State Rep. Marty Walz, a Back Bay Democrat, will resign from the House next month to become the president and CEO of the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts
Walz, 51, plans to resign the seat in mid-February after starting her fifth term in the House of Representatives earlier this month, and will join Planned Parenthood in early March.
The board of Planned Parenthood voted Tuesday night to approve Walz’s hiring following a search led by PPLM board member Roberta Herman, the chief operating officer of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.
Walz will replace CEO Diane Luby who made quite a lucrative salary at the tax funded Planned Parenthood Organization.
Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts: Dianne Luby, who has led the league for 13 years, told the board that she’ll step down at the end of this year.
Luby became CEO of PPLM in 1999.
Luby began her lucrative career with Planned Parenthood starting at a salary of $ 83,230 which quickly increased. In 2008 PPLM’s 990reported she earned $266,416, in 2009 $265,269.
Planned Parenthood received $349.6 million in tax dollars in the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2008, and $363.2 MILLION Dollars on Government Grants ( Tax Dollars) in 2009- that is ONE MILLION DOLLARS PER DAY of taxpayer money !!!
