Can the NSA lock you out of your home?

Posted in NSA, Spying with tags , , , , on December 31, 2013 by saynsumthn

According to the Magazine Spiegel, In January 2010, numerous homeowners in San Antonio, Texas, stood baffled in front of their closed garage doors. They wanted to drive to work or head off to do their grocery shopping, but their garage door openers had gone dead, leaving them stranded. No matter how many times they pressed the buttons, the doors didn’t budge. The problem primarily affected residents in the western part of the city, around Military Drive and the interstate highway known as Loop 410.

In the United States, a country of cars and commuters, the mysterious garage door problem quickly became an issue for local politicians. Ultimately, the municipal government solved the riddle. Fault for the error lay with the United States’ foreign intelligence service, the National Security Agency, which has offices in San Antonio. Officials at the agency were forced to admit that one of the NSA’s radio antennas was broadcasting at the same frequency as the garage door openers. Embarrassed officials at the intelligence agency promised to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and soon the doors began opening again.

It was thanks to the garage door opener episode that Texans learned just how far the NSA’s work had encroached upon their daily lives. For quite some time now, the intelligence agency has maintained a branch with around 2,000 employees at Lackland Air Force Base, also in San Antonio. In 2005, the agency took over a former Sony computer chip plant in the western part of the city. A brisk pace of construction commenced inside this enormous compound. The acquisition of the former chip factory at Sony Place was part of a massive expansion the agency began after the events of Sept. 11, 2001.

Big Brother NSA is spying on you thru your IPhone and computers

Almost no communication shared by users of Apple’s iPhone is sacred or hidden from the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA), thanks to a spyware program called DROPOUTJEEP that allows the agency to intercept SMS messages, access contacts, locate, and even activate the device’s camera and microphone.

Leaked documents made public by security researcher Jacob Appelbaum and Der Spiegel, a German news magazine, report that iOS devices implanted with DROPOUTJEEP have been successfully breached in 100 percent of the cases, according to a report in The Daily Dot.

“DROPOUTJEEP is a software implant for the Apple iPhone that utilizes modular mission applications to provide specific SIGINT functionality. This functionality includes the ability to remotely push/pull files from the device, SMS retrieval, contact list retrieval, voicemail, geolocation, hot mic, camera capture, cell tower location, etc. Command, control, and data exfiltration can occur over SMS messaging or a GPRS data connection. All communications with the implant will be covert and encrypted,” noted the report.

The National Security Agency (NSA) has apparently able to hack the iPhone since 2008, according to a Der Spiegel interactive report that looks at the NSA’s various tools used for spying purposes. One particularly interesting tool, codenamed “DROPOUTJEEP,” is an implant that was first used to compromise the first-generation iPhone and was able to send various data stored on the phone to the agency, including text messages, address book contacts, geolocation and voicemail. Furthermore, the software could activate the microphone of the iPhone, turn on the camera and take pictures and retrieve cell tower location.

The leaked materials show that the NSA had various other mobile-related spying “products” that worked with other smart devices:

GOPHERSET – an implant for GSM SIM cards to pull phone book, SMS and log files for incoming and outgoing calls
MONKEYCALENDAR – attack software that forces a SIM card to transmit geolocation data via covert SMS messages
TOTECHASER – an implant hidden in a satellite phone running Windows CE that transmits data via hidden SMS messages
TOTEGHOSTLY – an implant that enables full remote control on Windows Mobile phones offering data download and upload capabilities
PICASSO – modified GSM handsets that collect user data, audio data while also tracking the location of the handset

Indiana abortion doc to take hiatus after complaints surface and loses back up doctor

According to the News Sentinel, For the first time in decades, it appears Fort Wayne will soon be without a legal abortion provider – at least for a while.

Dr. Ulrich Klopfer, the Illinois doctor who has performed abortions in Fort Wayne for years but earlier this month lost his “backup” physician as required by local law, will no longer perform surgeries in his clinic at 2210 Inwood Drive, according to Cathie Humbarger, executive director of Allen County Right to Life.

Several calls placed by Right to Life supporters indicate Klopfer’s clinic in South Bend will accept Fort Wayne patients beginning next week, although pre-abortion counseling could continue to be offered locally, Humbarger said.

Klopfer confirmed he is taking a “hiatus” from performing abortions in Fort Wayne because of a lack of a required backup, but said he hopes to resume should he find a replacement for Dr. Geoffrey Cly, whose resignation is effective Jan. 1.

Humbarger said it would be premature to celebrate given Klopfer’s hoped-for return, but said the clinic’s demise would be “tremendous news for desperate mothers and babies vulnerable to abortion. Our goal has been to make Allen County abortion-free.”

The Allen County Patient Safety Ordinance requires doctors practicing but not residing in the county to have a relationship with a local doctor who can legally practice in Allen County. Additionally, state law requires abortion doctors to have local admitting privileges or have entered into an agreement with a physician who has admitting privileges at a hospital in the county or contiguous county in case of post-operative complications.

Cly, who is pro-life, said he agreed to serve as Klopfer’s backup in 2010 in order to protect the health of women receiving abortions from Klopfer, since he practices in Fort Wayne only one day each week. But in a Dec. 12 letter to Klopfer, Cly said he was terminating the arrangement because of Klopfer’s failure to file timely reports about abortions on girls under 14 as required by state law.

“Furthermore, you told an online news publication, RH Reality Check, that you now advise girls under 14 and their parents or guardians that they can go to Illinois or Ohio to avoid (Indiana’s) under-14 reporting requirement for child sexual abuse,” Cly wrote. “Your failure to report 13-year-olds’ abortions properly and your subsequent admission to advising parents to avoid state laws is alarming. According to Indiana law, sex with a girl under 14 – regardless of the perpetrator’s age – is child abuse. Your advice to cross state lines for abortions may help child abuse to continue and a perpetrator or abuser to walk free.”

“Abortions are legal, but I still want to keep women safe,” said Cly, who declined to comment on Klopfer’s future in Allen County.

In October, Humbarger said 487 consumer complaint forms were being sent to the Indiana attorney general and the Allen County prosecutor, each stating what Humbarger said are errors or omissions on the Terminated Pregnancy Reports that must be filed with the State Department of Health after each procedure is performed. Similar complaints have been filed by right-to-life supporters regarding Klopfer’s work at clinics in South Bend and Gary, and the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency has asked him to appear next month to explain his actions.

Klopfer said it is unfortunate that right-to-life supporters are more concerned about his activities than about sexual abuse in the Catholic Church, and said their attempts to curtail his Fort Wayne operation will only hurt women.

“They’ll have to drive another 100 or 200 miles. That will add to their cost and hardship,” he said.

Late term Abortionist Kenneth Edelin dies at 74 years old

Kenneth C. Edelin, a Boston physician whose 1975 manslaughter conviction for performing a legal abortion was overturned on appeal in a landmark test of medical, legal, religious and political questions surrounding #abortion in the United States, died Monday in Sarasota, Fla. He was 74. More in the Boston Globe here http://tinyurl.com/mjbwcb9

For his role – proJezebel Edelin Hero-abortion groups hailed the late term abortionist a HERO

Kenneth-EdelinAccording to the NY Times, Edelin was charged with causing the death of the fetus of an unwed 17-year-old during an elective abortion in her sixth month of pregnancy. In a six-week trial in Boston that explored uncharted legal ground and made headlines across the country, Edelin, who was black, was vilified as a baby-killer and defended as a victim of racial and religious prejudice being tried for an action that had never been defined as a crime: killing a fetus that may or may not have been a “person,” and whose rights had never been specified by law.

The abortion, which took place in 1973, began as a routine procedure: the injection of a saline solution that usually causes uterine contractions and the expulsion of the fetus. But several tries were unsuccessful, and Dr. Edelin completed the abortion by a surgical procedure known as a hysterotomy — making a small incision in the uterus, like a cesarean section, and detaching the fetus from the placental wall by hand.

Edelin Conviction Overturned

Kenneth Edelin, who remains a hero to the abortion rights movement, was found guilty of manslaughter when, during a hysterotomy abortion performed in a hospital operating room (basically a c-section performed with the intent to ensure the death, rather than the survival, of the baby), Edelin reached into the womb, detached the placenta, and watched the clock, waiting to make sure the baby was dead before removing him from the uterus. Edelin’s conviction was overturned on appeal.

“Nobody likes to do abortions,” Edelin told The New York Times in 1975, “but the least we can do is make it safe and humane.”

A New Video Game seeks to use abortion to QUOTE Save the World UNQUOTE.

The “One abortion… TO SAVE THE WORLD” can be played at ZombieFetusApocalypse.com

The game features a Zombie Fetus Apocalypse and begins by explaining that Sorority Girl got a little tipsy and had a one night stand at a party with a Zombie.

Zombie Fetus Vid Game

The target of the game is the so-called ZOMBIE-Human Hybrid “Brewing inside her.”

The mission of the game is to enter a vessel called the Roe-V-Wader and “eliminate the menace” and “save the world.”

What this game actually does is glorify abortion as a method of saving the world in the same way that Paul Ehrlich advocated population control by claiming the world would end if births were not reduced.

This reminds me of the outrage when students at Hunter College posted a video called: Abortion Battles:

There was such an outcry over an “Abortion Battles” baby-killing game video posted on YouTube by students at Hunter College in New York, New York, that they have removed it. But not so fast. Pro-lifer Meg saved it, and blogger Jill Stanek reposted it

Players put balloons under their shirts, then try to stab each other’s balloons and “Kill that baby!”

Students can be seen laughing and egging on the players.
