will be cut in half in Texas because of these laws.

After new abortion restrictions passed in Texas, Carol said the media is only reporting the abortion clinic closures, calling it a “War on Women” even though far more family planning facilities have opened which do not provide abortions to assist women in the state since the law went into effect, she states, “I’ll tell you what’s interesting on this war [on women], they’ve all been printing all these stories about how there’s no place for women to go. We went from 95 #abortion clinics providing Family Planning services in #Texas to 2,961 providers, some MD’s, all across the state of Texas, even in rural areas, and I want you to know that I have been working for weeks to try and get that printed [in the media] and no one will print it.”

Mark Crutcher, producer and host of Life Talk and president of Life Dynamics, said, “Do you want someone doing abortions who can’t get hospital privileges? The fact is, that’s who winds up working at an abortion clinic. No one goes to medical school to say, oh when I get out of medical school, I want to go work at Planned Parenthood. Nobody says that. You wind up at Planned Parenthood because you’re a bad doctor. We have seen this through our malpractice cases over the years. You are a bad doctor, you can’t get hospital privileges, you’ve got malpractice problems, or you lost your practice because you’re no dam good. That’s what happens and that’s who winds up working at Planned Parenthood.

Why would we say to poor women, you’re only option is to get your health care from an abortionist?”

Life Dynamics recently sent out fliers to every doctor in the state warning them that the abortion lobby wanted to recruit them because they have no doctors working at these clinics with Hospital privileges now required by law.

Carol added that Planned Parenthood is being upheld by federal dollars because of ObamaCare, “Those Planned Parenthood’s that are staying alive is because they are going to be providing ObamaCare. And we have got to find a way to take care of the dollar a month that was supposed to be optional that is now in ObamaCare. Every person in Obamacare will be paying a dollar a month for abortions.”
